Opinions de Roma Pizza Brooklyn
The food was delicious and the service was great, the workers were nice and overall everything was amazing, would recommend.
Family owned and operated...what else more can you want? How about some of the best pizza in all of Brooklyn? Well that is what you get. Phil the owner is continuing his family tradition for over 25 years!
Amazing pizza! I highly recommend Roma Pizza. The calzones and pizza are delicious. The staff is friendly and the owner Phil is great. Looking forward to my next visit!
Get the Grandma slice or Grandma pie. The place gets crowded with toddlers running wild so place your order for on the go. If I am in the area and in the mood for a quick bite (pizza), I come here to order. It's probably best to place an order over the phone if you order a whole pie as opposed to a slice, it takes 15 mins to bake.
My go to Pizza in NYC. Steady customer for 25+ years….just waiting for my picture on the wall.. Real NYC pizza…hot heros..salads. They pride themselves on Quality ingredIents and it shows…
My favorite local pizza spot. Their margarita slice is one of the finest. Every now and then, you'll see their garlic knots crust slice; try one.
Seriously, after traveling down from Boston, we were just looking for a belly-filler, these pizzas are amazing! Went back there a couple of days later rather than chance the quick-bite offerings of Manhattan.
Got to be one of my favorite pizza places in Brooklyn. Staff there treats you like family and the food is amazing. Prices are good too!!
Great pizza, cash only to eat in restaurant. If you order online using "seamless" you can put on credit card and pick it up to take out or have it delivered.
A great neighborhood spot -- the heart of 7th avenue. One of the best slices in Brooklyn for a reasonable price. No gouging here!
I grew up going here and have lived and traveled all across NYC and the world including Italy, but I will always come back to Roma's if given the chance, a slice or pie of their Fresh Mozzarella is still my go to pick if I ever had to choose a last meal.
Roma has the best authentic New York Pizza. Always hot, always delicious. When I think about home, I think about Roma Pizza Brooklyn.
I was in traffic for over an hour my husband wouldn't pull over so I can get a slice of pizza so another 15 mins pass now im starving.. I jumped out the car and started walking looking hoping I Find a pizzeria.. Omg I see I Love Roma I ordered 2 slices and some garlic knots oh plus 2 sodas my stomach was hurting so bad from the hunger pains but boy when I took a bite of my nice crispy slice it was pure haven in my mouth the Best slice of pizza ever I should of gotten 2 slices I live far from them but I'm so happy I found you guys hopefully I can come back again.. thank you.. Ps it's the lady who had to run back to the car for cash..
I love bringing my kid here. It's clean, the pizza is great. The staff is super friendly. And seriously best music playing every time i come in.
Very good pizza, Friendly workers, and great aroma!
THE best slice of upside down Sicilian in brooklyn. It took me 3 years to find the best pizza here. Better than L & B
Yes their pizza is excellent but I have a soft spot for the Italian Hero which I buy every time I'm flying out of town.
Best Pizza-Pasta Place in Brooklyn. Feels like home. Fresh ingredients. Good value.
Pizza 🍕 was delicious. I really enjoyed it. Crust wasn't too thick, just perfect.
One of Park Slope's oldest and best pizza restaurants. In addition to pizza they also offer traditional Italian dishes - we have been coming here for over 25 years. March 2023 uodate still great pizza.
I came to Brooklyn from Italy 6 years ago. I know good pizza! This is the best pizza in NYC hands down. The sauce and dough is PERFECTION! 🤌🏼 chefs kiss
Update 3/7/2020, We're visiting family today and again enjoyed ourselves with zucchini sticks and some pizza. Area residents love Roma because of their food and great staff!😉 This is our go to pizzeria when visiting family in the area. Staff are always friendly and helpful if it's eating there or taking out.
Been a Park Slope resident for the past 10 years. Was more of a 5th Ave guy when it came to pizza. The past few months since my gym shut down, I have been a regular now to 7th Ave! Let me say this about Roma - the best old school pizza in the area. What a variety of dishes. Phil and his staff are amazing. Read some yelp reviews about the rowdy crowds after-school - duh! Of course, young kids like pizzerias to go after-school - it is passage of life and for making memories. Some of negative people out here need to enjoy life and support these mom and pop businesses. I'll be in for my regular slice this week for sure.
The staff is very nice, the pizza is delicious. The slices are still a 5/5 after you refrigerate and reheat them. This is by far the best pizza in Park Slope.
I've been coming here for over 20 years ever since I was a kid. Their quality has never dropped, their pizza is so good that even though I don't live nearby anymore I still make the trip out to eat there often
The pizza was great and the space was nice and the people were nice. If you arrive with a small child that *has to pee*!!! .... there *is* a bathroom behind the counter and there *is* a sign to let you know...you just might not notice it at first...so rest assured, you may still get to enjoy the awesome pizza with a refreshed small child.
BEST pizza in all of Brooklyn!! Phil welcomes us every time with a warm smile & our favorite slice. #1 pizzeria!!
Interesting on all accounts in this part of Brooklyn. Strong slice choices and everything in between. Very excited staff! We had the margharite, thin crust and sweet sauce..delicious. Cheese more traditional.
This might appear to be an ordinary pizza place but when you eat the pizza you will find something beyond the ordinary. For one, you will not get heart burns on your way home. Also I never got anything bad here. Everything here is made to perfection. I have been visiting this place for more than 30 year and never been disappointed.
Phil the owner and John the counter manager are great guys. They greet everyone with courtesy and respect. They remember their regulars and make everyone feel like family. I highly, highly recommend Roma Pizza.
Best pizzeria in park slope, hands down! My favorite is the fresh mozzarella slice 😋😋😋 delicious! Staff is always friendly and welcoming too!
Great prices and presentation on their buffalo wings. Great portions and they’re not stingy with the sauces! Very surprised with how affordable and good it was will be back for that pizza soon
Roma Pizza is dope! Classic NY pizza joint with an excellent Italian hero, chicken parm and Caesar on point (with the salty commercial croutons I love but never keep in my house), and ooey gooey baked pastas to satisfy your need for cheese! If you know what I’m talking about, check this place out ;)
I bring my kid 1-2 times per week after school. Great great environment! Extremely kind personnel.
Fillipo has the best Pizza that I’ve eaten in Brooklyn. Buffalo wings also go so hard. Delicious sauce and great hospitality. I suggest you stop by if you’re around. He also has some great recommendations of some other places to see nearby <3
My favorite slice spot when I can get there! Awesome food, good prices, really sweet staff, owned by a wonderful Italian family… doesn’t get more classic Bk pizza joint than Roma. Ask if Fil is around; he’s got great stories, food recs, and he will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face.
I got their stuffed shells when I came here on a chilly Friday night. The food was cheesy and tasty. The bread on the side was alright. Overall it's an inexpensive spot in the heart of Brooklyn. Being cash-only was mildly inconvenient.
We accidentally discovered this place. But what a discovery.. one of the best pizza I have ever had in NYC. It has a very thin base and the sauce is authentic and amazing. I haven't really tried their other offering. But I guess they will be good as well. Would recommend it to anyone visiting park slope
I had the pleasure of visiting Roma Pizza while in Park Slope and I must say, hands down it is my favorite pizzeria in NY! The place is exceptionally clean and the service is great! Most importantly the food is delicious! Go visit… and try their Hawaiian pizza or anything else on their menu! You won’t be disappointed!
Vodka pizza pie and chicken parmigiana hero’s. Best in town. I love their food always. Been coming here over 20 years. They have awesome lunches - salads and pizza is amazing. Best hero’s in the area.
If you are near by, it’s a must try. I love the fresh mozzarella slice and the chicken wings. The sause is just perfect. Not to hot but has just enough kick to it. They guys working the counter are always friendly and polite. Would highly recommend to try a cannoli if you have room for something sweet. By the way, the kitchen items are very good too. I ordered a chicken francese for my friend the other night and he said it was amazing.
I'm actually not a pizza person, but I am absolutely in love with the super Mario slice. It's so tasty, and the crust is always crispy. The parm is also always fresh and shakes out of the dispenser easily. Lol. I tried the meatball parm once, but I didn't like it. Meatball parms are usually hit or miss, so I don't hold it against them.
Great place to get a slice in Park slope. My family and have been ordering from them for years and never disspointed us. The previous owner was very polite the staff treated us like family. Sadly he passed always and his son took over his a great guy as well. The paste and pizza is a amazing.
I've been going to Roma Pizza in Park Slope since 1978 when they were on 5th Ave in Park Slope. It's my favorite childhood pizza. Even now that I live in New Jersey I still pay them a visit at least 3 times a year. The owners were always very nice and the employees are equally nice. Great place to pop in for great pizza and a great neighborhood.
Just came home from eating at roma pizza. Iam telling I eat out alot this cozy family place is unbelievable. The service and atmosphere is great. The food I know was made with love not just put together. I say that because the taste was full of flavor and fresh. If you like good food where the owner comes out to greet you and good service please give roma pizza a try.🥰
Despite being so late into the night, the pizza sitting out is probably cold and not entirely fresh. I order the last chicken and bacon slice, they heat it up, took one bite and it was as if i was just serve a fresh pie. By far, the best crust I've ever had as it was so thin but still soft, perfectly savory and buttery with the toppings. To top it off, they open till 11pm, you can't go wrong with this spot if you got the munchies.
been here multiple times, it’s like a hidden gem! their single slice of pizza is three dollars and is worth every penny. even the crust is excellent. just the presentation of their pizza makes you excited to eat it. they also have some indoor seating. they only downside is they only take cash, there is an ATM in the restaurant but it’s not worth using. the minimum to take out is like $10 or something. regardless i really do love the food and can’t wait to try the different items on the menu.
I grew up eating at Roma Pizza on 7th Avenue and it will always hold a special place in my heart. After toddler soccer practice my parents would take me here and those post game slices became a tradition. The smell the taste the atmosphere it is all part of my childhood. It has been over 15 years since I have dined here but the nostalgia alone brings me back. Walking in feels like stepping into a memory and that first bite takes me right back to simpler times. Whether you are a local or just passing through Roma Pizza is not just food it is Brooklyn comfort on a paper plate.
Down right home town goodness... Classic BK slice. With love. These guys are awesome...
If you’re craving a classic New York slice in Brooklyn, Roma Pizza on 7th Avenue is a fantastic spot to visit. When I stopped by around New Year in Brooklyn, the place had a lively neighborhood vibe that made the experience even better. The aroma of freshly baked pizza hit instantly — that perfect mix of melted cheese, rich tomato sauce, and warm crust. Their slices are generous, with a thin yet sturdy base that holds the toppings beautifully. Whether you go for a simple cheese slice or something loaded with toppings, every bite feels authentic and satisfying. The crust has that ideal balance: slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside. What makes Roma Pizza special is its simplicity. It’s not fancy, but it delivers exactly what you want — fresh, hot, and flavorful pizza served quickly. It’s the perfect place to grab a quick bite while walking around the neighborhood, especially during the festive New Year atmosphere. Affordable, tasty, and comforting — Roma Pizza truly captures the essence of a classic Brooklyn pizza experience.
Was the best pizza Ive ever had in NYC and amazing Service. I loved it and I will definitely go back again 😊 💯 % reccomended
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, the quality has always remained the same. Throughout the years they have always remained a staple in my heart as their pizza is second to none. I have yet to experience a more delicious slice in the city. I heavily recommend this place to all city goers and locals who are looking for a quick bite to eat.
Awesome specialty slices, classic Brooklyn service, and the best fountain soda in the neighborhood! Try the chicken broccoli or sicilian. Good for delivery too but you can't enjoy the old school booths unless you go there.
Delicious pizza by the slice or by the pie. Cash only! ATM on site but best to bring cash to avoid having to pay the $2.25 fee + $3 bank charge to use it.
The best slice of mushroom pizza I have eaten in a very long time! I literally haven't eaten a pizza slice so tasty!!! The crust is nice and thin n yet not very dry or crunchy. It's got a fresh unique taste to it. The sauce is very fresh and 👌.Took a train and Went back to this place just to eat the slice of mushroom pizza again. Definitely a must try!
It’s a great pizza place. Prices are lame but that’s standard for the city at this point of review. 12.50$ for a can of soda, vodka slice, and a margarita slice. Can’t complain about that, but the atmosphere is lousy. It’s a pizza joint so if you’re expectations are any higher you’re the one in the wrong haha.
This is our favorite pizza place in Brooklyn, We come here all the time and love the food. The pizza's crust is amazingly crispy, the sauce is sweet and they use high quality cheese. Prices are very reasonable and you cant even think about ordering only one slice.
Their regular slice is mediocre but their upside down pizza is delicious. Bummer that they only take cash, or else I would go more often!
Cash only. Pizza sauce is very sweet; too sweet for me. No parmesan shaker out with the other toppers. Good neighborhood vibes tho.
This isn't the greatest place to grab a slice in the neighborhood, but if you don't have a choice, why not stop by? Certainly beats the other restaurants in the area and is the quickest service you'll find around. Minus - Where is the bathroom here?
Cheap and cheerful pizza by the slice. The HUGE menu offers every variety of Italian food you can think of. You are better off sticking to the pizza!
Many types of their pizza and sauces are tasty, however more often than not, their by the slice pizzas are laying out for long periods of time giving them an old dried out look. Yes, they throw them in the oven to warm up, but a dried and old pizza is just that; regardless how you may try to rejuvenate it. In fairness to them, every other pizza joint does the same thing.
if you have no enough time to order something in regular restaurant and you passing from the road you can eat sonething. But don't expect too much. Thick dough and sweety ketchup...
Good pizza places in Brooklyn often have a signed cast photo from Goodfellas or Sopranos. This place inexplicably has a big portrait of one of America's worst presidents. Oh well. Good pizza (available as pies or slices) and calzones. There's a big full menu but I've never ordered anything but those two. I wish specialty slices weren't so much more than basic ones, but that's pretty much every slice place. Often infested with teenagers.
The pizza is ok, a little doughy and the tomato sauce is noticeably sweet, but the slice does the job. Its cute and nostalgic inside with all the picture frames and booths are always a good thing. I would go a lot in middle and high school and loved it, but it doesnt hit the same.
They provide awesome services and tasty pizza freshly made. The reason I took stars away is because of their sanitation and cleanliness especially under Covid. As we know they are cash only, I can’t believe what I’ve seen. Two guys worked that day. The guy who took my cash while picking up a call handed the phone directly to the other who got called while he was making my whole pie with bare hands!!!!!! Unbelievable:(((
Great pizza and very tasty but it's cash only. While that's not usually a problem, here it was because it only states cash only at the register, not on the window. Also their website takes credit cards and also accepts credit cards through seamless/grubhub, so why not in person? It was a major inconvenience.
$10 for two pepperoni slices is pretty insane, even in NYC. If the price per slice were posted I wouldn't have decided to order. Especially so when its a thinner, floppier pizza. Flavor was alright, definitely did not justify the price.
I got a buffalo chicken slice and the sause had a weird taste to it. Also the chicken was hard.
Doughy crust, slightly too thick for my taste. The reheated slice I had was below average for Brooklyn standards. I've had better pizza in the Pacific Northwest.
Ordered the pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage. Ordered online and it says pasta with crushed sausage and broccoli rabe in the description and no option to add sausage so assumed it was included in the $20 entree. Nope. It came with just penne and broccoli rabe, for $20. Feel a bit ripped off and will likely not return. Other food was ok, pasta overcooked but sauce was nice.
Review is based on service.. called from Fairfield Inn .9 miles away and told it's too far for delivery ...I guess you have to be within walking distance and then what's the point of advertising that you offer delivery
5$ for a Slice of a not so great pizza. Horrible never again. Price isnt the point its a slice should not be that much and it wasnt even that good to be worth it
Can't believe this place is in here.It must be a paid advert.Owner is a real mob who threats you when you write a review that he doesn't agree with on yelp.Pizza is average, burnt, expensive and tasteless. They don't take cards and size is only one. Delivery is late and cold so what to like?Nothing to like as it has been a place I wish I didn't know it exist. The area its surrounded by nice pizza places and decent customer service people so can't see a reason for anyone to enter this place.
Dont order from Grubhub or go there
Slice of pizza is $3.50( overly toasted)and a can of soda is $1.50. Credit cards are not accepted, only cash. Not worth it.
Their pizza 🍕 is SO SMALL and THIN. No cheese barely the sauce isn’t good. And the Mexican guy is rude at the register. They left my pizza in the oven for too long it almost burnt the cheese smh. And the pizza cost $3.50 and it isn’t even worth it. My first and last time coming here. Go else where to get your money’s worth 👎🏽👎🏽
Overpriced as hell and there’s a picture of Ronald Reagan on the wall
The worst pizza I’ve ever tried. Roma pizza? Really? Plus no card cash only? $15 for 2 slices and drink??? Never again...
On January 14th they double charged me for a pizza and garlic knots. Just learned today from credit card bill nearly a month later. Nearly $70 for a single regular sized pizza and 4 garlic knots. Check your card statements after you eat here.
The pizza is absolutely horrible. It literally taste like one of the dollar pizzas that they sell in the Bronx. The dough tasted overcooked and the sauce was very bland. There was a good amount of cheese applied to the slice but in all honestly it really is one of the worst pizzas I ever had🤦🏾♂️💯
I had the regular pizza slices, they tasted like cardboard, you can get better frozen pizza at a 1/3 of the price. Also, when I asked for hot pepper flakes, the guy behind the counter told me to share the one dispenser they have with a table across the room that was using it. Speaks volumes with how customers are treated here. It’s important to mention that I used to come here regularly a few years back, I’ve visited three times in the past year and each time is a disappointment. I have finally accepted that the delicious pizza I once had here is long gone.
