This has an amazing outdoor space to enjoy a cocktail and some great pizza. The space is lively and allows for easy conversation among your group. The cocktails are refreshing, we enjoyed the Pimm's Cup and an ice cream sandwich this visit.

Absolutely amazing!! So delicious 🤤 the wings were some of the best ive ever had and the pizza was BOMB and loaded with flavor. I got the moscow mule as well and even that taste better than any other mule ive had!! Quick service, fresh hot food with quality ingredients, great atmosphere both indoors and out. This is the place!!

We were in the area and stopped by for a casual mid week dinner. A change since we have last been here is that the service model has changed to more fast casual. The menu is the same but now you order your food and drinks at the bar and someone brings your food to your table when it’s ready. It wasn’t busy when we came and this was fine for us. The food here is always good, today was no exception. We both ordered pizza. The chicken pesto for him, he said it was good, and had plenty of fresh ingredients. I tried the gluten free crust on the mushroom truffle pizza. The gluten free crust was not bad, good flavor and decent texture. I’d describe it more like a flat bread. There was a wonderful amount of truffle oil/ flavor and a generous helping of arugula, mushroom and cheese. It was a nice and light pizza, kind of like a salad. I liked it and would recommend and order it again. If you are in the mood for gourmet pizza and cocktails check this place out!

Really good pizza! At least nine different ice cold beers on tap and at least six handmade cocktails, and two alcoholic slushie drinks. Such a cool outdoor dining area, quick service too. Self seating and walk up bar to order drinks and food.

Hydraulic hearth is so good, I feel like I’m cheating on the restaurant if I eat out at another spot while in town. They have really inventive events like one I went to in the summer was Luau themed. Each time I visit, I get a new cocktail and I always end with The Root. On Saturday I tried the bacon and Brussels pizza. Such a good combination. I also had their chicken and waffles pizza. I liked it but thought the waffles were a bit soggy. Such a great place in Buffalo for a night out and they also have free parking.

2026 UPDATE: The pizza was delicious and the drinks were made to perfection by the master mixologists that they have working at HH! Trendy location located in the heart of the Larkinville area. Great wood oven fired pizzas and craft cocktails. Nice selection of local beers as well. Nice sized patio with outdoor seating available. They are very COVID19 protol compliant. Currently no waitresses/waiters. There is a single line that forms in line with the side patio exit door, behind the circle on the floor. When its your "turn", go to one one of the open bartenders. Masks worn at all times if not sitting etc. Always a good sign when the restrooms are spotless. It generally means the rest of fhe place is clean too. Certainly worthy if a trip!

A group of 8 of us came for some Tom & Jerry's which were good and ended up getting a table for dinner. My smash burger and my wife's pizza were solid but the the ordering food and drinks at the bar and lack of server was odd.

Great food and good drinks. The crispy cauliflower is amazing. The banana pepper dip cannot be described fairly, you really have to try it. Pizzas are fabulous! They have a wide selection of top shelf liquor and what I was told, were some pretty good beers.

Looking for a good place to hang out and wet your whistle? Than Hydraulic Hearth is the place. The Bartenders are very friendly, and are up to creating new drinks for your enjoyment. Since Covid, you come and choose wherever you want to sit at. Upon entering the hostess gives you a menu, and gives you the what’s what about the restaurant. To your left they sell specialty drinks, some condiments, and merchandise. Chicken wings- good sized wings.. I would like them more crispier though Fried cauliflower- first few bites were good. But then you get tired of the greasy taste of fried food. Salad- very very good and refreshing Pepperoni pizza (not shown)- very good pizza, especially the crust Mozzarella sticks- nice and cheesy Beer- draft beer from KCBC (stout) and it was extremely tasty

This used to be our go to good time evening. The last few times we've been here, the food has been so-so. The food used to be amazing. The atmosphere outside is still amazing, but everything has gone up in price and down in quality. Their cocktails used to be kick ass. Not so much anymore. It makes me a bit sad.

I have been here before a while ago and recalled a better food and cocktail experience. This time was different, cocktails were creative and delicious. However, we also ordered a Jack and Coke twice and got two different prices so there is that 🙄. The food, well the pepperoni pizza and the sausage were great. The chicken pizza was bland to be honest. The two stars is based on the different prices provided for alcoholic drinks, with no intent on a resolution from the bartender. BREAKDOWN: ________________________ •Food Cost = moderately priced •Food Portion= small for price paid • Food Quality= 4 of 5 • Friendliness of staff= 3 of 5 • Environment= 2 of 5 ( Bathrooms were disgusting) •Atmosphere= 5 of 5 Great place to grab a bit despite a few hiccups.

I am hesitant to leave a review but I don’t know what happened to Hydraulic Hearth. I first went here 9-10 years ago, we were frequent customers, had a baby in 2018, 2020 changed everything for everyone, and I FINALLY made it back there tonight, and I didn’t recognize the establishment. The decor is the same, which was nice. But the atmosphere otherwise is completely different. Shockingly, customers are now expected to seat themselves, grab a menu, order at the Bar, take their drinks to their tables AND eat off small, tiny paper plates. The pizzas are still $22-$30 but the slices are larger than the plates. The staff does bus the table but are all wearing sweatpants and pajamas and have absolutely no interest in actually serving the customer. Their Italian-leaning dishes are long gone, the menu is completely bare but your bill will still run $100+, without alcohol. I can’t get over it. Maybe I was nostalgic for the pre-baby memories, and I do realize that everything had gotten more expensive and staff is hard to find but this is NOT the way. Customers should never eat on paper plates or drink from paper cups at a restaurant! And they should be greeted at the door. I hope this can be turned around. Won’t return otherwise.

Had been going there before they changed their service model of ordering your own food and drink. Didn’t like the change, it was too slow to wait and order. We only ordered drinks and an appetizer, chose to have dinner elsewhere. Disappointed and won’t be back.
