Really fine food in one of the most remote valleys of the Ligurian Appennini. Make sure you order the 'Millefoglie di manzo e pancetta in crosta di patate', a crusty roll stuffed with beef and bacon on a bed of oven baked potatos!

The Belvedere restaurant never disappoints. The Rebollini ladies were perfect. We chose the tasting menu with delicious dishes, especially the egg cocotte with Montebore pumpkin and amazing truffle. The only concern was the agnolotti, which we didn't like because they were overcooked and had a strange filling. Everything else was super. I can't wait to go back.

The restaurant is located in Pessinate, a village in the municipality of Cantalopo Ligure. Nestled in the hills, it was a perfect destination for a lovely motorcycle ride. Access is via the courtyard garden. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor terrace for dining al fresco, as well as an indoor dining area (perhaps even one upstairs). The ambiance is a mix of modern and rustic, with great attention to detail. The menu offers a wide selection: five appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts, with elaborate dishes revealing a cuisine that is anything but home-style. It's a shame that among all these options, they didn't consider vegetarian options, except for a first course and the classic cheese platter. When we ordered, the kitchen was able to make up for this with an off-menu appetizer. The wine list is surprising, organized by grape variety, which is a nice touch. The dishes we ate were all good, though my appetizer, specially prepared to offer me a vegetarian option, was a little subdued. The service was average. The bill was reasonable for the overall setting. Finally, Belvedere is a restaurant that can offer you a romantic evening in the hills, or a lovely meal with friends featuring refined cuisine. In my opinion, it's a highly recommended restaurant.

A restaurant located in a rural setting, renovated with refinement and attention to the right balance between respect for the environment and modernity. The menu pays homage to tradition, but revisited with respect, and the ingredients are excellent. My companion and I chose the surprise menu, which we were pleasantly surprised by. The only downside was the starter (seafood tagliolini), which was a bit salty, but since it was the only dish, we're confident it was an oversight. It's not the kind of trattoria where you fill your plate two or three times over, but you certainly leave pleasantly full. We looked at the wine pairings, and some impressed us more than others!

A super nice place hidden in a small village in between the hills and trees. The design with all the details is made with a taste, the service is quite nice and very welcoming, the food is creative and at the same time carries the traditions and the time spend there goes smooth and calm with all of this.

We visited this restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner, drawn by the special menu offered for the occasion. The restaurant is located in a beautiful renovated farmhouse, nestled in the countryside just outside the city: a romantic and welcoming atmosphere, with ample parking available. We chose the seafood menu, which turned out to be truly excellent. The dishes were refined, with unique and well-researched pairings (the seafood ravioli were fantastic, and the toasted scallops with licorice powder were very sophisticated). Although the portions were rather small, we were completely satisfied with the quality and flavor of the dishes. The menu definitely gets a thumbs up. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by very disappointing service. After being seated, we waited literally an hour before anyone came to take our orders, or even bring us water or bread. Even between courses, the waits were long and inexcusable.
