Great place to grab a bite to eat. The Ramen was delicious and I would highly recommend. The drinks were also very good and alcohol content was 4 out 5
Wow. The food is incredible. Great small bar/diner vibe. Great drinks. I loved the old fashioned and the espresso martini best. The Jerk ribs blew my mind. Guac and chips was a great take on a classic. And we ate every spec of everything. Sleeper right here. Check out Sally’s.
Food is always AMAZING! Good options to choose from. This place has a very relaxed vibe so if you are looking for a place to chat, catch up and eat great food it's a nice option!
I looove sally's. They truly never miss. The jerk veggie dumplings, amazing. The tostones, huge and crispy. That dressing the greens are tossed in? I'd eat straight greens everyday with whatever that is. Random, but I love their crushed ice. The curried chicken is my favorite but everything is honestly so good. Staff is always super cool and friendly and the music is amazing. When friends visit from out of town our go to place is always Sally's - whether it's for dinks or a good meal, the quality and consistency is there and it's a neighborhood favorite for me.
Dejae was our bartender, kind service, delicious drinks. Food was just what I needed, well-seasoned. We got the BEC, Fried chicken sandwich, and oxtail/spare rib dumplings. I recommend. Thanks for having us!¡
First time diner at Sally 's. You can dine in or dine outdoors. The wait time was for sit-down was swift. The vibe was upbeat. The meal was delicious. I had the Guyanese vegetable lo main. Holly was our hostess. She was professional, yet very friendly. I would definitely go back to Sally's to try other dishes.
Really loved this place! Everything had great full flavor and the fusion aspect I feel was really intelligently done! Also I am a sucker for a frose so I will be getting that anytime it’s on the menu. The crab Rangoon were really the main hit and a stroke of genius I think. I’ll be coming back for sure!
I thoroughly loved my experience at Sally's. The service was really great. Staff is very friendly and recommended some great options. The star of the show was the oxtail dumplings. They were flavorful and slightly spicy. We paired them with the curry crab rangoons which was so amazing. The drinks were cute and I loved all the options. The jerk chicken ramen was was so flavorful and delicious. The takatsu ramen needed some lime and was a little salty but overall good. I recommend a spot and I will definitely return for those dumplings!
had the kale & arugula salad, short ribs, chicken sandwich, & pork belly bowl and was so good! service was great, I can't remember our servers' names but they were so pleasant and helpful with the menu. cocktails were beautiful and tasted great as well! I definitely recommend if you're in Brooklyn.
Cheers to a groovy Caribbean brunch in 📍 Brooklyn, NY ✨ Step into a tropical gem in Brooklyn where diners can sit back, relax, and enjoy the vibes, food, and drinks. @sallysbklyn is a plant-filled restaurant bar bringing the island life to the city. The menu is Caribbean-Asian fare, served with tiki style cocktails and bottomless mimosas (weekends only). Here’s everything we ordered ⬇️: 🍳 Egg & Cheese Fried Rice (no bacon) 🍤 Shrimp & Grits 🍳 Jerk Chicken Hash Between their amazing food, Kaytranada playlist, and good vibes, this place deserves all the praise. I will definitely be back! 🥂
First time was a 8/10. The food & service was GREAT. We got seated immediately and the staff was nice which made the experience good. Lamb wontons were Perfect just a lil too spicy for myself but the flavor was on point. Crispy chicken sandwich n pulled pork was GREAT as well along with the fries n salad. The drinks were great too but I wish there was more juice given instead of ice. Second day coming here was a 7/10 and only because of the service. The food, again, was GREAT. Home fries were good and the Sally burger was good especially for someone who doesn’t eat burgers. The service now, wasn’t so great because it took 30 mins for the server to ask us what we wanted to eat. Also, apparently we needed reservations in order to sit in the booths but that wasn’t the case when we came the first time. Otherwise the food was GREAT, just very spicy.
Last night I tried food from Sally's for the first time and it was pretty good. We got take out and the service was really nice. I had the curry chicken which I was hoping to be cooked in a more Caribbean way, but it was still nice, spicy and the chicken portion was very decent which I was pleasantly surprised by. I had a taste of my friend's jerk fish and it was so good, sweet and spicy, but I wouldn't call it jerk. She also let me try the crab Rangoon dumplings and they were my favorite! I wish I had them hot and with the sauce provided, but they were still great. I got the matcha rum cake and there wasn't a hint of rum. I was really disappointed by this, and the size was also pretty shocking and small. At least if there was any taste of rum I would've said ok, the price is for the rum and not the size. But I felt cheated. The cake which was like a mini bundt cake was sweet and good just not for $12. The Caribbean and Asian flare wasn't really pulled off very well for me. It would've been nice if the cultures were better represented and fused in the food, but for me the food across the board leans more Asian inspired like maybe Thai. The food was fine just not what it claimed to be.
I went here for Galentine’s Day with my friends. It was lively. The bartenders/waiters were lovely and attentive. The Hangover Nachos were the star of the show! Everything else was just okay to me. I was disappointed that there weren’t any vegan brunch options on the menu. We should’ve been more diligent on checking before arriving but because the regular menu has vegan options we assumed brunch would as well. Overall, it was good. I’d return for dinner but maybe not brunch.
The menu is pretty extensive and I only ordered about three things but what I ate was deeply unsatisfying, unfortunately. The Ramen was bland, the tacos were tiny for the price, and the dumplings were super soggy. All the cocktails I had were amazing though, so maybe just come here for a drink. The service was amazing, all servers and bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful plus there was a great DJ. The vibes were perfect, good place for a drinks date.
This place is very special. I stoped here for late brunch and left with a very happy and satisfied stomach. The menu is very imaginative, traditional breakfast food fused in very curious ways that at the beginning sounded really odd but at the end made me feel glad that whomever is behind the menu tried the weird stuff because these oddities ended up making a lot of sense and opened my meal up to new flavors I had not thought about. I have never been here for dinner but I will definitely be back and with the best expectations. Service was really nice and accommodating and the place itself has a very fresh future-dinner type vibe. Check it out!
Food is decent if you don’t know what to expect. Oxtail dumplings had a kick but that’s from the extra ginger (I did not ask for extra ginger) and it didn’t really taste like oxtail. If you want real Caribbean food I wouldn’t recommend. Food was prepared in a pretty timely manner. The place is nice inside and the workers are friendly.
Dear Sally’s Management Team, On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m. ET, I had an unfortunate experience at your restaurant. I understand and respect that Sally’s operates on a first come, first serve basis. However, the lack of transparency from your operations team left much to be desired and resulted in a disappointing evening. Upon arrival, I requested a table for two and was greeted by a host who asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. Given the weather, we chose to sit indoors. The host informed us that an event was taking place in the left-back section of the restaurant and suggested we sit at the bar. Unfortunately, there were no available seats at the bar, so we decided to wait outside. While waiting, the host returned to ask again if we wanted to sit outside. We declined, as the outdoor area appeared unkept, dimly lit, and overall undesirable. Additionally, there were two parties already seated outside who appeared not to have received water or any service. A short while later, the host informed us that the entire restaurant was booked for a private event. This raised a question: was only a section reserved, or was the whole establishment closed for the event? The communication was unclear and inconsistent. What was most frustrating was the lack of notice. There was no signage on the door, nor any notice on your website, indicating that the restaurant was closed to the public for a private event. For a business that operates without reservations, it is essential to provide patrons with clear, advance communication when normal service is unavailable. This lack of transparency reflects poorly on the management and operations of Sally’s. A simple website notice, social media update, or door sign would have been sufficient to prevent the confusion and frustration experienced by guests that evening. Additionally, the fact that there appeared to be only two waitstaff on duty further suggested that public service was not the priority that night. Overall, this experience has unfortunately left a negative impression and has made me hesitant to return. I genuinely hope your management team takes this feedback to heart and improves communication and operational transparency. These are Restaurant 101 fundamentals that can greatly enhance guest satisfaction and trust. I wish Sally’s success moving forward and hope to see positive changes in how you communicate with your patrons. Kind Regards, Patron!
Stopped by for brunch at this cozy Caribbean spot. The vibe is great, with lively music setting a fun atmosphere. I ordered the jerk chicken hash, which had a mild kick, but I've had better jerk chicken elsewhere. Unfortunately, the service was very slow--it took quite a while to get anyone's attention for ordering or drink refills. The place was busy, but with only three or four servers managing the front, it felt understaffed. Overall, I probably wouldn't return.
Where I do begin? That’s the kind thought I had when nobody came to serve me. Although the service was nice, it did feel sometimes like they’d forgotten about me. The food itself could have saved the experience, but the shrimp friend rice was too dry - as their special that day, I expected more for a better price. However, the ramen was reasonably priced and reasonably tasty. It was pretty good! Not worth a higher overall rating, but good.
After seeing this place for months around the neighborhood I was excited to try it. Unfortunately it’s just somewhere I don’t want to come back. Service and food overall were poor; our server didn’t even know the contents of the menu and seemed annoyed when we asked for recs. Oxtail dumplings were decent and came out quick. Unfortunately the curried eggplant (bland) and dan dan noodles (imbalanced and way too spicy) took an hour to come out and weren’t worth finishing. Btw, they add an extra 20% gratuity to every bill. Seeing the food and service, I can see why. Hate to hate a place but it’s New York- spend your money elsewhere.
