Nº 9 Tasca Bar

We've spent two months in Burgau and I'm regretting we didn't visit this place early enough into our stay to savor this delicious Portuguese cuisine. Bar #9 is always busy. But this is for the reason: they serve genuine homemade food wrapped with a personal touch Octopus and abras dishes are delicious. Prices are reasonable. Decor is welcoming and with sustainability in mind. I love their unique take on the menus, decorations and service. Don't miss this place if you are here. Get on a wait list, enjoy a craft of rose while waiting and embrace all they have there for you 👨‍🍳💖

This is my favourite restaurant in the whole of Portugal. I have been coming here for 11 years and every time it is the most delicious food I have ever eaten. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The owners are so welcoming and lovely and make it such a lovely place to eat.

Een klein pittoresk restaurant met een bijzondere sfeer, fantastische muziek, een gastvrije bediening en we hebben er heerlijk gegeten. Reserveren is wel nodig, anders vis je wrs. achter het net. Een aanrader!!

What a great little restaurant, this is a true gem in Burgau! We went there twice. The atmosphere ' soulful', the food 'soulfood'. We had different 'a la bras' dishes, spinach salad, prawns. Everything fresh and very delicious. Don't leave without tasting their desserts! The homemade Pavlova is incredibly good..

We went there because it was the only place still open. Kitchen was already closed but we git sangria. Owners are very cool, friendly people! We made a dinner reservation for the next day. Orderd baked octopus, percebes, amazing salad with spinach and caramelised red onion and a bras. Everything was very great!!! The whole experience in that place was great! Music, people and food!

Cena muy buena, el pulpo al horno está espectacular, buen ambiente y un servicio muy amable y atento. La única pega que pongo es que no admiten tarjeta, es cierto que hay un cajero al lado, pero creo que ya es un servicio imprescindible en restaurantes

Nadat we te laat aankwamen (we waren in Burgau op een parkeerplaats weggezakt in de modder) konden we toch naar binnen en hebben we echt geweldig gegeten. Alles was heerlijk, maar de pulpo en zelf te braden steak op de steengrill waren onze favorieten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, een echte aanrader voor traditioneel Portugees eten tegen een normale prijs!

Uma grande experiência gastronómica e musical , muito original, comida típica portuguesa e boa música em um lugar acolhedor, uma seleção de pratos portugueses com um toque especial, nos atenderam cantando os pratos, sobremesas e vinhos , muito bom menu e música ao vivo um atendimento maravilhoso!! A sobremesa muito saborosa e leve , vamos repetir muitas vezes, um lugar para voltar sempre !

Cute little café in the heart of Burgau with a lovely outdoor terrace and extra wooden picnic benches for soaking up the sun. Inside is small but cosy, with a very clean upstairs bathroom. Staff were friendly and welcoming—you definitely get the relaxed Burgau village vibes here. From the café, you can see the ocean and beach, which is just a 5-minute walk away. The food was good—big portions and tasty. I had the cheese toastie with onion and tomato, and it came with what I can honestly say are the best chips I’ve had in Portugal so far! Crispy, golden, and properly satisfying. Loved the little thoughtful touches too—like getting the bill served on a slice of wood with “Live like it’s heaven on earth” carved into it. Just one of those places that leaves you smiling. Would definitely come back. A simple, good-vibes spot in a beautiful setting.

WOW! This place was an absolute delight. First time in Portugal, and the waitstaff was so helpful... we did not recognize any of the dishes. She advised us and everything we got was AMAZING. Dinner for 4 plus a bottle of wine was about 80 Euros... very reasonable, especially for such delicious food. Great atmosphere, fun location, great music, cute cat, friendly people... make a reservation and get yourself there. Totally worth it. (pic is chicken you can cook at your table, a baked fish of some sort, fresh sweet potato chips. Also got some sort of hot octopus dish and bacalau(?) a bras (a salt cod, potato and egg dish). The desserts also looked amazing, but we were too full, sadly. Would definitely go back!

Todo genial un sitio muy típico y peculiar, pequeño y de comida muy rica y original. Repetiré. Pedimos pulpo a la plancha, atun a la piedra y una ensalda d tomate riquisima.

Comida muito saborosa, com destaque para o polvo no forno sem relegar para segundo plano o arroz de safio e o robalo assado no forno que nos chegaram à mesa! Ótima sangria com aroma a maracujá! Um ambiente leve, de Verão com música de qualidade. E claro, a Marga e o João dispostos e disponíveis! Alegres. Amigos. Muito obrigada!

El ambiente muy agradable, el pulpo muy rico, todo genial a excepción de que a la hora de pagar no admitían tarjeta y no lo avisaron previamente. Nos vimos obligados a utilizar un cajero donde nos cobraron comisión. Por lo demás todo bien

Posto carino al suo interno, abbiamo mangiato bene, il mio polipo totalmente affogato nell'olio e dell'aglio (non ho finito il piatto), buona la sangria

El local es muy pequeño pero no te sientes agobiado. La comida muy buena a un precio razonable. La única queja seria que tardaron una hora en servirnos el segundo plato (pulpo al horno) supongo que por limitaciones de la cocina, pero echamos de menos que nos lo comunicaran.

Charming little spot with a colorful and cheerful owner 😊. Just a tip: it's a great place to visit—just maybe not for... um, the food, which tends to be oily and steeply priced (classic tourist trap vibes). The cod is overwhelmingly salty, and the octopus could double as a chew toy.

Hier eine mögliche Rezension: Enttäuschendes Erlebnis Wir hatten uns viel von unserem Besuch erhofft, wurden jedoch leider enttäuscht. Das Essen war nicht nur sehr überschaubar, sondern für die Menge auch viel zu teuer. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte überhaupt nicht. Zudem fühlten wir uns schlecht beraten – das Personal wirkte unaufmerksam und wenig bemüht, uns bei der Auswahl der Gerichte zu helfen oder Empfehlungen auszusprechen. Insgesamt ein eher enttäuschender Besuch, den wir nicht weiterempfehlen können.

EDIT: Se alle 22:11 la cucina era già chiusa da un'ora, dovreste correggere i vostri orari dicendo che chiudete alle 21, non alle 24. ORIGINAL: Dicono essere buono, ma non abbiamo potuto mangiarci perché - nonostante chiuda a mezzanotte - alle 22 la cucina è già chiusa. Chissà cosa fanno gli avventori per due ore...

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The worst food I've eaten in my life. They brought the wrong order, the sheep-woman poured wine and wanted to cheat. The order was waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Everything is salty, a lot of garlic. When the payment was made, the officer was rude. The prices indicated are one, when paying much more.

Pensavamo fosse un ristorante tranquillo, motivo per qui abbiamo atteso un ora per entrare. una volta entrati ci hanno messo 30 minuti per servirci anche se i tavoli sono 6 il pesce era così salato che se mangiavo il sale era meglio, la carne era cruda un ragazzo ha chiesto l'insalata con il polipo che costava 7€ gli hanno portato il polipo al prezzo di 17€ lo stesso polipo che ha vomitato tutta la notte, a me personalmente il cibo e piaciuto però 12 euro per 3 gamberetti mi sembra eccessivo per non parlare del fatto che la proprietaria mi ha ribaltato addosso il vino( per sbaglio ) e dopo aver chiesto scusa non mi ha dato neanche un fazzoletto bensì mi son alzato io per chiederlo poi voleva farmi pagare la bottiglia 14€(prezzo pieno) anche se la metà mel ha buttata addosso lei ,al supermercato la medesima bottiglia costa 3€ in fine l'animo si è scaldato perché 154€ per una cena del genere in 5 è esagerato L'unica che merita un complimento e la cameriera per quanto riguarda la cucina la proprietaria e il locale una stella e troppo.

Very very expensive restaurant. The price would be justified if the meal was a culinary experience worth repeating but sadly for us it was not. I would say its just below avarage in quality. They use a hell of a lot of salt and don't have any free range eggs or meats. Basically they see you as walking $$$$$ signs. I didn't see any Portuguese locals there. Just tourists with more money then sense. I will say I liked the house plants and the music being played in the backround hence the 1 star. We have eaten in all sorts of places all over Portugal for around 20 years and never have we felt so ripped off. Will never go back!!
