The food is excellent. We ate here 2 days in a row. Tried a couple of the other restaurants close by. This diner is the best.

You feel like family when you’re here! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Such amazing staff makes for a positive experience. Highly recommended!

This place regularly serves up delicious comfort/diner food. Place is cozy and nostalgic in all the right ways, something this city is sorely beginning to lack. Service is lovely and cordial. Coming here reminds me of what is good about the city and it is NOT these hot shot fools moving here bringing played out food with no grit and no color. We don’t need tourist traps. We need $10 Eggs Benedict that is better than any bougie plate of the same fare. Truth.

This place is worth the trip from Manhattan. I work out here on Friday's. I'm a surgical nurse .I will be coming frequently when the weather gets warm. The is something so beautiful about this place. This is a neighborhood place. No fancy frills. You go here if you want conversation w/neighbors or strangers. You are immediately greeted with a friendly hello. This is a place to go for a neighborhood hug!

A nice small place for Breastfast & Lunch; however, the prices hve incresed quiet a bit in the last couple of years. Friendly service, good coffee.

food is good but the service is very slow unless u r a regular. always serve their regulars first even if u came in before them. still waiting on our waters...three meals over 20 mins. usually has one older server who moves slowly and is forgetful bless her soul.

When my partner & I arrive for pick up, an older, grey-haired woman is behind the counter who I'm assuming is the owner as she decides to tell me that the prices aren't what they are on DoorDash because of inflation (understandable), and along the lines of "app customers are entitled" & that its frustrating for them to have to call DoorDash about the outdated prices on the app ("why aren't you calling them to fix your prices?" should have been my next question, but she was already irritated). Bad taste in my mouth aside, I kept trying them through the app & they still won't update their prices. It's a local joint, so I'm used to the regular attitude the staff has but to cause a problem like this on an app & throw it on me, the customer, as the cause of the problem? Yeah, not returning until they fix the prices AND the attitude.

Menu prices are not the prices charged. That's not right. Customers should be made aware before they place an order of the current price of the item. Ordered a sandwich menu price $8.95 and on bill was charged $14.99. When inquired, was menu stars "prices are subject to change" which I stated a customer is to be made aware of the price increase and agrees before the order is placed.

It breaks my heart to give two stars to this joint, I can stand the efficient but rude service by the waitress, the fact that is cash only in 2019 and other minor points to improve. But when they made me wait 35 min for a steak and eggs, and when the order came it was wrong ( no fries!!) Plus the steak was very rubber like. The thing is I will give it another shot but I will do it with the last experience in mind...

Came in and wanted to sit at the table and waitress told me to sit at the smaller table. Meanwhile there were 2 other larger tables with one person sitting in each of the other larger tables. I’m guessing they were regulars and I’m not but everyone should be treated the same. Also your charged more than the prices listed in the menu which is probably why I didn’t get a receipt. I came in their a few months ago and she said new menues are being made. Months later the prices are still not updated. I also agree with the other comments about the waitress being rude.

👎💵👎💵👎💵 Left very unhappy. I reviewed/audited the bill. I went with my two boys and we ordered two egg omelets and one sandwich, no drinks, just cold water. Clearly on the menu I ordered a $6.50 Mexican omelette, $8.50 Vegetable omelette and an $8.75 Monte Carlo Sandwich. Which should be $23.75 in total. Instead, I was charged $10, $11.25, & 11.50 for a total of $32.75.... A whopping $9 MORE!!! (NO credit card surcharge, nothing else ordered) I even tipped 18% to be nice. I did not want to make a scene and challenge the bill, I did not want my boys to be embarrassed. Recalculating everything later in my car, I ended up tipping her more!!! Almost 28% based on her mistake, instead of what should have been her real tip. In total, over $11.00 overcharge including tip. I usually do step up to the plate and challenge or complain when there are overcharges or it seems unreasonable but I wanted my boys have a good time at this Diner and I want them to have a pleasant experience so I sacrificed a little bit of the money for their sanity & my sanity, but I will say this, unfortunately, for this restaurant, I will not recommend it. They did something very bad, they could get in touch with me and try to make up for it, in which case I can rewrite the review but I'm not really sure how the owner will handle this. The the food itself was adequate and the service was adequate, but being overcharged is unacceptable and I would like the owner to respond to my email address and see what can be done to rectify this. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe it was non-malicious, maybe the waitress was confused, but the prices charged was not the prices on the menu. As a customer, I usually go to the Bridgeview Diner but I wanted to try something different, I guess you get what you paid for. Let's see if the owner steps up to the plate and trys to make it right. I'm willing to give this place one second chance if they reach out to me. July 16, 2022

Omelette was cooked until rock hard. Bagels were stale. The lady talking orders was incredibly rude and appeared to be on drugs (sleeping on the counter and slurring words). She also changed the prices arbitrarily when giving the bill, essentially tried to double my bill. I didn't pay it because that's a scam and a half. Don't go here. Not sure how they are allowed to stay in business.

Old school place. Nothing special; the French fries were oily and it took a long time to get a cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. Table we sat at was super small. Prices are cheap for Brooklyn. Service is fair at best. The girl that was there was super loud and on her cell the whole time and even had to put it down to take our order. Never came over and asked if we wanted more water or anything. A black guy came in asking for a pack of salt and next thing you know a screaming and cursing fight started. Pretty much every word was used that you could think of. Won't be coming back.

This place must be an old Brooklyn staple but there's no way I would ever eat there again. The service was terrible for an empty diner. Food service took over 20 minutes and there were no other patrons. I ordered a simple for sure meal(cheeseburger deluxe) and it was a No way... Hard pass on this place

Horrible experience. The lady man ager here is so rude I and is not what you would think a manager would be. They are impulsive and do not know how to fully articulate themselves in a conversation. They are aggressive and simply bring a negative vibe to people who are essentially funding this place. Yuck

Awful food. Got a salad that had undercooked chicken and the owner's daughter started yelling at me when I brought this to her attention. And my neighbor had similar experience when ordering food from there. Had his order messed up and he politely wanted them to fix the problem with his cold soup and yet again. Same old story-the owners daughter out of the blue started yelling at him.

The lady that works the counter here is absolutely disgusting. She is a racist and really just miserable. She is willing to demolish her standing in tenge community in leu of having a bad day. I will never give this dump business in my entire life. Please someone get this lady out of there. Bay ridge is such a lovely place without people like this to bring reviews down :)

The owner was extremely rude. The workers were amazing. The owner really was rude and unprofessional. I hate giving bad reviews but the way I was treated and looked at when I walked in the door the first time was not an experience I would want to ever have again. I understand some people might have their days so I decided to give it another visit and same experience. I wouldn’t recommend this diner.

With the excuses of the "price may be different from what you see on the menu" written with a pen on the front page of it ,one of the waitress(the loudest one in there)took advantage of me twice. The first time I thought it was a mistake but the second she charged me more than twice of the price on the menu.I have asked why and she came up with a ridicule excuse. I'm pretty sure that the extra money goes straight down her pocket. It is a shame cause the place is lovely and the other two ladies I have seen working there are nice and polite.I am trying to support small business but if this the way I get treated then I'm done. Shame on you arrogant,loud and unpleasant worker.

Extremely Rude Waiter, stepped inside this establishment to order lunch and went to the bar checked over the menu. Decided I’ll wash my hands before I eat and proceeded to the restroom. The waiter told me the restroom is for customers only. I was puzzled because she was just wiping down tables and I just wanted to wash my hands before I ate. So I asked her will she come to the bar and wash my hands for me. Didn’t get the reason for her talking to me when I got assistance at the bar but I felt disrespected.

If you visit in the morning you can get normal service. But if you visit afternoon you will have this lady that everyone complains on in other reviews. Waiter was extremely rude to my mother in law and her daughter. It's a "decent" diner if you literally got nowhere else to go but clearly depending on who serves you, its a hit or miss. I would've wanted to talk to someone to resolve the issue before they left and i asked them to go back but they got so uncomfortable they just wanted to leave. Don't understand why you'd have certain people working for you if they cant leave personal preferences or issues at home, "at home" and not your place of work. I know the business of customer service can be rough, but the two that just left your restaurant were two of the sweetest souls you can come across in this day and age...all you had to do was be open minded and give them a fair chance. You shouldn't be passing judgment based on appearances or possibly even race and then just deciding to have them sit in the middle of your establishment while you treat them like dirt, but everyone else around them like gold. The last comment your waiter threw at them was enough for me to submit this review. The waiter should really humble himself if he somehow thinks that a $90 bill is somehow "high?" ... especially if he thinks that based on appearances the two women that were just there are probably incapable of paying... Take some consideration in how your staff treats EVERYBODY. Not just your regulars. Goodluck.
