We went here for my Fiancé’s birthday. We’ve been here before and are just so impressed by the decor, the ambiance, and of course the food and drinks. They were able to seat us when we were ready and our server Emily did an amazing job taking care of us. She was able to keep up with the big party of 17 people we brought, recommended some great drinks to the people that hadn’t been there before, and certainly made my Fiancé’s birthday one to remember. Dennis the owner is so spectacular and treated us like family. We went back to the club and had an amazing time dancing the night away. I highly recommend this restaurant for any and all events you have or even a casual night out. We will definitely be coming back and we hope to get Emily again!
Our wedding day was amazing!!! I planned it in a such a short time, with the help and advisement of the entire team: Janice, Lou, Reynaldo and Kelvin pulled my vision together perfectly. Dennis and team were very flexible, accommodating throughout. The price, service, food, drinks and decor went beyond what we imagined. My guests rave about this place and many have become frequent patrons. Highly recommend this local gem for all your pleasures.
Great atmosphere, clean, well designed dinning area and bar. The food was delicious, and authentic. It’s latin fusion. Good prices and varied menu. Delicious Caribbean cocktails. Our server Beverly was excellent, friendly, professional, and her recommendations really hit. The bar manager Was very friendly and professional. He helped us security table for leaving giving him they had live music. Food is very delicious to have dinner but if you also want to make it a night out they have great options for live music, DJs and dancing. The dancing is in a separate area. It’s not the same place where you dine. I highly recommend this place specially having a latin background. The atmosphere was good for date night or a business meeting. Depending of the time.
Celebration for party of 9. Heard about La Fabrica Central with good Caribbean food and nightclub in the back of the restaurant. Off street parking. Walked in to restaurant and greeted by the maitre d, friendly, courteous and professional. Escorted us to our table which was a high table in the front of the restaurant in front of the bar and live band. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Music in the air and a bit loud but not intolerable. Restrooms were super clean and also spacious. Service was excellent by the waitstaff. Especially our waitress, Beverly who was awesome, attentive, polite, courteous and professional. Took our orders for drinks, appetizers and entrees. Great menu! Talking about a taste of the Caribbean, all our foods were prepared, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Authentic Caribbean. We ordered the ceviche mixto, tostones, chicharrón, yuca mofonguitos, churrasco, maduros, passion fruit salmon, croquetasde yuca, ropa vieja mofongo and pork. All served together in a timely manner. The drinks were Okay. They were a little inconsistent depending on who was making them. Music was excellent by the live band. Good way to work off all the food. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu and do some dancing💃🏻🕺🏻Or just eat! If you want to stay for the nightclub, it opens around 11:00 PM. A nice evening out or date night.
My friends surprised me by taking me to 'La Fabrica' to celebrate my birthday, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an amazing night. I was blown away by the incredible food—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. To make the night even more special, the waitstaff went the extra mile by singing a lively birthday song for me, making me feel truly celebrated. After our delicious meal, we stuck around to soak in the live music, which created the perfect energy for dancing and enjoying a few drinks with friends. The entertainment, ambiance, and outstanding service combined to make the whole evening truly magical. If you're looking for a spot that offers great food, fantastic music, and a fun, welcoming environment, I highly recommend 'La Fabrica.' It’s the kind of place that turns any night into a cherished memory!
I had a great time at this place. My friend and I went a little early so we had the whole dining room to ourselves and we stayed there for hours since the vibe was nice and the music was good and people start to file in and it looks like the dining room had completely filled up at the end of our dinner. The food was amazing and the drinks were awesome too. I especially loved the guava mock tail. Guava anything is amazing but this was particularly good. Highly recommend!
We got there about half an hour early but they were still able to seat us. Great service, very friendly staff. Overall, very very tasty food. The whole red snapper was perfectly crisped and the chicharron was crunchy where it needed to be without breaking your teeth, and melted in your mouth everywhere else. The sangria was the best I've had, sweet and tangy and bubbly. The only issue I had was with the sauces. It didn't feel like any of them belonged with the dishes they were served with. But that's minor thing in my book. The food was good enough to enjoy without sauce, too.
Came to this quaint Caribbean restaurant after a concert of mine got cancelled in Boston, and was looking forward to their diverse selection of Latin American foods. I had previously tried mofongo in the DR, and their shrimp mofongo was equally as delicious! Their ceviche was also to die for, as it tasted incredibly fresh and rich! Also shoutout to Alex, our amazing server, who made the evening very special for us!
We rented the back room club for a Quinceanera in March '24. Janice and the team helped us with the event and made everything fit our budget. They circulated plentiful and very tasty apps and small plates. We had an open bar for adults and open soft drinks for kids and the bill was reasonable. The decor was classy, newly refreshed gorgeous wall paper and so we didn't need to add much. Everyone had a great time. One late comer missed food service but they were easily accommodated on request. Highly recommended for events! The team ensured the music was queued so we were able to save on DJ.
Love this place ❤️ the food is so delicious and the drinks were strong. We sat outside next to a heated lamp on a 50 degree evening and definitely wasn't cold and the ambience was perfect. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had an awesome evening here.
This was my first time here after I heard some friends talking about it and it was an awesome place to come enjoy super good food, drinks, listen to some salsa inside in the lounge area, bar has a nice selection of drinks, staff was super friendly and courteous. I will definitely take the drive again. Keep up the good work guys and see you again soon.
visiting this wonderful establishment I was amazed by the ambiance and Menu options. After placing my order , waiter provided my drink order followed by appetizers and then entrees. Customer service was up to par.
I stopped by last night (Saturday, 2/8/25, around 9 PM) on a scheduled snow emergency day, but that didn’t keep people away! The $10 cover charge was inexpensive, especially considering that an incredible ensemble, Manolo Mairena ‘Pura Vida,’ was performing. The live music created a fun atmosphere—some guests danced while others simply enjoyed the show. The margarita was both delicious and reasonably priced, and the appetizers were delicious—some of the best fried cheese I’ve ever had! Everything was fairly priced. An added bonus was the snow gently falling outside while live music played—it felt magical. The staff were attentive and engaged, ensuring everyone’s safety without being intrusive. They managed the crowd well, making sure important spaces remained clear. Overall, it was a wonderful night, and I highly recommend this spot. Thank you for the great experience!
This is a great spot for both food and for nightlife. As popular as this place is, it's not very big (particularly in the front), so it's essentially reservation-only to eat here. Dinner also gets you in with no cover - otherwise, there's a $10 cover for the front lounge and $30 for the nightclub in the back. They have decent food and good drinks, so expect to spend. The service is also pretty classy and on par with the rest of the experience. For a group of 5, we ordered the salmon tiradito ($18), chicken roll ($20), lomo saltado ($25), and beef empanada ($6 for 1 large empanada), as well as plenty of drinks. All the orders came out quite quickly, which was great because I was definitely hungry. As with most restaurants of this caliber, the quantity of each dish is relatively small. We were still hungry, so we ordered another appetizer of avocado tostones ($20 for 3 pieces). All of the food was really good, though a bit pricey. After dinner, you can stick around to listen to the live band. There's always an eclectic crowd here that's diverse in both ages and ethnicities. It's a Latin-music spot though, so even when the DJ comes on, expect to hear a lot of Bad Bunny. It's a great weekend spot where you can dance the night away!
Had the best experience! I celebrated my 22nd birthday here for the first time. The atmosphere was perfect, had a live band playing. It was very welcoming. The food and drinks were incredible. Each of my 16 guests really enjoyed it. The servers and host were loving and helpful. I also can not forget the nightlife after words it was until 2am. We had a VIP section of 10 people with a bottle included with chasers and big bucket of ice. It was spectacular. If you come from a Hispanic background or love any Spanish category music such as reggaeton, salsa, Bachata, and merengue this is the spot. They as well add Afro beats. The price is very accurate for an incredible place like this. Thank you Fabrica! For giving us a wonderful experience. Till next time 🥵
La Fabrica is the place to be! The food is bomb! The live music is stunning! And the club downstairs is Littyyyy! I love the Passion Fruit Mojito 😍 & the staff is so cool! Shout out Jason Tatum!! 😅🙏🏼
I went last weekend and I enjoy it a lot! The salsa band was amazing, I went alone and met some new friends, I ate a volcano sushi roll which was good, the environment inside the club is also great, good music, good service, everything good, recommended if you want to enjoy a truly Latin party
There's a live band sat. nights. Make a resy @ 7:30 to enjoy the latin music. The food is creative and tasty. Lots of smaller plates to share.
I came back to this restaurant after waiting over 3 years to return. OMG...It was definitely worth the wait...The food and the service was by far the best I had in quite some time...I'm not waiting any longer...I'm looking to make reservations for next week...
I love it here, every time i am here i feel home as a latina!!! always have so much fun and everyone is so nice
The nightclub at La Fabrica Central is such a vibe. Once the DJ comes on, it turns into a full Latin party — reggaeton, salsa, bachata, everyone actually dancing, not just standing around. It gets packed fast on weekends, but that’s part of the fun. Strong drinks, good energy, and lowkey feels like you’re not even in Cambridge anymore. Perfect spot if you want a fun, loud night out.
La Fábrica Central in Cambridge brings together bold Latin flavors and a vibrant club-like atmosphere, making it as much a nightlife destination as it is a restaurant. The space is large and energetic, with colorful murals, high ceilings, loud music, and lighting that shifts the mood from dinner to full-on party as the night goes on. The tacos and enchiladas are flavorful and generously portioned, and the margaritas are strong and well-balanced, adding to the celebratory vibe. As the evening builds, the DJ-driven soundtrack and packed dance floor give it a true club setting, perfect for birthdays, group outings, or anyone looking for dinner that turns into a night out.
we came here for the bad bunny super bowl, it was sooo fun! Great music, great drinks and amazing vibes. Even out uber driver on the way there was saying how much he loves La Fábrica, and that there’s not another place in Boston like it. highly recommend!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed meal or a special night out. The food and drinks were absolutely great, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. What truly sets this place apart is the owner and staff. They attend to every guest with genuine attention and professionalism. Everything feels organized and thoughtfully managed, and you really feel seen and heard throughout your visit. It’s rare to find a spot that combines excellent food with such exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend!
I cannot thank La Fabrica and their incredible team enough for hosting my going away celebration, honoring 17 years of industry service as I prepare to embark on a new chapter abroad. From the very beginning, the experience was thoughtful, proactive, and exceptionally well organized. A collaborative group call was held in advance to ensure expectations were clear and aligned, including Dennis, the owner, which immediately set the tone for how seriously the team approached this event. Special thanks to Jorge for spearheading the planning in partnership with Vic. On the day of the event, execution was seamless and intentional, with Lu managing operations effortlessly, Nico handling sound with precision, and bartenders LK and Gustavo delivering top-tier service throughout the night. The staff’s attentiveness, positive attitudes, and genuine energy did not go unnoticed. I was beyond impressed, and many of my guests shared how welcomed and cared for they felt from start to finish. La Fabrica has truly been a home away from home for me over the years. I am deeply grateful for the lasting friendships formed with this team and could not have imagined a more meaningful place to close out my Boston chapter. If you are searching for a venue that delivers excellence, professionalism, and heart, look no further. La Fabrica is the destination.
Went to La Fabrica several times and it is always an amazing time! Just celebrated a going away party for my best friend and the staff was were accommodating!! Thank you to Lu, Jorge for the wonderful help. Very detailed and over exceeded my expectations. Dennis and his team know how to throw events and would recommend 1000% !!!
ABSOLUTELY INSANE NIGHT!!! 🔥🔥 Kiara was THAT GIRL — best bottle service ever, so attentive, so fun, and made the whole night feel VIP as hell!! The club was LIT, the vibe was unmatched, the food was 🔥🔥🔥, and the energy was on 1000 all night!! This place is a WHOLE EXPERIENCE 😮🔥✨ 100/10, DEFINITELY coming back!!! 🖤🥂💃🏽
Isaura and nick were amazing host. The food was exquisite. The atmosphere, like always, ideal for our Spanish culture.
Jorge is such a treasure and helped my group have a great time at the nightclub after our party. this is such a good place to dance in Central—one of the most energetic, packed clubs in the area. the food is fantastic as well! great sushi, drinks, entrees, etc
The food here is great, highly recommend. Great music throughout the night. The club was exciting and the vibes were amazing, great service overall.
Coming from New York, I have high standards for bottle service, and Kiara met them. She was professional, attentive, and made the experience smooth and enjoyable.
We ordered the Lomo Saltado, ceviche, one beef empanada, one chicken empanada, and the maduros (sweet plantains). The meat was tender and flavorful, the empanadas were satisfying, and the ceviche was decent—nothing extraordinary. But the real standout was the sweet plantains: incredibly soft, perfectly caramelized, and melt-in-your-mouth sweet. They truly stole the show. While the food was enjoyable, it’s definitely on the pricey side. That said, dining in comes with perks—you can enjoy live music at no extra cost and receive a $5 discount for access to the party room in the back. Drinks were around $14–$15. I had an espresso martini during dinner, which was spot-on in flavor. We followed it up with mules—not very strong, but just right to keep the energy up. Overall, a great spot to dance and enjoy a Latin night in Cambridge!
The food and vibe was great. The staff were attentive and knew the menus real well. The music was appropriate as well. The menu was very diverse and creative and I can say the same for the drinks. If you are here in the later part in the evening there is a dancefloor in the back as well.
The food was great & I had a pretty positive experience when I had gone. Made reservations ahead of time & was seated almost right away. The food was delicious & the drinks weren’t bad either. The service was pretty attentive, inside was a lil bit too dark could barely see your food. But everything was pretty good specially the mofongo dish.
I went there a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to expect because of the mixed reviews. Ultimately I had a freaking blast!! The food I ordered was so freaking tasty. The band was amazing! I felt like I was transported to a different place and time. I had such a good time dancing.. I love the atmosphere! Care free and friendly vibe from guests.. I will be back!!
I’ve come to La Fabrica more often times for a night of dancing but never have I come to dine in until last night. To my surprise the food was delicious and the drinks were better than I thought. My friend and I ordered two mojitos, one passion and one mango, with less sugar than they usual would make one and by the heavens of the Gods, were they delicious. You could enjoy the mint with the taste of the fruits. They even came with an icicle that’s dipped in the drink to enjoy lastly. One knack was the timing of the drinks. I waited 30 minutes to get mine while the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes after my friend and I sat down got their drinks first. A bit of disappointment to see that. Anyhow, the food was great on our end. My friend and I ordered empeñadas, chicaron sushi roll and a steak dish. The empeñada was a new blend of crunch and minced meat with plantains inside (aka game changer). The only downside was it came out not as warm/hot as expected. The green side sauce it came with had a zingy taste that was delightful to my taste buds. Now that chicaron sushi roll was bomb! If you like pork plantains and avocado, then this sushi roll is your best friend haha. It had everything we enjoyed. Lastly we had a steak tips plate with fries which I ordered wrong thinking I ordered the proper steak plate I wanted but I messed up. It was a bit salty but the Smokey taste that came out of the steak made up for it and the juicy tenderness. Overall great dining in experience for us and I will definitely come back. Plus it was pretty dope sitting two tables away from an NBA Celtics all star on my first time eating there!
Service was good, but when we arrived the place was empty, so I am not sure our experience would be the same at peak hours. Starters selection was awesome and I would definitely come back just for that. Main plates were OK, not great, but I guess they are trying to bring in a wider clientele other than people of the Caribbean like me. Beer selection was ok too. Now, for those who like the hard stuff, they Will definitely find some good stuff here. The ambience in the restaurant is nice, with good music and decor.
The food was delicious. we got the appetizers. the ceviche and octoous salad were the best. we ordered one more fron them. i got the coconut milk rum drink. it was really good. the tres leches was delicious as well. the only reason i gave 4 stars not 5 was the service was pretty slow. we were there on saturday night and there was a luve music which was a nice add.
Tapas were great! The mofongo was dry, drink was ok. But they had a live band playing from 8:30-10:30pm, then a DJ.
Very nice ambiance so far! The waitstaff look busy but empty hands 😑😑😑 I like the vibe but the staff can do better with their seated tables!
When we walked in, we were not greeted and no one was at the host stand. We waited there for about 5 minutes, employees saw us but ignored us until one employee spoke up and helped us. The food here is not great, especially if you are Latino and know what good Latin food tastes like. The food lacks flavor/salt and is overpriced for the portions (many other reviews say this). A large steak was just about the same price as a mini beef ropa vieja mofongo or whole fried fish. $6 for one small empanada. Their apps are too small share. Prices did not make sense. We had a large group and only one person was satisfied with their food. Our service was okay, server was nice but we were overcharged for a few items that were doubled on the receipt. We noticed after getting home. They do not answer the phone EVER. So money is lost. Drinks were very small, filled with ice but tasted great. Best thing we had. The atmosphere is really nice. Live music and beautiful decor. Parking is hassle, public transportation may be best. Overall, the restaurant is gorgeous but we will not be back due to the food. Very disappointing.
First and foremost I would like to say I understand that they have special rules and implications with their liquor license. What I don't understand is why they don't outline it in reservations past 10PM. My wife made a reservation for us both at 11PM as a way to ring in the new year and when we got there we were denied our table falsely led to waiting for almost half an hour just to be told no. It was almost 12 o'clock so almost New Years and we were out in the cold, in a shady area might I add before you come here keep in mind that at night and maybe even in the day there will a lot of unhoused individuals screaming or fighting and police presence. Needless to say my wife was on the verge of tears with everything as almost all restaurants were closed or no longer taking food orders. We scrambled to find one and sat down just before New Years saving what was truly a terrible night and New Years Eve courtesy of La Fabrica. I had truly been interested in their live salsa and my wife too but I think we will find another place before ever coming back and even when we complained directly with the manager about the lack of clarity he did not seem sorry and just brushed off. I will also add that we knew there was a nightclub and believed that might require ID but the restaurant outlined heavily the lounge or restaurant area and the nightclub area making us believe it was two distinct spaces within the establishment it was not in fact when we got there just one giant room and one giant mess of people and a lot of the tables were just shared from what we could see. Truly a joke of establishment and management.
Went to the nightclub area to the bad bunny watch party and at 10:50pm the concert was shut off . Completely disrespectful to the people that went there for it. I wish i stayed home and watched it from home. Paid $30 just to miss half of it.
Been there before was treated like loyalty. ...but today 11/15/25...! .tonight was different (a day before my birthday!) And experience that I would never forget( FELT LIKE I WAS INTRUSIVE)
I went to this establishment on Saturday night 8/16. I'm a Black woman who arrived with two white friends and a biracial friend. My biracial friend and I both had hats on. We were told to take them off. We did so when asked. When we entered the club we saw by the door a white Hispanic man had his on. I questioned the door woman about it and she said he had been in the establishment before the restaurant transitioned into a club which implies the no hat rule exists only once you’re entering the club space. When I spoke to the bouncer about it she said ‘let me call my manger’. I said that wasn’t necessary. And immediately after, a white woman entered behind us with a hat on. I then questioned the bouncer again. Again, all the bouncer would say is ‘ let me call the manger’. She did so and the manager, a white Hispanic man, came and spoke to me. He said the white man with the hat had been there before the restaurant transitioned into a club. I then asked why the white woman who had a hat on was allowed entrance immediately after me. He said her hat As I left I informed him that enforcing a rule for black people and not white people was racist. I told him he was racist. At that point he threatened to call the cops and told me I was in his personal space. That made it clear to me they were racist. This place is blatantly racist. If your black don't come here. They don't want our business.
The truth is I recommended this place to my GF for Valentine’s and finally had the opportunity to go for Valentine’s day. We arrived at 12:10 am, with plenty of time they close at 2am, and I was told that we couldn’t go in because they were at capacity. So, we waited and saw 20+ people leave the establishment and still were not allowed in… just 2 people my GF and I. We were two people looking to close our Valentine’s Day at La Fábrica, they were still open for another 1.5 hours. I will not recommend this place to anyone…
My friends and I, who are visibly Hispanic and Mexican brown women, had a really upsetting and discriminatory experience here. We arrived around 10 PM, which is still early, and the first bouncer, who was a person of color, told us there was a ten dollar cash fee and was very polite when giving us directions to the nearest ATM. As we were walking to get cash, the other bouncer, a white passing man, stopped us and asked, “I don’t want to waste your time, but how much have you been drinking.” We were completely sober. We had one drink earlier in the night and were perfectly fine. It felt like he was trying to find an excuse not to let us in. After this happened, we looked at their reviews and realized we were not the only ones. You can scroll back years and see the same complaints from other Hispanic and Latino people who were treated unfairly or turned away for no real reason. Clearly this has been an issue for a long time and they have no interest in fixing it. Honestly, it was our mistake for not reading the reviews beforehand, because everything we experienced lined up with what others have been saying for years. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I am posting this so other Latina women and people of color know what to expect. There are plenty of places in Cambridge where people are treated with basic respect, but this is not one of them.
The club in the back of the restaurant used to be good, the only good latin club in boston maybe?. Now it attracts a crowd (men) that just stand on the dance floor and don’t dance so that brings down the energy of the whole place.
I walked in a normal human being and was immediately treated like I violated an ancient prophecy. No explanation. No warning. Just a sudden vibe shift and an escort to the exit if you’re anything other than white wouldn’t recommend this place. To this moment , I don’t know what rule I broke—breathing too confidently? Standing too legally? Existing in the wrong font? The staff moved with urgency like I was a plot twist. If you enjoy mystery, confusion, and being removed for reasons known only to the universe, this is absolutely the place for you.
The bouncers were disrespectful with us. They tried kicking us out while we were calling the uber to leave. First, we thought it had to be for being in the no-cover area, but we had all paid $40 covers, we were not causing any trouble nor being disrespectful. Other people inside were looking for trouble and causing a scene and calling us racial slurs, the bouncers didn’t seem to mind them whatsoever. It’s a shame that one can’t feel safe in a place like this especially in Cambridge.
