Where to begin?! I returned from my experience - the 5 day vision quest - which was one of the best decisions in my 4 decades of life! I was excited but slightly nervous before arriving - most of these activities and medicines were new to me - but i was welcomed to a haven with beautiful surroundings and wonderful, caring people. The leader Sara was attentive and caring, and took time to address each persons individual needs, to help guide them through their stay. Some parts of the vision quest are challenging emotionally and physically. But we were guided through these really well, and prepared for what to expect. Sofia led the yoga and chanting sessions. These are things that I'm usually uncomfortable with, but her calm and magical nature made these really valuable. Shaman Rene was an exceptional guide through the Kambo & ayahuasca journey. He created an incredible setting, with unbelievable music, and also looked after each person there so we felt safe and secure throughout. The place is wonderful, in the forest with monkeys in the trees above. A nice room to myself, with hammock outside. I strongly suggest combining this with an effort to 'digital detox' - either switch off or reduce use of phones/computers to help absorb more of the positive energy around I thank everyone involved for the experience, the lessons, and Hacienda will always have a special place in my heart - and i hope to return again

The sweat lodge was a phenomenal experience, and the shaman was incredible. The massages were on point. We had a very hard time booking this, but I still give this experience 5 stars hands down.

If you're in need to reconnect with nature, this place is paradise. Just outside from Cancun surrounded by old trees and the cooling water of a cenote, yoga, the sacred fire of a temazcal steam house, plant based nutrition and out of body experiences in the Mayan jungle allow for special moments of rest and reflection. Sara, the owner was super helpful and I felt well taken care of. No better place to be.

I’ve somehow survived Temazcal purification ceremony! Sara, the owner, helped me organize transportation from Cancun. Once dropped by a taxi driver into a jungle, Jorge, the shaman (/pirate) took care of me and the rest of our small group. Drink a lot of water and eat light before ceremony; listen to your shaman and follow his (hers) instructions. You’ll learn a lot about Mayan traditions, your surroundings and your own body. I know I did! Thank you Sara and Jorge! P.S. I got copal at Mercado 23 the following day. What do I do with it again? All the best!

La Hacienda Cancun is a private and family-owned jungle paradise just 20 minutes from CUN airport! You feel the care and love. Delays caused me to be late upon arrival, but I was accommodated without issue. It just flowed, as did every day. I did not have to leave the property except to get the US mandatory COVID test the day before departure. I was able to arrange this. My time there was soul-satisfying; needed more than I knew, and it offered me sweet respite and rest. The Temazacal ceremonies and the yoga brought cleansing of mind, body, and soul. I learned so much from each session; each instructor guided me with passion and knowledge. The vegetarian food was delicious and served with pride and love. Say yes to this. You will not be disappointed!

A wonderful experience! Ideally, I would recommend drinking plenty of water and not eating before your temazcal session. The jungle location is beautiful, green and inviting! We each had a massage before the temazcal. Once inside, the intensity builds slowly and a humble and grounded attitude is needed to navigate the purging of physical and mental toxins. Sofia, the guide, was very welcoming, open and challenged us to challenge ourselves, which was very much appreciated. I loved the way she spoke to the group, while speaking individually to each one of us at the same time. Mind you, this activity isn’t for those looking to be entertained. It is for those who are open and willing to go through the fire, to burn away apathy and ego, to learn we are all connected. We are all one. Muchas gracias, muy agradecido, thank you!

Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. The food was superb, and Sara even arranged for a local masseuse to come in and give massages for us. The pool is picturesque, the property is well maintained, and transportation can be arranged to and from town if needed. We will be back!!

Air conditioning unit work when they want to, I wish they'd us better detergent when they wash. Windows didn't lock properly But other then them couple of issues. I really recommend the place when if your wanting to visit but not be so involved in the City itself. Bus route was only 20min to the Hoteleria beach front. And the people who work or own this place are very welcoming.

For club med Cancun guests. Worth the effort to book it. Service was fast & staff was nice., Overall food qty & taste were good. Salad as a starter was quite disappointing, bland. The provolone & tomato starter was good. Both snapper & chicken were good and servings were large. Didn't try dessert myself but my boys liked the cheesecake & ice cream. Outside seating is nice, probably lacks a bit of light. Main drawback, limited English/French understanding. Spent 5 min trying to explain that we had already ordered drinks, told us we have to re-order and they ended up bringing more drinks than needed..

Really lovely steak, cooked exactly as requested with some nice options available. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The mash and vegetables/sides were okay, but the wine list had some great choices. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

If it wasn't inclusive I'd put only 1 star. Steak was decent. Just decent. Mashed potatoes were nearly cold and tasted kind of like play dough. We asked for an extra sauce. They forgot it, no apologies. We never got checked on. We had to get up to ask for regular things like a refill etc... it's not quality service.

Do not try to go here if you aren't a club med guest. I was staying nearby and was rudely turned away.

Unfortunately, a server accidentally spilled hot grease from a freshly cooked steak onto my thigh while my baby was sitting right next to me. I was very concerned, but when I brought it to her attention, she didn’t seem to take it seriously. I had to ask for a cold, wet tissue myself to clean the grease. Thankfully, my baby wasn’t injured, but it could have been a serious situation. I hope better safety precautions and staff training are considered in the future.

They completely ignored my booking and allowed a SINGLE individual to buy out the ENTIRE hotel for the weekend I was supposed to be there!! Due to the oversight of the manager, Sara, I was informed upon arrival that I was not expected and that one individual had been allowed to book the week previous to my arrival. When I arrived and she saw my prepaid voucher, she then checked her online bookings and saw that I had indeed been booked since January 14th 2024. I was then informed that I would not be allowed to stay in the room I had just been given after the first night because of this individual's "special needs". That I would also not be allowed to use the few amenities of the hotel because I couldn't be seen or heard by this other individual. As a black woman, to be told you will be segregated was beyond disrespectful. When I informed them this would not be acceptable, I was then told that I would have to stay at a different hotel. Sara did find me two other hotels, both of which I had no time to research safety or comfort. I was forced to cancel my trip and fly home the next day. DO NO STAY HERE!!

Be aware if your BLACK or BROWN. We followed the process. Spoke with them at 5 PM and waited until 8 PM. We saw individuals of other race (predominantly white) enter and exit before us. If we want a table we need to pay $100 (USD) bucks to be seated. The 1st restaurant is called LA Hacienda

It's a hotel not a house with multiple bedrooms. Our group arrived under an incorrect description. There was a deposit to use the kitchen area, $16/meal, a gas charge, no TV in the rooms, and very difficult to find. The pool shutdown time was 10. Our large group decided not to stay there. It's basically a backwoods hotel.
