Taste of Bengal is a great spot if you’re looking for authentic Bengali and Asian food. The flavors are rich, the portions are solid, and everything tastes fresh and well-seasoned. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Definitely a go-to place if you want quality food and a good experience. Highly recommend!

Real taste of Bangladeshi foods. Must try Dhakaia Beef Tehari, Haleem, Mixed Noodles & Fried Rice, Beef Curry, Butter Chicken. It was a great experience of us!! Must visit for Bengali foods.
food is amazing yall should try their roast polao and beef tehari. Its in one word you will get true authentic flavor from bangladesh. Recommended.
Very kind people. They run this place with love and respect for the flavors and food. They are open quite late so if you are in need of a bite they’re here! Food was full of flavor. And portions are very generous. I wish I had more room to taste everything on the menu!
Authentic Flavors and Warm Hospitality! Taste of Bengal is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Bengali cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The biryani is fragrant and perfectly spiced, and the shorshe ilish (hilsa in mustard sauce) was a standout dish that took me straight back to Dhaka. Their use of traditional spices and ingredients really sets them apart from other South Asian restaurants. The service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re new to Bengali food or grew up with it, there’s something here for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Bengal away from home!
Very good Bangladeshi restaurant. The food is very good, especially the Haleem. The chicken Samosa, however, was average. The That chicken soup was also amazing. The polao with roast was also very good with the serving being plentiful. The waiter was also very cordial and really helpful. Would visit again.
To start the place is decorated beautifully! And it smelt like home! 🥰 Menu has a fantastic selection, I got the chicken and mushroom curry, my bf got the paneer spinach, we both really enjoyed our food! The guys working there were very nice! I'm kinda glad my bfs usual place was closed because I really enjoyed it here!
We tried polao-chicken roast and seekh kabab. Both are very delicious . I must recommend their chicken roast-pola item ( a bit oily, though), with just$12 it is amazing. Before, I tried their chicken 65, but I didn't like the way it was prepared with mustard beans. Overall, Their kababs and roast items are musy try!
We found this place while traveling through Buffalo around 10 pm, and it was the only restaurant open until midnight. We ordered beef tehari, a chicken roast pulao combo for the kids, and beef karhai. The beef tehari was tasty and full of flavor, but the other dishes were very oily. The chicken roast did not taste like a traditional Bangladeshi roast, and the beef karhai lacked good flavor. The beef was also tough and hard to chew. The atmosphere was nice, and the washroom was clean, which we really appreciate in a desi restaurant. However, the overall food quality and taste need a lot of improvement.
We arrived very late around 11 PM and we really appreciate that they still served us. The servers were professional. Now, about the food (keeping in mind that the late hour might have affected quality): The boneless chicken biryani was a typical Indian-style biryani. The beef tehari wasn’t an authentic Bengali tehari. The beef-to-rice ratio was also quite low. Both this and the biryani had an overpowering use of kewra or rose water, which made the flavor too pungent and unpleasant. The beef boti kebab was a bit mushy and didn’t resemble traditional boti kebab, though it still tasted decent. The butter naan was good. The mango lassi was nice, but the salty lassi was essentially just raita in a glass, not what we expected. Note: We were very hungry, so I only managed to take one video for reference.
I recently dined at a new local restaurant and sampled several dishes, including naan, halim, beef tehari, mixed biriyani, and tea. The combination of naan and halim was particularly enjoyable, but the tehari was mediocre and the mixed biriyani fell short of expectations. Although the interior was impressive, I hope the restaurant will refine their cuisine to better match their prices.
3 people , the store was almost empty but it took 20 minutes for a waiter to attend to us and the food took 40 minutes to make in a dead store. The taste was below average, we ordered very spicy curry and it was mild, the inside of the store is decorated well, clean bathroom and decent parking lot but I wouldn’t come here for a second time. Also the tea is terrible.
Box of tehari is almost $17 dollars and me and friend were struggling to find any beef in our food. Almost $36 dollars with tax in the time of Ramadan you guys are absolutely horrible. If the food was even little tasty I would look the other way but I will tell all my friends not to even look at this horrible place.
Absolutely traumatizing! I went there for first time for family dinner. My brother found a huge piece of glass in his Haleem. Wanted to talk to the manager but he tried to convince me it’s very normal to find glasses in food. I was traumatized and speechless and went outside immediately. Is this something I should report?
