Let me tell you something! This place is good and fresh food ! It’s at a good price not to bad ! That atmosphere feels like I’m in a classic diner ! The only thing is there’s no waiter or server! You have to order your food and pick your food up Besides, that the food is great. Come on down and try !

Really great place for lunch. Large portions. Everything was fresh. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean and well maintained. The club sandwich combo was big enough to share. Lots of drink options and comfortable booths.

Haven't had a place like this in many many years. GREAT food ,service and very clean. Last minute choice on our trip and the best choice the hole trip. We'll be back next time we come to town. Don't change a thing.

Classic American food. I love their breakfast burritos and fried zucchini sticks. They also have great tacos, which surprises me for a diner. I went through the drive through. The employees were very friendly and had a great customer service voice.

Generous servings, onion rings, fried zucchini, and fried mushrooms are delicious 😋 So go with a few friends order your favorite sandwich, grilled cheese, or burger etc, and get different sides to share. It won't disappoint.

Finally took time to frequent this hugely popular spot. It did not disappoint. Any place that nails Biscuits n Gravy gets a 5 star from me. Generous meat and egg portions, loaded with flavor. Great coffee and service, never had to flag down for refills. Will return again for certain.

Solid, pure Americana-style diner, with a quirky bear theme. All the classics, from burgers and fries, to chicken pot pie, to fish and chips. Milkshakes and breakfast menu available any time. Something sure to please everyone. It's 2026, and who can afford to eat out at sit-down restaurants anymore? Well maybe only at places like Black Bear Diner, where they haven't caught on to the trend of ridiculous prices and shrinkflation -- let's hope they never do. ;). She was very attentive during our visit, constantly checking on us and making sure everything was perfect. She even brought us coffee herself, which was a really nice touch. This year we chose Black Bear diner for the location of our annual Chrispen Team Pumpkin Pie giveaway, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The manager Isaid was amazing from the start helping me plan the event and order hundreds of pies. The large patio provided a private and cheerful atmosphere and was the perfect spot for the event. Carlos and the rest of the staff were amazingly attentive and handled everything we needed on the day of the event. All of our clients raved about how delicious the pies were and loved the convenient location. We can't wait to come back next year!

When part of the restaurant was too loud for my wife and I, they were quick and helpful to find us a quieter spot to eat. It makes such a big difference to eat there! I don't really recommend to go here , but when you eat in restaurant, fire. My omelet was really good, the sausage patty has some of the sage flavor to it, but nothing over powering. Hollendaise sauce is perfect, not too vingery, perfect flovoring. The toastni wish was served warm or hot but I get is not practical when busy. Pancake was fire, of the best plain ones I've had-super buttermilk or sweet cream-hits my spot! They do only serve Pepsi sodas, however the Dr Pepper was a dam good Dr. Pepper-carbonation was super bubbly and had a good syrup flavor (usually Pepsi fountain sodas are really flat and syrupy tasting and I don't like them, not here). You can tell at night time they soak their fountain heads regularly and I was impressed, I rarely like anything from Pepsi products. My nephew really enjoyed his steak, they only have a serlion is the only disappointment in their steaks, I would be very happy if they served filet mignon too but not a bigger. And this is me being picky and knit picking. Was really good and I look forward to returning to eat inside the restsuarant!

We enjoy coming to Black Bear Diner every so often. It is always good. This one does tend to have a wait on Sundays at lunchtime. But it is worth the wait. Breakfast is served all day. So I got breakfast. After we left, I realized they never brought my pancakes. Oh well, I was probably better off without them.

Was in town for work and found a real gem in Black Bear Diner. From the outside it looks like a full restaurant, but inside it gives classic diner vibes—bar seating, pie displays, pass-through window, uniforms, and friendly smiles. Think Waffle House meets Cracker Barrel—that’s the vibe. I had pancakes, chicken fried steak with cheese eggs, and cheese grits. The pancakes were consistently thick, fluffy, and huge (I’ve tried them at multiple locations). The chicken fried steak was crispy outside, juicy inside, and paired perfectly with creamy grits. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was so good it made me wish I lived closer. The staff was warm and attentive, making us feel like the only table there. The GM, Isasaeed at the Buena Park, Ca location said they train their staff to make each table feel special, and Michele our server exhibited that with ease! Black Bear is expanding nationwide, and if you get the chance, treat yourself—it’s worth it for both the food and atmosphere! This place has excellent food. Breakfast foods Burgers, Steaks. Homemade desserts pies bear claws. Very clean restaurant plenty of seating. Take the whole family. They have merchandise for sale. Booths, tables or a bar style area. They also have a sun room style area to eat in. Very unique decorations inside. Log style chairs. Carvings of bears, deer antler chandeliers. Right from the get-go they have what you can see plastered all over the walls are bears, I really loved it, it was fun and if you want to bring your kids they will really enjoy it. One of the things is the food. The food is really good they have a lot of it. You can choose from a very simple breakfast, all the way to a very big breakfast full of eggs sausage, pancakes, bacon, potatoes and much more. It's family friendly and very nice. The one thing that this particular restaurant has is Vanessa! I have gone and visited several restaurants in my life and I got to tell Vanessa ranks up on top close to#1 . Vanessa got our order, brought it out fast and took care of us so we'll. Always with a smile, kindness and nicely. She made us feel really good. Next time I'm back in this area. Paul's Place in Buena Park is one of my go to spots for gourmet style fast food. The burgers are massive, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely hits the spot when you're really hungry. You have to try the fried mushrooms and zucchini. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy, fresh, and served in big portions. Everything here tastes freshly made. Only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the restroom is always dirty, which is a bummer. If you're in the area and want something fast but way better than typical fast food, Paul's Place is worth it.

Great food but telling me to celebrate my birthday at Pauls place? There are many places including Jersey Mike's, Farmer Boys, and restaurants etc that give you free food for your birthday. I'll celebrate it at those places. That being said, The quality at Paul's has always been top notch every time. 5 stars for food minus 1 for no promotions.

Hearty portions and tasty food! No host to greet customers so you stand around for a bit until someone notices you. Unfortunately, both our salads had wilted lettuce, but that was the only real blemish on the meal. Our server was a trainee and very courteous, even when he got a couple things wrong. No big deal. Never met the waiter that was supposed to be training him. I complimented the trainee to his manager, and the manager was a nice guy, too.

Got American diner food cravings and decided to try this spot. Practically empty on a Friday afternoon. Southern Scramble has a split biscuit plus sausage patties ( mild or spicy), topped with scrambled eggs egg and gravy. I asked for extra gravy too! Quite satisfying. My companion got the smaller chicken fried steak, also comes with mashed potatoes potato or salad, plus gravy. Children’s meal of macaroni and cheese plus side of cut up fruit. All the food was delicious. Maybe the service was a little slow considering it was empty but that just might be also because the waitress seems to be cleaning or refilling containers at the counter. Payment by card at table side. Kids will LOVE the teddy bears lining one wall. Of course I got my little one her own engineer bear, complete with cap and overalls.

Visiting that place is always such a joy! They serve a delightful English breakfast that I truly look forward to. I love their breakfast offerings, especially the waffles and variations of sweet treats like pancakes; they always bring a smile to my face. This time, I opted for the avocado toast, and even though it was incredibly busy—making us wait almost 30 minutes to get a table—it was still worth it. We stopped for breakfast and was not sure what this place was. It looks like a fast food place with a drive through but serves traditional breakfast. You place your order at a window and pay before getting your food. The person taking our order made two mistakes. I wanted a cheese omelet and the order taker even repeated that but charged me for a ham and cheese omelet which is what I got. It was ok but I would have preferred just the cheese omelet. The word Diner is synonymous with heart portions of delicious home cooking. Well like many things in LA this was also misleading. Food was bland and boring. The menu was vast true but if you can’t get the basics down , i’m not wasting anymore time or money on your specials. It’s no wonder this location has a lower rating than other Black Bear Diner branches. The service was terrible; even with only five tables occupied, it took 20 minutes every time I tried to get a server's attention. This was a completely different experience from other locations I’ve visited. Unpleasant service like this really ruins what would have been a good meal.
