Went for a lunch hang out and I loved it. I can’t wait to go back. Service was attentive but also we didn’t feel rushed. I got Brooklyn sushi combo and it was delicious cuts. I can’t wait to go back
I really enjoyed the food here! The chicken katsu is super delicious. If you order the sauce on the side, it stays more crunchy and tastes even better. Highly recommend!
ㅣ✨ Slow Loris Restaurant ✨ Truly felt the soul of Korean comfort food here—what an unforgettable experience. From the manager’s thoughtful hospitality to the kitchen team’s attention to detail, I was honestly blown away. If you’re in New York, or planning a trip, this spot is an absolute must. Flavors, vibes, and service—everything came together for a perfect night. 💖
Really cute restaurant with very yummy food! I had the Hawaiian roll today which was delicious but would recommend literally everything on the menu. Reasonably priced food with amazing quality and portions. Wide variety of beer, soju and sake as well, all good brands. Great service and vibe as well! Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone
I'm usually very skeptical of restaurants with different cuisines like what are they actually good at. Sushi from a Korean restaurant? I am happy to report that they do both well! A friend and I shared sushi and a Korean entree that was glass sweet potato noodles with veggies and chicken (Japche I think?). Both were tasty. We came on a weekday lunch and got the sushi lunch special which was such a good deal. Chose the salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon, and eel avocado and would pick them all again. Also had a soothing lemon ginger tea. No wait and great service during our weekday lunch.
I usually order takeout from this establishment; however, yesterday's pleasant weather prompted a change of plans. The restaurant, while compact, offers comfortable dining and bar seating. The menu is extensive, featuring a diverse selection of dishes, including sushi and soups. I enjoyed my dining experience and will certainly return.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Passed it so many times and never noticed it. Eventually found through google. The restaurant has great atmosphere and attentive service. All food that we ordered was really really delicious and the portions are really generous. We can’t wait to come back.
I am not usually one to leave a review but this place deserves recognition. I have been here a few times and it never disappoints. My sister and I enjoyed dinner tonight and it was our best dining experience while she has been in town visiting. The food is phenomenal and it’s some of the best service in the city. Such a gem in the neighborhood!
YUMMY! YUMMY!! I haven’t had sushi since overseas and their sushi was so scrumptious! I had their wings plain so I can try all their sauces. I recommend trying every sauce for the wings. They were all so delicious! Pao Buns were a must have as an appetizer too. I recommend going with a group of people and trying as much as possible because everything tasted so scrumptious!
Slowloris is a small relaxing cozy restaurant with a nice vibe to it. Located in Flatbush I think this is an amazing spot to grab lunch or diner after going through prospect park or to the zoo or the botanical garden. I placed my order 3 apatizers and after receiving them I wanted to order 3 main dishes the waitress told us that it would be a lot of food something we really appreciated and instead just ordered 2. Apart from great service the food was amazing everything was fresh and cooked by 2 chefs at the front of the store open for everyone to see. Amazing food service and environment.
I’ve never actually eaten inside Slow Loris, but it’s become one of my most reliable spots in Flatbush for takeout and delivery. What I like the most about this Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant is that you can order something different every time and still be happy with what shows up. Consistency is the key word here. Over multiple orders, I’ve tried a wide range of dishes: Cream Cheese Roll, Japanese Ramen, Korean Ramen, J-Bao, Kani Salad, Bi Bim Bap, Shrimp and Potato, Bulgogi Fried Rice, and Chicken Katsu. Some are stronger than others, but nothing’s been disappointing. The Bulgogi Fried Rice is my go-to—it’s hearty, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. The beef has that perfect sweet-savory balance, and the seasoning runs through every bite. The J-Bao are dangerously easy to demolish: soft, fluffy buns with rich, flavorful fillings. The Chicken Katsu travels surprisingly well, staying crispy even after delivery, which is no small feat. When I’m in the mood for sushi without overthinking it, the Cream Cheese Roll always hits the spot, and the Kani Salad makes a nice, refreshing side. Both ramens are comforting and flavorful, though like most takeout ramen, they can’t quite match the dine-in version—heat and texture are just tough to preserve in transit. Delivery can take a while, especially on busy nights—I’ve waited around 45 minutes at times—but the food quality makes up for it. The menu is huge, which is great if you like variety but tough if you’re indecisive. Still, it’s impressive how consistently good everything tastes, even after travel. Slow Loris is one of those neighborhood spots that quietly gets everything right. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the fusion of Japanese and Korean dishes feels natural rather than forced. It’s comfort food done well, perfect for a cozy night in. Order ahead if you’re getting delivery, try the J-Bao, and definitely don’t skip the Bulgogi Fried Rice and Bi Bim Bap.
Slowloris offers great service, but the food is a hit or miss. The K-Ramen is exactly what you’d expect based on the description (instant ramen with more toppings) and the kbao was disappointing—thin pork belly with little flavor and too much mayo for $11. However, the beef kalbi was excellent with tender, well-marinated meat, and the bulgogi kimbap was packed with filling. The calamari bokum over rice was also decent with plenty of seafood. Overall some dishes were better than others.
If you’re looking for Ramen on a rainy day this winter look no further! I love coming here when I’m looking for a quick hefty pick me up. The Karage Chicken is always a must paired with a hot Sake. The Miso Ramen is a great dish for those who do not like pork broth soups. It comes with a spicy chili paste that is the right amount of quick to the dish. Great for groups, catching up with a friend or dining solo. The staff are always friendly!
We ordered some noodles that were fine. The seafood pancake was a little bland (but easily fixed by dipping in the accompanying dipping sauce), but the issue was that the pieces of seafood were huge, which made it a bit hard to manipulate the slices, and you would end up with crumbs. The Beef Galbi was really good and was my favorite item from the dinner, highly recommended. Some friends have mentioned that they had had long wait times for their food while eating here, although this wasn't my experience. The food came promptly, although we ordered at around 9 PM, after “rush hour.”
I’ve been to Slow Loris a few times before writing this review, and overall, I’d give it three stars. The food is decent but uneven. The bibimbap is pretty good, fresh and well-balanced, but nothing exceptional. The miso soup, however, is horrible. It always tastes metallic, like metal leached into it, and is quite diluted, lacking the depth and richness you’d expect. It could be over-boiled or the result of bad/toxic cookware. Flavors overall are average; not bad, but not amazing either. Another issue is the wait time. Service is friendly but consistently slow, and both seating and food take longer than they should. Maybe that’s part of the branding with “Slow” in their name, after all. Slow Loris has a few strong dishes but needs improvement in both execution and service to reach its full potential.
Did I expect to walk in and be greeted by the sounds of Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, and Richard Marx? Nope. But it was well received and totally set the vibe for me as I browsed the menu. With a bottle of soju, I ordered the crispy hone chicken wings and the japche with beef. The wings were solid (yes, you can mess up a chicken wing). I really enjoyed the pickled radish that came with it. The japche also proved to be quite enjoyable, the beef quite flavorful. Because of the portions, I wound up taking a few wings + a solid amount of japche home. The server was a bit too attentive but, all in all, this was one of the better dining experiences I've had in the area in some time. I also love how close it is to Record City on Fenmore.
Ordered delivery and decided to go with the new menu item Bul Go Gi fried rice. It took a while for us to get our good so I thought that's good made to order. Once it arrived it look horrible. Immediately I thought of day old reheated beef and rice. That was all that was in the dish. Old fried rice and beef with an egg on top. No carrots, scallions, peppers, chicken, shrimp or sesame as the description states. We tried to power through eating it but after reheating again it was inedible. Customers who order delivery and take out trust that they will get quality food that they pay for upfront. We have eaten from here at the restaurant in the past once but unfortunately this experience was so bad we will not order from here again.
We came here for a Sunday dinner with our 2 kids, they talked like most kids, of course at times they got too excited and might be little louder but definitely not at screaming level. Then there's the waitress came over and told us to keep our kids quieter. We immediately told our kids to be quiet thinking maybe this was an extremely quiet restaurant. Then there were more people coming making really loud nice, like really loud that made my head turned. Husband and I were upset because the same waitress DID NOT say anything to other tables. We turned out to be the quietest customer in the restaurant, with us totally turned off for a Sunday night. So this would be our first and last time to the restaurant. Not recommending this restaurant for familes.
I’ve given this place two chances now, and unfortunately I won’t be ordering again. Both times, the wait was excessive and our most recent order took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant is only 5 minutes from our apartment. I could overlook the delay if the food was worth it, but sadly it isn’t. The jjajang had a grainy texture instead of the smooth, savory sauce you’d expect, and the shrimp tempura wasn’t really tempura at all, it was just hard fried shrimp under the name of tempura. While the location is convenient, the combination of long wait times and disappointing food just doesn’t justify the price. PS. By the time the food finally arrived, I was so hungry I didn’t even think to take pictures.
