Nice family hamburger place with a retro diner atmosphere. The menu was broad with several side options beyond fries or tots. The burgers and onion rings were were good. There were 5 of us dining and all ordered different things. All orders were correct. We noticed several different first responders dining while we were there; generally, they know the better places to dine at reasonable prices. This holds true here.

AWESOME little spot for a GREAT burger!! Founded in 1973, and the inside decorations are definitely a throwback. Really great atmosphere. Honestly one of the best burgers I have had in some time. If you are in the area, skip all the garbage burger "chains" that are close by and get one at DANS!!! You will not regret it!

Dan's is always delicious and a great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. But, we recently did a catering order for 68 burgers 2 days in a row. The management was so kind in confirming orders, making sure everything was 100% correct, and even making sure the toppings were all on the side for a giant group of middle school football players. Thank you Dan's for being the best of the best!

I just love this place. Anytime I'm in Buda visiting, a couple of times per year at least, I always sneak over here so I can get a Cheeseburger with grilled onions and fries. The people work hard and are fast and courteous which is highly appreciated. Limited menu but what they have is quite excellent. Grilled cheese or Chicken tenders for the kiddies and a great burger at a very reasonable price. It does get a little loud in the dining area as there are usually many parents there that shove a screen in front of the kids faces without thinking about others that don't want to listen to juniors newest game. But it's still always worth it.

Flew all the way from NY to Austin TX and had a jonesin for some authentic breakfast tacos. Closest to the hotel in Buda was a few fast food joints and and a Dan's Hamburgers. At 7am there were about 10 cars online at the drive through. So I said Heck Yeah! 3 bacon, egg and potato... 3 sasauge, egg and potatoes for 12 bucks. Enough to feed the family of 4. Tacos are awesome! As good as the ones I make. So yeah 5 stars for tacos de la breakfast. Didn't try the burgers yet.

Don't sleep on their breakfast tacos. They're delicious, large, and affordable. They offer a three Taco combo for around nine bucks. The only drawback I find, is the drive-thru line is much like the Whataburger line.... It seems to take quite a while. But the food is worth it.

Stopped for breakfast. Order Omelet, hash browns and Oatmeal. All of it was made from scratch. No instant anything served here. Served fresh and warm. The business was hopping but service was spot on, friendly attentive but not intrusive. Definitely recommend to anyone and will stop in again when in the area.

A true old style diner experience. We recently discovered this place had breakfast and decided to stop in. The parking lot was full. We were seated within a few minutes and our meals came out quickly. We both had the supreme omelet and I highly recommend it. Menu is simple without a plethora of choices, I like that. Our waiter Ru was outstanding! Very cheerful, friendly, even humming and singing. He even paid for an elderly couples breakfast himself! Great food, cool atmosphere, we will be back to try their burgers soon!

One of the best burger spots i’ve been to in a while, food was great and fresh. Everything was well cooked and served well, and prices were great too. Definitely recommend the curly fries over the regular fries. The atmosphere and retro style of the place was very nice as well. Leana was also great as she took our order patiently and was very friendly and welcoming.

The food maintains a quality that I can remember from as far back as I can remember at the Lamar and Manchaca locations. Dan’s is so much more than awesome hamburgers, fries and onion rings. They have a great breakfast menu too. The service is always friendly and attentive. Of course this is not a place if you want to eat healthy. Sometimes you just need some delicious diner food! I always enjoy the ham omelette no cheese, hash browns and biscuits. My life partner always enjoys a patty melt with extra cheese, mayo and mustard. My father in law said the breakfast ham was the best he’s had in a long time. He really really enjoyed his eggs, ham, hash browns and wheat toast breakfast. Burgers are always delicious and flavorful. Excellent fries and onion rings. Don’t forget the ranch dressing.

The burgers were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, and the fries and onion rings were hot, crispy, and full of flavor. The only thing that could’ve been better were the drinks, which tasted a little watered down. Still, the food was excellent across the board, and that’s what Dan’s is known for. Great job, Dan’s - five stars for the food every time!

I’m so impressed! The burger was delicious, the pancake fresh, the eggs simple and tasty. Despite there only being one waitress and a huge line, people helping us were courteous. this place right here, dans burgers, is the elite version of 5 guys. the burgers are delicious. the meat and cheese is fresh and juicy plus the light crisp added from the buns with some regular or curly fries on the side makes this an amazing bite. the prices are very decent and doable but be prepared to order based on what you want IN the burger. the ambience is great but i have noticed the inside of the restaurant is weathered and old. a quick remodel and these burgers will definitely take over the surrounding area as the to go spot

Dan's is one of my favorite old school Austin style burger places. I don't know if Austin style is a real thing but to me it's exemplified by places like Dan's, Sandy's, Short Stop and Top Notch. Classic size, made to order, white bun and greasy. Not fancy like Hop Doddy or Shake Shack or Mighty Fine. Classic sides and one of the few places still offering curly fries. Good shakes. Haven't had the breakfast but I bet it's good. Fun diner style decor. The only downside, and I've seen this at this and other Dans locations as long as I've been here, is that they just can't seem to keep a high cleanliness standard in the dining room. Tables aren't wiped down often enough. At least they got rid of the dirty carpet in this location. So keep that in mind and stick to the drive thru if that's a concern.

Dan’s Burgers has a great old-school diner vibe that I really enjoy. The staff were super friendly, and it was nice to see someone out in the dining area picking up trays and interacting with customers. I had the double cheeseburger with grilled jalapeños—extremely juicy and flavorful, but unfortunately way too salty this time. The fries were also good—crispy and hot—but a little on the salty side as well. I’ve been to Dan’s many times, and the food is usually spot on, so I’m chalking this up to an off day.

I ordered two burgers. They mixed up the pickles onions, ketchup and tomatoes for both burgers. The morning really does look like a place that caters for people outside of my age range. Burger was pretty good curly fries, way more than you need. I did happen to have an air conditioning vent that had condensation dripping down on top of me while I was eating. I never once in a while to mess up like a ticket that says no tomatoes but a burger with tomatoes. Chalked up to just that day probably was a little off. Definitely don't mind going back.

This was my first time here. If I’m being honest, I will not come back. I paid $15.00 for a double burger, small onion rings and a small drink. I had to order at the counter and had to get up n get my food when ready. Bottom line, if you are going to charge restaurant quality food, then either give numbers n deliver to table or come to table to take orders. This meal was NOT worth $15.00. Disappointing as well, as I know it has been staple to Buda for many years. I’m sure it has to do with the rising employee wages to get people to want to work. But as a consumer I will find another place that provides a $15.00 quality meal. Sorry not sorry.

Dans- I love yall and have for at least 20 years. But handing every customer a dirty ipad for tips through the DRIVE THRU is crazy business. There’s already a tip jar if someone is feeling generous, but never in my life have I gone through a drive thru and was handed an ipad to tip after paying with my card. The ipad is disgusting to hand back and forth between people, and the greed (and audicity, honestly) is gross too.

I understand that they have to cut back on serving sizes but this is insane. To get charged $4.89 for (1) piece of crispy bacon is a joke. I remember a couple months back going and getting the same meal and getting 3.5 pcs. I won't be wasting my hard earned money with this company ever again.

Went here for the first time in a long time. We used to be regulars for Dans (mostly the S Lamar location). I got a medium hickory burger with bacon and a large drink. I didn’t order any sides. The total was almost $11 which seemed insane. I got the burger and it was smaller than I remembered. Also the person at the drive through handed me a iPad so I could tip. This was the first drive through that’s happened to me which must be new. I did give a small tip out of courtesy but this isn’t a good look. Finally the burger patties were over cooked and it had no sauce including the hickory sauce. So I didn’t even get what I ordered. It’s crazy to ask for a tip when you don’t even know at that time if your order will be right or not.

I dropped in to this place in the middle of the week on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered a burger with onion rings. I noticed not that many people were here. Was surprised at how many tables were not clean and had to hunt for a clean table. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and noticed the bathroom was messy and definitely not clean. My order did not take long and when my order number was called, I picked it up and sat down to eat. The burger was cooked nicely and tasted good. The onion rings on the other hand were not good. It looked like the onion rings were over cooked and were soaked and dripping grease. I normally don’t give bad reviews but for this place I definitely cannot recommend.

In need of repairs, maintenance and renovation. AC doesn't work well, bathrooms are not clean, ceiling tiles have mold.

Went by this morning to grab breakfast, unfortunately I had to leave when the waitress passed me up on the sign in list. Plus she did it with a smile no shame what so ever, I guess she felt like the tip would be better from a group of three instead of one Do better next time.

Most of the time I love this place. Very good for breakfast. But my hamburger meat didn't get cooked all the way. Plus the fries are soggy.

On the morning of August 8 at 8am I got threee breakfast tacos was bacon eggs cheese and hash browns well everything was under cooked the hasbrowns, the bacon and even the tortillas felt everything was just microwave into one

We waited 30 minutes for our food to be soggy, cold and disgusting. We literally for odds and ends in our backers! The manager was horrible no customer service what so ever. I will never go back to this location I’ll stick to Airport BLVD

Walked in on Sunday evening and should have walked back out! Service was awful. They forgot to make our shakes. Said they would bring them to us. Finished our burgers & still didn't get our shakes. Finally walked up and saw them sitting on the counter. No one even called them out. And the worst was how DIRTY the place was! Floors, and tables were so dirty. Stuff everywhere. Trashes flowing over. We had to clean our own table. Yuck! Won't be back there again. Go to Dan's in Austin! Much cleaner!!!
