One of my most favorite Mexican restaurants in Santa Cruz county. Same people as always with the same great food. Birria is great! Been going for over 10 years now I think.

Excellent and delicious food, wonderful service. No complaints.

Had lunch with a friend here, we both had s couple of tacos. They were good, great flavor. Not greasy, the toppings were fresh and the salsa was spicy. There was no wait at 4pm, we were able to find a place to sit inside. The man who took the order was friendly and offered us chips and salsa while we waited for our food.

I went in today for a Breakfast Burrito (Chorizo, Potatoes, Egg and Cheese). It was most excellent. Nice and spicy flavor. Loved it. It comes with beans but I never have a breakfast burrito with beans - trust me it's a whole lot better with out it.

Food is excellent! Very authentic and reasonably priced. Love the salsa (spicy but not too hot) and fresh chips. So yummy! My new favorite Taqueria.

Open late. Good food. A little pricier then similar restaurants. Staff wasn't overly happy to be there but it was very near closing time when I showed up.

Good breakfast burritos with some tasty fresh salsa and chips to go with it. My chorizo breakfast burrito was a little plain, could have used some more veggies or something but overall still good. I tried some of the horchata and it was delicious. I'd probably come back again next time I'm in town.

Family of five. It was a bit pricy. Vegetarian options are pretty basic.

I thought the food was okay but their only source of water was a water jug pretty disapointing and it had a very uneasy feeling it onlu got three stars for the food.

The food was ok, somewhat bland. Service was poor, the girl that took my order was not friendly at all. I got my order to go and they gave me 9 chips. Portion size was good.

The food was pretty good but I wouldn't say it was anything special. The quesadilla was pretty standard as far as authentic Mexican restaurants go, I could probably make it myself. The nachos with carne Asada was better but again nothing special. If you're looking decent Mexican food I'd recommend it.

I ordered a carnitas super burrito. Pretty tasty but not much carnitas in the burrito.

Tasty food, but portions and presentation left much to be desired for the prices paid. I'll probably take the time to go try somewhere else a bit further away that costs the same, but its good enough if you are in a rush.

The food was okay but after my sister tipped they wanted to charge us for more chips. And when we asked for lids for the salsa we had to practically argue for them. We aren't coming back. Update my sister left her purse and held onto for her which was really nice. This place isn't that bad.

Very nice people. But nice doesn't pay for beans and cheese @ $10+ for a la cart cheese enchilada,and very small portions?? No Bueno.

There cheese is like water, i got enchiladas and they were really watery i got a breakfast burrito which was also watery after these two times i don’t think i’ll go back, it’s an odd tasting place in my opinion They are friendly

Omg never have I had worse food in my life. The enchiladas were White or Green? Was in Kansas,but wasn't Mexican.

This place is average at best the beans were very watery the flavor was okay my boyfriend had the posole I had a taco plate. we are both from san jose..so we are no strangers to Mexican food..its my favorite..the staff was nice...but again the food was average...we won't be returning..we both agreed we won't be going back..

Food was good, average, nothing too special, BUT the older woman who helped me was SO RUDE. Maybe she was having a bad day? Im pretty sure she was the owner or part owner so i feel she should have represented her restaurant a little better. I asked for extra chile and she yelled at me saying there was already ONE in the bag, one small cup of chile for a supper burrito and bag of chips? So i told her i didnt mind paying for a extra one being i wanted to eat comfortably and she yelled at me again! Saying 35cents!! She seemed bothered that i wanted chile. come on lady. . Bottom line she was rude as hell. Never going back because of this and its unfortunate because i work so close. Not recommending this place to any of my co workers. She def needs to learn about customer service.

Dine in, no customer service. Every thing was go get it yourself. It was basically to go food indoors with no customer service whatsoever, they even want you to bus your own table too. Priced for service included, but it's do it yourself service, not the place to go if you want to sit and relax. Food was nothing special.

I go there infrequently and the lady is always incredibly angry and unpleasant (probably why). I always conduct myself in a respectful, polite fashion, to anyone who reciprocates: homeless, drug addict, whatever. Today I went in, two ladies were in the back working but in plain view. I stood there for at least five minutes with no one even acknowledging me, and I noticed a bell on the counter. So I gently gave it one soft ring and the unpleasant lady swung around quickly with a bitter angry stare. She then mumbled something to herself and turned right back around putting her back to me. That's it, nothing else. Like I'm going to order from someone who looks like she'll spit in my food. I'm NEVER going back - you shouldn't go either. That lady is just plain nasty (she's always there). Follow up: I work right by here - every single Spanish-speaking person I've spoken with has gotten smiles and great service, and every single non-Spanish speaking person gets nasty looks and no service. She is OPENLY, FLAGRANTLY RACIST, DO NOT EAT THERE!

The low bar for any restaurant is cleanliness & tasty food with a tidy presentation. Taquero Tepeque missed the mark on all accounts. We have so many outstanding Mexican restaurants nearby in Watsonville. Why must the rest of the county put up with such an inferior product.

I was not offered water with a spicy dip for my small small amount of broken chips and it was only 12 in the afternoon. The food is delicious but I feel as if the female server was not attentive with me as an Asian as she was to those that spoke to her in Spanish. What was supposed to be a goat dish ended up a beef dish. No napkins were provided. Just all around bad service. I asked for water to cool down my taste buds and got none.
