The place is a hidden gem . I’m very particular about my pizza and I have to say it is by far one of the best Margarita’s in NYC! The sauce is amazingly fresh and the crust is crisp and thin . Not too heavy and very affordable!

the pizza is delicious and the staff treats the neighborhood like family. enjoy them hot or at room temperature. tastes like the best ingredients are used and the crust is always crispy. dont forget to grab the perfect slice when you get off the R on 92nd

I love the plain slices they are delicious and need nothing else. Crust is the perfect thickness. You know it’s good pizza when it tastes good days later.

This is hands down the best pizza dare i say in Brooklyn! Yes I said it !!! Tony has been feeding me and my family for over 20yrs the pizza is PIZZA old school pizza nothing more nothing less it's actually pizza ! I now live in bensonhurst and travel for his pizza ! Keep it up Tony

I'm a nurse from Ohio who just started working at the VA for a travel assignment. My 5 week old daughter is in MA with my wife and other family members. On the way home I thought I'd get some pizza to help cheer me up because I'm missing my wife and daughter already (it's going to be a long travel assignment). I don't know the name of the older gentlemen with glasses who put my two slices of pizza in the oven and then proceeded to give them to me for FREE, but it was much appreciated guesture for this lonely nurse. Thank you sir, thank you very much.

Offers one of the best New York style thin regular slice in Bay Ridge, as simple as that. The sauce, the crust, and the taste are just unbelievable.

Probably the best pizza I have ever tasted in a long time and reminded me of what an old school Brooklyn pizza always tasted like. Would definitely recommend.

One of Bay Ridge's best pizzerias. A prime example of the old axiom that an eatery which keeps a shorter menu does all of its offerings well, as opposed to having a long menu with just average results. Dont expect a long list of exotic specialty pizzas, just the basics. And dont expect fancy decor. This is a classic Brooklyn pizzeria...simple, clean...not fancy. The owner, Tony, is a neighborhood treasure, he's always friendly and willing to shoot the breeze, if ur a regular he knows u by name, what u do for work, and what's going on in ur life. Ask to see his historic Bay Ridge street map, which shows the original street names before the boring number system was instituted.

Low Key pizza place but great taste. The quality is consistantly good. I have never seen more than 2-3 pizza on the display which means that they are fresh. Must try this place.

If you've ever wondered what a true bare bones Brooklyn pizza joint looked like, Espresso Pizzeria is the place (Formerly Gabriella Pizza on 92nd and Fort Hamilton parkway). This guy has been making pizza for over 30 years and has kept up with the franchises that have made their way into the neighborhood. I grew up on this pizza and it's the only place we ever ordered from. There is no website, no Twitter, and no Facebook filler stuff here because he doesn't focus on marketing or social media because evidently the pizza speaks for itself. You're not getting grandma slices and buffalo chicken pizza at a place like this. Espresso solely focuses on serving NY style pizza that is true and traditional from its crust to its core.

So many NYers have their favorite places to get a slice. Few take the time, attention to the details, and insistence on high-end ingredients to ensure a perfect slice time after time. Tony is one such artisan of pizza. Never compromising on the closely guarded secret ingredients he uses (including blends of high-end cheeses) to craft bite after delicious bite of this NY staple. A well kept secret, even within BayRidge, the locals who know, KNOW. Artistry, integrity, and a sense of investment with each pie he creates. Expresso beats many of the more "famous" or "best" pizza slices in the city.

There is not better pizza that Tony’s!!!! I will eat his food everyday but he know i am on diet (as every women at summer) the chicken parmesan is great and his lentil soup is a bomb!

crispy. I love to eat the crispy part of pizza but lots of places don't know how to make it easy to chew. However the pizza this place serves is not dried out and it is tasty.

Only thing I'd add to the menu? Pinwheels, maybe. Sometimes I have to walk on the other side of the street to avoid being tempted to grab a slice. Staff is friendly, great to chat with, & we often run into them on our morning walks. Prices are great. Great spot to stop in, especially on a nice day when they pop the windows out.

My favorite place for Pizza in all of Bay Ridge! The vibes are 12/10, the decor has barely changed since they opened and it adds so much to the experience. The margarita pie is exceptionally good, you have to try it. Im not one to eat the crust, almost ever, but theirs is perfect. Plus, they have such cheap prices (3.25-3.50 for a slice?!). Also, bonus: COVID-conscious folks, this spot is perfect for grab and go, and even has a window outside you can order and eat from!

I go to this Expresso pizzeria one of dozens of great pizzerias in Brooklyn and it's like going back 30 years, I got a plain, a margarita and a Sicilian and a drink for less than $12. Everything is amazing!, I'm pulling cheese forever, this is NY pizza, not that garbage they're selling the tourist in Manhattan (yes there's very expensive $$$ great pizza in Manhattan).

Their margherita pizza is so fire! Thin crust is crispy with that perfect chew, delicious sauce, fresh mozzarella and proportioned amount of basil. The best pizza I’ve tried in Bay Ridge.

Margherita Pizza was phenomenal. Not too oily, not too salty, different ingredients were perfectly spaced on the thin crust that enhanced the overall texture. Incredible slice.

Been going there for 17 years even after I moved out of NY 16 years ago. Always stop in when I visit family and friends twice a year. . Tony is a treasure. His food is wonderful and always have a football match on the TV. This is the only place I eat eggplant parm from. I order two, one to eat there and one for the road.

I ordered a large cheese pie yesterday evening. When my family saw the pie it looked bad,not even fresh.

Tasty pizza but i didn't like the fact that the older gentleman at the counter told me there's only ONE slice left. (I wanted 2) mind you, its only 6:30pm... instead why not just give me what i want if i agreed to wait 5 minutes (or whatever) until the next pie was made??? So strange.

I have no clue who is giving this place 5 stars. It's not bad but its miles and miles and galaxies away from ninos and vesuvios and pretty much every other pizza place in the neighborhood. I think it gets good rating because it's close to the army base and to be honest, alot of these people aren't from NY and I'm sorry but they dont know what they are missing. Want a hidden gem of a pizza spot? Go down the road to Philadelphia grill. Classic oldschool Brooklyn style pizza.

First pizzeria I tried in BR and I wasn't impressed. So so chicken culet hero as I've had better and less expensive. It seemed their pizzas are more popular but I will move on to the others nearby regardless, because the older guy at the counter said it's ok to use cc but didn't tell me he'd add an add'l 4% for using one.
