Opinions de Woori Brooklyn
Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Food was very good. Great service. Restaurant was exceptionally clean, bathroom, menu, and surfaces. $25-30 for an entree was a little shocking at first but the portion was good and it came with banchan (Korean appetizers/small plates) rice, and miso soup. 2 people split 1 entree and a kimbap and it was the perfect amount of food for $20-30 per person.
I recently dined here together with my wife and kids, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was incredibly flavorful, showcasing the perfect balance of spices and traditional ingredients. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, the restaurant offered a wonderful culinary journey into Korean cuisine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new and delicious.
Simple and uncomplicated, yet incredibly well-done. My qualifications include having grown up eating Korean food and having parents who own a Korean restaurant. The tteokbokki tastes just like what you would find at a traditional Korean bunsik restaurant. The components for the bibimbap were tasty and fresh, however we could have added a bit more sauce. It was a pleasant surprise that they included free warm miso soup with our takeout.
I often order here for lunch and love having great, affordable Korean food in the neighborhood. Their lunch specials are big enough for two lunches and the staff is super kind. Hoping they stay in the neighborhood for a long time!
Woori is a wonderful restaurant, the food is excellent and the service is and quick and responsive. What really sets them apart in our eyes is they treat us like family and our 3 year old daughter like a celebrity. She has enjoyed dinning here since she was 6 months old and currently sleeps with the stuffed animal they gave her for the holidays last year. Our favorite restaurant in the area.
Great food and good service, very fast and the bimbap tasted wonderful!
Great neighborhood spot for homey korean food! I love their kimchi jjigae, yukgaejang, and ddeok manu guk. Basically can’t go wrong with any of the stews. We order from here very often and the quality is always consistent.
It was my first time ordering (takeout) from Woori and everything was delicious! We had a pretty big order and they gifted us an extra appetizer with a nice note thanking us for supporting. I will definitely will dine at Woori again and am looking forward to visiting the restaurant next time.
what a sweet place — family owned, lovely, authentic homecooked meal, everything was delicious and so reasonably priced. Will def be a regular
They know what good food should taste like. My companions and I enjoyed this place. Their food presentation and flavor stood out. Staff members delivered service fitting for this caliber of restaurant. Experience this restaurant!
The food was absolutely delicious! I didn’t want to order thru app so I went there myself. Everything was so good and the portions were really generous, I had some leftovers so I had to bring em home 😌 I had been craving jajangmyeon for a while and they made it without pork due to my request so I was really thankful! I’m definitely going back again for the other dishes!! Ps. I couldn’t wait to eat so forgot to take the picture beforehand 😅
A neighborhood gem that I’m glad I finally tried! The server was very polite and food was great in terms of favor and portion. We ordered a bunch as you can see in my photo. One thing worth noting is while we were dining, I was facing the doorway so I saw a homeless guy approach the restaurant. Instead of dismissing them or getting aggravated by their presence, our server answered “yes, ok ok” and then 10 minutes later I realized they had gave the homeless guy a meal to eat. This act of kindness really touched me and restaurants/owners like this deserve good business. I’ll definitely be back to support them more. Thank you!!
Simple and no-frills but really elegantly executed. My credentials are that my parents also own a Korean restaurant and I grew up eating Korean food all my life. The tteokbokki tastes just like what you get at a classic bunsik place in Korea. Bibimbap ingredients were fresh and delicious (though we could have used a little more sauce!). They gave us complimentary warm miso soup with our takeout which was a nice surprise. Portions are generous and prices are generally reasonable for the neighborhood.
The food here is soooo delicious. I came here by chance, but they truly surprised me. Two people ordered three dishes and were completely satisfied - the flavors were just 10/10. The service was quick and enthusiastic. This place definitely deserves to be known by more people.
Lovely little place. The service is super quick! Mind that the place is BYOB All the food was delicious! My personal favorite was the LA Galbi beef Short ribs and the Kimchi. We also ordered beef and veggie fried dumplings, scallion pancake , a nori veggie roll and one of the steer fries. All of it was fresh, hot and tasty. This place is great for vegetarians and carnivores alike , there is something for everyone on the menu
I'm so hype that I found another amazing Korean restaurant in Brooklyn with great service and amazing food. The food was so good that I ordered take out twice in one day. The first time I ordered panjeon and the lunch special which included kimchi, grilled pork, japchae, kimbap and banchan. The second time I ordered mandu and kimchi stew with sausage, ham, pork belly, tofu, rice cake, and ramen. The food was flavorful, authentic and obviously made with love! I enjoyed every bite and plan on ordering here again. The physical location is a bit small and they don't serve alcohol, it's not a place you would meet with friends to have a meal. It's more of a grab and go or if you're in the area and want a great meal you would eat and go. I definitely found my second favorite Korean restaurant in Brooklyn and I hope the business stays in the area for years to come.
I am glad I found this gem 💎. I don't know where to begin with this review . Brooklyn ny has been blessed for sure . This Korean restaurant has a medium size menu but , it is made to please the finest of palettes . A very clean and well organized, cozy atmosphere . I am very pleased with the quality of the dishes that I ordered . The quantity that you receive will please even the more heartier of people . I think comparative to any of the restaurants in this area I would put the pricing to be on point to a little less . The young lady that greeted us from the time we entered to , the taking our order and , answering all of our questions was so very polite and calm . If you are In this area for any length of time and , you are looking for choices , stop in and try this place . I do hope you get to see some of the pictures that I have taken . Like and ask me questions on this or any of my reviews . Eat well and enjoy each other.
A gem is the best way I can describe this place. Amazing food, service, decor ... Everything is spot on. Shout-out to Kelly for the awesome hospitality!
Great portions. Everything is so tasty. We ate everything. Very fresh. Nice atmosphere. Not overcrowded or loud. The kimchi pancakes were fabulous. The bulgogi so tender and flavorful. We will def be coming again.
Delicious food and service. Will definitely go back and try other dishes. The seafood pancake was one of the best seafood pancakes that I've had.
OMG, first this restaurant blow up my mind with a good food like it’s very delicious I can’t even describe how the taste is Incredible I really love authentic restaurant, it’s one of my best Korean restaurant, I don’t mind if I eat every day there😍 everyone must try this. Especially for people who love try different types asian food. And the hospitality of the workers over there’s it’s wonderful & excellent
The interior is no frills but the food is great. Nice people and quick service, it's a great option for a quick low-key meal or takeout but it's not the place for a romantic date. I'll be back to try more options, but the kimchi pancake (pa jeon) was phenomenal.
My partner and I went in for a casual dinner without high expectations. The meal blew us away and the service was great. The food was tasty, especially my bibimbap, an under appreciated healthy option! Portions were also generous. We left talking about what we would try next time with reasonable expectations we’d be back often!
I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about this place :) unbelievably fast to prepare my order when I placed it first thing in the morning because I was craving it so bad! I especially appreciate that it was pretty spicy. Not enough to shock you, just a really pleasant surprise that complemented the food perfectly! I love spicy food but getting it spicy straight off the menu (without specifying heat level) is sadly not the norm for these beloved Asian restaurants because usually they have to cater to bland white people tastebuds. And the rice was really good and fresh!
Their food is absolutely incredible. Similar to another review, I too can’t even describe it…it’s amazing. Haven’t yet had a chance to dine in, but have ordered delivery/takeout maybe 10 times in the last 14 days - I wish I were kidding. It’s THAT good. Prices are on the higher end of mid-range, but you’ll understand why the second you taste it. Food is always packaged extremely well and they always leave a thoughtful sticky note with your order, which is adorable. Also most random thing ever but the amount of rice they give you is literally exact amount of rice you need, not one grain more or less, which is oddly satisfying to me lol (I hate wasting food). They also include Miso Soup with every order and I love them for it! Lunch menu is a pretty nice deal compared to dinner cost. You get a lot of extra stuff! All time favourite dishes are their Bulgogi (you can request this spicy and it’s amazing), La Galbi Gui & Dak Gui. One small tier below is the Jajangmyeon. Yukgaejang I was not a huge fan of, but I think that’s just me. Long story short, I’m sooo happy I found this place (although my wallet…not so much lol.) 1 YEAR UPDATE: Still indescribably good, still blows every other Korean restaurant I’ve tried in NYC out of the water

Woori is my absolute favorite place to order from. Their food is delicious and they follow every request to the letter. If I lived closer to this restaurant, I would absolutely eat here every day! You can’t get better Korean food - made with the utmost care and attention to detail. I highly recommend Woori!!!
My Husband (who is Korean) and I order from here all the time. Every single time the food is consistently amazing, they remember us and always leave a hand written note. No matter what you order I guarantee it’ll be amazing! Order from their website to get the best pricing! Highly authentic, flavorful, and always arrives the perfect temp! Hands down one of our favorite restaurants in the city!
My favorite Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. Usually always order from here. Favorite is dukboki and I keep trying different entrees. Yesterday went in had Galbi tang which was rich and nourishing. The meat was tender and the broth incredibly flavorful.
Our meal was surrounded by a certain specialness that's rare. The kitchen used unknown ingredients of exceptional standard. This restaurant handles every detail perfectly. We walked in without expectations and were impressed. This restaurant focuses on customer satisfaction.

I really enjoyed my takeout from Woori Korean. The service was both professional and quick, making the ordering process seamless. While the ambiance wasn’t a factor since it was takeout, the quality of the food definitely stood out. I would highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal on the go!
It was my first time here. We got the Dukboki appetizer to start with. It was a gravy base with rice cake and fish with 2 fried dumplings. Very delicious. For the main course we got Dolslot Bibimbap and Dakgui. The bibimbap served was served on a sizzling pan and was full of vegetables, rice, egg and chicken. Dakgui tasted similar as the sauce base was just the same ( gojhujang sauce). Overall experience was good, staff was friendly. I wish there were more entree options with chicken.

Tasty delivery experience via getsauce.com. I ordered ddukbokki with added cheese (rice cake in a sweet and spicy sauce), and my wife ordered dduk mandu guk (beef bone broth soup with rice cakes and dumplings). The ddukbokki came topped with two fried beef mandu. We were also given four sauce containers of banchan: spicy soy beans, radish kimchi, sweet and savory pickled vegetables, and macaroni salad. I would order delivery from Woori again, and I look forward to eating at the restaurant.
The one front of house staff was very busy with takeout orders, so though we were the only dining in table, had to wait awhile for our order to be taken and check. Food was decent! We ordered the dulsot bibimbap (2 stars, not super flavorful), sundubu jjigae (5 stars! Yum!, and haemul pajeon (4 star!). The banchan were just okay.

Food was good. But we dined in and the place smelt like sewage… we should have walked out but we felt bad so we quickly ordered one dish then went next door. Looking back, I can’t believe they were operating under such condition. Seems like a health hazard.
I had food poisoning once from this restaurant and got refund once. They called my personal phone number and verbally attacked me for complaining about dissatisfaction with their service. they told me to not take any future order from now on simply becuase I had an issue with their service one time? who called costumers personal number to confront them and start an argument with them all because there was costumer complain? they don't even know the very basics of how to run the restaurant if this is their attitude towards their costumers. If. you want to deal with egotistical narcissists, condescending rude owner, and terrible costumer service, this restaurant is the place for you.
They blocked my number for no reason when I tried calling to order something. they canceled orders for delivery no reasons even though I never had issue with ordering before. I got food poisoning once and called the restaurant to ask for a refund and they got mad at me for serving spoiled food and accused me of lying. it was unbelievable how confidently rude the owner was. I had to cancel order and asked for refund from Grubhub because I made a mistake of selecting wrong option for my order. The restraint owner got super petty and called me and started CONFRONTING ME and ARGUING with me about how I shouldn't order from here again because I made one mistake. never experience such a pettiness and narcissistic behavior from anywhere else until I stumble upon this place. I was shocked by how she criticized my choice of where I spend my money. I mean where did she get that audacity from to CALL the Costumer just to have an argument with a customer. Ive never experiences such a disrespect from any restaurants. im not sure if she was discriminating me and picking on me because im Korean but this was unacceptable
The food was extremely salty and overcooked. We ordered a galbi tang, la galbi, and a bibimbap. The galbi tang was bland and tasted of nothingness (no beef flavor no msg no anything like drinking water), the la galbi was rough, salty as hell, and oversauced, and the bibimbap beef was also overcooked with the pickled radish tasting like its been fermenting for a solid 5 minutes. The sides were ok, the bean sprouts and mac, but the radish and celery were had little fermentation and gochugaru taste. This is hands down the worst korean food I’ve ever had in my life and I lived in Indiana for 4 years. I know this is a small business and maybe the chef was high or something today but my god this was awful. I hope other people had better experiences and from the comments it seems that way but I will be avoiding this restaurant fervently.
I don’t usually post reviews but this has never happened to me before and I just feel so violated and grossed out I have to share lol. My boyfriend and I ordered Uber Eats from here and as I pulled out the packaged spoon that they provided that was wrapped in a napkin, TWO bugs crawled out!!!!!! The bugs must have been sitting in that spot for a while because the inside of the napkin and the spoon was covered by its poop!!!! Like whattt???? I have no idea how the food was so can’t comment on that because I was busy trying to find the other bug that ran off after I dropped everything on the floor
Worst Korean food I’ve ever tasted. Each dish was terribly dry. Seafood in Japchae was miniature. Dishes way over priced. Ordered one day after snow storm.
