The food was great, the staff attentive and the view from our table by the window was lovely. Had the best Reuben I've ever had -grilled! - and fries that were both soft inside and crispy outside. Husband had a beef on weck generously filled with the well done meat he requested. So good!
It’s great that this place is still here… Thank you all so much. I was teaching in the university and was here with my colleague. The paneling is wood and very wonderful. Great views of creek. I had a veggie wrap. Pictured.
This restaurant has been in business under this name since 1981, and as others going back into the 1800's. It retains some of the feel of past eras in being a sort of long, thin building which gives some separate dining areas and a sort of separate central bar area. The thing that really draws people (besides the good food) is the fact that it is, literally, on the side of Ellicott Creek. They have done a nice job in enclosing their creekside patio into a convertible dining room with big sliding windows that can let in fresh air on nice days. I was very impressed with the fact that even though the creekside seating is the most in-demand, they still have a ramp to get people with mobility issues down, even at the expense of the added seating they could get by only having stairs. The food was very good, and a good value for your money. They do have daily specials, which included a locally brewed beer when we last went. Overall, we were very happy with our experience!
We had a nice meal. The portions are huge and nicely presented. The food was good and we’ll be back. The Brown Derby Cobb salad and the crab cake sandwich were both great. The only down side was the handicapped entrance. The ramp is very steep, really hard for my 94 year old mom to manage with her walker. It’s not ADA compliant.
Meals had been prepared to perfection in Terms of Taste, Appearance, and Size.
Was there yesterday, and had called day before to reserve table for 3 near water view. Despite them stating they couldn’t promise that on short notice, they did a wonderful job accommodating my two friends and I. Sat us right in front of the water view. Waiter was awesome and so was the food. I highly recommend this place.
Hands down best French onion soup in the area. Great service.
A lovely lunch at Creekview Restaurant in Williamsville! They have one of the most extensive lunch menus you will find anywhere in this area. Everything sounded great, so we decided to order several menu items to share. We started our meal with the tapas plate and the baked artichoke, spinach, and brie dip. Both were exceptional. For our entrees, we chose the chicken parmesan and the chicken capricatta, which is now on top of my list for favorite lunches. Large portions of all items ordered. There are lots of drink options available as well. Definitely try the candy cane martini when it's in season. It will surely add some cheer to your day! Even though they were really busy, the service was excellent. Parking is a bit of a challenge since specific spots are designated for individual stores in the plaza. Make sure you pay attention or you risk being towed. Overall, Creekview is one of the best lunch spots in Williamsville! Updating my review October 2025. Still wonderful. Loved their German special entrees for October fest. They make the best seasonal cocktails in fall! The view of the creek is always so pretty no matter the season! It's definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in Williamsville.
Food was delicious. Wonderful view but the room we were in was hot and then cold, hot and then cold; every time the heater clicked on or off. Service was very good and food taste and presentation were great. Can TC wait to eat here again.
It was a first time for me visiting the creek View Inn. The restuarant and bar is spacious inside and the dining room offers large windows so every table has a niece view of the Ellicott Creek. Also... a second dining room is provided with the same type of set up large windows in which you can a nicer view of the creek. Resturant was clean and server was friendly efficient. We dined on a week day and it was busy. No waiting time for server. Creekview offers a nice lunch menu and offers healthy choices. I'd recommend the tuna melt which was delicious. A nice crunch on the bread it was loaded with tuna accompanied by the right amount of tomstoe and cheddar. I ordered a side salad which was a nice size salad fresh which was filled with red onion tomatoe crouton and Cucumber. My husband ordered the Salman entree. A nice sized piece of salmon asparagus and caucus. I brought some leftovers home and was fully satisfied. We will be back Creekview thank you!
My husband and I experienced Creekview for the first time last night. We were celebrating our 16th anniversary, and this was a phenomenal place to visit. Everything was perfect. The French Onion Soup was huge, and was the best we've ever had. The portions were generous, and the Cobb Salad was amazing. Very fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and he was impressed, it was delicious! We both left afterwards and kept talking about our visit on the way home. It was truly a memorable dinner, and thank you to our friendly waitress as well. Very pleasant atmosphere, tasty food, fast service, and reasonable prices. We look forward to visiting again soon.
right on the river try to sit on the outside patio if you can!! very good salmon & reasonably priced
I went here for my anniversary and really enjoyed myself. I had Haddock parmesan while my wife had Chicken parmesan. Both plates tasted great! Pricing was a little above what I'm used to BUT looking out my window, eating next to the creek was worth it. Definitely recommend
We had a great experience last night food was phenomenal! Service impeccable!
Great spot with a great view with an intimate feel. Delicious food, and very reasonable prices. Little when packed, little quiet when not. Bathrooms need improved.
Great place! Love the atmosphere with the creek right outside the patio. I got the Creekview Club with turkey and it was great. Stacked high with four large sections. It normally comes with chips or fries, but I got a side salad.
My husband and I went here today (10/7) for lunch. We both had the turkey dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and service was great!! Our server, Kristine, was wonderful! She was on top of everything. Everything was great- from clean facility, quick service, and delicious food. We will be back!
Great service at this place. We ordered food to share so that we could try multiple things. I forgot to ask for extra plates so we could share the salad. Rather than needing them, Kerry (our waitress) brought the salads out in separate bowls! The Cobb salad was amazing. We also tried the crab cakes (which also had good tartar sauce) and Lobster Mac (which was good but could have used more cheese). There was also a nice creek view from the patio dining area. Would certainly dine again!
Stopped for a late lunch and decided to try this place right on Main Street across from Glenn falls!!! Food was delicious and reasonable prices! We definitely will be going back! Give it a try!
Never disappointed. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. They are very attentive. Beet & Arugula Salad, Penne ala Vodka Sauce and the platter
Great service drinks and food.
Was absolutely floored by this place. Food was amazing. Service was also amazing. And the banana creme pie for desert was to die for. The view of the creek was also really nice. I'll definitely be back.
Wonderful service and great food! Would definitely come back.
A Williamsville staple. Food is consistently good. Nice casual atmosphere in a historic building. Service is very friendly and efficient.
Food was delicious, but service was slow. Others who walked in after us were served their meals before we received our appetizers.
The food and atmosphere was excellent. Service was very good considering how busy the lunch crowd was. We waited 45 minutes for our food, but understand the staff was running their tails off and did the best they could.
We go yearly for our anniversary (27 and counting). There was a drop in quality for a time, but the last few years have been great. Always lovely to have a meal by the creek. My wife is vegetarian, I'm a carnivore, we both find options to satisfy.
Good food, had burgers. The tom and Jerry cocktail was great!
Amazing place. The service is fantastic. Waitresses are attentive to details and special requests, going above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want. The atmosphere is cozy, and the business is great. They were totally filled up on a freezing Wednesday night… if that doesn’t say something I don’t know what does.
This place has a large menu and is a very busy local restaurant. We went on a Tuesday and the place was packed. We didn't have to wait for a seat but I would recommend making a reservation if you have a large party or if you're going on a weekend. The food was good and the service was decent.
Relaxing, great food fresh ingredients easy on the wallet.absolutely awesome view The White staff was very professional gave us plenty of time to talk relax enjoy the atmosphere. He was amazing.
Been going here for years. The owner and employees are exceptional. It's a great atmosphere that has been around forever with a cozy feel. Always feel welcome here. Food is great!
Williamsville staple, food is always awesome I had a daily special. House philly cheese steak w pieces of chopped steak not shaved smeat, 4 cheeses and mushrooms and onions was unreal. Shannon our server was outstanding, polite and attentive and friendly as always...never had a bad meal here as always 10 out of 10
Fabulous indoor dining by a rushing creek, swollen with melted snow. Food was perfectly cooked, from fried to pan seared to wraps to pasta. All our dining companions positively commented upon their meals.
Food was excellent, server was kind and efficient, host was very friendly. We were a party of 6 celebrating a wedding shower in the back room. The shrimp tacos were the only disappointment. The sauce was like a spicy asian which was not expected. Restaurant does needs some restoration and updating. Keylime desert was amazing!
We had not been to the Creekview in 10 years and were going to be in the area, so we decided to check it out again. Not much has changed. It still has that local restaurant feel to it. Smaller cozy bar. Friendly, efficient staff etc. We were seated in the room by the water which offers a great view, but was cold. They had a heater which was great, but it would get really warm and then cold. During the warmer months this is definitely the place to sit for the view. The food was tasty and we had no complaints. Respectfully, the facility could use some refreshing. Especially the patio area sliding doors and carpet. But we were there for the food and atmosphere, which were good!
Sir tubs legs taking up my leg room mad annoying. Got that clam chowda. I yammed that John. Steak was guud. Creek view gets 3 big BOOM BOOM BOOM. Waiter was lowkey glazing but food hit. 🦶I keep eating the food before the photo I was hungry. Waiter read my shirt says don’t fake the funk on a nasty dunk, words I live by. anything for that tip. Wud recommend.
Sat at the bar for a burger. Great service from Jen!! The bar was packed and she handled it like a pro! I ordered a burger which was ok. Over all a great place in a great location!!
Good Food. Good Service. Lots of items to choose from. Great portions on all entrees and all’s. Fresh Bread and Butter included before your meal! Great location in Williamsville.
I'll start out by saying the food is delicious! We got the tapas plate, spinach bread, alfredo with chicken and steak sandwich with sweet potato fries, all perfect. But, we were seated at the very first table/booth which is right next to the door leading to the bar and directly across from the kitchen entrance and its a horrible seat, if you get seated there I would ask to be moved, its crazy loud with servers flying back and forth and bar noise (5:30 pm on a Saturday). Second our waitress seemed SO miserable for our first 15 minutes there, my husband and I both picked up on it and it was just an uncomfortable and awkward vibe, but the longer we were there the more mellow she became so it worked out. Even with these issues I still plan on going back because the food was 10/10
Went for lunch and has the clam chowder. It was delicious. The service was pretty slow, but it was also busy. The waiter was polite.
Place is really nice. Loved the vibe and the scene. Food tasted very good even though mine was slightly cool. The flavors and quantity were great. Our waitress was attentive a d the bus staff were amazing. Overall a good evening...I'd return.
First time here and enjoyed the atmosphere, parking is very tight and can be a challenge. My blacked salmon was moist albeit it lacked flavor, the mashed potatoes were flavorful (best part of meal). I like the area and will most likely eat here again(will try another dish).
The restaurant was super nostalgic and tidy., The waiter was attentive her name was Jen. We ordered the baked spinach bread for an appetizer along with some mussels. I was told that the spinach bread had a bit too much spinach on it Jen the server did offer another appetizer to rectify. The mussels were really good I enjoyed them. My grilled chicken was made to order and pretty darn good, the Mac and Cheese I was told was a bit dry and bland she didn't want to be looked at as a picky person who complains so she didn't mention it. Overall it was a decent experience and the view is NICE! Stop down for fresh air while you grab a bite
We had called and had reservations. When we got there we still had to wait over 20 minutes for a table. I understand it was suuuuper busy. Super. It was packed in there. Whatever. Then even when we were seated we waited about 10 - 15 for our waiter to even come over. Ordered drinks - waited another 15 minutes for them to be brought over. We ordered our food. The soup and the banana pepper pierogis were amazing. But still had to wait a long time for them to be brought out. We waited another probably 30 minutes for our main meals to be brought out in which my husband's burger was burnt. Burnt. He ordered it medium rare.... lol but he wouldn't let me say anything because he didn't wanna wait anymore. For what we thought was gonna be about an hour meal turned in to our 2 hours. TWO HOURS. we barely ate our main dishes there cause at that point it was almost 10pm. Thats insane when I just got a pasta and he got a burger. The apps were 10/10. Main dishes 3/10. Services 2/10. (Our waiter was super nice it was just so so so slow. But again it was super busy in there.)
Just okay. It's not a bad place but the food is hot or miss when it comes to dinners. My chicken Parmesan was tasty but the up charged Caesar salad was at best meh. Nothing worth the 3 dollar increase over a regular salad. My wife's boneless Rib eye was not tender. It was edible but an excessive in chewing. (More worthy of a cheap bar than a professionally run restaurant) The service was good. Prompt but not friendly. (Which is understandable on a busy Saturday). We were not offered deserts nor did we request one. I did enjoy the Mule and my wife loved the Lemon drink(I forgot the name of it, sorry.) All in all an average meal with nothing to brag about. If you go you know the food will be good enough.
The food at Creekview is very good, as is the atmosphere. I have eaten here with family for years, and generally consider it to be a good choice. The setting, next to Ellicott Creek, is quite nice. The enclosed patio has a nice atmosphere, and you have a good view of the water. While the service has generally been good, at a recent visit one member of my party ordered a special, only to have our server bring back a similarly-named item from the normal menu. We complained, and after going back and forth several times and the server finally verifying that the correct item was in fact on the specials menu, the correct order was placed. Meanwhile, the rest of us still had our meals, which we worked on slowly. Eventually the correct plate was brought out for the party member who ordered it. The correct order was charged on our bill, and overall I would say we would go back, but considering what we are used to at Creekview this was an annoying experience.
Customer service excellent. The portions are generous; the food coming out looked very good. The macaroni and cheese was nice and hot but bland. As well as the roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. It just needed something, some spark of flavor, a zing of zest. Something was missing, and salt and pepper would have been a good start. Otherwise, thumbs up. Nice atmosphere too.
Place needs total renovation, and a deep intense cleaning. Fix floors. Parking for restaurant very bad! Food okay. Host (male) who seated us was totally out of touch; no personality, rude not friendly at all! Bartender was not friendly either. Waitress was good, very friendly. Air conditioning broke down that morning, thermostat read 85 Yikes! I have to say, honestly will not recommend Creekview nor will we ever be back!
If you want the elevated dining experience you have had for the last 30 years at Creekview, forget it. The new menu is nothing but pub food. We ordered the yellow pike, described as pan fried with asparagus. OK. Yellow pike is a delicious mild whitefish. What came out was travesty. Heavily dredged in flour and fried until it was tasteless and dry, served cold. The asparagus was so overly salted it was inedible. And it was served with fries. Who serves yellow pike with fries? If I wanted a fish fry I'd have gone to the Glen Park tavern. I rated it 2 stars only because the cocktails were good, the soup was tasty and the service was good.
