Myungin Dumplings

I had the jumbo meat dumplings, jumbo kimchi dumplings and shrimp fried rice. They were all superb. Order ahead for pick up.

The fried chickens in this spot is probably one of the best soy garlic Korean chicken in town.

Handmade dumplings that are very large if you get the wang-mandu, which I recommend getting. Their kimchi side dish is pretty good too.

Their gangjung chicken is the best! It was very very crisp and delicious than other chicken houses I've been to! I will definitely be going back!

I'm from San Diego. When visiting my daughter, always dropping by this location. The lady are welcoming all the time with care. Foods, no doubt. See you again :)

I crave these steam dumpling multiple times a week. Get it to go and get extra pickled veggies.

Good korean dumplings! You can taste the freshness and care.

Ordered shaomai, boiled pork dumplings and fried chicken. This is probably the best dumplings I've had in California. The fried chicken had a thin batter. It was very crispy/crunchy and not greasy. Will be back again.

10/10 highly recommend their king steamed dumplings pork with veggies. I picked them up on the way home and the dumplings were still hot and delicious. The dumplings did not need any sauce either. The ladies were so sweet and welcoming. We can't wait to go back soon and try their kimchi pork dumplings and fried chicken.

Delicious dumplings and crispy chicken. Bao have a hole on top to keep the sogginess down. The kimchi pork bao has a rich flavor without a vinegar taste. A half order of chicken is well over a dozen mixed pieces, good for four. The interior is small and will have trouble sitting large parties. Still it's a great place to eat!

Let me tell you what. I don't know how they get the chicken that crispy and juicy at the same time. And it comes in a bowl full of sauce. It made me want to try all the different types of chicken they have. And the dumplings are nice and huge and fully stuffed. Service is great the food didn't take long to be done but you get sides. Kimchi, cabbage, jalapeño watermelon radish and sauce. I got the garlic sauce chicken and let me tell you how good that was that I couldn't stop eating it even tho I got full of everything else. This is such a hole in the wall that it's a must check when your out here. Thank you for the food

I stop in every time I’m working near by. The king sized kimchi dumplings are really something special. Friendly service, easy to make a pickup or wait for a togo order.

The best thing I think is the kimchi and #2 dumpling. It's not too spicy but still savory. Fried chicken was great. Family loved the beef soup. Fried rice loved by kids. It's a must try but go after lunch time rush before dinner rush so parking is more plentiful

Myungin’s dumplings are overflowing with rich, juicy filling that melts in your mouth. They were soft, pillowy, and as tender as 어머니의 사랑처럼 부드럽다 (a mother’s love). To start, my table was presented with a spicy daikon salad and a crisp shredded lettuce salad — simple, refreshing, and perfectly balanced against the hearty dumplings. The service was exceptional — kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear that this team takes pride in their food and their guests. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and handicap accessible, with a large lot offering free parking. There’s something for everyone here — from meat lovers to vegetarians — and each dish is prepared with care. I’m heading back home to Seattle this week, and I already know I’ll be longing for my return to Myungin Dumplings. Thankfully, my hotel has a refrigerator, because I fully intend to take some of these heavenly buns home with me — if they make it that far! Myungin Dumplings isn’t just a restaurant. It’s comfort, generosity, and craftsmanship wrapped in soft, steaming dough. Five stars all the way.

Amazing food as I knew it would be since Anthony Bourdain knows his spots. Chicken was CRISPY, light and not over oily. The sause was tangy and lip smacking. The dumplings were HUGE and filling. Great spot.

If I had to describe this restaurant I’d say it’s totally like a home cooked meal. It’s a welcome change when traveling! The prices are reasonable and everything is homemade based on what I’m seeing. Everything is clean and the soup is hearty. Highly recommended and will be back when I’m in the area.

The menu is small, which I feel makes the food so consistently great! Out of everything I had, and it was a lot, the fried chicken may have been my favorite! It maybe my favorite fried chicken in general now. Super impressive taste and texture. The sauce was incredible. The service was awesome. Even tho there was only one person working front of house, she checked on every table often. She even gave me tips on how to combine and enjoy my food even more! I really appreciated that 🙏🏽 I'm coming back again and again.

I have an insatiable love for traditional Korean dumplings (만두). In Orange County, there's a place that specializes in dumplings, and it has become one of my favorite spots. That’s 명인만두집. While they also serve chicken, I haven't tried it yet because I can't resist their dumplings. During my recent visit, I ordered three different types of dumplings: King steam dumplings with pork and veggies (왕만두), spicy steam roll dumplings with pork and shrimp (매운새우만두), and Korean style steam pork and veggie dumplings (한국식 왕만두). Each one was delicious in its own way, and I enjoyed them all. Spicy steam roll dumplings were little spicy for me but soon I was addicted to it. It paired excellent with Korean beer. My sister especially loved the Korean style steam pork and veggie dumplings (한국식 왕만두), as they reminded her of the dumplings our grandmother and mother used to make back in Korea. It brought back cherished memories of our past. Next time I visit, I plan to try even more varieties of dumplings they offer, as I am determined to sample all the different kinds they make. This place has truly become a delightful destination for a dumpling lover like me.

Then the dumplings came after a few minutes. We ordered shrimp and pork, shumai and fried. Both were excellent! VERY flavorful, had soft wrappers, easy to bite in half and eat. We'll definitely be back for more! Don't let this little spot slip past you!

I would have loved to order a platter of different flavored dumplings but it doesn't exist. I also would have loved if the menu included a 1/2 order of buns. As a solo diner, 12 dumplings isn't enough to fill my stomach but adding 4 buns on top was too much.

Great buns and dumplings. We have tried steamed red bean buns all over LA, Long Beach, and OC, we drive the extra 15 minutes for the huge always perfectly cooked red bean buns they have. Hughly recommend, plus they are huge. We split 1 bun for the two of us.

They have huge steamed buns for about 12.99 for 4 pcs. The buns themselves were delicious and fluffy. Shrimp tempura was delish. Kimchi on point. I took home some of the pickled radish and she packaged some more for me to take home. Loved that. I would give them a go for a bun/dumpling stop.

This restaurant has one of the best Korean King Dumplings. Tried their original and kimchee king dumplings and they did not disappoint. Price is a little steep for 4 dumplings but they are well worth it to satisfy your cravings.

Dumplings were okay. Veggie dumplings do not have much taste and no matter what type of dumpling you order that’s veggie.. they all have the same stuffing in it. Service was not nice. The ladies seem a bit rude- but not to everyone. Probably won’t visit anytime soon.

Tried this place per the overall ratings and comments. Actually quite disappointed. I ordered classic fried chicken, fried dumplings (basically pot stickers) and shrimp fried rice. Fried chicken was bland. Fried rice also not all that flavorful and had corn in it. Not a huge fan of corn in my fried rice. Fried dumplings were also just okay. Paid $52 including tax and 20% tip. Sorry but I just expected much more for $52 and the ratings. Not impressed.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I came in and the employees were sitting at the table, chewing with their mouths open. Then the food was terrible. Overcooked and bland. Finally, I go to check out and their cash register was down. They could only accept cash, which I did not have. I was in a hurry and told them I could wait about 5 minutes. Time passes, and I have to go. I gave them extra time and told them I would just come back later to pay. They then told me that the register was now working. We go to check out and, surprise, it doesn't work. I'm already running late, so I ask for my card back and tell them I'll come back later. The cashier takes my card and, without a word, leaves the building with it. I follow her out, completely confused, and I see her go into the shop next door. She's trying to charge me there. Okay, fine. But the woman working at this new place doesn't want to charge me. I'm now running 15 minutes late. I take my card and say I'll come back later, again. As I'm walking past the restaurant, the employee tells me, again, that the register is working. I ask her if it really is. She says yes. She lied. I give her my card and she, again, runs to another store. I tell her to stop and give me my card. She refused. I reached for it and she started to play keep away with my card. I'm losing my patience at this point and tell her, again, I will come back later. She says I need to give her my driver's license. I tell her that I have to drive and cannot do that. There's 5 more minutes of her refusing to give me my card and, finally, they figure out a way to charge me. This was easily the worst I have ever been treated at a restaurant. They kept me 30 minutes past my meal being completed and made me late for my appointment. The food here is bland and the workers are rude. Avoid this place at all cost.

The signage on the door where the store hours are were BLANK. I entered the restaurant because the door was open AND the "open" sign was ON. When I walked in the lady server or manager gave me an attitude and voice and just said the korean equivalent of "What do you want" in a rude tone. When I replied "Oh I wanted to sit down and eat" she annoyedly grumbled "we're not open". I just want to point out that as a first time customer entering a restaurant with the OPEN sign on and the door OPEN, it was RIDICULOUS to be met with such a terrible attitude. I don't know if she thought I was a pleasant morning doormat or something, but her attitude was terrible enough for me to write a review about it. Never coming here, never recommending, and also actually WRITE THE HOURS OF YOUR RESTAURANT, don't turn on the OPEN sign when you're not open, and maybe don't treat new customers with such a crass attitude. edit: if you look at other low star reviews you will see that this is a REPEAT problem of terrible customer service and treatment.
