Dan’s is so much more than awesome hamburgers, fries and onion rings. They have a great breakfast menu too. The service is always friendly and attentive. Of course this is not a place if you want to eat healthy. Sometimes you just need some delicious diner food! I always enjoy the ham omelette no cheese, hash browns and biscuits. My life partner always enjoys a patty melt with extra cheese, mayo and mustard. My father in law said the breakfast ham was the best he’s had in a long time. He really really enjoyed his eggs, ham, hash browns and wheat toast breakfast. Burgers are always delicious and flavorful. Excellent fries and onion rings. Don’t forget the ranch dressing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9/12/2025 Dan’s Hamburgers in Buda always hits the spot. We ordered a double meat cheeseburger, a small cheeseburger, large curly fries, large onion rings, and drinks. The burgers were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, and the fries and onion rings were hot, crispy, and full of flavor. The only thing that could’ve been better were the drinks, which tasted a little watered down. Still, the food was excellent across the board, and that’s what Dan’s is known for. Great job, Dan’s - five stars for the food every time!

Went to Dan’s after a Longhorn game and all the food we had was delish. Great burger, serious old style with warmed buttered bun, excellent crisp onion rings. We don’t live nearby, but this location is fantastic and we’ll be back when we head to Austin again.

First time here.. just here on business for a couple weeks. The burger was great I ordered the onion rings..I didnt care for the onion rings. The burger was fresh the vegetables on it were fresh and crisp the bun was a little hard but I still enjoyed the burger. The restaurant reminds me of a 50s type diner which I enjoy.

Dan’s Burgers has a great old-school diner vibe that I really enjoy. The staff were super friendly, and it was nice to see someone out in the dining area picking up trays and interacting with customers. I had the double cheeseburger with grilled jalapeños—extremely juicy and flavorful, but unfortunately way too salty this time. The fries were also good—crispy and hot—but a little on the salty side as well. I’ve been to Dan’s many times, and the food is usually spot on, so I’m chalking this up to an off day.

Ordered the 4 piece chicken strip basket. Got 3 strips and a nugget. Recommend giving multiple pieces if you're going to give out a tiny chicken piece. 3 star because the food is good. However, may just consider sticking to Whataburger from now on, which is right next door.

Went here for the first time in a long time. We used to be regulars for Dans (mostly the S Lamar location). I got a medium hickory burger with bacon and a large drink. I didn’t order any sides. The total was almost $11 which seemed insane. I got the burger and it was smaller than I remembered. Also the person at the drive through handed me a iPad so I could tip. This was the first drive through that’s happened to me which must be new. I did give a small tip out of courtesy but this isn’t a good look. Finally the burger patties were over cooked and it had no sauce including the hickory sauce. So I didn’t even get what I ordered. It’s crazy to ask for a tip when you don’t even know at that time if your order will be right or not.

It was a short wait this morning for breakfast. Food was good. Our waitress seemed to disappear. We needed to make a order to go. But it took forever for her to come back, we were not able to get or order. She said breakfast was over. I explained we were there early. But it didn't matter. And she did ask what we wanted to try to accommodate. We needed 1 bean and cheese and 2 sweet teas.

I dropped in to this place in the middle of the week on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered a burger with onion rings. I noticed not that many people were here. Was surprised at how many tables were not clean and had to hunt for a clean table. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and noticed the bathroom was messy and definitely not clean. My order did not take long and when my order number was called, I picked it up and sat down to eat. The burger was cooked nicely and tasted good. The onion rings on the other hand were not good. It looked like the onion rings were over cooked and were soaked and dripping grease. I normally don’t give bad reviews but for this place I definitely cannot recommend.

In need of repairs, maintenance and renovation. AC doesn't work well, bathrooms are not clean, ceiling tiles have mold.
