I completely forgot about this place, and it seems like others have overlooked it as well and forgotten that they also serve Tastee Freez! 🍦 One unseasonably hot night🌡️we drove to 3 different Jack in the Box locations trying to get an oreo shake. The first had recently changed their hours, the second was all out of shake ingredients and said they could only make vanilla, the third (across the street) was completely sold out of shakes from the hot day. Then, low and behold, there's a Wienerschnitzel across the street and they look like they're still open. I wonder if they have shakes? Not only did they have oreo shakes, they can make shakes with all different flavors of cereal, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruit Loops. They have all sorts of cold treats, and a special dessert at a low price for each day of the week! 🍧 The shake had big pieces of oreo cookies in it and lots of whipped cream! 😋 This part of town can be slightly sketchy but it's really convenient; they are open late, have a drive-through and walk-up window. Great deals too!

Just as it was when was a kid! However they seemed short staffed this visit one girl taking orders and handing then out ans one cook. Not too bad but one more person would have helped them out.

Love to get chili cheese fries and chili cheese dogs here. Burgers aren't anything special. Corn dogs are great snacking while driving food.

Open late. Always fire when you are craving some late night greasy food. They always are adding new things and changing the menu up. I don't go here often but I do crave it sometimes. Polish dogs are fire, chili cheese fries are a must, my girl loves the mini corn dogs, jalapeno poppers 🔥 and off course the chili dogs are bomb. The lemonade is fire too. Not too many locations left makes it hard to find one. But worth the trip. The drive thru is always fast. They never seem to get my order wrong. They also have an outside dining area and a counter to order from.

Went there for early dinner. Had the fish 🐟 and chips it was so yummy 😋. To bad that it will only be there for 1 month. The employee said that it is there for a limited time only. When we were kids we used to go to the wienerschnitzel every single day no kidding we would bring back dozens of chili dogs for all of our co-workers and then they close the wienerschnitzel in Santa Cruz we were so sad and it is been almost 35 years since we have been to wienerschnitzel. last week my wife and I went over to San Josewe were actually sitting at Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru window and looked over and saw the wienerschnitzel I said shall we go she said yes we cross the street and boy were we glad we did brought back so many memories it was like we were kids again .tasted exactly the same .And guess where we're going to go the next time we go to San Jose wienerschnitzel great service hot food tastes just like it did 35 years.. ago It's only 17 miles we might just go for the heck of it will be worth the trip.. but I like to see one comeback Santa Cruz if possible that'd be nice you have too customers immediately

This is my holy grail Wienerschnitzel. Since 1976. Through the building drive thru as the gods intended. Open your window at the pickup and the smell if wiener bliss floods into your car. Unmolested, fine fare, sit and watch the cruisers on Camden Ave. It's the best of the best.

Chili Cheese Dogs? Yes please 😃

This place has very easy access for anyone who has kids or is handicapped. The counter top where you place your order is at waste height, and has wheelchair access. There is handicapped seating available also. It is in a great location close to the freeway, easy to get to as a pitstop off the highway, and jump back on the road. Fast service, friendly employees, made my order correct. The only complaint is there is a slightly low clearance for their drive thru 7' ?". Not sure the exact height but I don't think you can fit through there with a taller truck, or if you're hauling anything behind you that's got any height on it. Overall good service, convenient location, good food😊

They have veggie dogs that actually taste good. Before Wienerschitzel got them, the only good veggie dog I had was in Golden Gate Park about 10 years ago. They now have AI taking your order at the drive up. I wasn’t too sure it would get the order right, but it did. I’m not happy about the AI, but I know how hard they work in super cramped conditions.

Unexpectedly, we had our order taken by an AI, so that was pretty neat! We didn't have any problems with the AI taking the order (as in, it was accurate, no mistakes). Food was great! I always get the Kraut hotdog and some mini corn dogs. Great food and friendly service! I love their jalapeño poppers better than the ones at Jack in the Box.

Hard working, focused employees, practicing safe food handling. My favorite is a Polish Sausage in a Pretzel Bun with mustard and add sauerkraut! My favorite location is 1330 Camden Ave, Campbell, CA, right near freeways 17/880, and 280. The staff there are the most friendly, and the most likely to get me no calorie sugar packets, even if they need to walk over to the storage unit. Also, they confirm the auto order machine to be sure I get what I want. I also order plain hot dogs, a hamburger patty, or a vanilla soft serve cone for my dog as a treat. AND, Weiner schnitzel is one of the ONLY places that still respect older folks and provide a much appreciated discount on my meals. I drive through about 4-6 times a week!

The food was good, except the pricing has raised up through the roof expensive. For what used to be a 3 for $3 meal, then became 3 for $5 for a bit, and eventually turned to 3 for almost $10 now is outrageous. The time, money, and effort altogether isn't fully worth such an expensive meal.

Jalapeño poppers are LIFE. lol place is always happy and open. The girl with the tattoo down her right arm is cute 😍 . All the girls here are super pretty. I don't think a guy works here I've never seen one lol anyways. The walk up service is usually fast and the drive through is busy around dinner and lunch time like normal. It will always be "der Weinerschnitzel" to me. They are a fun diversion from the typical fast food place. They have a broad menu for both food and drinks. They also have daily ice-cream deals. :)

Great late night fast food. Unfortunately for me, it was so popular last night the drive up line was out to the street. If you're willing and able, they do have fast walk up service. From the look inside, all hands are on deck to get your food to you asap.

This is my favorite fast food and most likely always will be. I have great memories of eating here with my mom and sister when I was little. It still has that nostalgic flavor and that's why I love it. When I ate at this location the person who helpes was rude and didn't want to change my order, and gave me dirty looks but that wont change how much I love this food, but if she was nicer I would have totes given 5 stars. I always get chili cheese fries and chili dogs and my girlfriend usually gets the chili cheese burger, and the food was great.

Best corndogs! I forgot to order a Polish sausage sandwich :( I also bought a $10 trucker hat that says, "It's not a party until the weiners come out" 😂 I couldn't help myself. I was a bit thrown by the AI voice coming from the drive-through speaker, but something I'll have to get used to.

Been goin to this place since I was but a wee lad. Always have the best chili fries! Those southern lemonades make me dream of Texas. The workers put hard work into this food and I am proud to eat here. The only problem is that the outside is hot and uncomfortable and doesn’t make it much fun to eat here. Overall 4/5 will come again.

Plain hot dogs were good, but my Chicago dog got super soggy by the time I got home. Wish the fries had a little more color on them. Overall, good lunch when I'm with my kids. Drive thru was fast with great customer service!

Always seem to have difficulties handling some orders i.e. they don't understand once you start upgrading some of your hotdogs but not all of them. Ended up having all of them upgraded and some with cheese which we didn't ask for.

If you like chili dogs and stuff like that like I do you'll love it here! I really don't eat here anymore cos I always get heartburn if I eat the stuff I like here but it sure is GOOD.

This Wienerschnitzel has usually been a good place but yesterday when I went my order came out all wrong I ordered a couple cheeseburgers no onions and I got onions and no cheese on one and she's on the other I ordered a kraut dog I got a chili dog but other than that it has been okay.

Employees are pretty friendly but like any fast food place it can be hit or miss. Biggest downside is if the place is busy the drive through is very small so queueing is pretty bad

Is a standard drive thru where you can get hot dogs burgers, etc. Next to the freeway so it's easy to grab a bite and get going. Service is relatively fast.

Like everyone else the prices can be a bit high but the food is good when you have hungry kids.

Pro: Hot dogs! Con: Not to be snooty, but, um... Being from Chicago, these aren't great dogs. And chili was kinda thin and watery making even messier than expected. Overall it's okay though, I just miss the food of my people, lol.

I only gave Wienerschnitzel 3 stars because it's a fast food chain. Let's be honest you're not getting world class food and service here. HOWEVER, oh my God is it delicious. What is it about those hot dogs and that chili that just make me crave it. Oh yeah, you know I'm going back.

I took my Mom and she said the food was okay. They gave her a 10% senior discount, which was nice. The person taking our order spoke very little English, and had trouble getting the order right. It all worked out and we were on our way.

I got a chili cheese dog, a chicago dog(which was my personal favorite) & a kraut dog. The best time to go to this place is 11:30am right b4 lunch or else..you'll have to deal with the big crowds. The chile dog was a bit salty & wasn't really hot when they gave it to me but i was too hungry to ask for another one. They have daily specials but i guess the only good deal is the 99 cent ice cream 🍦 cone on Mondays. The day i went was on a Friday & they had the root beer float special but for 2 something i don't think thats really a special.

I am not sure how to rate this. I was in the drive thru pick up under the bridge waiting for my order. The staff guy walks from the storage room behind my car to the kitchen with a stack of maybe 12 burger patties frozen in his bare hands and no plastic or wrap around the patties. Yeah.

Got double charged on my debit card once here and went to clarify it and was redirected to night shift which also redirected because, "busy... Later please"

Unfortunately this chain has made no effort to upgrade their food for any healthier options that I can tell. It's really not anything I could recommend. And I didn't enjoy this indulgent trip down memory lane.

Not very generous serving sizes evn when you ask for extra. All th workers Iv encountered there are rude &never evn smile or thank you for your business. This is true for all th staff there except for ONE lady &if I knew her name Id give her a public thanks for being such a doll.

I like this store better than some others I've been to, but prices are way to high anymore. They seem to put less and less fixin's in the dogs, and charge you more. You know it costs them nothing to make those things. The store is pretty clean, though, and the dogs still have a good taste. They would taste better if they had more stuff on em.

I usually get good service from this location, so I think they are having an off day. Tried to call, but no one answered. I ordered today and when UberEats delivered it, it was the completely wrong order. Wrong name, wrong food. Delivery guy said that’s the order he was given to deliver to me. Received a refund from UberEats and ordered again. Same everything. When it was delivered, it had the correct name, but half of my order was wrong. I had ordered 3 all beef mustard dogs, yet received 3 chili cheese dogs. I just can’t order again today.

Been years since I’ve eaten at a Wienerschnitzel. Went to the drive through and quickly ordered 5 chili hot dogs and a large fry (them) “5 chili dogs and a large fry” (me) “yes please” (them) ok drive up. I drive up to the window and the employee is talking on her phone and ignoring me. The she says “what did you order?” Whaaat? There’s no one else here? “I ordered 5 chili dogs and a large fry” (she’s back talking on her phone again and ignoring me) another employee comes to the window and asked me what I ordered? (Really???) I told him and he rings it up, she tells me $10.31. I hold the cash out the window for a couple of minutes while she finished her conversation “unbelievable” The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is the chili dogs were ok “fries” old and stale. Won’t be going back. Ah-sta-la-v-sta baby

I paid for a texas bbq dog on a pretzel roll but received a chilidog which i dont like , fries were cold and the guy at the register was rude...won't go there again!!!

I never go to Wienerschnitzel, but I tasted some cold (hours old) mini corndogs the other day and decided to give them a chsnce. What a mistske. When I got my order (6x mini's), the dog was still cold in half of them. Gave y'all one chance. Never coming here again.

Yesterday I went through the drive Thur and they handed my bag of food to the person in front of me. The person looked in the bag and realized it wasn’t theirs and handed it back to the cashier, then I pulled up and they handed the bag to me I asked them if they gave my food to the other car he said yes but they just looked in the bag. I told him I didn’t want that food he looked at me and said nothing. I looked in the bag and all the items were wrapped but I still feel like that is not ok with the virus and flus going around. It has to be against some kind of health violation. Let’s just say I will never return to this location.

They cook far more corndogs than ordered and then reheat the remaining for future guests...resulting is rock hard food. Just terrible. Avoid, if possbile. Also, pretty much no customer service. Zero pleasantries.

I recently went to this wiener schnitzel to get some chili fries.the meal wasn't all that,but the guy that works here at night doesn't not understand one word of English. The service here is very poor. I waited almost 30 minutes for my chili cheese fries. There is also another employee there. She is a female worker. What's so funny is that I been here a few times, I always see this guy that must be the manager flirting, holding her n touching her inappropriate. I think I might write wiener schnitzel corporation about this. Other then that I will never come here again.

If I could give this a negative 5 stars, I would! It had been several years since I had eaten Wienerschnitzel and I doubt I will ever again. This location is right next to a hotel I was staying at. It was a rainy day so this was more for convenience rather than a desire to have a hot dog. I ordered 2 Chili cheese dogs and the Chili tamale, large Coke. The taste was what you'd expect, fair at best. What I didn't expect was the explosive diarrhea and projectile vomiting within 20 minutes of finishing the meal. Let me say, I take pride in my stomach's ability to handle almost any meal and it's usually up to the challenge. Not so with this meal! My body immediately rejected it! Which tells me there was something seriously wrong about it. I can't say enough bad things about this experience so I'll end it here. WARNING, EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

People that work there are very rude especially in the way they speak to clients. I went today and when I got my order the chili was dripping all over inside the bag. When I open one of the chili cheese fries they didn't put almost nothing of the chili. When I ask if they can add it they said it will be an extra charge because they measure by spoon. But the other chili cheese fries that I got was fully covered with chili so it didn't make sense. I told them they can charge me if they want but it needs to be served correctly. The person that hold me all she had to say was I'm not the one that packs the food. There's only like three people working with within each other. In my opinion, if you're going to measure with a spoon, it should be the same on both. And also customer service is very critical so if you you speak to someone it should be. With respect and not being rude for no reason. If I have a question regarding the food I order I should be able to ask so that way my order is not incorrect when I get it.
