The skirt steak was the best steak I’ve ever had. Seriously, so so good. The service was well paced and personable. The staff gives you enough space to not feel rushed or interrupted but ensures all of your needs are met. The ambiance is awesome too! They played house music and you can’t help but dance while enjoying your meal. I came to NYC looking for good food and THIS was the best restaurant I ate at. Alllll that and two entrees and dessert was $52. Seriously so good.
The grilled cheese is otherworldly, honestly anything on this menu is so good. And every server I’ve ever had here has been super nice/helpful/fun
This is a very beautiful place with a cozy atmosphere and instagrammable interior lol. Food is amazing! I ordered a smoked salmon toast, and OMG whoever decided to add to it coriander was a genius. Will definitely come back! Btw I came for Saturday brunch and place wasn't crowded.
Let me start by saying this restaurant has the all-time best lighting (thank you, skylights)! Okay, starting with the drinks. Delicious variety of cocktails at brunch. I'm always a fan of mimosas, and these are good ones (not too heavy on the OJ). (Side note: I don't drink coffee but my friends who do all said it was really good coffee.) The food is all so insanely good. I've been multiple times for brunch and my favorite thing is the egg sandwich. I honestly can't get anything else for brunch because I love it so much! Service is great, food preparation is surprisingly fast even when it's crowded. It can get busy on the weekends, but I highly recommend trying Sisters. YUM!
I LOVE this restaurant. We went here for my birthday dinner, and the staff was amazing. They were so patient with us on a busy Saturday night, and even brought a birthday treat! All of the cocktails and food were delicious… I have to go back for the salmon specifically. Thank you for a memorable time!
Beautiful venue that has the perfect amount of noise level. It’s intimate where you can hear the person talking to you but loud enough where you can hear the music. Food is really good. Comes out fast and hot. Service is was good. It was first time and everything she recommend was delicious.
Really liked the vibe here! Stopped in for brunch one day and really enjoyed it. The food was great. I just got a fresh squeezed oj (pretty small for the price) — next time, would probably try out a cocktail or other drink. Will consider Sisters if I’m in the area for any meal of the day!
Excellent location for a party! Lots of room in the back. Nice service, good atmosphere, a great DJ. Hope to be back!
I chose Sisters to go to for my birthday for the ambiance and decor but I couldn't imagine just how amazing it would be in person. It was the perfect choice because not only was the atmosphere inviting and relaxing but the food was delicious! I had the salmon and a Pink Orpheus cocktail and my boyfriend had a burger and fries with a 100 Hand Slap cocktail. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything and can't wait to return!
Everything was absolutely delicious. I came here with my cousin on Sat. 4/9 around 3pm. We both ordered the French toast( which was a 10/10) and two drinks ( a mule and Negroni) that were perfectly made. My cousin wasn’t a fan of the Negroni but she also isn’t a fan of strong drinks. I loved the vibe and aesthetic, will definitely be returning!
This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and it’s simply outstanding. The food is delicious, and it makes you want to come back again and again. The first time I had a burger, which was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. Today, I tried a salad, and it was simply unforgettable. Highly recommend!
As a sister to twelve sisters myself, my sister and myself were very disappointed to find there were no sisters working in this “sister” restaurant. My sister asked beforehand were there sisters working in the kitchen, preparing our food, to be told there were. We as sisters, soon found out there was no sisters in the kitchen, let alone the whole restaurant. Nevertheless food was every sisterly excellent so we may return in the future with our other sisters and their children’s step sisters.
Sisters is a reliably good restaurant - for brunch or lunch/dinner. If you’re not sure where to go tonight, if you have a friend in town, if you forgot to make a reservation somewhere else, go here. The ambience and the vibes are amazing, the charming bar is gorgeous & a beautiful place to sit and have your meal or just grab a well made cocktail. Food is super on point too, and they’ve got lots of vegetarian options. Mac and cheese & the fried chicken sandwich are a must for the meat lovers.
Stumbled upon this place when in Brooklyn and the food was amazing. Our best meal in NYC during our stay! Service was great and the place had a relaxed vibe. We had mac and cheese as an appetizer, my bf and I each got the skirt steak, then the key lime pie for dessert. So. Freaking. Delicious. The mac & cheese was so creamy and flavorful. Our entrees were so tender and everything on that dish complemented each other very well, even the greens! I was so into the steak and the greens before I realized I hadn’t even touched the mashed potatoes. I’m not even a fan of key lime pie but I still think about the pie. The cocktails were interesting but in a good way. I got something vivant (twice) lol—reasonably priced for the amount of drinks we got and 3 course meal. Cant wait to be back to eat here again!!
It’s very rare my bf & I are both IN LOVE with our dishes. We had a late dinner at 11pm & still got treated with the best service and food was extremely fresh and flavorful. We couldn’t stop eating. Refreshing cocktails too, all in all this is the perfect spot for a date night.
Went here for a drink before dinner. Ordered a drink called Mending the Primus that was bourbon, dry sherry, pineapple and chamomile. I didn’t really taste the pineapple or the chamomile. Drink was fine, quite dry, which is good, but nothing to write home about, and the pour was a little skimpy. Bartender recommended the Cool Leatherette and I liked it more. Boho chic interior both trendy and laid back, with amazing skylight. Feels very bay area. Kale salad looked good.
Came here for lunch with a friend and I loved the vibe. It gives the vibes of a casual lunch spot/ coffee house to chill at during the day and cute date spot evening. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was extremely filling and came with a yummy side of French fries. Mimosa was pretty standard and also enjoyed with the food. I would definitely return to other study during lunch with a coffee or to have a quick date/meet up with a friend. Great food overall and nice ambience
Amazing experience! The host was amazing with seating us as walk ins. We had an hour to dine before a private party arrived and it was more than enough time! I ordered the Cod Sandwich and it was amazing! I will definitely be dining here again(with reservation) soon! The staff is amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant and bar is very beautiful and cozy!
What can I say about my Bridal Shower event on 8.21.22. I just want to thank Lindsey, our bartender for her stellar treatment and accommodations of me and my guests for my Bridal Shower. Everything turned out fantastic. Food was delicious and the drinks were on point! I can’t thank you enough for helping to make my special day so very extra special. Appreciative and Grateful, Paola G.
Overall rating: 4.7 I’m a little torn by some of these low reviews. It’s hard to believe that this place would have bad service, given I’ve been coming here for years. Granted, I do usually just sit at the bar and only get one item: kale Caesar salad (which is sooo good) I love the set up, but also the quantity is just gigantic! I have gotten it through food delivery a few times and it’s not the same volume. So if you’re craving some salad, I’d recommend just going in. I have seen recently a lot of people working at the bar (working remotely), so it may be chiller going towards the afternoon. I recommend giving it a try. Also restaurant itself is so beautiful!
I don’t even know where to begin with how great this low key dining experience was. Everything from the decor to the service was great. The prices were just right and the food was delicious. I ordered the Kale Salad (to share) and the Ruben. The salad was delicious and I had to hold myself back from eating the entire thing. The Ruben was the perfect sandwich: crispy yet soft and packed with flavor. Just note that this sandwich paired with the delicious fries are very filling. To drink I had Catskill the Foeder, which was light and refreshing.
The food was AMAZING! We celebrated my Bestest Friend 60th Bday- the ENTIRE staff was so Friendly & accommodating. Everything from entering to leaving was Perfect!!!
This place is so lovely, came for my birthday on a quiet sunday evening, so we were seated pretty quickly and the bar was adroned with fall like decorations which felt really cozy and relaxed. Menu consists of very ‘light’ western focused dishes which came out quickly and tasted very fresh and delicious. Service was very kind and attentive. Drinks are also particularly great here and would recommend this place to anyone also interested in cocktails.
Sisters have an atmosphere that is so mind-blowing that you would never expect it. Once you enter, you're met with a warm and cool atmosphere with green forest and sea green on the walls. The waiters were so awesome and helpful from start to finish giving us recommendations and great service. The food was ordered and came out fresh without delay. I definitely recommend this spot. Great work !!!
Sisters was a delicious night out— all the food was awesome. We got the Mac’n’cheese, fried pickles, and Brussels sprouts for appetizers which were really flavorful and cooked perfectly. The kale salad was very fresh & had a hint of herbs which was refreshing. The drinks were well-balanced and creative. The energy in the restaurant is great & it wasn’t too loud. The seating is a little tight, so I was in danger of bumping the people next to us when I got up to walk to the restroom. Overall a definite must-try
Hidden gym for sure! So cute and delicious! Priced perfectly, my new favorite brunch spot! It’s a huge space and the servers are so nice. I didn’t even know this place existed. We got virgin micheladas and they were excellent! Their brunch menu has a wide variety of items, totally recommend coming here. Very kid friendly too.
When: Saturday at 11:30am Party Size: 2 Savory French Toast $17: 7/10 I'm not a sweets guy but this was a good plate. The sweet from the syrup and savory from the pulled port made for a perfect bite. Reuben Sandwich $17: 9/10 The bread makes this sandwich. Very crispy and strong and holds the sandwich in place. The pastrami was great. Leaden Cloak $14: 10/10 I've never had an alcohol/coffee drink but man was this delicious. Tequila and cold brew...mmm Service: 8/10 The wait was about a 10-15 minute wait to get a table. It's a popular brunch spot. Better chance of getting a seat at the bar to eat. Ambiance: 10/10 The sunroof brings in amazing light and feels nice and airy. High ceilings and a great brunch spot Overall: 9/10 Damn right I'd come back again.
I've been coming here for brunch since 2017, and I've never been let down. Their savory french toast is my favorite dish to order. I typically get a side of fries, which is enough for 2 - 3 people to share. More recently, I tried their egg sandwich, and that was incredible as well. You can easily tell that their food is made with high-quality ingredients. I love everything about the ambience: natural skylight, live plants, and the grand shelf behind the bar. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. It's usually full during brunch hours, so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Otherwise, you might be waiting for a while to be seated. Overall, I think this is one of the best brunch spots in Brooklyn.
Left another establishment in the dead of night on Vday, and was seated right away. Serve me and my date within 15 mins, drinks and all. Great service, and food was very decent. Had the Fried Chicken sandwich, and the skirt steak. Excellent.
Truly one of the cutest places in the city, feels like you’re dining in a gorgeous green house. The food was delicious, had the shrimp and grits which had a great Cajun flavor on the shrimp and was a very hearty portion between all the mushroom grits and kale. My friend had the scrambled egg burger and said it was standard. We shared the kale salad which was also incredible. I’m a big mocha fan and theirs was amazing! Can’t wait to go back, have heard great things of their dinner plates too.
While I brooklyn for business met with my sons for lunch and we found Sisters. Very near to the train station. Great small place , love the atmosphere. Even with reservations, we still have to wait, but the food made up for it.The natural drinks made up for it. We'll visit them again
Come for the atmosphere, stay for the food and drink. This place has such a great vibe. The bar has a gorgeous skylight that sets the tone for the whole place depending on the time of day (or night). The food was fresh and seasonal. We had a few shared plates including watermelon and feta, prawns, and sweet potato fries, all delicious. We also loved all the drinks we tried. Great spot to have a few drinks with friends in the afternoon or a nice date night.
"Lovely" best describes this place. Well lit, warm and welcoming. Food was good and affordable. Also, I didn't have to wait long for it. I do wish the portions were bigger but that's because I enjoyed the meal so much. I have to come back and try their brunch.
This was hands down the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had and I consider myself a connoisseur. It’s an alfredo style mac and cheese, very filling (and heavy on the dairy for my fellow lactose intolerant folks), and so good that I had to order for a second time. Their other food is awesome too, but the mac and cheese was a real showstopper. The salmon was excellent, really enjoyed the sauce over it and quite well cooked.
What a cute place for brunch! The space has a ton of natural light and the wood and greenery makes you feel warm and cozy! The food is absolutely delicious. Bravo on the menu as everything we tried it was so good. The mimosa’s are good as is the Bloody Mary. This is a great place for a couple or a small group. There is lots of seating but often busy so I’d suggest making a reservation.
Delicious fish sandwich, perfectly crisp sweet potato fries, and a great cauliflower starter—plus lots of dishes with labneh, which I loved. We walked in as a party of two on a Tuesday night and grabbed seats at the bar for dinner, which ended up being the perfect spot. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was warm and lively, and the whole place just had a great vibe. Worth noting: there are a few small steps up into the restaurant, but once you’re inside, it feels cozy and welcoming. Would definitely come back!
What a beautiful space and the food was delicious! We sat at the bar for brunch and had plenty of space. We got the savory French toast, the Mac and cheese, and the shrimp and grits, all of which were very good
This place was incredible! Came on a Saturday evening and even though the place was so busy Chance and Cesar were so incredibly welcoming and attentive. The fries (regular and sweet potato) were bomb and overall the vibe was immaculate! Can’t recommend coming here enough, especially if Chance and Cesar are working!
Came here for a birthday dinner Saturday night and I personally loved the vibes. The music was so good and the ambiance was enchanting (love the plants and lighting). As for the food the aranchini was phenomenal and my burger was flavorful. The drinks were strong. I think it was hard servicing a 12 person party but it was nice they accommodated us and the staff wasn't even annoyed. 5 stars. I would come back here again.

Loved this little spot in my daughters neighborhood. Bright and clean with lots of yummy options for everyone. I had the whitefish toast and it was sooooo good! Such a nice atmosphere at the tables or at the bar even if your just stopping in for a coffee or a drink.
Great overall experience. Food is expensive and servings are small. I went home to grab a snack… I loved the atmosphere and creativity to the menu. Food comes out quick!
Love the instagrammable aesthetic and tasty drinks. We went at around 10:30a on a Saturday and it was completely empty, but filled up quickly! Get there early if you want an immediate table. The breakfast sandwich (pictured) was tasty, particularly the sauce! My server was kinda eh, I was having trouble making a decision on what to order and he was kind of disengaged. But it wasn’t the worst thing in the world.
Nice & cozy restaurant. Went there for lunch. Great quality food! I ordered the veggie burger w avacado. It comes w a choice of fries or salad. I chose fries & they were delicious. Veggie burger is made from quinoa & lentils. Come with pickles lettuce & onions & melted fresh mozzarella. The bottom bun has mayonnaise it (for my vegans to keep in mind). The burger had good flavor but was a bit difficult to eat as a burger because it would break apart. Service was also great (I ate at the bar). Missed the 5 star mark due to prices. I feel like $16 for a veggie burger is a bit much. I still recommend the place as I really enjoyed the food.
Very clean. Hip place. Unexpected funky playlist that I loved. Rustic environment. Expect natural greens from plants, contrast to whites, blacks and wood structures. I ordered the kale Caesar chicken salad with a fried egg. Amazing and perfectly seasoned and dressed. Also ordered odds against tomorrow which was perfect for the fall season. Mood elevator. Finished dinner with an almond latte. Good experience. I’d come again.
The food is solid and the drinks are good! The spicy marg was great. The entire restaurant was smoky - they were having problems with their fans. BUT… despite this we wanted to stay and had multiple drinks. It’s a cute vibe (people kept taking photos of the bar area). I’d definitely go back!
I ordered an Americano with oatmilk and the tofu scramble. I enjoyed both but the tofu scramble was surprisingly very spicy. I can handle a little spice so I was ok with it but I wasn’t really wanting something spicy for breakfast and the menu didn’t mention that it was spicy at all. It tasted like the cook put too much chili powder in it. Overall, three place is beautiful and that’s the main selling factor of Sisters. If you’re only concerned about the food, and don’t care too much about the atmosphere, maybe look elsewhere. I’m only speaking for their brunch since I don’t know what their dinner and lunch menu is like.
Visited on a monday for brunch with some friends. We ordered the Tofu Scramble & Fried Fish Sandwich with a side of fries. I took a bite of the sandwich and it was delicious! The fries were tasty as well. However, the tofu scramble could use more seasoning - the flavor was lacking for me. We enjoyed the ambiance and decoration of the place - very warm & spacious.
Such a gorgeous space. If you're looking for a relaxed and picturesque dining experience then Sisters is the place. The natural skylight, modern rustic decor & greenery makes for a cute brunch date. The food was equally pretty with all the vibrant colors. Not only did the food look appetizing but everything was fresh & tasty. What we ordered: Kale Salad - 4/5 - It's a very wet salad but good, the crunchy topping added a nice texture. Fried Chicken Sandwich 4/5 - Fried well, not greasy & the acidity from the picked slaw is niceeee. It also comes with well seasoned fries! Smoked Salmon 3/5 - My friend found it to be tasty but felt like it was missing something. She was tempted to add bacon. Lol The Grove - 4/5 a great mock-tail refreshing & not too sweet The Mule - a mock-tail, my friend said it was delish The only downside to the experience is the table arrangements and the limited dining time. It seems like it's a new hot spot so they're trying to get you in and out quickly so they can honor reservations. I was brought the check twice. The tables are so tightly arranged in the main dining area that each time someone was seated or left out, an item was shifted on my table or I had to dodge a coat. One person actually almost fell trying to slide into their seat. Overall a cute vibe & good food. I'd go back for sure.
Getting out of an appointment 90 minutes earlier than expecting while in the relatively unfamiliar to me Brooklyn neighborhood of Clinton Hill, I did a little research to find a nice, hopefully unique(-looking?) place to have lunch. Appearing third on my Google search list of “restaurants near me” was a place within a five-minute walk called Sisters whose search images made the place look promising for both food and vibe. Sisters proved even more impressive upon arrival and patronage, as the space feels deceptively more airy and open than it’s square area would otherwise suggest, and a plain cheddar cheeseburger proved more than “simple,” with its use farm fresh, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef, a light yet sturdy toasted brioche bun, and an only lightly pickled cucumber, allowing the sweet earthiness of cucumber add a rustic layer to each bite, while toning back the acidity that can (and does elsewhere) overpower the flavors of a nicely grilled medium burger whose taste is richly served by the rendered fat that too much vinegar can completely negate if not overwhelm. I don’t get to Clinton Hill—or much of Brooklyn—often, but am sure if I find myself in the neighborhood again, I would beeline back to Sisters to further enjoy their menu, great service, decor, and overall vibe.
I went there, after i'm going to the Brooklyn museum, and uh, it was fine. The food who wasn't that memorable. I got the fried chicken sandwich, and it didn't really have that much flavor. I was a little disappointed. The same goes with the fries. The place is cute, but for me, that's about it. I would go somewhere else in Brooklyn.
Went here with friends for brunch. The restaurant is very well lit and the decor is beautiful. Crowded at the time we went but didn’t feel stuffy. The French toast was good I just didn’t like the overdone crust which is standard. But the server was friendly and the vibes were good. Would definitely come back.
Been to this place for years this is my first review. During the day it’s very chill cool work vibes no hard alcohol but have brunch drinks though! Great food selection a little limited with vegetarian options but they have good selection. Music is great service super chill! My sister had a fish sandwich I got the Brussels! The frozen drink with the pistachios actually very delicious!! The menu changes around 4 or 5 and at night some nights a killer dance party! The decor of this space is always ideal love the sunlight and plants it’s amazing!
Service is good. They had available seating as soon as we walked in. We were seated and brought our tables very quickly. There was complementary water that was brought to our table as soon as we sat. Our waiter had dietary restrictions so they couldn’t let us know about a few dishes on the menu, as they have never personally tried them. We decided to go with the steak and the salmon as our main dishes and they were reasonably priced. We were actually pretty shocked at how good the food was. The food came in on time had nothing to complain about. The chocolate mousse dessert was also really solid. Would be happy to come back !
First time dining here last night and the food and drinks were great. Food definitely took a while to get to us and when we asked about our appetizers the waiter who already had a bad attitude said “ we dont have the biggest kitchen in the world” and even caught the waiter talking about us to the hostess. Extremely unprofessional..

We were greeted and seated immediately as we had reservations. The food wasn’t anything amazing but it wasn’t terrible either. The sandwiches don’t come with any greens or any side for that matter.…
Sisters welcomes guests with a beautiful rustic setting, adorned with abundant greens and wooden accents. The bar itself is a marvel, featuring what appears to be a custom-built wall shelving unit made entirely of wood. Admittedly, upon our initial entrance, it took a moment before we caught the staff's attention. The person who guided us to our table seemed a bit uninviting, but once settled, the service proved satisfactory. Our table ordered an array of appetizers to start that actually ended up coming after our entrees. The highlights were undoubtedly the perfectly charred sweet potato fries, complemented by what seemed to be a chipotle aioli. The fried pickles achieved the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and sour, while the Brussels sprouts, drenched in balsamic vinegar, allowed for a caramelization within their own acidity. The addition of sesame seeds brought a delightful umami touch. Our only minor qualm was wishing for a bit more crispiness in them. On the flip side, the cauliflower, cooked as expected, saw an elevation only when paired with a flavorful crema. Now, when it comes to the regular fries, the contrast with their sweet potato counterparts was stark. Unfortunately, they proved underwhelming, lacking both seasoning and crispiness. Transitioning to the main courses, the undeniable star was the skirt steak topped with a house-made chimichurri. The steak, impressively juicy and perfectly cooked, paired seamlessly with the best chimichurri I've had in a while. Unanimously, everyone at the table deemed it the standout dish of the night. Accompanying the steak were mashed potatoes, slightly on the grainier side but far from the usual blandness associated with this classic side. Meanwhile, my partner opted for the salmon, praising its perfect cooking and the harmonious balance achieved with every element on the plate. On the other hand, our companion's chicken sandwich left a bit to be desired – disappointingly dry and lacking the expected kick of flavor. Sisters delivered a dining experience with its share of ups and downs. While some aspects, such as the ambiance with its rustic charm, left a positive impression, others, like certain menu items not meeting expectations, brought the overall rating to a three out of five stars. Intrigued by the potential, I've heard they also offer brunch, and I'm open to giving them another shot to explore different aspects of their menu.
Food was okish for the price, but service was poor. The food runner had an attitude when we asked for forks and a mistake on a dish to be fixed and the server didn’t know what they were talking about. It wasn’t a bad experience per se but not one I would return to.
I really liked the ambience and contemporary vibe of the restaurant, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the food. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, which turned out to be more like a lox sandwich - raw, overly salty, and quite bland, I've had better at the bagel shop. The drink also didn’t match the overall vibe. In the end, the experience felt overpriced for what was served.
This was my first time at Sisters and we decided to sit at the outside covered area....well I don't know how the service is on the inside, but outside we definitely were forgotten. We placed our order and got our food and the waitress disappeared....never came back at all to check on us or bring our bill, nothing....finally someone else stepped in. They must've heard us saying I guess someone paid our bill since we haven't had any contact with a staff member since. We got the fried fish sandwich which was very bland even with the shaved carrots and cucumbers on it. The fish is very fresh tasting (which is not a bad thing) but its just fried with absolutely no flavor/seasoning and the tartar sauce was different and didn't taste like your usual tartar sauce. Got the sweet potato fries with it and that was the BEST along with the sriracha aioli for dipping....Delicious! We got the wings just fried plain with nothing else added. I heard the brunch here was pretty good, so maybe one day I will come back and try but no time soon.
Food: I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was very dry. My friend got one too and it was also very dry, so they're probably just not good at making them. The tofu scramble was good, and the french fries were also really delicious. I would eat here again, though I wouldn't get the fried chicken sandwich. Service/ atmosphere: everyone was really nice, the food came out quickly once I ordered, though it took an hour to get a table as a Sunday morning walk-in. So make a resy.
I came here for an early (11 am) brunch. It’s one of the few places open this early for brunch, so that’s a plus. The inside is very bright and airy; it’s always like taking a breath of fresh air when you walk in! The servers are also really great. I wanted to order the frozen drink they had (I think it was a greyhound?) but the machine hadn’t gotten to the point where the drink was frozen, which was a bummer. So I ordered a Mezcal Negroni instead, and it was good. For my meal, I ordered the shrimp and grits, but they were more watery than I would have preferred; they should’ve been more solid. My friend called them “hipster grits” and I think that’s the perfect way to sum them up! I was still hungry so I ordered fries. They were thick cut (I prefer my fries thinner and crispier). My friend ordered the Savory French Toast and that was very good. Prices here are reasonable. I would return but would avoid those grits!
I've been here three times now for different reasons and I'm never impressed. The first time I went was for dinner and I ordered a burger and it was good, but nothing outstanding. The second time I…
I totally forgot how bad the food is here when I made a reservation earlier today. The chicken sandwich was as so overdone and weirdly hard. Flavor was absent and the bun was stale. It came out in less than 5 minutes after I ordered so I’m guessing it wasn’t exactly cooked to order. Avoid at all costs.
It might have been because I came for lunch but the portions were small, my food was soggy and overall did not have much flavor. I have been to a lot of New American restaurants but this was an unsatisfactory meal. The service was fine, I think I had a waiter on his first day so he was a bit nervous. The environment of the restaurant is beautiful though! I won’t be coming back but it was a beautiful environment.
When we got there, we noticed our seat was “outside” even with heating lamps, it wasn’t the best climate. When we asked to sit inside we were told it would be a two-hour wait, so had to sit at the bar. Not okay, considering we made reservations prior to arriving. No accommodation was made. The standout star of our meal were the wings, everything else was “okay”. The bartender was speaking so highly of the fish sandwich, but couldn’t tell me much other than what was already written in the menu. I may go back, I may not. I just wasn’t impressed. The drink was delicious, so I may return for a drink.
This place is Karen’s diner unironically. They’re so rude it’s actually funny. Food is good but a place for people who voted for cuomo in 2025. A manhattan vibe forcing itself upon a Brooklyn neighborhood.
No still water, no sweet potato fries. veggie burger no good; a mesh of sprouts held together with glue(?) The Bloody Mary was more of supersaturated salted tomato paste mixed with water.
At the restaurant now. Found a very long piece of hair entangled in my kale caesar salad. I informed the waiter and he told me it was impossible for it to be from them because they only have bald M…

Food was great and the bar design was beautiful inside. Sadly the only thing worse than the "music" which sounded like the slow death of a 70s synthesizer was the bar service. Over our stack of empty plates and glasses had to basically beg the "bartender" for a second drink. #disappointing
