Opinions de Pearl Street Grill & Brewery Buffalo
Would like to thank Nicole and her wedding staff at the Pearl Street Grille and Brewery for doing an amazing job for my daughters wedding on Saturday September 4th 2021! We could not have asked for a better night. The room was set up perfectly, the food and drinks were amazing. The staff was polite. You never felt rushed or pushed along. Everything was packed and ready to go for us. Thank you for giving my daughter and son in law a night to remember!
The beef and barley soup was outstanding! The sausage dip was exceptional! The wings were great, beer cheese soup delicious, and the white pizza was amazing. Everything we had was so tasty. We were a party of 10 and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!
We had a great time visiting Pearl Street Grill & Brewery! Our server Brandon was awesome—super helpful, knew the menu inside and out, we really appreciate his honesty and integrity. The wings were amazing, and the wrap-around patio covered in flowers was absolutely beautiful. We’ll definitely be back!
Great place for some good food and great service. AMAZING beer selection. Well worth the visit.
My husband and I came in to have a drink at the bar. We have about an hour or so until the wedding reception. Shawn, the bar tender is amazing. Super friendly, attentive and kind. If you ever go to Pearl Street be sure to ask for him. My husband had the Suntory and whiskey, I had the Kentucky Tea (amazing), a large pretzel and a flight of beers.
Starting with the hostess.... She was great and welcoming when walking into the restaurant. Second the waitress we had was very nice and kept our drinks filled and checked on our table multiple times. I had the pot roast and that was fabulous!!! The roast was very tender and melted in my mouth. I would definitely order again. Right now due to the Covid-19, they have a limited menu. But still decent. Food came out very quick too. Everything was A+++
We hadn’t been to Pearl street in a couple of years due to some not so good experiences, but decided to go and give them another shot before a recent Sabres game. It was easy to make a reservation on their website. Our service was great and the food was very good. I got the Reuben and I loved that the corned beef was cut off the bone and not the deli meat version. My husband got the fish fry which he enjoyed. We’ll definitely be back again!
Fantastic brewery, great food and great service! This is my go to place prior to hitting up a hockey game at Keybank Centre. As a Canadian visitor to Buffalo, usually wearing Leafs gear, or Team Canada gear, you're treated fantastic! The beers made here are great and there was more than 10 choices of beer on tap that is breawed on site! Wicked place, you'll love it!
My husband and I were visiting Buffalo from Ohio and came on a Friday night. We made a reservation just in case and when we got there we got right in. We got the pretzel which was huge, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and the dipping sauces were amazing. Not pictured because we ate it too quickly, we shared a small pizza with pepperoni and sausage and it was probably the best pizza we’ve ever had. The crust was light fluffy, just the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese pulls were incredible! 10/10!! Service and staff were also great. Everything came out piping hot!
FIRST, I LOVED the decor of this place! Secondly, every person we encountered was friendly. Jeff our waiter had a bubbly personality. There were four of us and we each raced about our food. The GIANT PRETZEL with the beer cheese dip…OMG!!! My first time having the Buffalo drink, Loganberry. I had the Braised Beef Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. Those green beans were the BEST, FLAVORFUL restaurant green beans ever! The patio seating is a vibe. We did have to vacate the patio due to an incoming storm. Lucky for us, we were leaving. I cannot wait to come back! PARKING: PAID $10 in the lot directly across or garage. FREE street parking available but good luck.
Overall a great choice for casual dining. I was interested in trying the special (walleye) but they were sold out and the Ruben I ended up getting was very dry. My wife’s fish fry however was delicious! Our waiter was kind and checked in regularly.
Came in as Harvest Host customers. It was a great evening in tasting room. Had some pizza and beers. The pizza was surprisingly good and the beers were even better. Rich was very nice and the customers were super friendly. We would definitely come back.
I ate here while passing time in buffalo waiting for my flight to depart. This establishment is awesome, cool ancient ceiling fans and has so much history. The building is enormous. This place is s must stop. The food was also good. I had the steak sandwich and pub fries. It was good and s lot of food. I would eat here again.
As always service is prompt, staff are organized and friendly, and food comes fast. My friend ordered a sandwich and asked for mashed potatoes. When the food arrived it was with kettle chips and she mentioned it to the server. She quickly said sorry and came back with mashed potatoes to correct the issue. Perfect.
Good brewery restaurant!! You can enjoy great beers and foods here!! The atmosphere was great to enjoy craft beers with good guys!! You can watch sports games on big TV!! I had a good pizza and good wings with yummy source!! Very friendly staffs served quickly so I had a great night with friends!! Enjoy !!
Went to a wedding here a few weeks ago , the food was amazing and the staff was really nice . I’m a few weeks postpartum and needed somewhere away from people to pump , the large bathroom was out of order but I found a staff member to took me to a bathroom on a different floor to give me the privacy I needed , I can’t remember her name but she was very nice and I appreciate her a lot for that , was way better then having to go to the car to pump .
Went here several times on multiple trips to Buffalo. The staff were friendly and helpful every time. The food is so flavorful. This pizza was from my last visit, and boy did it hit the spot. The beer is so good, with plenty to choose from for the different palates. And during nicer weather they have outdoor seating with awesome views of the waterfront. Highly recommend.
My husband and I were visiting Buffalo, and in a Google search prior to our visit we came across Pear Street as a must-do restaurant in downtown. Pearl Street was only a few blocks walk from our hotel, and it's also close to the Toronto Blue Jays stadium that was built. We made a reservation ahead of time just to be sure we'd have a table. We visited on a Thursday evening, and it did not appear to be crowded enough to cause more than a 10 minute wait around the 6pm hour. We were served fairly quickly, and there did not appear to be a longer wait even when we left. However, I always recommend making a reservation when available on apps or through Google. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess, and our waiter arrived timely. We had looked at the menu ahead of time, so we had an idea of our order fairly quickly. Unfortunately, my husband and I aren't big on craft beer, but he did try the Blue-Eyed Blueberry Blonde and he really like it. We ordered the Giant Pretzel, 9 Wings with Golden BBQ and Beer Cheese Soup to share. Everything tasted very good, we were happy to have some leftovers that heated up well the next evening. The pretzel is big enough to comfortable feed 3-4 people. I especially like the honey mustard dipping sauce. We decided on a pizza for dinner. We ordered our usual sausage and mushroom on the 12" crust and it was another great dish that we were able to save for leftovers as well. The star of the pizza was definitely the crust. The pretzel and the pizza heat up well, so save leftovers! We obviously ordered a lot of food, but being from out of town, we wanted to try a bit of everything. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this restaurant if visiting Buffalo, or a local. The only thing that would have made this visit better was being seated in a booth, not a table. But that's being quite specific (and picky).
10 outta 10!!! Our first trip to Buffalo/Niagara Falls for our 25th anniversary and this was the best starter spot. Not busy for a Thursday night, but perfect for us. Super duper duper shout out to our server Jeff. When I tell you he was on point with EVERYTHING!. Food, drinks, conversation, suggestions, he was great. Go see him and tell him the House's sent you. Seriously, would recommend 10 outta 10. Great location, good food and drinks.
Pearl Street Grill & Brewery offers a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere with a wide selection of house-brewed beers and hearty, flavorful dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the spacious setting is perfect for both casual dining and social gatherings. A reliable spot for enjoying great food, craft brews, and a lively, enjoyable experience with friends or family.
Our hockey team hosted a team dinner here with over 50 people tonight. Brendan, Desmond, & the rest of the Pearl staff were amazing. Friendly, flexible, & easy going - which is awesome when you have that many kids & adults trying to enjoy an evening together. Brendan & Dez were going back & forth constantly and everyone enjoyed their meals. After dinner, the kids found the 2nd floor game room & the night went to another level. Major props to Brendan, Dez, & the crew at the Pearl!!
This place is so good. Ut was hard to choose what to eat because there were a lot of good options. I split the buffalo chicken pizza with my dad and it was very good. I don't like hot or spicy food but the buffalo sauce had just enough heat to taste it without it being too much. We went with a group of people and everyone commented on how good all the food looked and tasted. Will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu.
This place was recommended to us. Stopped in after seeing the falls. I tried a wheat beer, which was delicious. The restaurant was booked for reservations only bc of the Bills game, however we sat at the island and ordered though the bar tender. Super nice friendly service. The food was amazing. We tried the fried pickles as an appetizer, then for entrees we had the brisket Mac and cheese as well as the pot roast. The pot roast was so tender and the mashed potatoes were really good. This place is awesome. Please check it out if you are in town.
This place was soooo cool!! Lots of space and even had a game room to occupy your time while you wait for your food!! Nachos were great, pizza was good and drinks were superb!! Great for large parties too! Patio up top had such a new view as well!! Would definitely stop here again....so much food to choose from!! Great staff as well!!
I meant to type this sooner. My boyfriend and I spent our 10 year anniversary together here. He's been here before but I haven't until our date. Anyway, this place is awesome! It's on a bus route, also. Very welcoming, cozy and nostalgic. Love the sight of local history and old maps. They have a cool mural outside on their building. We've had reservations but they definitely put us at a cool spot in the heart of their brew room. The staff is prompt and wonderful! Their food and drinks explodes in a great flavour! If it's your first time here, you ought to get one of their souvenirs. I'll gladly visit again, and hopefully in their upstairs deck!
A good place to go before a concert or game. Lots of areas to drink, play air hockey, pool, etc. It was really loud and busy there though, I’m not sure if it’s always like that but if you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t it. For a nice day, they have the New Orleans style balcony with flowers and tables.
Great spot to watch sports or hangout with friends while waiting until the hockey game starts at the KeyBank Center! Food is good, decent portions, good flavour. Service is very very good! Our waiter was so kind and helpful! Beers... THE BEST! You have to try them all! My favourite is the sour one! Oh wow! Very good! You have from very bitter IPAs to very crisp lagers! I will come back again (I live in Toronto, went to the Florida Panthers game at the KeyBank Centre).
I wasn't overly impressed with the food. It was decent...but definitely no WOW factor at all. It wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't live up to the hype of what the menu said either. I would have given it a '3 star' review, however, the service was fantastic. Our server was on the ball, checked on us and accommodated our extra needs all with a smile, and even a joke. The wooden tables...well, they could use a good scrubbing. They were as sticky as flypaper. I had to put a napkin down just for an arm rest spot. Overall, we did have a great time and I did love the atmosphere there. I would go back.... Despite the sticky situation 😉
This was a gem to find in my travels through the area. I was thankful I ate early as it seems it gets VERY busy when there is a hockey match in town. Service was polite and quick. The buffalo chicken dip was well seasoned and a nice crust on the top. Great flavor, not to spicy but also not bland! A true winner. My only sadness was the chips. They were simple bagged chips, which didn’t complement the dip. Home made tortillas or pita bread would have been much better to accompany the dip and elevate the over all appetizer. The vegetarian pasta (I added shrimp) was beautifully prepared. The vegetable noodles were done but still with a crunch and great texture. The dish was seasoned amazing. The added shrimp were cleaned and cooked to perfections The berry cheese cake dessert was divine. Using Biscotti as crust was brilliant. Though I was told the whipped cream was freshly made, the texture and bland flavor reminded me too much of a can from the store to believe that. My only complaint here aside from the cream was the berry drizzle was too much. It was great but whoever dressed the plate was too heavy handed with it and the overly sweet syrup pulled off the balance of what was an over all good ending to a great meal.
This is a staple in the downtown Buffalo restaurant / bar scene. For those from the area stop by to check out the multiple bars, and enjoy fresh craft beers made right on site. While I’ve never been blown away by the food, it comes out hot and is enjoyable- consistency is key and I think consistently good food is better than one great meal, followed by an average one so I appreciate that they can deliver time and time again. I opted for the corned beef sandwich whole my guest went with the fish fry- both were tasty, but I found the sandwich to be light on the corned beef. The chips were on the overdone side, so I had to dip them in ketchup to keep them from being too dry. We both finished our meals with no major concerns however.
My friend And I checked out this place on Monday, I really loved the brewery inside, it is a nice set up, beer it’s really good and customer service is great. Bartender was super nice, beer very tasty, not a big selection for sure but some good variety of beer. Food was okay, pretzel came a little over baked and wings were okay, ales and blonde beers were amazing. I’ll have to come back to check out the rest of the beer menu and maybe other menu selections. Definitely a cool place to check out if you’re visiting Buffalo.
Visited this place on the way back from vacation and was pleasantly surprised. We went early Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. They had a decent selection of beers of varying flavors and degrees of sweetness. The food was tasty and relatively healthy, for restaurant food. I ordered the turkey burger, and while I found it too savory for my personal tastes, it was well cooked. I especially liked their broccoli, both raw and steamed. Both were fresh. Their bathrooms were clean and spacious. Service was prompt.
Service was superb our server was Courtney, view was quaint! Very clean and speedy... now for the food I accidentally ordered the chicken sandwich thinking it was broiled but it was fried and still delicious. The pizza was huge for the fair price and made with fresh ingredients as well. The appetizer was a pretty huge one lol. Draft list was short and sweet which saves you the guessing games lol. The tempo is pretty upbeat and suitable for younger to middle age., However I feel the mature crowd could find a niche here as well! Lookn for a good time , gorgeous views and great food?! Pearl Street is your place!
Really cool restaurant and pub in a big old brick midcentury building downtown. Loved the atmosphere and got a flight of delicious beers. The menu is not exactly gonna set the world on fire; it's pretty basic. Tried the fish tacos which were decent. My wife had the burger; also good. We enjoyed the old Buffalo pictures and maps. Loved the Trainwreck Amber ale and will definitely stop back again for more.
The food was good overall (went with a group of about 20 people). The place is a little noisy but that is the expected ambiance of such a setting, in my opinion. The waiter we had seemed to be keen of who got what and where, which I'm always glad to see. I don't drink beer, so sorry, no review on that for you but its my understanding that all drinks are brewed by them. The wings - definitely a hit in my book. The fish tacos - I enjoyed them. I like fish tacos, which is why I gravitated to this entree. The chance of them being a hit with everyone is doubtful though, as the flavors were bold, tangy, and a little sharp. From the consensus of the group though, there were great comments on the pizza, strogonoff, cheddar broccoli soup, and more, so the food seemed to be consistent in that manner. I would go back if in the area again. Just maybe not if it's winter time - that snow you know.
Stopped in for an early dinner and we’re seated immediately. The beer selection offered something for everyone, including some that were brewed on site. I went with the buffalo chicken pizza as a recommendation from the waitress. It was delicious and so big that I could not finish it all.
Stopped in for early dinner on Labor Day. Plenty of seating available. The building exterior is lovely, and the interior is comfortable. The ceiling fan system is very unique. All the fans are driven by one motor and interconnected with pulleys and belts. Fun to look at. Lots of TVs for sports, and interesting wall decor. Great looking place. They also offer gluten free options for sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas. We ordered the Cajun Shrimp Salad and the Ditch Digger burger. The salad was great except for the avocado which was inedible. The burger was cooked far beyond the medium temperature requested. Our server, Julie, saved the day by replacing the avocado and giving up a free second beer (Lake Effect Pale Ale-which was awesome). We didn't ask for a new burger because the beef was very tasty in spite of the overcook. Large selection of house brewed beers and ales, both on tap and in cans, plus a well stocked bar with lots of spirits from which to choose. In spite of the food glitches, would give it another shot.
Came here for dinner to celebrate the anniversary of our wedding reception here 10 years ago. The food is always great but the service felt lacking. Tried to call every day for a week to make a reservation large enough for our party. Nobody answered and nobody returned my voicemails. I ended up making two reservations and asked to have them seated next to each other was told they couldn't accommodate that. The two tables ended up in different rooms. The whole meal, the table next to one of the two tables sat empty and by the time the meal was finished 45 minutes later, the restaurant was comically empty. If we had been asked to wait a few minutes to sit together, we happily would have. I understand weekends can be busy, especially when there's an event like the baseball game that night but in this case, it just felt like they didn't care to even try.
Did not enjoy the last time here. I came on New Year's Eve right after main dinner hours and there wasn't a lot of people there. The server ruined the entire meal and I would not be back. She was inattentive, never offered refills, never brought water, she brought the appetizer and literally brought out the entree within 10 minutes. Checked back once less than a minute after before I had even touched the entree and vanished before I even responded. I left to go to the bathroom and when I came back my food was stacked as if she started bussing the table. Clearly, I didn't want the food after they touched it. I asked for the check and a water when she finally came back over. She came back with the check. I put my card in the thing and she came back to process the card, took it came back and said to have a good night, and I had to ask again for water which I never received, I said politely, "You must not have heard me, can I have a water"? Absolutely ridiculous. When she came back she plopped it on the table and left in a huff. What is the rush?! It was 7:30pm. The wings were really good but served with only 3 very small pieces of celery. The pot roast was good but VERY dry. Combined with the fact I had no drink for 3/4 of the meal, I couldn't enjoy it. The green beans were good but everything needed seasoning, very bland. I should also mention that the prices were outrageous, not a good value at all. I believe it was 8 wings for $18. That's robbery especially in Buffalo! Worst experience I had out dining in recent memory. I had thought this was a much nicer place than it was. I had a good meal here during the summer with friends but apparently, they don't care about solo diners.
Our table ordered the fish and chips... Battered well, under seasoned. A salad they finished. The salmon sandwich... Was pieces of salmon and felt like left over pieces, the sandwich was on well toasted delicious bread but was kinda dry and not enough aioli and too much lettuce! The pot roast with sides was enjoyed as well. They know how to cook fish, but not season it.
Overall the place was ok. Service was good, atmosphere was good, but the prices were just unreasonable once we saw the portion sizes. $16 for 9 wings and wanted a $2 upcharge to get all drumsticks. average cost for wings right now is about$3 per lb and I know that was maybe 1.5 lbs. BBQ sauce I ordered was pretty good though. The nachos were average and cost above average, even when accounting for current inflation. Server/bartender was friendly though and provided good service. The 3 star rating is driven by the price being way above where they should be based on current cost of ingredients and expected markup.
The restaurant has a cool vibe with lots of wood paneling. The service was fine but I was not impressed with my Ruben. First, for over $18 it did not come with fries; rather, it came standard with chips with the option to pay more for a different side. Then, the meat was tough and I had trouble taking a bite without tearing the whole sandwich apart. The sauce was not as tangy as I like. It was an acceptable Ruben but I thought it was overpriced for what it was.
Took a while to get service. Ordered buffalo wings, which were good, but took a long time. (20 min) Never got offered refills. Rarely saw the server. Ordered burgers medium. Got super overcooked yet lukewarm burgers, dry buns, and cold fries. Not pleasant. Overall, don't recommend. It's like an Applebee's made a baby with a Cracker Barrel.
Will update once food is served, however we were seated 50 minutes ago, waited at least 10 minutes to order and are still waiting for our food. I get that its Saturday evening and was crazy busy when we arrived but food turn around should be far faster. We regret coming here simply due to the time factor, major disappointment. Had the beef and cheddar, the meat and cheese sauce were pretty good, however the greasy bun, and overkill on the cheese sauce made it a mess, the meat and cheese ended up on the plate. And my clothes.
This place is not TERRIBLE. But I mean, what a lemon. The place itself is beautiful and quite expansive. We opted to sit in the patio and the long way there has very good signage which was helpful. There were about 3-4 tables seated when we got there at about noon on a Monday. About 6-7 when we left. Plenty of free tables, and we asked to be seated at a shaded one which the hostess didn't know what to do with until we just pointed at one. We ordered a couple of beers, Pils and the unfiltered wheat. Both were pretty decent but nothing special, especially considering that Buffalo has some amazing breweries. We shared the roast beef wrap which was really fresh, tasty, and evenly distributed. The potato wedges it came with were good at first but after about 10 minutes tasted a bit dry which makes me believe they were reheated. The service was exceptionally slow. Not infuriating, but quite slow for a not busy Monday lunch time at the end of the summer. We got the food before the beers, which was strange. Then we asked for a couple more condiments, which didn't arrive until we finished all the food and the beer, well into the meal. The amazing thing is, the place and patio looks so inviting until you actually sit there. Take a look at the photo, the highway is literally eye level with you in the front, and you have the back of a hotel in your back. There was an alarm blaring from one of the nearby buildings right before we ordered for a few minutes which made us almost get up and leave. Looks like the surroundings kinda got built around this place. Overall, would not come back here considering there are so many other places with nicer views, better service and beers. It's probably an establishment abs it IS a nice looking place, it just didn't provide a nice experience on what was otherwise a not busy day.
Sausage dip was pretty good but the steak sub was by far the worst I’ve ever had.
We went to Pearl Street before attending the Savannah Bananas game. I made reservations for 345pm so we could get to the gates opening at 515pm. When we arrived it was busy, which we anticipated. We placed our drink order and food order in about 15 minutes. Our waiter, Eric, came up to us on four different occasions apologizing for the delay, stating the kitchen was backed up. His excuse made no sense as people who arrived after us came and went. Our waiter gave us complimentary salad and chips but by the time the food came, the restaurant was almost empty as most of the people were getting to or at the ballpark already. We order two children Mac n cheese, a turkey sandwich and loaded nachos. None of the food ordered takes much time or effort to prep and get out. By the time we left it was 545pm. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I have been to Pearl Street on several previous occasions but this will be my last. The food was eh at best and the service was horrendous.
Service was poor waitress, til us after waiting 15 minutes brunch was now oser and gave us Lunch menus. No sverwste or napkins offered, I had to ask the bar tender. No refills on soft drink or water. Nor did she ask if we wanted a thing more to drink from the bar once are plates were cleared. I told her the Shrimp appetizer was not edible she just shrugged her shoulders. It was sitting in an 1l/2 ich of oil with over baked chips of some kind
Got to the restaurant, told host my reservation, said he didn't have it, host said I can wait for table upstairs, I said no problem so I go upstairs and wait for my friends to come. I order upstairs food and drinks while I wait for my friends and when they get a table downstairs, I go join them, tell the bar tender we’re going downstairs and tell him which table we’re at . Downstairs , the round male server told us that because we ordered our meal upstairs that he would move us from the table if the restaurant got too busy. Then he proceeded to get a server to throw his dish of food all over us.(they said it was an accident but after what the server just told us I don’t think it was) The pizza was just ok for buffalo standards and wings were thick and flavourful. Overall not too bad.
I think we should have ordered wings and pizza. We had nachos which were not good at all. The cheese was like cheese whiz and the beef looked and tasted off. Burgers were not good either. Atmosphere was fun for a pre-hockey game. Stick with wings and pizza.
We walked in on Saturday night. It was empty. We ordered basic bar food. When I got my chicken fingers, they were completely burnt and dried out to a crisp. They were the most disgusting looking things I’ve seen at a restaurant. We’ve gone to this place over the years and always had OK food, but it has gone downhill in the past three years.
Two of us ate here on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the live band, however were seated at a dirty patio table. (The hostess had removed the previous dishes, etc., but hadn’t wiped down the table, which was covered in food scraps. Disgusting!) When our server arrived asked him to clean it. Our dining experience continued to go downhill. The service was slow and inattentive. We ordered drinks and waited quite a while to receive them. When our food finally arrived, one meal had chips, not fries as had been ordered, which we consequently had to flag the waiter for, to be corrected. The fries did not come until well after we finished our meals, and well after a reminder. The other meal, a salad, included avocado with questionable freshness, and was water-soaked. In addition, we had to ask for water, condiments, the fries and eventually, the bill (as well as to pay!). We definitely could have left without anyone noticing. Other restaurant infractions included a hostess visibly brushing her hair, other tables weren’t not being wiped down and patrons having to ask for cutlery to eat with! Not acceptable and definitely not worth the $80 bill!
Im a local coach bus driver and brought a group here for lunch and I was invited to eat with the group. Not one server came to me and asked me what I'd like to drink or even take my order, in the meantime they were bringing out food. I never felt so invisible in my life.
We went, were seated, placed our drink order, placed our food order, and after 40 minutes, still didn’t even have water. But the party of 8 who sat after us 15 minutes after we sat, had water and their drinks. Got up and left. Unfortunate. Looked like a nice place. I’ll never go back or recommend.
Out of 10 ppl party only 2 ppls food was good. This food is way overpriced for what it is
I sent several similar email communications that stated: I am writing to request a full refund for the disappointing meal we experienced at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery on Thursday, May 22. I also attempted to contact the restaurant directly on May 23 and May 28, but have yet to receive a response. We purchased tickets for a post-graduation dinner for our son, who is a proud graduate of Canisius High School. At $38 per plate, we expected a memorable dining experience; however, that was not the case. The meal was served cold, without any warmers, and the chicken bites were tough. The roast beef was undercooked, and the pasta was dry, all of which fell below acceptable standards. Additionally, we faced delays while waiting for extra salad, and the sundae bar was not set up until after 10 PM. When I spoke with Josh, the host, he acknowledged that there was a miscommunication regarding guest arrival times, which impacted our overall experience. Furthermore, we were not provided with the menu information before we purchased the tickets. Having this information in advance allowed me to make a more informed decision. Given these numerous issues, a full refund is warranted. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you soon with a solution. To date, I haven't received a response from Pearl Street Brewery, and I will take further action. I am highly disappointed with the unprofessional manner in which this situation has been handled. This day was intended to be a truly memorable occasion, but unfortunately, your establishment's actions have overshadowed our evening!
I went there about a year ago and had a bad experience but thought I’m in downtown. Let me check them out again. It was horrible. The waitress forgot a bunch of things( it was not busy at all), including forks for our table. The Rueben sandwich (the worst I ever had) I ordered had very little meat and we’re talking easily close to $20 sandwich, things are missing that we had to wait for. the pulled pork on the nachos with cold liquid cheese was horrible. Didn’t even pull the pork. It was just chunks of pork. The two other people I was with had similar complaints and disappointments, will never go back and would never recommend. I tried to give them a second chance, but I’m not going for a third time.
We stopped into Pearl Street for lunch after an event at Seneca One. Our group was four people (three adults and one child), and we split two entrées. Unfortunately, the food really missed the mark. The fries were cold, the meat on the Reuben was chewy and fatty, and the chicken fingers were just your generic frozen wholesale fingers, nothing memorable. With one beer, one pop, and two waters, the total came to $53.07 (not including our 20% tip and the paid parking). I understand prices are up everywhere, but paying over $50 for such a basic bar lunch felt pretty unreasonable. Overall, not an experience I’d return for. Our waitress was very sweet and kind, believe her name was Mia. And this is in no way reflective of her service! Solely a food based review.
This was my worst experience in a brewery EVER. The building is absolutely amazing but the staff, food, and beer was trash. My $13 1 layer nachos was ice cold and made with the worst toppings ever. Look at all the leftover homemade chips that are left with no toppings. I tour breweries all over the country and this will be fun to write about in our blog.
this feels like a joke. im vegetarian and i ordered a blackbean burger and it came with BACON on it??? I noticed only after i took a bite. I told the server and he took the plate away and said he’d he back with a new one, that come out when everyone else was done eating and i really didn’t want the burger after eating meat for the first time in 9 years. the server gave the excuse that they read my side of ranch as bacon???? Im disgusted that that is even a mistake that can be made, don’t you think you should double check that a VEGITAIAN burger has bacon??
I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review before, but this might have been our worst dining experience ever. And I hate being critical and am typically pretty easy to please but legitimately everything was terrible, from the food to the service to the dispositions of the people working there. We sat outside on a hot day and didn’t get offered a single refill. Our waiter checked on us ONCE, and it took so long that we were already asking for our check by the time that he did. No silverware was given to us upon being seated, or when we were served our food. They weren’t busy and were adequately staffed. Our prime rib was a terrible cut, WAY undercooked, and tasted like smoke. The soft pretzel was overcooked, no longer a “soft” pretzel, and the beer cheese had a solid film on the top of it as if it had been sitting out way too long. The kids burgers were nothing but a bun, a slice of cheese, and a patty that tasted like cardboard. The wings were undercooked and mushy. Truly just so disappointed that our family of 8 wasted $200 for such an awful dinner. I could never (and absolutely will never) in good conscience recommend this spot to anyone.
My coworker and I stopped in here for lunch last week. The gentleman at the front door who seated us was wonderful, our waiter made us feel like we were bothering him. I noticed that there were things falling from the ceiling on my food. I pointed it out to the server and all he said was “well they clean the ceiling fans all the time“. I didn’t respond to him, I just pointed to the abundance of dust particles all over the table and my food. He didn’t even offer to take my food off the bill. I didn’t make a fuss, I paid my bill and on our way out I alerted the gentleman at the front door of all of the dust and dirt that’s been falling from the ceiling onto not only our table, but every other table as we headed out and he said he would alert Management.
The food came out tasting straight-up like hospital food, bland and depressing, and most of the mozzarella sticks were burnt like they forgot them in the fryer during a smoke break. The drinks were nasty, watered down, and honestly tasted like someone already chewed the flavor out of them. Everything was wildly overpriced for food this terrible — paying that much just to be disappointed should be a crime. Total waste of time, money, and stomach space. I wouldn’t go back even if it was free.
Arrived and was told by hostess there would be a 30-45 minute wait for seating. We agreed, however weren’t asked to provide a name or phone number. After waiting 45 minutes and not being seated, we asked how much longer for the wait and that was when the hostess finally added to the waiting list, which added another hour to our wait. At that point we left. Hostess should have known to ask us to put down a name and phone number when we originally came in and agreed.
