Crusted Thai Ginger salmon with sauteed spinach real mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy.... can you say banging baby if you haven't been there get there... shall we dance at Tango
Always delicious - doesn't disappoint.
Have only been there for lunch, but the soups are delicious and the sandwiches are wonderful! The mushroom and French Onion soup are fabulous. The crab cakes sandwich is extraordinary! Definitely a must visit!
This is a great place for a large family get together but pricey. There alcohol selection is good, their dumplings are killer, and the Tango burger is to die for. Great place, really worth it.
This is a great restaurant… clean and comfy. The service is superb and they have the utmost respect for their frequent customers. Oh and yeah, the food is delicious!!!! DJ Lisa Love has a new favorite restaurant!!!!!
Food very good. Menu interesting. Service excellent. Charming atmosphere. Prices slightly above average but food is worth it. A favorite of mine.
Great night, great food! Veal meatloaf light and sweet, mushroom ravioli great not heavy with cream, mushrooms smooth. Drinks, great but topper was the waiter, personable and attentive.
Really good food and nice ambiance. They also have good happy hour specials, but you have to sit at the bar. Joining the rewards card is a good idea if you come frequently.
Casual yet elegant. My partner and I took his mother, an epicure, and who was very delighted by her entire meal and visit to Tango. Tango is just fantastic in our book.
Great Italian-Mexican flavored restaurant, with a very different "build your own" entree selection. Good service, tasty cocktails and desserts. Give it a try.
Good place to eat i went here for dinner for a bachelorette party. The wine crab spinach dip was yummy gochmoly was yummy loved the French onion soup and crab cake and sweet potato Fry's my creme blue lay was amazing survive was slow at beginning ill defiantly came back here again
A delicious lemon chicken orzo soup and veal meatloaf over mashed potatoes and al dente broccoli florets. Filet Mignon over salad with blue cheese crumbles with extra balsamic on side for my lovely spouse. A very special meal serve by Amy. She is top-notch.
The food is wonderful with an emphasis on high quality healthful ingredients and artful presentation. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly owner and staff, and the warm and beautiful decor.
Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere, my boyfriend took me for Valentine’s Day!!! Can’t believe I haven’t heard of this place sooner. Thank you Jeff for the great service!
Excellent food and service. The train goes by your window.. cool! I love the French onion soup and the mushroom soup, the trout, the scallops mashed potatoes, drinks are good. One of our favorite places for special occasions as it can be a bit pricey...but worth it.
Amazing food options. Lunch is really good with quick options if you are under a time crunch. Cozy atmosphere and wonderful service makes this perfect for meetings too! Definitely try the French onion soup.
My favorite restaurant ever. Wish I could move it to my neighborhood. Amazing everything. Never a bad meal and super friendly staff. The owner always makes sure his guest are happy and even sent us out a cheesecake dessert on the house that was to die for.
Enjoyed a Great meal with Co-workers. Our Server was great! Their soda lines were frozen, but she hooked us up with Diet Coke & took care of a mis- cooked order readily.
My husband and I planned a special birthday dinner at Tango last month, with 20 guests. Everything was perfect. We had a lovely private room with cocktails out on the patio adjacent to the diningroom. It was a chilly night so heaters kept everyone comfortable. The service was outstanding and the food was wonderful. All of my guests enjoyed the evening and loved the restaurant. Restaurant manager Lauren was so helpful in the planning process and made sure we were happy with everything the night of the dinner. The staff could not have been nicer. We would definitely plan another event at Tango! Thank you to everyone there!!
Consistently good American food for business lunches and family dinners. The manager Bill is very nice. Never had a miss here. The Salmon wrap at lunch is my favorite. Kids like to watch the trains from the train dining car inspired far room.
This place is consistently good. Never had a bad meal here. I give it 5 stars for that. It's not always the most forward thinking restaurant. The menu has remained pretty much the same for many years, but they are a solid restaurant and have everything on their menu down pat. I had the salmon which I like plain and it was delicious. The peppers appetizer was really good and I think that was a recent addition. Their drinks are always good and it's nice to have the choice of a $9 glass of wine if you want that. I hope they stay open forever because this is a great go to for so many occasions when you just want to relax and not worry about your guests finding something they like. Kudos to a great restaurant. You have stood the test of time.
I have never had a bad meal at Tango but you must have a reservation on the weekends for dinner . I’ve been turned away more than once by trying to get in , but no they stick to their lists like glue. Sitting in the train car is fun for everyone and closing the drapes is cute and romantic . Lunch here is very good too. Excellent food and service when you can get a table ! Very rustic decor and not a lot of parking on a very busy evening !
Elegant and a little pricey the food and service can't be beat. Everything I have eaten here has been a real gourmet treat. The portions are ample and the service is excellent. Parking is available but a little awkward. The building is really interesting - I think it is an old train station but the renovation is 100% clean and up to date.
It was our first time enjoying the happy hour. The appetizer menu was pretty broad for a happy hour. Drink specials were lovely. We chose a margarita and a red sangria with a plate of calamari. The drinks were great! The calamari was super tasty with a lovely warm marinara. We will be returning indeed.
Nice atmosphere and good food. I feel the menu needs a bit more diversity in ingredients. A lot of the dishes come with the same sides. What they do make is great though.
Great food, very fresh. Can be pricey. My two year old loves the close-passing trains, but many people wouldn't. Service is always excellent.
Food is excelent, but I was concerned because today is Thanksgiving day and there were employees that were waiting on customers to leave in order for them to go dinner with their families, if the restaurant closes at 7pm, people should be more considerated to others and dont just hang in there for no reason....next time, please give these employees a break to be with their family. oowners give some insentive to them....well deserved.
Our favorite spot for dinner, when we get a chance to be in Bryn Mawr area. The food and drinks are delicious. The service is good and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend this restaurant
Food was excellent. The menu has a ton of options and there is a nicely sized wine list. A unique option was the selection of red and white wine flights so we could try three different types of wine each. The only down side was the lack of attentive service.
We went with another couple for dinner Saturday night. The restaurant has very nice ambience. There's a fireplace. Comfortable booths. Service was good. The food was OK, but nothing was exceptional. The only thing we disliked is that although we had reservation, they seated us at an adjoining room which was not as nice, but we requested to move and we were seated in a nice booth. I would recommend this place and would visit again.
Great place for Friday date night. Drinks are excellent. The hot kale salad is especially good for an entree. Server was very helpful. One of our five entrees was missing so it became a complimentary meal without us even asking! Plenty of parking. Right behind the Bryn Mawr train station.
The rustic-meets-slick-tavern decor is inviting. The menu had several good broiled and grilled fish options. The mushroom soup and black bean soup were very nice. Next time I will have one of their salad entrees, probably the Nice-tuna filet. The wait staff was efficient given the place was operating at capacity, and it was Valentine's Day. While eating, regional rail trains blurred surprisingly close to the window at our booth and we could feel tiny vibrations. That added to the experience. After dinner we noticed the Bryn Mawr train station is adjacent to the restaurant and I wondered if the old, stone building housing the restaurant had originally been built as a freight depot or other industrial/rail use. Tango is a nice surprise. We will return.
The place is very nice & clean. Our meal was phenomenal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the service was really bad. The guy wasn't friendly, dressed like he worked in the kitchen, and wasn't nice or friendly at all. I would be back but would ask for another server.
Cream of mushroom soup is the best I've ever had. Service is a little strange though. The waiter we had was competent enough just not all that friendly. I've run into that with multiple servers there.
Very nice place to eat. Food was good and service was excellent. Comfortable seating (booth). Crab cakes were good, made with lump crab meat, but had a bit too much filler for my taste. The fries were thin and crispy.
Lively atmosphere. The food is excellent and portions are generous. I had the mushroom ravioli topped with vegetables and crabmeat. My husband had the jambalaya and raved about it. It took quite a while for us to get our entrees but overall it was a nice dinner out.
Love the decor, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's also clutch that they have a parking lot which can be hard to find in those main line downtown restaurants! Only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 star rating is because I planned and event here and had a lot of trouble being in touch with the events manager because all of their incoming emails were going to spam. We planned the event over the course of a month and the problem was never fixed- had to follow up every email with a phone call several days later.
It's a 3.9--not quite a 4. Flavors were good in the veal meatloaf, and the mashed potatoes were nice. Broccoli was under seasoned but was cooked well. Chicken was bland, dry--the two year old still enjoyed it. Takeout containers were well labeled but there were at least 3 per dish since the container were small (maybe not much of a takeout business?).
The food here was great. The beer selection was nice, not just your usuals in the area. The down side was that the room was drafty and a bit chilly. If you don't like the cold, be warned to being a sweater. I don't normally feel cold either. I would save a visit here for fair weather because of the draft in the lower dining area by the train tracks. Oh, if you are a train watcher, you will enjoy this place more, it's right on one of the lines.
Nice place to hang out... Burgers are good, crab cakes are good. fairly fast service...
Tango is a place we used to enjoy, but time has not been kind to Tango. Service was dreadful. The restaurant was perhaps half full. We had to find our server to place our order. Our drink orders came out slowly, and it was clear they had been sitting awhile. Then at the end if the night it took out server 15 minutes to return with our credit card slips for signatures. The food was maybe average. There was nothing here to recommend this as a place to come and eat.
The experience here can only be described as painfully mediocre. As an appetizer we had fried lobster fritters which were ok, but you couldn't really taste the lobster. For dinner I had the New York steak with a garlic herb butter and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were decent though they were so lackluster that my dining partner thought they came from a box. They didn't. The steak was ok. It was perfectly serviceable but not something I'd ever crave for. I've been to multiple restaurants that offer better steak than the one offered here.
A fairly large restaurant next to the railway. Large parking. The roadside style is maintained. Nice atmosphere. Attentive and fast service. The food was ordinary. Not bad, tasty enough. But not all dishes. I got burnt tuna. This fish was impossible to eat. I have a burnt aftertaste left in my mouth. This dish cost 25 dollars. I'm not sure I will recommend it.
Lovely building, fun to see the trains so close up but poor service and terrible food make it an unattractive choice. I had taco salad. The soggy iceburg lettuce was topped with sawdust chicken and some black olives. I was really hungry but not hungry enough to eat something this bad. I ate popcorn in the car on my way home.
A good location and nice decor. The staff are friendly. The food quality was not consistent. The sesame encrusted tuna was great, but the red snapper with the other components were swimming liquid butter/oil. I will call it a grilled fish served in a soup.
My husband went here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I was very disappointed. The service staff was very friendly, but I feel like they didn't give us the attention they should have. The steak was served medium well when I ordered it medium rare. The food was not seasoned well. Overall, I didn't feel the food was worth the price and will not be returning.
I visited this with my Grandmother and Mother as a sending off celebration. I had ordered the Ribeye steak medium rare. When it first arrived it looked excellent, but after cutting it open I discovered it was closer to medium well then medium rare. This happens every now and then so I politely asked to send it back to the kitchen for a new one. In my mind this is a fairly normal thing that happens at restaurants every so often. However, I was astounded when the waiter came back with my steak sliced in many pieces and insisted on arguing with me that half was medium rare and that I should be happy with that. When I insisted on sending it back I thought that was the end of it. No, next time he came back to fill drinks (without my new steak) he argued that it was actually medium rare and it was the lighting that had confused me. I thought this was both rude and an attempt to embarrass me in front of my grandmother. However, that wasn’t the end of it because when he brought my new steak the waiter insisted on bringing the old one out to compare. The food was good once I had the right thing, but to be argued with three times about simply sending a steak back because it was cooked to much is unacceptable.
Go to McDonald's instead. Don't bother having your family get togethers here either. Especially not a funeral or wedding. Wait staff is terrible! Give you attitude for asking for a drink you ordered an hour earlier. Will never return
We both ordered medium rare hamburgers. What we received were well done, overcooked, dry and tough. Obviously had sat on the grill too long. When we arrived home we received a call from the restaurant that we had left our credit card there and it would be held safely in their safe until we could come back. When we returned the following day, the card could not be located in the safe. After some time, it was found at the reception desk, not in the downstairs safe where we had been assured it would be placed. Overall, not a good experience.
I placed an order through Caviar last night, all of what was supposed to be Gluten-Free from your menu. I ended up very sick. Either the food was not Gluten-Free or was cross contaminated in the preparation and cooking. Please double check your menu to be sure what is advertised as Gluten-Free truly is, same with your preparation processes, please be conscious or cross contamination. For some Gluten-Free is a fad ,and for others it's a must clinically for certain medical diagnoses.
