Always love the food & the service. Wasn't too thrilled with the atmosphere Friday night, but it wasn't their fault. Shame on the people who took their kids to a bar to be yelling & throwing the corn-hole bags against the corrugated metal wall. 😒

Absolutely amazing pizza.

The cream ale was the best we had all day - which is saying something when it's the 4th brewery of the day. Great people too - so terrific to meet everyone and Lori may be the sweetest ever. Happy 3rd anniversary and best luck! Thank you for a fantastic night

Can I give more then 5 stars? Just an amazing place. The Detroit style deep dish was spot on, hot, crispy, a little sweet and a little spicy. The loganberry ale is equally as amazing. Come in and try this place as soon as you can.

Bare bones hide-away with excellent beer and Detroit style pizza. Wide assortment of customers from hipsters to families playing cards. Plus, no blaring music. One can actually talk with the other people at the table. Please keep it Simple!

Excellent Pizza - Detroit style is the bomb! I got a gluten free pizza tonight for my celiac daughter and forgot to ask if the garlic parm sauce is gluten free! I dont know if she should eat it and she was so excited!!

The Italiano pizza is one of the best pizzas I have had in the past year. The brewery was small, and hot on the day I was there, but I would be back on a nice weather day.

John's beer is great microbrew, brewery is a fun place to hang-out with a stylish outdoor beer garden. Matt runs the food, his pizzas are the best. He DOES NOT do the Buffalo style doughy pizzas. They are Chicago tavern Style and Detroit Deep Dish. After living the area for nearly 20 years, these are the absolute best pizzas in town, in my own opinion. Also, there are non-beer options with are great too. Sometimes they have the best hard cider from Blackman's orchard there too.

You need to try this pizza. Go with a few friends order a couple different styles and watch someone with the passion for pizza that lacks in most stores. Detroit, Chicago, New York and the sleeper pick Tavern Style are all done with excellence here, you won’t be disappointed!

Great little place. I went there searching out an old Screiber beer - Manru. I wasn't disappointed. Icing on the cake was the Bar-B-Que menu that they switched to. Absolutely delicious. Had the sampler.

A small place but full of character. Other than the great beer, one of the great qualities of this brewery is the friendly staff. The bartender who helped my son and I today was great. Made sure I had a Loganberry Cream ale (which I recommend) and my son had plenty of candy. Thanks!

Outstanding Detroit style Pizza! Right downtown. Outstanding Pills to go with. The dough is fermented for 3+days for flavour you won't find anywhere else. 3 pies to choose from but get the Calabrian chili pie! Just enough Calabrian chilies, mozz, not too sweet red sauce some banana peppers and crumbled sausage that is an absolute delight. Lovely crumb with a crispy crust with just the right amount of chew. Heaven! Wash it down with one of the best Pills in the city. Look out into green space or sit on the quaint back patio. Buffalo's first pizza and brewery,all made with grace and love . Also cask ale on Friday! Hidden gem! Stay away, I want it all for myself

Stopped here on our bike ride this afternoon. Nice patio. I'm not a beer drinker so the fact that they Blackbird Cider made me happy.

Sometimes I wish the staff was a bit more talkative or helpful selecting a new beer to try when I walk in alone after work looking for a cold one. That said yea this place is amazing and if you like craft beer or pub food then you'd better make sure to try this place asap. Never had a bad experience here and if you like board games it's an extra bonus.

Our favorite brewery in the city. One of the last authentic breweries in Buffalo, with a focus on brewing good beers and a relaxing atmosphere. The patio is great on a summer or winter day. Got to grab a Pineapple Cream Ale when they have it on tap!

Low-key place with no one else there on a Saturday. The brew tender was super nice and we had a long conversation while tasting the Loganberry Cream Ale. An acquired taste for sure but when going from brewery to brewery, the variety helps.

A nice little hole-in-the-wall brewery. They offer a diverse selection of 12 brews, which is more than I’ve seen offered at bigger breweries. Bar area and tables for seating with a big flat screen TV; great for watching football! No food, but they do offer free popcorn. A quaint place that I would definitely recommend.

Love the beer from here, especially with the pre-prohibition styles . Unfortunately, we always seem to arrive after the pizza has sold out, but I guess that means we just have to show up earlier.

Really good Detroit style. The crust was crispy but light and airy. Really good pepperoni. Myself and two others were full from this six slice pizza pie. I would definitely order again......Update I tried them a second time, this time the Chicago Tavern Style w/pepperoni. It was amazing! If you like thin crust, that's the move. Picked up our first Detroit Style pizza. We picked just the cheese and pepperoni. It was very good! Dough was really good! Would have liked just a little more cheese and the amount on pepperoni I saw on other pics, but was a really good zah! Looking forward to trying the other Detroit's and then onto the Chicago!

It was so easy to give Buffalo Brewing Company & Buffalo Deep Dish 5 Stars across the board after stopping in there last Thursday. We called ahead our order, and it was easy and efficient to get our pizza and beers from the energetic, experienced staff. The Detroit Style Vodka Roni was fantastic, and just the right amount for 2 people. The beers were just as enjoyable as the pizza, and we were impressed with the significant assortment of drink options to choose from. I will certainly be back and look forward to trying a different pizza and beer combination!

I know it’s called Buffalo Deep Dish, but don’t sleep on the thin crust “tavern style” pizza. Perfect every time. Service is top notch (from both Buffalo Brewing and Buffalo Deep Dish) and even though it’s a small space, the atmosphere is great - fun and inviting.

The pizza is freaking amazing!!!! I've never had true artisan pie before and WOW, what a difference. The portion to price point is right on and the quality of ingredients is unmatched!!! I love those pizzas and I'm sure you will too!!! Word of advice: Order early to beat the crowds because this buffalo secret is getting around quick!!!

Finally tried Buffalo deep dish and it was awesome! We got the Detroit style with ricotta stars and honey. Such a great pizza! The dough is so good, we can’t wait to try more. Also picked up a 4 pack of 1826 Oktoberfest and I love it. Keep up the great work guys!

What a great place to hang out! A friend and I stopped in after attending an exhibit opening downtown. The atmosphere is friendly and the service was excellent. We started with a flight of beer. It was all delicious, but our favorite was the Pineapple Cream Ale. We also ordered the Italiano Detroit Style Pizza. It was incredible. There is nothing like it in WNY. The end crust is completely made of toasty melted cheese. The bottom crust has a slight crunch with perfect, soft, thick dough. The sauce is succulent and the toppings are generous. It's one of the best pies I've ever had. Thank you, John and Matt for making us feel at home. We will be back, SOON!

Where else can you get Detroit, Chicago and Tavern style all at one place? This place is a GEM. Matt the owner is a true pizza wizard. Guy does this for the love of pizza and it shows. If you haven't been, you are missing out.

We hosted some friends for a birthday party and got five of Matt's Detroit pizzas. My friends were blown away by how beautiful the pizzas were and even more by how good they tasted. Matt is a great guy and takes his pizza seriously...a true artisan!

Friendly staff, great beer, welcoming atmosphere. I recommend trying the Packzi stout and grabbing a menu to try the Hawaiian bbq. Pictured is the smoked chicken thigh meal (I can't remember the exact name of the food item, haha). Tender, full of aroma and flavor, and the portions may give you a second meal. 👌👍🍻

Smoked wings! All you need to know! I hesitate to use the term, "hidden gem", because it really should not be! Buffalo Brewing by far is one of the best breweries in the 716! The beers are slamming, especially the refined simplicity! You had me at dark lager! And now the addition of BBQ, smoked wings and homemade BBQ sauces, get down here NOW and enjoy the beer garden while the weather is nice. My only complaint is I can only give 5 stars but that's a Google thing!

Absolutely incredible experience to end our Niagara Falls day trip! We were blown away by how amazing the food was—definitely the highlight of the day. What used to be a pizza place is now a BBQ spot with fantastic food and a great selection of hot sauces and beer. The smoked cream cheese with pepper jelly and the candied bacon were unreal, and all the meats were perfection—especially the smoked sausage, brisket, and burnt ends. They had a fun twist on cornhole as a drinking game, and even our kid got to join in with a great glass-bottled soda selection. Super family-friendly atmosphere, and the cook even came out to chat with us, which made it feel extra welcoming. To top it all off, I accidentally left my phone wallet (with cash) on the counter, and one of the staff members went out of their way to find and return it to me untouched. That kind of honesty and service is rare and so appreciated. I don’t write reviews often, but this place was epic. Highly recommend!

The brisket sandwich was absolutely impeccable, you cannot miss it without the loganberry sauce, Allen sauce, and the birch beer hot honey sauce, even the sliced pickles and I’m not even a pickle guy (pickles are on side so you can put them on if you want too) Everything homemade and just amazing. The best beer in town and that is for damn sure!!! Hands down the best brewery and bbq food in the city of Buffalo. Plus they even have board games to play and there’s a very awesome selection of games. Definitely an awesome place to celebrate Buffalo’s brewing history and enjoy some delicious food and the best beer in town. Also two nice sized TVs and a projector for the football games! Best food in the city that will keep you full for under the price of a McDonald’s meal.

Went here for our anniversary. My husband and I absolutely loved the Detroit pizza...it was out of this world. I mean really you need to order the Detroit pizza 10000%. The Chicago was good but too saucy and cheesy for our taste. The pineapple cream ale is where it's at!!!! Amazing!!!! Coming back soon :)

Decided to have dinner at this place night, 10/10 would recommend! Quiet and cute, but no AC on hot nights just to forewarn. Anyways! The loganberry ale I tasted was delightful. The chicken finger pizza was AMAZING! The hot sauce is so good I could drink it, literally! There are plenty of board games to play too! The service was great, just 2 easy going guys who clearly take pride in what they do! We will definitely be returning to try other pizzas. P.S the Detroit style pizza might look small coming out of the oven but it is MIGHTY! Took some leftovers home

WOW, a true triple-threat: spectacular pizza, beer, and atmosphere. Stopped in with my family to their spacious, including our doggo and 2 young kiddies - unpretentious, welcoming neighbourhood-style hangout that just happens to have killer beer (seemingly more focussed traditional European styles - I had an excellen Oktoberfest lager as well as Czech-style pilsner) and pizza (loved the Detroit style Italiano and Tavern style Chicago). John (brewer) and Matt (pizzaiolo) are both on top of their game and a delight to talk to. Buffalo is truly lucky to have this gem.

If you're a beer kind of beer person this is the place for you. Sure they have an IPA and a fruited beer but the specialty here is lagers and pilsners and other old-world styles and boy do they have it figured out. Best Vienna lager I've had outside of Old Bust Head back home in VA and crisp beers across the board. The brewery is a little small but the outdoor patio space is great. To top it off the staff is top notch, friendly, and super knowledgeable about what they're serving.

This is a great place. I was so disappointed to learn Pizza is no longer served here. They now serve BBQ. The Coleslaw and Baked beans were excellent. There is a plethora of bbq sauces to choose from with some made in house and with beer. The beer here is delicious too, with many varieties to choose from. I enjoyed the friendly service , open air window , and the large back patio. It didn’t have a lot of places to lock up bicycles. It’s wheelchair accessible.

All you see mentioned online is pizza, pizza, pizza. What don't they serve anymore? Pizza. So, had to decide what we wanted on their present menu, or leave. Ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich and 3 sides, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and coleslaw. Food was good, but not sure if we'd go back, mainly because it's all meat selections except for the sides. They do have some good beer choices, and huge chocolate chip cookies on the counter.

Got a pizza last weekend and it was just ok. Not enough cheese and the sauce had a canned taste.

I’m sorry to say that the beers here are mediocre at best. The Czech Pilsner and Vienna lager were off and everything else was not to my liking. The tap room is tiny and not family friendly at all. The bartender did not seem at all interested in being there let alone discussing the beer.

I don't drink. I was told thw beer wasn't good. The pizza was OK. It's a very tiny place. Cute though. Edit- I was being kind pizza wasn't good. Sorry.

We came here for late lunch before Sabres game. It’s disappointing that they no longer have pizza available. Instead, they have Hawaiian BBQ. We ordered three short rib dishes, one ahi pole, one teriyaki chicken and three spam Musubi. The ribs were flavorful but too salty. Some pieces were over-grilled and burned. Teriyaki chicken was tasty. Ahi poke was average. Spam Musubi had too much rice. For drinks, we tried three different ones. Sour Ale was good but IPA was average. We also ordered canned pineapple juice (one of the few NA options). The POG juice didn’t really have much guava flavor. Overall, it’s not my choice for food and drinks when I’m in the area again.

I tired this place again after a year hoping that it had changed. The 5 beers I tried were all equally horrible and the place smelled like a sewer. The staff were nice and the place is kind of cool though.

Our friends were visiting from out of town, and we were excited to have lunch here since we’d been looking forward to trying it. When we arrived, we were surprised not to see a pizza menu, especially since Google shows numerous photos of deep-dish pizzas. When I asked the cashier/bartender if there was a pizza menu, they responded firmly, without looking at me, “WE DON’T HAVE PIZZA.” I was taken aback and confused because of the photos online. Thinking maybe pizza was served on another side of the building, I asked again and received the same response in the same tone: “WE DON’T HAVE PIZZA.” It was repeated multiple times without any explanation, which felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Thankfully, the cook/server stepped in and kindly explained that they stopped serving pizza two years ago and now focus solely on Hawaiian cuisine. He also mentioned that the owner has been trying to remove the pizza photos from Google because other customers have been confused as well. The fact that he noticed what was happening and stepped in to explain things calmly and politely showed that it could have been handled that way from the start. I understand that answering the same question from customers can be frustrating, but a simple explanation like, “We used to serve pizza, but now we only serve Hawaiian,” would’ve been far more helpful and appropriate. Five stars for the cook/server, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He almost saved the experience, but the initial interaction ultimately ruined it for us.

Stopped here on a big trip for New York - disliked this place the most. Dude working today on July 15th started the experience by insulting me and my girlfriend for no reason. Beers fine though.

Purchased some "new" fermentation tanks from Buffalo Brewing Company in December. We drove out from Chicago to pick them up. When unpacking the contents and assembling, we found several missing and damaged pieces. Reached out multiple times via phone, email and text with no response for resolution. We are currently pursuing legal action. Bad business ethics and a shame to the brewing community.

I love reviews and base much of our travels around places Ive read about. We left Niagara Falls at 7:30 after traffic and getting gas. We made it to this quaint little spot at 8:45. They close the grill at 9pm. Yet stated they had ran out of pizza (?) for the day. Uhg! There were absolutely no patrons there. None!!! No one drinking the amazing lager, pilsner or any IPA. The disappointment was completely disheartening. I guess the best thing to do would be to call and verify they are keeping the grill open, they have food and will be serving on the day you may want to go.
