Amazing!!! So glad we found this place, while we're not in the area often, we often have our dog with us when we're visiting, so finding dog friendly establishments can be tough. Resurgence was beyond dog friendly (they even have bowls for them right at the bar!) They were extremely people friendly as well! The hostess went out of her way to order us food because it was very busy and she knew we still had to drive back home so she didn't want us to have to wait. We ordered a ton of food too because it all looked so good! Not a crumb went home, it was all just too good! Best fried pickles ever, excellent Mac&cheese, kid's chicken fingers were devoured, as well as our burgers. Love that the sweet potato fries came with honey! Tried their seltzer flight too and can't pick a favorite, they were all delicious! We'll definitely be back!!
Christine and Bria were absolutely fantastic at the doorway counter. Scott made our experience one that will make us return!
Really impressed with their new location - it looks amazing! Definitely kept the industrial vibes from their old location but included modern touches that are really well executed! Love the various spaces such as the indoor beer garden and outdoor alleyway with fire pits. I would definitely recommend trying the tacos!
Great atmosphere and Christine gave a fantastic tasting and Karley was the best server and so attentive!
The staff at Resurgence went above and beyond on our special day. It was very special to us because we actually met there. Our decorations were set up perfectly and we didn’t have to worry about prepping the space at all. We also made custom beer labels with our dog on them and they turned out absolutely perfect. Brigid was an amazing coordinator and very responsive to any questions and concerns that we had. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
resurgence brewing company is the best choice that we could have made when picking a venue for our wedding. Connor and Brigid were so wonderful to work with and they were so helpful along the way. Brigid is understanding and will do whatever she can to make sure your wedding goes the exact way you picture
Great place, people, & drinks! Such a beautiful & big space from the dining room to outside section. Each beer is great & the food is fantastic. Highly recommend this brewery to everyone!
Christine came around with tastings and the barrel aged beers were delish! Brussels sprouts are amazing! Carly our waitress was top notch!
Resurgence is fantastic! We've been there a few times and highly recommend it! The Cajun BBQ Chicken Wrap is delicious! The tap list is constantly changing, with something for everyone, from sours to stouts. Usually it's too hard to choose and I have to get a flight! 😃 Resurgence is definitely worth checking out. You won't be disappointed!
Christine was awesome. A great ambassador for the brand. She listened, was cordial, and enjoyed the conversation. We will come back because of Christine.
Fantastic space, totally worth the wait for this to open. You walk into a dog-friendly patio before getting to 2 bars and tons of tables inside. Continue past the bar to be sat by a host and have a view of the brewing equipment. All the staples are on draft, with room for plenty seasonal and special-edition beers. I had the peach-grapefruit hibiscus sour and a spent grain pretzel — both of which were delicious.
THE BEST FRIED PICKLES! I am not crazy about fried pickles but when they told me that they make their own pickles in house I had to try them and they did not disappoint! The flavor is so amazing and the dipping sauce compliments it very well. My husband loved the beer and they made me an old fashion with their neighboring distilleries Rye. But if u go and you like fried pickles, try theirs.
I asked my girlfriends dad for his blessing to marry his daughter here. He ordered us two old fashioneds, and the bartender told us they were out of oranges. He said “this is an important drink!” and the bartender went next door to grab us an orange. It was a very nice effort, and made all the difference in creating a lasting memory. And it was the best old fashioned I’ve ever had ❤️
We had our wedding here in June, and it was absolutely perfect. Brigid was AMAZING from start to finish—so organized, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The upstairs space was set up beautifully, exactly how we envisioned it, and the entire day felt effortless thanks to her and the team. The food was incredible—our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was! So many people also commented on how stunning the venue looked. We can’t recommend this place enough for any special event!
Of all the breweries I went to in Buffalo, this was my favorite. They had a wide selection, and all three of the beers I had very vastly different and excellent. I did not have any food though, so I can not comment on that. The vibe was nice, and I am very excited to come back and visit some day.
Christine was wonderful with her offerings of tasty beers and showed us the Toast app to get rewards!! Will return!
Add a great time at resurgence, did beer tasties all delicious. Christine came over and gave us tastements of different vodkas and beers very much fun chatting with us Nice atmosphere.
Amazing Great food and people. Christine is amazing having us experience different drinks and explaining everything. Very knowledgeable.
I was lucky to have my wedding here in October of 2025. Brigid, Nathan and the rest of the staff did an excellent job making my wedding day as smooth as possible. The communication leading up to my wedding day was also very great. My wedding guests loved the venue and loved the food and drink options as well.
We stumbled across this place based on reviews and we can confirm it’s worth all of the hype! Christine came over for an impromptu tasting with us and we ended up chatting with her for the majority of our stay. Resurgence knew what they were doing when they hired her!! We hope to see her and Resurgence at The Great American Beer Fest next year!
Resurgence brewery is beyond amazing! We come up from Erie Pa often and we don’t leave resurgence out of the loop…. The staff is unreal. Paulo and Christine make us feel at home every time we walk in the door! We truly feel like we are part of the regular crowd! A+ beer and service!!!
Amazing drinks, amazing vibey atmosphere that’s laid back and kid friendly too. The owner brought us drinks to taste and chatted with us for a while. She was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and the process to make them. She was passionate about the business and made the experience really pleasant for us! This is our second time in Buffalo before a concert and we came back because of how convenient the location is! Will come back again and again!
We always love Resurgence beer but Chris makes our experience even better. She is not only knowledgeable but she is sweet as ever. She turned us on to a new beer that might be a new favorite
Resurgence is strategically located in the historic Old First Ward just on the fringe of downtown Buffalo. It is a sizeable working brewery that is chic and inviting. It spans two stories with seating throughout. There is a patio with fire pits where you can sit and relax, while enjoying your favorite brew. They have a nice selection of beers to suit everyone's palette. For those who do not want beer, there are wine and mixed drink options. Always worthy of a stop! UPDATE: We have been here multiple times now and enjoy it every time. Consistent!
One of my favorite breweries! The free parking makes it super convenient & the beer is amazing. Christine was so sweet letting us try a bunch of new beer!
Went here for the first time recently with my husband and we loved it! Great atmosphere, awesome staff and great beer selections. Food menu was also awesome, we got the hot honey mustard wings, burger, and chicken sandwich. Everything tasted great. They also had beer that was unique and fun flavor profiles! We would definitely go back.
I remember going to their old location and they have out done themselves with the new. Outdoor and indoor seating. Perfect place for a hang out, happy hour, parties or events. So many beers and cocktails to choose from and the food is delicious. Most recent time visiting, we had the stuffed banana pepper dip and chili Brussel sprouts. Sooo good. Highly recommend visiting if you are a buffalo local or visitor.
Resurgence did a fantastic job for my wedding. The venue is spacious and decorated perfectly for the style wedding my husband and I wanted. The employees were so friendly and helpful with me. My event coordinator, Brigid was so responsive to me throughout the whole planning process and took care of all the details I asked for. My wedding guests had a blast. It was a perfect night. Highly recommend!
We came here before Paul McCartney at Key Bank center. The beer was amazing. Christine offered us tastings and was a delight! I will come back!
One of my favorite stops for a few pops in the Buffalo area! I always enjoyed the original location on Niagara Street, and was sad to see it go. Great inside vibe, and a great patio. The new location on Ohio Street, however, is amazing. Nice outdoor patios, a 2-level beer garden, and a massive brewery all located within a modern/restored old brick structure. So the atmosphere is really nice. The food is surprisingly good; I often opt for one of their burgers. The beer selection is solid year round. A few of my favorites include Bridge Pilsner (easy to drink), their seasonal Octoberfest is very tasty, and is a unique take on the Fall favorite, Sponge Candy Stout is a nice darker beer that is not too sweet, and my all-time favorite: Peanut Butter Porter - absolutely delicious! So I always seek it out when it is on tap, usually during the Fall/winter months. Occasional opportunities for great live music, including The Strictly Hip (indoors/upstairs) and Aqueous (outside, during their summer concert series). Comfortable and fun place to hang out - always looking forward to my next visit.
If you’re in the area come in and try this place! Food was fantastic in a great atmosphere. Make sure you chat with Christine while you’re here! She will make your day I promise!!! On a side note I am celiac and had a great meal here. Burger with a gluten free bun was delicious. The cider options are fantastic. Nice to be able to go to a brewery again!!!!! Thank you!
Great brewery with a lot of IPA and Sour options. Brunch on Sundays is nice and daughter had the French toast and she said it was really good. The poutine and fried cheese curds weren't bad either. Son had the kids cheeseburger and enjoyed it. I had the Cajun chicken wrap and it was outstanding. Wait staff was absolutely slammed with multiple events but they were friendly and explained that the best approach was likely going to be to order at the bar and then go sit down and enjoy the food/drinks. We spent a couple hours hanging out drinking, eating and chatting with friends and family and had a good time.
We come from Ohio every year for Thanksgiving and our trip wouldn’t be complete without stopping at Resurgence. Chris is the absolute best! She always is so knowledgeable about the samples she’s pouring! She is a true beer lover and it shows! Always a great experience.
FAVORITE brewery in Buffalo! We stopped at Resurgence during a brewery tour of the Buffalo area. We were seated outside on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Our server, Allison, was phenomenal. We tried flights and were EXTREMELY impressed with the beers. We ordered snacks to share and enjoyed the food. Overall, Resurgence had the best combination of great tasting beers and quality food. Highly recommended!
My favorite brewery to visit when I'm in buffalo. Service is always exceptional, Beer is always cold, and the food is fast, and very solid. Highly recommend Resurgence if you're ever in the area for a concert, date night, or just wanted to try a new brewery.
Very cool reclamation project, and aptly named. Not a traditional sit down restaurant. It's Bar service on a grand scale. Plenty of beers to choose from. Food was very good. A bit pricey, I'm still not comfortable with a burger and fries costing $16. But the business model seems to be working for them.
Gavin and Christine were amazing!!! The most amazing hospitality, great customer service service and encouraging of the best time! Take advantage of the bottomless mimosas!
This is our go-to place when we visit Buffalo. The atmosphere is awesome, the food is amazing, and the beer is fantastic. The highlight of our visits is reconnecting with Christine, beer docent extraordinaire. We always enjoy our chats with her. Looking forward to our next visit.
Wonderful IPA Loved the house salad & wings with habanero sauce. Great service and environment.
This place is always great. I love almost all their beers. The beer cocktails shouldn't be dismissed. You'll run into the occasional snooty bartender, but they can be avoided on the next order. It is bar food, but it is really good bar food. They make it easy and I would recommend
Had a wonderful time here with my friends! This was my first time to Resurgence and I was impressed. I've had a few of their drafts before, but it was nice to see where the magic happens. Staff was very friendly (I wish I got our bartender's name, he was great!) and helpful, food was good, brews were GREAT, and the place was clean. I had the Ward sandwich, fries, and MVP wings, all of which I would eat again. The Loganberry Wit was great! Good balance of tart and sweet. Another Caucasian Gary was wonderful - very sweet, so this is more of a "dessert" beverage. By far, my favorite was the Surge! It will be my beer of the summer - very crisp and refreshing. I will be back next time I'm in the area.
Had the best experience here today. We stopped in to try a flight of beers and ciders while snacking on some AMAZING banana pepper dip! Christine was there giving out samples and helping us figure out what 4 pack we were going to bring home. Spent a great time with the staff chatting and learning about Resurgence's history. It was fantastic!
Went in for a quick bite to eat… food was great, as always. We were fortunate enough to meet their brand ambassador, Christine… let me tell you, she was one of the kindest, most likable person we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. We talked for at least 20 minutes, and enjoyed every minute of it. This place is great before and after Sabres/Bandits games a really just any time. We often bring our dog and enjoy evenings in their courtyard with her. If you’re looking for a great place with amazing beer, this is it!
into Resurgence Brewing Company with the same feeling you get when Notre Dame football is about to kick off — confidence, tradition, and that quiet belief that they put together something solid again. No gimmicks, no panic, just a program — and a kitchen — that knows who it is. That’s exactly how this meal started. Let’s talk about the headline play: the $7.16 classic cheeseburger. That price feels like a Notre Dame football folk tale, but it’s real — and more importantly, they put together a burger that just works. Juicy patty, cheese melted perfectly, bun holding everything in place like a well-coached Notre Dame offensive line. No flash, no overthinking it. Just execution. Notre Dame football on a plate. The fried pickles came out as the appetizer and immediately felt like special teams excellence. Crunchy, salty, addictive — the kind of detail that shows they put together the whole experience, not just the main attraction. Every strong Notre Dame football team has those overlooked units that flip momentum early. These fried pickles did exactly that. The entire time I’m eating, I’m thinking about the upcoming Notre Dame football team and how they put together this roster with patience and purpose. That same energy is all over Resurgence. They trust fundamentals. They trust depth. Notre Dame folk get this — we value consistency over chaos, development over hype. This burger is a 10–11 win season kind of meal. Reliable. Physical. Shows up when it’s supposed to because they put together something balanced and disciplined. No fourth-quarter collapse, no regret after the check comes. By the end, it felt like watching Notre Dame football take care of business — not flashy, just effective. You leave full, satisfied, and already thinking about coming back. Resurgence Brewing Company nailed it because they put together the kind of meal that Notre Dame folk respect: tough, traditional, and quietly elite. ☘️🍔
We came down to Buffalo from Canada and stopped in to Resurgence prior to heading to the Bandits game. We ordered wings and a bunch of apps to share. The food was all great. Beer was also very good - we tried a variety of options on tap. We were also lucky enough to be visited by Christine who went above and beyond, sampling some of the great seasonal beer options. Highly recommend stopping in here if you get the opportunity
We recently hosted our end-of-semester School Psychology graduate holiday party at Resurgence Brewing, and it could not have been a better experience! From start to finish, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebratory gathering. Tom, the manager, was absolutely outstanding. He worked closely with us to create a very reasonable and graduate-student-friendly pricing plan for appetizers, which we greatly appreciated. His communication was prompt, helpful, and friendly, and he made the entire planning process seamless under short notice. Throughout the night, he checked in to see how the event was going and whether our experience was going great. The whole team went above and beyond! The space itself was extremely clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, creating an ideal spot for our students to relax and enjoy the evening after a demanding fall semester. The food was excellent, the staff was attentive, and everything ran smoothly thanks to their organization and professionalism, lead by Tom. We also had a great server, but I could not get the name and the new host at the stand who was learning her position was already exceptional at it! Our server was friendly, prompt, and voluntarily came over and offered to take pictures of our graduate students. It was so nice of them to be so attentive and to help! We are so grateful for the hospitality and couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our end of the year holiday get-togerther for our school psychology students. We highly recommend Resurgence Brewing for group events, celebrations, or a great night out in Buffalo! Thank you to Tom and the whole Resurgence team from making it a memorable night. As a professor, I could not have asked for a better event and seeing our students so happy and made my night. I am sure we will be back!
Hosting our wedding reception at Resurgence is one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the very beginning, the events staff at Resurgence took so much of the stress and guesswork out of the planning process. Their events packages include everything that you need and are designed to make wedding planning streamlined and worry-free. Brigid handled every single detail of our wedding day to perfection - we honestly couldn't have pulled off our vision for our day without her. She responded to every message we sent her nearly instantly and handled any question or request we had for her. Both Brigid and Conner were extremely accommodating to us during the planning process and made us feel confident and prepared every step of the way. In the days before/after the wedding, the staff set up and broke down all of our decor for us and made it look even better than we had planned. The space itself is gorgeous and needs very minimal decor to look stunning. The dual entree plated dinner package was an awesome option for us, and our guests raved about the food. There were plenty of options to pick from to ensure that our guests' dietary restrictions could be accommodated. We can't recommend Resurgence enough - it's centrally located, easy for guests to get to, very fairly priced, and has a staff that can execute every detail to make the day perfect. (As a side note, we got super lucky - Resurgence's Brightside seltzers were released just a few weeks before our reception and were available for the open bar. They were a total hit with us and our guests, and our wedding album basically looks like an ad for them.)
Came here from being out of state with my friends because I liked the logo. Really enjoyed the beer and ciders. What made our experience even better was talking with Christine who is one of the sweetest women I've ever met. She sampled us some other good beers and ciders while also giving us recommendations for other breweries to try. I would definitely recommend.
Had my husband's 50th birthday party there in the indoor beer garden. We had about 30 people attending. The staff was very accommodating, with special thanks to Thomas and Cameron. The food was good and the drinks even better. Highly recommended. We come there often and have nothing negative to say.
We were treated to a wonderful tasting by the most lovely woman named Christine. She was a great ambassador for not only Resurgence, but the local craft beer industry in general! We left with a must try cider named Ghost Lantern, that has a perfect blend of smooth sweetness and a warm finish. We're hooked!
Stopped down today and this foggy day wile in town visiting . I enjoy that there was plenty of Free parking in the Side parking ! This was a return visit. Always Great Beers & Food ! Friendly staff ! I met Christine who was doing tastings and she brought over a few beers for me to taste . She has great beer knowledge and gave a better explanation of the rewards program and the Local Toast App the tips were helpful . I definitely will be back !
We had our small, very intimate wedding here in December - it was absolutely perfect! The staff made the entire process a breeze. We were able to take a tour of the upstairs event space beforehand, set up decor just before the ceremony, and the staff took care of the rest. The food stations were a hit and our bartenders were as kind and patient as ever. Especially thankful for the staff member who took the time to set aside a small plate of hors d’oeuvres for my husband and I since we missed out while busy chatting with our attendees. The atmosphere and picturesque architecture made our photos look gorgeous. Highly, highly recommend!!
We held a Celebration of Life for my Mom this past Sunday in the upstairs portion of Resurgence. The experience was seamless and easy from start to finish. I worked with Conner, and he was incredibly helpful and efficient in getting the celebration set up, organized, and arranged—despite the fact that I reached out only 2-3 weeks in advance. On the actual day of the celebration, the workers and bartenders were so kind, helpful, and efficient. I got the charcuterie table, and the setup was beyond beautiful. Every person that came commented on how stunning and unique the venue was. For all that we received, I also found the price for the celebration to be extremely reasonable and affordable. The industrial feel with the string lights and curtains made for such a beautiful and welcoming space. My whole family was so pleased, and we really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and place to celebrate my Mom. Thank you so much!
Enjoyed the open atmosphere. Inside and outside options were both good. Food was good. Average menu options. The atomic burger was good. I thought the habanero relish was really good. The pickled jalapenos looked like they were only fresh sliced, nothing special there. The french fries were excellent. They have a wide variety of specialty drinks (mostly beer based) that were very original. Great place for some conversation with friends and family.
The service was great, the staff sipper friendly, and the food delicious. Expect to pay about $30 per person if you only get one beer. I had the Chicago Street burger, Mum had the coconut shrimp and we both enjoyed our meals, delivered to the courtyard seating at the perfect time. We both had the Buffalo Forever IPA (our favorite beer to share and compare), which wasn't as bitter/ sharp as we normally prefer, but did pair well with the food. The menu is on the website of you want details. Only downside, there was a lovely breeze, but in the courtyard are some decorative hay bails and pumpkins, and the sweet, loamy scent of the hay tainted the taste of the food. We moved just inside, escaping the smell, but kind of missed the breeze. Still, overall great experience.
We stopped by for a late dinner after a long drive on a Saturday and boy was this place busy. It’s a large building with an outdoor area but it was packed. I believe there may have been a birthday party and a wedding reception or something going on. With so many people packed in there, it was quite loud inside so you had to yell in order to have a conversation but it definitely had a very fun, upbeat vibe. The tap list was extensive and both the Shower Shower and the Vanilla Cappuccino Pumpkin Ale were down right delicious. I didn’t get a picture but the burger and fries were very good. Docking a star because there was a sign at the entrance that instructed us to wait for the hostess to be seated, after standing around waiting for 10 minutes we gave up and ordered from the bar. They were also out of steak. Ordering was quick and the food came out fast. Overall, a good experience.
Resurgence Brewing Co is a very nice place to visit for a good craft beer and some excellent grub. We stopped in to try our luck on some of the craft beers and a late lunch. Although they were relatively busy the bar tender Chris was very welcoming and helpful with getting us served and even answering questions regarding their current pours. We placed an order for food and unfortunately a portion of the order was messed up. It very well could have been due to them being busy but what was worse was the time it took to fix it. The mishap was cheese in one of the orders for someone who does not eat dairy products. THEY HAVE FRIED PICKLES! Yes for a starter we tried them out and man I have to say they are well worth it. Made with a thin batter and fried to a perfect crisp not under or over done and they come with a very good somewhat tangy sauce that made the dish great. Burgers! Yeah they have them too and I chose the Chicago Street Burger with Bacon. It was cooked to perfection and comes with a side of wedge fries that was a good portion and were done perfect. Open Face Chicken Parm Sandwich. Jen chose this full 3 course sandwich for a lunch not knowing it could easily be 2 meals. She did say it was very good and filling. Cajun Chicken BBQ wrap was Kelly's choice and although it states it comes with Cheese she specifically asked for no cheese. This is where the mishap came into play. Mistakes happen, but the downfall for it was the length of time to replace it. In the end she said it was very good and would order again if we come back.
Resurgence Brewery on the Buffalo waterfront is a gem tucked inside a beautifully restored old industrial building. Conveniently close to both the freeway and downtown, it’s an easy stop whether you’re local or just passing through. The brewery offers a distinct variety of craft beers, ranging from unique flavor profiles to classic styles, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts of all tastes. The space itself is thoughtfully laid out, with a nice division between seating areas, giving each section its own vibe. The bar areas are a highlight, showcasing the backdrop of the brewery tanks where all the magic happens. Upstairs, there’s a spacious banquet area perfect for larger gatherings or events. I tried a couple of tasting flights along with items from the bar menu, and everything hit the mark. With the combination of atmosphere, variety, and flavor, Resurgence Brewery is definitely a place I’m eager to return to.
We came here before a hockey game. Packed location with nice festive vibes. Workers were friendly though they could've used one more bartender for the two bars they have. Beer was great. Wings and fried cheese curds were good. Mac and cheese had a bit too much liquid that made the dish like soup. They had a cool photo station where you can take a group pic and send it to yourself. Looking forward to trying their other beers next time I'm in town.
Bartenders were fast and beers were cold Food was good, but pretty average. The order of cheese curds seemed a little small for the $$$ There was a lil indoor water feature flowing from under the kitchen into the hallway where the bathrooms are located though
There was 7 of us there today and Carly C was wonderful checked on us often and very friendly! The RBC burger was good but a bit over cooked for myself and another guest. I brought home the Mac and cheese with Fried chicken which is cold now so we haven’t yet tried that. My complaint is the words Fried Chicken??? What you receive is cut up chicken finger. Please make this clear on your menu, that is not fried chicken.
Great atmosphere. Great beer...Shayna did a good job dodging the kitchen falling short back to back. Dear "chef" the food was awful. The beef on weck wings were the highlight of a party of 5's food. The blue cheese tasted like a Ken's ceaser dressing with crumbles (🤮 not successful) MAYO.... haha hardly it was egg whites and oil hold the yolk, and other components to complete the recipe. The beer bbq sauce on the side tasted like jelly with a touch of coffee/bbq not like the wings. The pretzel, burger, chicken sandwich, pickle wing, pulled pork, and the deviled eggs all fell short of our lowest expectations. I'm from Buffalo, I eat everywhere local and support local hardcore from Amys, to swan st. Diner to Riverworks all the way up to lombardo's and Olivers. I have never been let down in the dining atmosphere so bad since the warehouse on McKinley. That's bad trust me. I would NOT reccomend this place for food to anyone local or visiting sadly. And I love supporting local. Please revamp, revise and reconstruct and let your menu flourish. Its so close to being unique and successful too.
Went for NYE and was great except for the upstairs DJ forgetting to count down AT ALL. No five minute warning. no 10 second countdown. not even the advertised champagne toast? for a $90/person event for NEW YEAR’s EVE, you can’t mess that up.
Most horrible food I have ever experienced, not only was my smash burger (Dirty Mike) burnt, the fries were COLD!!! The best thing that night was the Brussel sprouts. I felt so disgusted 🤢 literally gave the rest to my dog
