Jalapeño Asiago spread is so good
Great bagel and quick service. I got sesame seed bagel with sun dried tomato cc and it was delicious!
The best bagels in NYC!!
The bagels were very good and fresh. Friendly service. My 1st time there and would go again
I really enjoyed this fresh hot everything bagel from Myrtle Ave. Bagels. I got to sit out side and enjoy the street, the bagel, and people watch.
Great place ! The bagels are delicious !
Love Myrtle Ave. Bagels!! Whether you want salty or sweet they mastered both
I've recently started to use UberEATS for ordering my work lunch. In my area there aren't many real decent fairly healthy food options. I came across Myrtle Bagel today on the app, and after checking out their reviews on google, decided to give them a try. I have to say that I am very impressed. The menu in the app didn't make all alternate order options for my dish available, so when I called them to ask how I would be able to order the dish the way I wanted, they had no problem explaining to me how I should do it. I wanted to substitute various things and add an egg to my dish and they didn't tell me they couldn't do it because there was no way of charging me for it, rather they simply said to add that to the additional details section on the order. The food arrived at the time it was estimated and the food was delicious, and still warm. Thank you guys for a delicious lunch!
I originally came to Bergen Bagel down the street, but this place is always less crowded and have about as many options! I love the quality of the bagels, and they even have at least 3 vegan spreads.
The bagels are great—can’t go wrong!
Love this spot bagels are fresh and delicious, perfect for breakfast. Staff is super friendly and the place is clean with a nice vibe. Definitely my go to on Myrtle Ave.
Absolutely obsessed! The blueberry cream cheese was unexpectedly amazing—super fresh and packed with flavor. With the recent updates to the store, it looks even better than before. Myrtle Ave Bagels is officially my new go-to in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to come back!
By far my favorite bagel shop in the BK!! The bagels are always so fresh and truly delicious! I recommend to my friends all the time for the great food and friendly staff!
Hands down best bagels in Brooklyn. Always fresh and super tasty. I order bagels for the office at least once a week and my staff goes crazy for them.
Stopped in today and the bacon egg and cheese was unreal. Bagel was fresh, bacon crispy, everything perfect. Super clean spot and really nice people. New go-to.
So exciting to see the new branding and ownership - the bagels and cream cheeses are delicious and the service is quick - highly recommend!
I loveeeee these bagels!!!! Everything tastes SO fresh, it's unbelievably tasty. I even recommended this bagel shop to my mom who is a tough bagel critic. Don't walk, RUNNNN here!
Very welcoming neighborhood Bagel Store! Bagels were fresh and so many different cream cheese options. Can’t wait to go back!
Wow, talk about a new look. I always walk by this place, but yesterday I decided to finally go in after I saw the new redo of the place. The mascot was my favorite part, like a quirky spirit to the place. Will come again ;)
Service is crazy good. Vibes are great. Food is betta! Honestly best bacon egg & cheese in the city or Brooklyn. Turkey sando was unreal as well!
I was recently in the Clinton Hill area and needed food quick. I had a great bagel sandwich at Myrtle Ave Bagels! Excellent sesame bagel and kind service. Really hit the spot!
Delicious with great service! This is definitely one of my frequent spots. The staff is great and always remember my order.
A true New York bagel! Sooo good!! And to top it off, the customer service is on point. I found my new spot
The bagels were amazing! The store was clean, can’t wait load up post nyc marathon
Picked up about two dozen for a team meeting… I’m a native New Yorker and these are the best in the city in my opinion.
Really good, high quality, fresh bagels. These are the real deal.
I love this place, the foods great and it’s convenient because it’s not even 5 minutes from my college. Plus the mascot is cool
Really like the food. The cashier is so sweet. We get a warm welcome and greetings from her. We feel valued every time me and my wife go there. Really love the vibe. Highly recommend.
Seems like they’ve made some changes to quality and quantity, and freshened up the shop as well. Much better than I remember, will be back.
If I had to sum up the experience in three words, it would be BBB — Best Bagel, Best Brew, Best Brunch. Everything was spot-on, from the perfectly toasted bagels to the rich coffee and the laid-back brunch vibe. Truly one of those rare places where the name says it all — simply the best.
My new favorite bagel in BK! The customer service was excellent, very kind and welcoming. Definitely coming back.
I recently stopped by Myrtle Avenue Bagels and had a bagel with lox. The bagel itself was fresh, soft on the inside with a nice chew, and the lox was flavorful without being overly salty. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe of the shop was welcoming. A solid spot if you are craving a classic bagel and lox.
I’m in bagel heaven! This will be my only place for bagels from now on. Clean store, friendly staff, and the BEST bagel I’ve ever had. Fresh, tasteful, delicious! Would give 10 stars if I could!!!
Amazing bagels and fantastic service! The selection is delicious, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely my go-to spot for a perfect breakfast. Highly recommend!
Place is great under these new owners, the atmosphere is great and the food is so much better now. This is the closet bagel place to me and now with these new owners it is game changing and truly my go to spot. They care so much about the community and the new mural inside gives it such a comfortable feel.
best bagels in the hood and at this price point it's actually worth it. the bagel is big. the filling is maximum. the bacon is crispy and the cheese was just oozing everywhere. honestly wish it was closer so i could frequent it more often but it's worth the extra steps. can't wait to come back
The best!!! New ownership has changed so much for the better. Beautiful renovation, amazing bagels. Love their cream cheese selection and breakfast sandwiches. Why go anywhere else?
I love the variety of bagels at this spot, my breakfast was incredible! Not to mention how clean and cozy the place feels. There’s something about the vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. You can tell it’s a local gem that’s really becoming part of the community. Can’t wait to go back! 😍😍❤️
What a delightful spot!! Delicious bagels and spreads, and a friendly staff.. Make sure to stop by if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!!
Our favorite part of New York is exploring all the bagel shops. This cute neighborhood bagel shop did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in to the delicious bagel bite.
The new ownership has truly stepped it up! The new renovations and redesign has given this place a second life that it needed. I have been going to this place for years and will continue thanks to the great service, atmosphere, and food!!
Such an amazing neighborhood place - my go to for bagels always. Love the new design and updates to the menu. Definitely a must visit!
Love this place! Good food, good people - definitely worth checking out for some quality NY bagels and sandwiches with amazing flavors.
The best bagels in not only Brooklyn, but NYC as a whole. The bagel options are abundant and every flavor I’ve tried is has been 10/10. Recommend the everything, cheese bagel, and blueberry bagel. Cream cheese options follow suit and the scallion cream cheese is my favorite. Atmosphere is lively and service is always pleasant.
I’m from LA, and it’s hard to find a truly good bagel back home. Took a quick trip to New York and stopped by this spot. It was so worth the morning detour. I tried the Big Breakfast Bagel, and it was delicious! They have tons of bagel varieties, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
I think I've had the best bagels of my life! And what about the croissants? Simply delicious!!! Impeccable service and very attentive and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back and will recommend them to all my friends.
growing up in NY, i have had many bagels in my lifetime .. and this was one of my favorites .. but, for me, it was about more than the bagel itself (which was, indeed, delish), it was the entire experience. you walk in and are greeted by this incredible mural on the wall .. which would make any NYer or visitor smile instantly! from that moment, it is clear that you are in for a serious NYC treat. the day i was there , so were the new owners, who make you feel like you’ve just entered their home — very welcoming, engaging and super helpful! i will definitely be back again and have no doubt that i will have an equally great experience. to the owners - and Clinton - whatever you are doing, keep it up, you’re crushing it!
I can’t say enough good things about this bagel shop! The bagels are always fresh, just the way a real bagel should be. The staff is friendly, quick and welcoming, even during the busy morning rush. The shop is cozy, and has a great neighborhood vibe. it’s a great experience every time. Highly recommend this place to any bagel lover, you won’t be disappointed ❤️
Myrtle Bagel is my everyday “go to” spot for breakfast! They have a wide range of food which is always fresh and properly prepared. The guys are super cool, friendly, and they NEVER mess up the orders. Dining in is a chill vibe with great music! You’ll be very satisfied with everything!
This bagel shop is hands down one of the best food discoveries I’ve made in a long time. From the moment you walk in, there’s an energy that makes you feel both welcomed and excited. The warm aroma of freshly baked bagels fills the air, and the space itself feels cozy and inviting, with bright lights that give it a cheerful, welcoming glow. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home, whether you’re grabbing something to go or settling in for a quiet bite. What sets this shop apart is the craftsmanship. The bagels have that elusive balance that only true bagel masters can achieve: a beautiful glossy crust that crackles ever so slightly when you bite in, and a soft, chewy interior that’s both hearty and satisfying. You can tell immediately these are made with care and pride. The variety is outstanding — they’ve mastered the classics like sesame, everything, and plain, but also offer creative options that make you want to come back and try them all. And while every bagel here is worth ordering, I have to rave about my personal favorite: the pastrami lox with scallion cream cheese. It’s an absolute game-changer. The lox itself is smoky, rich, and layered with incredible pastrami spices that elevate it far beyond the traditional. Paired with the cool, tangy scallion cream cheese, it’s the perfect marriage of flavors — indulgent yet balanced, and unforgettable. I even placed a catering order recently, and it was a huge hit. Everything was beautifully packaged, fresh, and delivered with the same care you get in-store. My guests couldn’t stop talking about the quality of the bagels and spreads — it made the entire event feel extra special. Beyond the food, the staff make the experience even better. They’re genuinely friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they serve. They’ll chat with you about their favorite combos, make great recommendations, and always make you feel like a valued guest — whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. In a city full of bagels, this place stands out as something truly exceptional. Between the cozy, light-filled atmosphere, the unforgettable flavors, and the welcoming team, it’s the kind of spot that reminds you why a great bagel is more than just breakfast — it’s comfort, community, and craft all rolled into one. I’ve already started recommending it to friends, and I’ll be back again (and again) for that pastrami lox with scallion cream cheese.
This Bagel shop has completely raised the bar for what a great bagel should be. Their classic flavors are spot on, but the creative seasonal options are what really set them apart. I tried the the pastrami/lox bagel, and it instantly became my favorite!!! Toppings and spreads are fresh and generously portioned, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. This place has become a MUST-stop every morning for breakfast
I have never been a fan of lox but a friend of mine, who frequents this bagel shop convinced me to try their lox cream cheese and i absolutely loved it!! It is now my new favorite thing to order. Also the service was Amazing- very friendly staff - they help with convincing me to try it as well! I've been 3 times since my 1st time and I will definitely be a returning costumer.
This was my first time coming in and I was really impressed!! The atmosphere is so welcoming, and the interior has such a nice vibe. I especially loved the mural, it gives the place so much character. The bagels were fresh and delicious, and you can tell they put care into everything. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
I stopped by Myrtle Avenue Bagels for breakfast and was really impressed. The bagels are very fresh, and made just right honestly some of the best I’ve had. The people working here are kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The spot is comfortable, and feels like a hidden gem spot. Something you’ll want to keep coming back to.
The bagels are always fresh, perfectly chewy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Whether it’s a simple cream cheese or a hearty egg sandwich, everything tastes like it’s made with care. The staff here really make the difference they’re welcoming, attentive, and keep things moving even during the busy morning rush. It feels like a true neighborhood spot where they know how to take care of their customers. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and well put together a great place to sit down for breakfast or just grab something quick on the way to work. You can tell the team puts effort not only into the food but also into keeping the space inviting. Overall, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch bagels and great service in Brooklyn.
Myrtle Ave. Bagels has quickly become my go-to breakfast and lunch spot for me. The bagels are always fresh and perfectly chewy on the inside with that crisp bite on the outside. Thats just how I think a perfect bagel should be. They have a great selection to pick from and everything tastes amazing. The part that makes this place stand out from the rest is the staff. They're friendly and quick. Even when the place is busy I haven't needed to wait long for my order. You can't go wrong with this place! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a real bagel!
Adorable place, the pigeon mural brought me in and I’m so happy I came in to see what was going on. I’m guilty of following the long line since that’s how you find the best things in NY. It didn’t disappoint, I enjoyed my version of BEC- Turkey bacon, egg white and cheese on a scooped out bagel. No one bat an eyelash with my specific request as I enter the journey of trying to get a little “healthier” after eating all that NY has to offer for decades. I could gate keep but the people were so nice in there everyone needs to feel this sense of community I felt which is slowly a dying feeling. The food was the added bonus!
Whenever I’m in the area, I love stopping by Myrtle Ave Bagel. The egg bagels and everything bagels are my go-to! Always fresh and so good that I usually take a few home to freeze. The renovation looks great, the vibe is super welcoming, and Clinton the Pigeon is a fun new touch. Definitely my favorite in this neighborhood!
Whenever I’m in this neighborhood i usually stop here for a bagel sandwich. BEC is my go to and the bagels are always fresh. $7.33 for a BEC is a good price in my opinion. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Would recommend if you are in the area and need a quick sandwich.
Good food, quick and convenient. Gets really busy in the morning until about 11am. I recommend to call in advance if you need your food in a hurry.
I'm so excited for this!!!! It was a online delivery and I was more than happy when I opened it. It was fresh, and tasted wonderful. Lox, capers, red onion, tomato, and cream cheese on a everything bagel. It is priced at $12.75 but it is well worth it. I will order it again. Downside, the delivery person didn't come up I had to go down and get it.
This is my regular spot during work and I love it. They have fresh sandwiches that aren't completely killing my pockets. They aren't stingy with the meat and everyday have a variety of sandwiches on the specials menu for just $5.99. If you don't know what you want to eat for lunch I definitely recommend saving your money at the overpriced Subway around the corner and have a hearty sandwich from Myrtle's Bagel.
Solid bagels. This area is flooded with delis that have bagels, but this is one of the few actual bagel spots. I've had a bunch of different bagels, sandwiches, and spreads here, and they're all good. They're not the best bagel in the city by any means, but you can't go wrong with anything you get here.
Great Bagels, smoothies, and coffee. But i cant get behind their nefarious illicit activities. They're destributing bendy straws. The ban of single use plastic straws went into effect in 2021. They have until this year hallpween before they are fined. $100 for the first offense $200 for the second offense $400 for the third and subsequent offenses If you cant slurp up the crime, youll slurp up the time. Slurp slurp. Slurp.
Some of my favorite bagels around. Their poppy seed bagels as well as their sesame are generously covered. Nice and fluffy if you like them that way. $5.30 for an egg and cheese is a fair price. *edit: had to remove a star because they’ve increased the price .82 cents in the last week and quality has gone down. No longer a good value, $6.22 is too expensive for an egg and cheese on a bagel.
Ordered an everything bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese and coffee, and it was a great breakfast! Menu looks amazing, good variety of cream cheese spreads, prices are very reasonable! Only downside is the wait time for your order is pretty long, would not recommend going here if you’re in a rush but worth a trip on a lazy morning.
It’s average. Sometimes they have a good bagel. Sometimes they give you a bagel that’s a couple days old.
Normally Good bagel shop but was slower than usual and bagel quality was down a notch. The bagel outsides were too hard, crunchy. This shop is usually a solid 4 stars.
The cashier at the front has a disgusting attitude but the food is good! I would have gave 5 stars but that cashier needs a class for customer service and greeting! Her behavior is despicable smh!
While the bagels are good, they cater to online orders and leave those who walk in waiting for up to 15 minutes. There’s no reason why someone should wait more than 10 minutes for a simple cream cheese bagel.
Bagels are usually good. Last couple visits seems like bagels aren’t fresh. Also asked for extra cream cheese and barely was enough to cover one side. Little disappointed considering I usually recommend this spot.
I tried really hard to enjoy this place. Bagels are mediocre, and that isn't the problem. It takes way, way too long to make people bagels during peak hours. Bergen Bagels on Myrtle is 5 min flimflamwhimwham out the door, every single day.
Used to be good then they started making bagels that taste like bread (not chewy enough). Skimp cream cheese amounts. Generally not as good as other places. Their specials are pretty inventive though
Whole wheat everything with tofu scallion and tomato:Pic is AFTER I went up and asked for more spread because they first handed me the thinnest diet scrape that it didn’t even cover the whole bagel. as you can see in the pic the tomato is translucent white/green with a touch of pink- flavorless, not fresh. Bagel itself is ok
UPDATE!: 9/13 They don't seem to listen entirely on what you order from them. They'll send you the wrong order and charge you for it. About a month ago in August of 2025, I placed an order of a breakfast sandwich and I noticed that they put home fries IN your sandwich, instead of on the side like they normally would. I am not sure why they would do that, because the results were me thinking they forgot my item that I requested a refund from them, through Grubhub. Once I realized they put the home fries in the sandwich when I opened it, I tried to find a solution to give the money back to the merchant, but I was told by customer service that they couldn't reverse the transaction. Why would you put the home fries in the sandwich and not on the side?? That's like putting French fries inside your burger and not on the side. These people were slick to try to charge me an item I didn't order from them, to get the money back that I ask for a refund when I didn't notice they place the home fries in the sandwich. I believe it had to due with the home fries order. Frankly, I won't be ordering from them again due to this shady behavior of what just happened today. Maybe in the future, but not for a while. The food is very good overall. However, it has become an overpriced bagel shop at this location. Service is just ok here. I think it is some of the workers are great, but not all of them. I will be going to Bergen bagels from now on. ****************************************** I don't normally write reviews but today, the customer service was mediocre. I made the mistake but ordering the "lox spectacular" instead of the "lox ruby red spectacular" by mistake. when I notice this, I called the store back and told them that I ordered the lox spectacular and wanted to know if I can bring it back. I never yelled or caught an attitude with them or anything, I knew it was my fault. so when I showed up, the black girl who I normally see when she takes people's orders, was pretty stingy and had a childish attitude behavior about it. All I ask for the correct order and I never accused them of anything knowing it was my fault, but her attitude was a bit off. Customer service should be 100% on point. So when the girl hands me my order, she said a smart remark saying "next time say lox ruby red spectacular not lox spectacular" with a smirk on her face, as if I don't know what the difference is. Let me remind you I always order the lox ruby red bagel, and I normally see the same girl. But the way she handle the situation today was rude. she even went to go on and laugh with her coworkers in the back as if I can't hear see what they are saying. I am a regular customer to this bagel shop. I have been going here for 2 years now, I will think twice about coming here ever again if customer service is not up to par.
I ordered a bagel and I’m not even sure what i got. It’s more like a football shaped roll. Listen, the signature O shape of a bagel is important, especially for toasting because it distributed heat on the inside more easily. I asked for extra toasted yet the inside is still soft and feels undercooked? The outside is burnt…which i come to expect sometimes when I order my bagels extra toasted. Eeeek! I will stick to Bagel World on Willoughby
My boyfriend ordered food from here and after over an hour of waiting called for a status. Person repeatedly hung up on him. Delivery finally arrived with cold food. Unacceptable for a place a block away. He sent it back to the deli, and they resent it after MICROWAVING THE FOOD. Microwaved food is obvious and pathetic. Such a disappointment and ridiculous waste of time and money. Rude customer service and horrible delivery courier.
let it be known that upon recital of my higly anticapated warp and coffe, I was sorely dissapointed when presented with the final product of these purchases. The coffee tasted of water and the warp swirlys around in my stomach like a tornado ready to tear everything apart. Very disapponted :(
Everything over priced. Simple bagel is hard and dry. Little to no cream cheese. I stopped going to this place.
I gave it one star only bc they couldn’t get my order right. My bagel was over toasted (burnt) and they tend to press the bagels here. Which hardens up the bagel. The second time around they added the wrong kind of cream cheese which they wrote the order down but still was not able to accommodate for their mistake. Very frustrating! I wish that I hadnt tipped them the first time too. Lastly the fridge is very noisey and buzzes loudly. I couldn’t have a nice simple quiet breakfast inside which I was looking very forward to it all morning. :(
The bagels here are amazing, but the woman at the front is always rude. She ignores customers and when she finally greets them she looks angry. She's always there. I've seen many patient customers walked out after not being served for 5 minutes.
I have a problem with Myrtle Bagel and I will not be returning with my business here. I have been treated rudely by the staff on multiple occasions for no apparent reason. The bagels and cream cheese are shockingly over-priced for their quality, which is low. Their flavored cream cheeses are full of sugar, splenda, and coloring. Their juice bar is a complete sham compared to the ones in the immediate surrounding area. The bacon, egg, and cheese are all individually disgusting here. I asked for tomato on mine and it was basically a slice of rotten tomato that had been sitting in a fridge for days. I am honestly shocked by their high rating and good reviews. Especially by the large amount of seemingly regular patrons.
The food is good but this place has terrible service. The cashiers are so rude and vapid they’ve totally ignored me while standing at the counter to order, but my invisibility cloak drops once it’s time for me to pay. While white customers get a ‘hello good morning, how are you?’, i’ve never been asked even ‘can i help you?’ What a mess. Isn’t all our money green? Furthermore it always takes longer than I think it should for a sandwich. I’ve decided to buy elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.
One of the worst chicken parm sandwiches I ever had. The chicken was dry, tough, and stale. If you had loose teeth, you can potentially lose them while eating the chicken parm.
Horrible spot.. they cater to online orders instead of those who walk in and order a bagel before the basket runs out. They cook eggs and bacon before they give pancakes.. eggs are cold and they sorta suck for a Brooklyn bagel spot compared to most o e been too.. i even ordered extra cheese and got one slice of an order smh
Ordered a normal bacon and egg for my toddler and it was so spicy it made him cry. I know I didn’t have the wrong order so they’re probably not cleaning up when making other orders
I have really enjoyed this place. However when you say you open at 7am you need to open. This is not the first time. Often at this time of day people are busy and trying to get some place. Today when I showed at 7:05 I was told to leave the store because they were not open. I was not the only customer in the store. This is Poor customer service. The employee could have said good morning and apologized for running late, but instead was greeted with we are not open you can’t be in here. I would have waited if they said good morning and apologized do or the wait. I guess they do good business since they can open late and tell people to leave. This was my favorite bagel place on Myrtle. I will not be returning any time soon.
This is unacceptable. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hero and realized the sandwich was cut after it was already wrapped in aluminum foil, meaning the knife went through the foil and into the food, leaving aluminum pieces inside the sandwich. This is a serious food safety issue that management needs to address immediately. Consuming metal fragments can cause real harm over time, and honestly, who knows how long I’ve been unknowingly eating aluminum from here. They’re lucky I didn’t bring the sandwich right back to the counter the moment I noticed. This level of carelessness when serving food is dangerous and completely unacceptable. Who does something like this? By the way my picture doesn’t do it justice there were a dozen pieces of aluminum in my FOOD!! (Monday 1pm-2pm for time reference)
