Tiene una vista al arco única! Excelente experiencia de principio a fin. El restaurante tiene una vista espectacular que por sí sola ya vale la visita, pero la comida realmente supera expectativas. Todo lo que probamos fue de gran calidad: las tostadas de pulpo y camarón están deliciosas, el filete en su punto, la ensalada César muy bien preparada y las costillas llenas de sabor. Incluso los postres fueron un gran cierre para la cena. Además, al terminar de cenar descubrimos el bar con piano en el piso inferior, un detalle que eleva muchísimo la experiencia. El espacios del restaurante, con un bar al centro y un ambiente muy agradable. El pianista toca música conocida y crea una atmósfera relajada y divertida. Brian el mixólogo es estupendo y muy amable al igual que todo el equipo que desde la entrada están al pendiente del todos los detalles. El horario del piano (aproximadamente de 7 a 10 pm) es ideal para quienes viven en San José, ya que permite disfrutar la velada y regresar con tranquilidad. Sin duda es un lugar al que dan ganas de volver y de recomendar. Volveremos muy pronto. ¡Felicidades y gracias!

This place is a gem of a find. Rooftop spot with beautiful views of the Baja peninsula. Chill ambience with live piano music. Excellent service. Good wine. And the food was truly delicious. All the dishes we had were spectacular: the catch of the day served as a sashimi appetizer, the llama style seafood entree and the rib eye steak. The cauliflower mash was to die for; tasted like creamed butter. The grilled octopus appetizer was the only so-so dish we had. I would definitely come back!

I Went for breakfast , fantastic food and fortunately it wasn't very crowded so the service was amazing. Most of all the view while you eat is unbeatable. I've been staying at my home away from home for years down the road from this unique restaurant and boutique hotel but never noticed it because it looks like a big house. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Cabo San Lucas while experiencing excellent table service and dinner starting with amaretto cocktail, grilled asparagus & portobello with goat cream, tortilla soup, roasted beet salad, fresh clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl, Octopus Spanish style, followed by the featured choice on the menu called 'Puerta Vieja' with Lamb, Jumbo Shrimp, Lobster, Mashed Potato, Rice Pilaf, Green Beans, Melted Butter and Mint Jelly. Wow! This dinner had it all and was surprisingly The Best Tasting meal I've ever had in a restaurant!!!!! 😋 After dinner, our server walked us upstairs to see the Boutique Hotel that's filled up every weekend. Gothic atmosphere and design with roof top pool and bar, 12 rooms, and more changes coming in the near future. Puerta Vieja is definitely a must visit restaurant off the Hwy 1 corridor across from Fresko and Home Depot. Hats off to the Chef!!!!! 👨‍🍳

I have been here 3 times now and every time has been amazing and better than the last. Today was the best. I highly recommend coming to Puerto Vieja. Omar and Ernesto looked after us and we’re absolutely spectacular. The waiter did not rush us at all. Meal was amazing. Love coming here because we can use the Cabo Passport card to get a two for one meal. Nice quiet atmosphere.

We have been to a lot of places out here….this one had some great reviews so we decided to try it. One of the best places we have tried out here. Food and prices we great, and the sunset was spectacular …..inside had air conditioning as it was a little hot, but of course the food makes the place Had a martini and they stuffed blue cheese olives, one of the best martinis I have had in Cabo, got the crab cakes and rib eye, so good, friend got the New York steak, not as good as the rib eye. Another got the chicken with basil, she said it was one of the best things she has had, excellent and very rich….definitely going back!!! So we sent back a week later for our anniversary and for the lamb, lobster and shrimp special, super good, I liked the shrimp better than the lobster but you can’t bet there service and prices. Service was awesome also!

Glad we were seated in the AC dining area during August, made the experience much more comfortable for our group. Our waiters, Omar and Brian, were so attentive, knew the menu, and answered all our questions. Menu offered something for all of us. The food was excellent, started with margaritas, mojitos, and sangria, large and well-made. Appetizers were so good, pear salad, beet salad, caesar salad, and grilled octopus. Entrée ordered, grilled lamb, surf n turf, seafood enchiladas, seafood & chicken pastas. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and it was delicious. Prices were reasonable, and portions were large. The views were beautiful, we to the rooftop to take more pictures. Very memorable meal for us all, no rush on the service and we all felt so relaxed and well taken cared. We will return!

El lugar está bien, tiene vista al arco de cabo san Lucas; en la tarde si da un poco el sol hasta que obscurece. Las porciones no son demasiado pero son suficiente, la sopa de almeja no tenía mucho sabor el día que la pedimos, si buscas un lugar diferente e esté bien.

Muy relajado y privado el ambiente.Le doy 4 estrellas porque el desayuno que probé muy sencillo para mi gusto y sazón simple. Y del precio ¡wow!( $500 unos chilaquiles). Así que si vas al lugar ten en mente que vas a gastar. Algo que me tocó es que no tenían leche deslactosada, me sorprendió para ser un lugar tan propio. Estacionamiento limitado, pero con personal que te apoya muy amablemente. Eso sí, tiene una vista hermosa al arco de Cabo San Lucas.🤩

Puerta Vieja is a fun little place, in a hotel right along the main highway in Cabo. We dined there on a friend’s recommendation. When we went there (July 2024), there was a lot of construction going on, not much of a view. The staff told us they’re planning to open the new restaurant on the roof in the Fall of 2024. Even with the shades closed, the evening sun made the dining area fairly warm. The service was good, the wine list varied, and the food was very good. The meal proceeded slowly, but each dish was made to order, so no real complaint about the time. All the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. From cocktails, to wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert everything tasted great. The 4-star rating will likely improve to 5-star if the ambiance/view issue is fixed when the restaurant moves to the roof. They will need some way to keep it cool in the summer though. We’ll definitely go back once the move to the roof takes place, but perhaps when it’s cooler. Recommend Puerta Vieja.

Lo he visitado dos ocasiones la primera ocasión nos gustó y por ello regresamos. Pero la última ocasión no cumplió las espectativas. Los alimentos fueron de un menor gusto. La vista del lugar es muy linda y el piano es muy bueno.

El lugar es muy agradable y tiene de las mejores vistas de cabo, el personal es muy atento pero la comida me dejo de que hablar. La taza de precios es Alta pero es comprensible por la zona. Sus platillos son muy experimentales en cuanto a sazón pero nada balanceados, creo que fácilmente se podría mejorar haciendo ajustes en cuanto a como se preparan los platillos conservando el mismo menú. (Pues lo que dice el menú es atractivo). Y mi sugerencia adicional es no ofrecer agua natural si al final te la van a cobrar, deja mal gusto no por el precio, más bien por la acción pues el servicio es realmente bueno pero entiendo que son políticas del restaurante.

Rooftop view were nice. Food was absolutely mediocre. The chicken basil was tough, the crab cakes tasted nothing like crab; do not get them! The drinks they initially served tasted like they had zero alcohol. My dad had to ask for them to be remade. We were staying at sirena Del Mar and thought that hotel restaurant was much better in taste. All in all we paid about $145 for 3 for a sub par dinner.

A great place turns into a nightmare at the end of the meal when the wait staff wanted more too than 15% on our bill. Instead of thank you, I had to have my wife deal with this because I so pissed off! After thinking about it later, we realize that we had problems with the service and the food not cooked right. We were having a good time with our friends we overlooked the fact that we weren't satisfied this time. The lobster was overcooked. My friend didn't enjoy it. We had four beef filets, of which only one cooked medium rare, the rest was cooked medium. We didn't send back. The wait staff didn't serve us as we needed them. Taking away items without asking us first and bringing the dinner breads after we finished eating our main course. I should have given them little tip after the waitress went off on us. Now we need to think twice about going back there! The food and view are wonderful. The service is lacking. If they can get it together about not forgetting about bringing the soup and tapping off the water, they would get a five star rating. In any case, we can live with this and enjoy the piano music, arch view and great company! Since we enjoyed the meal and view last week. We invited our friends to join us. We all had the beef filet. The soups and Caesar salad were good, too! We're so glad we went to this wonderful roof top restaurant looking right toward Land's End and the Arch. The beef filet was delicious. It was big thick and tender. Great tasting. The casaer salad was a treat using small tomatoes and tiny cut salad items. The Lobster soup in the small wheat bread bowl was good, too! It was nice sitting at the table looking at the great view and having a romantic evening together!

Bonito lugar!, lástima que los platillos dan mucho que desear. Esperas más por lo que estás pagando. Te llevan tu platillo incompleto, sin iniciativa a qué si pediste café te lleven azúcar, o hot cakes, no te llevan miel y mantequilla, y cuando se lo pides. 10min a qué aparezca un mesero, y 15min para que te lo lleven. O te tomas el café así. O ya que te traen lo que pediste el café o tú platillo ya está frío.

La sopa de almeja es muy recomendable; fuera de eso, es ordinario y caro (claro, muchos en Los Cabos han decidido fijar sobreprecio para turismo extranjero). La carta es corta, no hay carta de bebidas, y el lugar tiene decoración vieja. La vista… es bella, sin embargo opacada por los terrenos descuidados continuos.

Fuimos con mi familia en horario de comida y la experiencia fue muy decepcionante. El servicio fue pésimo: nos hicieron esperar mucho tiempo para traer los alimentos, la comida llegó fría, nos entregaron el menú de cena y además no tenían disponibles varios platillos. El mesero mostró poca comunicación con cocina, lo que hizo todo aún más lento y desorganizado. Es una lástima, porque el lugar tiene una vista espectacular, pero la experiencia no estuvo a la altura.
