You won’t find a more historical restaurant in the historical town of Cádiz than this one. And it’s not just appearance and looks, it is also about good food. Be it breafast, lunch or dinner. It all matches the historical environment perfectly. If you can appreciate the grandeur and history of this truly original building that matches the food, you cannot ignore this restaurant. Just beautiful and delicious.
Muchas gracias.
Oh my goodness! What a find. We had the tapas menu and tasted as many dishes as we could. Everything was beautifully and carefully presented and as delicious as it looked. The service was friendly and efficient. We loved everything about this stunning restaurant. Thank you!
The place is amazing as for the food and the staff. There is a piano bar on Saturday night and it was amazing for my little 2y old boy who loves the piano. He was dancing in front of the piano and we had a great night for the birthday of my wife. We can come the day after to drink a gin tonic and for an ice cream for him. The staff was amazing we recorded wonderful videos for our family
Listen, I am a fussy person so I was a little concerned about the few negative reviews. Let me put it this way, if any of my friends asked where they should eat in Cadiz I would have no hesitation in sending them here. The atmosphere, the service and the food were first class. The whe bill with wine came to €150 for five courses including first class wine and we have paid €100 for mediocre tapas and wine elsewhere in the city. Ignore the bad reviews, book the window table for dinner and enjoy. If I could give ten stars I would.
Once again Cadiz delivers above and beyond. This is a beautiful restaurant with decor which is a reminder of a different age. I chose the set Tapas menu and it was gorgeous. The croquettes were amazing and full of flavour and melted in my mouth. The omelettes were so different to what I would normally consider that dish to be but they were super tasty. The fish was superb and the desert, again something I have never tried, was so, so good. The service was quick and efficient along with lovely smiles. The price was perfectly OK for the quality of the food and overall experience. I'm going to use this space to say how wonderful Cadiz has been. Every day has provided a memory to treasure and an experience to remember. The people are lovely and friendly. I am so sad to be going home but I will definitely return soon. Oh, and here's a ❤️ right back at you, thanks for the coffee.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, the level of service was exceptional. Our server demonstrated a high degree of attentiveness and expertise, providing insightful recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. The culinary offerings were remarkable; the tapas were expertly crafted and aesthetically pleasing. The ambiance was welcoming and conducive to family gatherings, contributing to an overall memorable evening. I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant for anyone seeking an exquisite dining experience. This is our third visit, and one of our favorites tapas place so far!!!
Everything about this restaurant is 10/10. The interior is truly magical, the staff are really friendly and attentive, and all the items on the menu that we ordered were really tasty, including the desserts. I personally ordered a steak and it was truly one of the best I’ve had. I 100% recommend going here for lunch.
I saw a recommendation online to come here to see the fancy decor, so I did. I was not disappointed! It is as glamour as the photos. I got a breakfast for 11 euros. I thought it would be more considering the fanciness and history. The ham and bread was good but of course nothing ever special. I also got the cafe con leche. That’s quite good. I was most amused when they gave me the pineapple juice and it’s from Minute Maid. This is a nice place to chill from walking and just enjoy the gorgeous decor, the artwork and the history behind the place. But I would not come here for the food.
The dinner we had here was a happy accident. We were strolling through beautiful Plaza de la Candelaria saw this stunning café and popped in for a glass of amontillado. Noticed the interesting tapas …

This restaurant came as a lovely surprise to us. The staff in particular were super and the food was delicious. The ambiance was reminiscent of the Belle Epoque era of gracious dining. Strongly …
Called in for brunch before heading back to Seville. Excellent breakfast / brunch menu. We arrived at 12.30 and shared the Royal breakfast / Brunch that was generous for 2 and all was delicious. …
Just went in for a coffee Decoration is unique but i would change the chairs, they are veeery uncomfortable and hurt your legs when sitting. Also, would arrange restaurant more nicely, looks little bit unorganized, with that shield just near the entrance, poor nice piano pushed in the wall in stead of showing his beauty and lighting up the space... I didnt eat so can't say what's the food like
Visited here today on my day trip to Cádiz. Lovely period Restuant. The service was good, however possibly a touch slow and the food was nice, however very, very small portions. We just had soup and two peppermint teas. I think this place would be lovely for an evening meal. Cost, soup £12.50 and peppermint tea £7.50 per person. That all said, I would still return.
The decor inside is lavish with beautiful artwork on the ceiling. I felt like I was reliving the past from years ago. We were given 2 thick slices of bread with olive oil to dip our bread. Another plate of a mini portion of salad, with salmon pate and mini croutons followed before our appetizers. If you’re an out-of-town guest, make your reservations early. They seat you only at the time of your reservation. I am not sure why I was asked to make reservations even though we were the only people & 2 others who dined here. Food: 4/5 - we all ordered appetizers. The most interesting food was the small shrimp omelette that threw us off. See the photo. It was tasty though. Service: 4/5 - the food was brought out in a timely manner. Our server was average. Atmosphere: 5/5 - the place had a great feel to it.
Old Town, centrally located. Very beautiful restaurant with exceptionally good service & food. Prices very good. Ambiance terrific. Only tapas in afternoon but best you will find. We had the Tapas Set menu @ 26 euros. What a great value. 3 choices plus desert & glass of wine!! Highly recommended!

We went here based on the lovely photos. We understand the owner had sadly passed away but hoped it would be carried on . Unfortunately it was lacklustre.. made worse by a very rude waitress that back chatted us in spanish when I said we had been waiting … lots of lights were out on the lamps and attention to detail was lacking ..!9pm jut irony be repeating
The decor is fabulous, which is what attracted us. The restaurant menu looked great, so in we went for dinner. The wait staff though, seemed they did not want to be there. One in particular was most sour faced and displeased. We ordered the seafood paella for two, which was €120. We were expecting something amazing for this price and we were happy to pay thinking it would be worth it. However, it was far from worth the cost. It amounted to one prawn each and the tiniest lobster tail ever. It was no bigger than the prawn. The paella was overly salty and after the waitress served it up, she headed back to the kitchen with quite a lot of the rice left in the serving dish. We thought she might return and top us up with the rest of the dish that we were paying a fortune for, but she did not. We felt hugely ripped off!
A beautiful building. Nice staff. Tapas very good but small portions. Drinks very expensive. Food brought to table on noisy trolleys. A bit affected.

The food is quite good and the decor is amazing, clearly, but the service is really patchy... Some of the staff were good-natured, but overall, we felt it was like they didn't want us to be there…
We Had high hopes , the building was stunning and overlooked a pretty square. We had stopped for breakfast in the morning and thought how lovely it was , we decided to book for supper. Supper-The …
