Very lovely restaurant to listen to music. In addition, enjoy food and drinks with friends. Very relaxing. Try it out and let me know your thoughts.

We had the best time stumbling across this little gem for brunch. Our 2 1/2 year old loved watching the planes fly in to Palomar. The live music was amazing and they make a great Bloody Mary. The owner Michele was so sweet, we will be back for sure!

Sort of forgot about this spot at Palomar Airport. Good menu options, tasty food, friendly staff. My guess though is that they are under staffed. Almost all seats were full, staff was literally running to serve and clear. They kept their attitudes up, but service was a little slow. Worth the meal though.

Really loved it here! Watching planes take off and land via outdoor seating, flight-themed drinks, great food and jazz!!

Very pleasant outdoor seating. French dip and Chocolate Lava Cake was awesome. Friendly server helped with our food choices.

Awesome grilled fish tacos on happy hour! Drinks a little pricey but nice to sit outside and enjoy live entertainment and watch the planes come in. Our first time here we will be back.

Had a great time here on Saturday night while dining on the outside patio, listening to the Fleetwood Max band. Food was delicious, our server David was fantastic and the music was entertaining.

Tried first time and we were happy we did. Great menu for lunch or dinner, inside sitting and bar along with a lovely shady breezy patio seating. Watch the small planes take off. Wait staff very friendly. We will be back. The chicken/avocado/bacon wrap was yummy 13.00 with a choice of a side. Large size to share. Parking not as easy, but you can park in the lower rental car lot if needed and take the elevator up to the ramp to restaurant too.

I loved it. Meet a business partner there for a quick lunch. Service was great. The menu had something for everyone. Mix that with the patio and views of small planes/jets taking off and landing. What a great place for a meal. I'll be back with kids too. Crayons ,activity place mat, planes and helicopters.

Great service. The BBQ burger was really good and carnitas tacos were out of this world delicious (3 as an appetizer was a meal). Only problem was parking.

Hidden in plain sight, a great place to have a lunch or a dinner. The Landings has a fun happy hour with a rotating martini and a couple of other good deals. The food is tasty, also, with good variety. It's also fun to watch the planes, though it's not the greatest vantage point.

Very nice spot for happy hour with a view of the Palomar Airport runway and ramp. This is not just an airport restaurant. There is no need to be traveling to have an excuse to come here. Very friendly hosts with a good bar and happy hour prices. The Sculpin pour was perfect and the fish tacos are very good. Nice welcoming local airport crowd.

Been here for a few office lunches. Your standard salads, sandwiches and burgers on the menu. There's something for everyone. And the view of the airport runway makes for a really cool unique dining view. Patio seating is great for a nice sunny day. Servers are friendly and helpful.

The food was very good (ABC omelette and Philly chicken sandwich), and there were several things on the menu that I would like to try on future visits. We enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio, and our young son absolutely loved watching the planes and helicopters taking off and landing. The service was friendly but not extremely fast. We didn't mind having the extra time to sit on the patio and watch the planes, though.

Good food, great service and Cadillac Fringe on Friday night!

On a cold and drizzling Saturday I . Staff is very friendly, service is prompt and the bay windows open up to the flight line, so jet watching is unobstructed. They live music Thu, Fri, Sat night and Sunday brunch.

Wonderful food. It's foolish to claim what may be the best burger in North county, but their gourmet burger is as good as the best. Nice service and we appreciated the dog friendly patio. Highly recommended.

I flew in from Fullerton in the evening to show my friends what it’s like to fly. We were on a tight schedule, as I didn’t want to take off too late after sunset. It was a busy Saturday, but the owner went out of her way to make room for us. If you want a place to dance, you’ll find it here when the band is here, otherwise it’s a great ambience. Food is great, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Good bloodys & breakfast, great happy hour with live using on the weekend. Lively crowd, right on the tarmac.

This was the first restaurant I came to when I moved here two years ago. I had told a friend I played piano and loved jazz. Told me to come here and WOW! I go frequently due to the fact it has all my favorite things. Great music, great food, great service and to top it off if you go at the right time you can catch a killer sunset and watch the planes take off.

B
Brody Tucker

Great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink. Older crowd for sure. Great music on the weekend, so check out who's playing before you go. There's even people usually dancing outside near the patio. Excellent outdoor seating and the food is good, I recommend the fish and chips. Heaters are put out on colder nights.

Fantastic restaurant and place to see live music. Make sure you get a reservation for popular local music. The Totally 80s Band and Custard Pie typically Pack the house and you'll have to wait for room at the Bar.

We came here for a late lunch and it was wide open! No one to be seen. The service was prompt and efficient as such. The food was very good and tasty. We enjoyed our lunch here. We saw a few planes, but not too many.

Love this place! My son loves to watch airplanes and helicopters. So we get to do that while enjoying a lovely breakfast or lunch. They are open for dinner but we have only been there during daytime so we can watch the "show". Food and service is great. I could see this being a great place to host a small party as well.

Stopped in for lunch today. Service from Alex was great. I tried the fish and chips this time and they too were very good. I’ll be back next time I’m in town. If you’re in the area give The Landings a try. Stopped in for lunch Wednesday. The service was great. I had the French Dip and it was outstanding. A great place to eat if you’re in the area

This place is always great. Awesome staff that cares care of customers and they always have a great attitude. Food is great and so are the drinks. Live music on certain nights helps keep the mood lively. Only thing that is a pain is parking, which they recently changed. Not the restaurants fault but if parking was better they would always be jam packed. Highly recommend

This little place is a local favorite. Great selection of SD craft beers on tap & in bottles. Good selection of wine as well. For everyone else the have a full bar. Food here is better than average for sure. Except the tortilla chips. Nope. But that aside you can expect great service and the owner iS nearly always there to make sure your happy. Most who live in the area know the Landings for the awesome patio and live local bands ( see their web site for schedule). Big fan of the IPAs here and "Volcano Shrimp" appetizer.

This restaurant has a great outdoor patio for watching planes land and take off while you eat. Menu isn't extensive, but happy hour prices are very reasonable 4:00-7:00 Tues-Thurs. Our party of 11 had a great time. When this pandemic is over and concerts return, plan on coming here for that. We did, several times last year and it was great fun! Music, the airport, super friendly staff! I highly recommend!

What a fun place for dancing and food. I had never been before, and last night, I got to hear a new band, Gone Blond, and dance to their great music of the 80's. They were fantastic. I ordered the Chicken Picatta with mashed potatoes. It was cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were whipped and smooth. The sauce on the chicken was nice and lemony. Our server, Oracio, was very busy, but he was kind and brought us everything we needed. I ordered Whiskey Sours for the first time. I loved them! Having nothing to compare to, I would say they were perfect, for my taste. I don't like sweet drinks, and this type of drink allowed the flavor of the Buffalo Trace to come through. I noticed they use a variety of very good liquor on the drink menu. I loved the names of their drinks. All were airplane/ airport theme. What a wonderful night! I am only sorry I didn't take pictures of my food and the surroundings. But, I was having too much fun! Just a point of information should you plan to visit...I had a hard time locating the public parking lot for some reason. I circled like an airplane a few times before I saw the sign at the stop sign pointing down to the lot on the left. It is a huge lot. Just know it is a bit of a walk up a hill should you have any issues walking. You may need to be dropped off while someone parks the car. Enjoy!

I heard it's a nice spot to be watching planes taking off. The place has surprisingly amazing food. The drink was also delicious. Even though the waiters seemed to be very busy, I can't complain because the taste of their food made up for everything else.

I have been coming here for years. Alex has remembered my name and my drink and my meal everytime I come in even if it has been months passing of time because I work in several locations. I always make a point to bring myself and friends to this location and we are never disappointed in the food or the service. I know Alex directly from his service but I have also been helped by the rest of the staff and everyone is amazing and on point. I recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for the great food , atmosphere, and staff that is on point! Special shout out to Alex! Thank you so much. See you guys soon!

You don't go to The Landings for the food... you go for the ambiance! Nothing better than live music under a great sky! We did enjoy our food options--salad, tuna melt, turkey sandwich, chicken piccata. The drinks were good, also! Definitely worth checking out and staying until the sun sets! Reservations recommended.

I went in on a busy Sunday afternoon. We were immediately seated, ordered and served drinks. It took about 30 minutes for food to come this visit, but most days it comes out very quickly. On busy days, just enjoy the ambiance, view, music, and drinks. Who doesn't like watching the planes come and go? Food was delicious. Drinks tasty. Friendly service from everyone. Relaxing environment. Definitely a must-go if you're bored of strip mall restaurants and chains. The view is nice. The prices are also very reasonable. All around fun experience.

Flying in, or in the local area, this restaurant serves great food. The brussel sprouts are over the top, and the mahi-mahi is tasty. They have grilled or traditional fried fish tacos, hamburgers and pasta dishes. I've eaten here three times and have been impressed each time.

A recent remote control airplane mishap inspired this visit to The Landings. 😳 Located at the McClellan Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, it provides a nice selection of indoor/outdoor dining with a pretty decent sight line of the planes taking off and landing. Although the primary draw for our Review Team was the atmosphere, we had to admit that the food served was also good. @carlsbadlandings will be directly in front of you as you come through the main airport entrance, but be sure to park to the left of the restaurant. There is plenty of free parking on that side that will help you avoid a parking ticket or the towing of your vehicle. It is not uncommon for outdoor live entertainment to be offered on weekend evenings, so be sure to check on that in advance. And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake

The new owners have taken this restaurant and given it an incredible upgrade, and they aren't even finished yet. The hamburger i had was one of the best I've ever eaten. The Landings is a great little airport restaurant which has a varied menu with options that should suit most palates. My only criticism of the salad I had was that the dressing was way too sweet, but that seems to be the American way (I'm not a local). The atmosphere was nice, but this was a Monday evening when the weather was too chilly to sit on the patio. The bar has a broad range of options too.

J
Jon Grimaud

Fun place and good food and staff. Went for breakfast with my daughter and we both enjoyed it and the planes.

S

This is a very pleasant place to sit and have a simple meal. Parking is a bit awkward, but not unmanageable. We had to play the handicapped-plate trump card to park as near as we could and, even then it was good that we didn't need the wheelchair or navigation from parking to the restaurant would have been a small trial. The food was very nice. We had calamari appetizer which was nicely done. I had the $100 burger which was very nicely not over-done; it's so rare to actually get a medium-rare burger these days. My wife had the sesame chicken salad and enjoyed it as well. The outside seating, watching the planes come and go on a pleasant SoCal morning was kind of idyllic.

OK, this place surprised me. Pretty good food and atmosphere/vibe. Strange lunchtime hidden gem. I hear it's great. to go when they have live music. If I go again and have a good experience with that then I'll be giving this place 5 stars.

G
Greg Kluthe

It's a great place to see music with a mediocre following. A band that's very popular makes it hard to get a seat inside or outside. I've only eaten there a few times but I've never been disappointed. Staff is always really really friendly.

Excellent food. I loved the Devil's Mess Burrito. I have had the BBQ pork sandwich, chicken pesto panini, roast beef panini and Strawberry goat cheese salad. It was all good. Everything I've tried has been delicious. We are so lucky to have this little cafe in Carlsbad.

G

Saw a band at night here. The food was very tasty ( I was expecting bar food and it was pretty good ), and the service was fun. It's a cool venue, being able to watch planes. Sit outside at night among the lanterns and heat lamps (although a couple weren't working when we were there, so the kids got cold).

A

Live music on Saturday evening. Service was good. Food was ok but fun never the less. Getting a table was awkward. You have to get there by 4:30 to get on the list for a table and then wait until 6 for the music to start. That being said, it was still fun.

C
Carmen G

The place was great! My only qualm was the $30 minimum per person for restaurant dining, but not a big deal. The wait and bar staff were very friendly and efficient. Really, the service was superb. This is located right at Palomar airport, next to the small terminal. Really a fun venue if you like smaller aircraft, too.

E
Elizabeth Incledon

The music was amazing as usual. They do a wonderful job at acquiring talent, band is always great! Where they fail is the food service. It was very fortunate for our server that they charged a 20% tip automatically, because we had to get out water several times since she was scarcely around when needed. We normally have a group of 10-18, two to three times a mth. May be better for a small group, but a couple near us had to get their own water as well. Manager needs a wake up call. Mingle, and keep your eyes open. You are losing customers. The food is so-so, not bad and not awful. We will certainly start looking for another venue. Its unfortunate since (again) the entertainment is very good.

SCENIC PLACE + NICE AMBIENCE This place is located next to runway. It has a glass wall so you can see the runway from inside seating. Outdoor seating is elegant too. It has good crowd. We mostly visit during the company happy hours. I had tried multiple appetizer and burger. The food is good and service as well.

J

This small restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem. It's located on the grounds of the Palomar Airport in it's own building next to the terminal. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Menu has a wide range of choices and everyone in our group of 7 enjoyed their meal. It was bustling with activity when we went for lunch on a Tuesday. Parking is readily available in the airport parking lot. First 2 hours are free. There's a separate handicapped parking area closer to the restaurant. In warm weather there is live music on the patio.

G
Greg Foran

I stopped by for lunch in Hope's of viewing aircraft while enjoying lunch and a cocktail. We had a great lunch and our server at the bar was exceptional. The only downer is the parking. There is a public lot down the hill but all of the lots close to the restaurant have signs saying no resturant parking. It's worth the hike for the great food and drinks. They have an outdoor patio and live music.

M
M1

Such a cool spot for outdoor eats. I wish we could see more, an upstairs viewing area would be clutch. The seating was confusing, as we waited for a hostess people came in and placed themselves at tables, not cool. The hostess was busy and seemed disconnected from attending to guests waiting. Then came the wait for the server. Everything just seemed like don't expect much or you'll be disappointed. We have a 2 year old w/dairy allergies so I asked if on Carnitas tacos is there was dairy, all good there. Then we ordered sweet potato fries which did not list cheese and it was served with parmesan cheese, WHAT!?! Sent them back explaining the dairy allergy. They came back with brushed off cheese. He has a DAIRY ALLERGY. Come on people, allergies are serious. Overall the food was good and we enjoyed the planes coming and going.

Usually have good music. Happy hour deals. Good brunch, good food otherwise, a bit pricey for what you get. Lots of kids on the dance floor last couple of times we went, if you're in to that cool, if not kind of a pain

I've got a feeling we'll be enjoying quick stops here more often now, before flying out. We have recently discovered the essence of flying out of Palomar and now how pleasant the dining here at The Landings really is. This place really does fire on all cylinders. Today we had a simple turkey sandwich that was very good. Very tasty. A well-prepared sandwich with perfectly prepared, and lightly salted, French fries. A good sandwich that was even separated into two plates for sharing. Thanks Servers were super friendly and professional. There was always someone checking on us. Food came out in record time that would put MOST fast food times to shame. Literally about 8 minutes from order to service. The Landings will now be one of our go-to's. CritDicks

The restaurant is located inside (same building) as the Palomar airport. Not sure of the food or other services as it appeared to be closed the day (Tuesday) I went to pick up a friend at the airport. Facility is nice and I'm sure it's probably nice when they're open. At least it has a good vibe.

I really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. It seems more family oriented there were people of all ages on the Dance Floor. It was a holiday weekend and quite busy so we couldn't find a place to sit so we just stayed for a while and listen to the music and it was music from my era so to speak. A soft rock pop combo for the 30 and above group.

In town for the weekend, to visit Friends who live in Carlsbad, came here for Breakfast, worst service ever, our waitress was very unpleasant, and all over the place. Ordered coffee, waited literally 5 minutes for cream amd sugar, coffee was cold. Hope the food makes up for the service. On a lighter note the planes were cool. Ordered the Eggs Benedict it was amazing, Gwen the owner was Amazing.

Came in for a late breakfast with a group of 9. On a Saturday getting close to 11am it wasn't too busy and we got seated in 5 minutes. We had an assortment of breakfast and lunch items. Each plate was done well, what I would call acceptable and tasty. Nothing would be "memorable" but it was all good none the less. Cost per person would be $15. If your looking for a good meal then yes come on in.

I've lived in the La Costa area for 15 years and have frequented this restaurant during that time. The food is great they have a nice patio, a nice dance floor and live music on the weekends. We walked in tonight hoping to hear the rock band and have a nice dinner and drinks. We were told at the hostess stand that it's now $30 per person on Fridays and Saturday nights. Seriously?? Does this money go to the band?? Otherwise, shame on you! There are plenty of other places in Carlsbad where you can go and hear live music enjoy a nice dinner and drinks without having to pay an outrageous cover charge! $10 would have been more reasonable. I won't be returning here unless this policy changes

Great food, service could be better but bigger issue for pilots flying in is that the airport has removed more than half of the transient parking spaces. We parked at Western Flight and paid $35 for an hour parking to go to the restaurant.

Excellent spot, food didn’t match. Drinks are amazing, I’d recommend stopping if you’re looking for a solid live band and good drinks, but the food was maybe a 6.5/10. Maybe I got a bad batch, maybe I didn’t see the rat trap under the bar(these ain’t no field mice partner). Good atmosphere overall, I’d say a fancy dive bar with good placement. Use your own discretion.

Small but quaint. Great atmosphere and great service! The appetizers were tasty and the food was okay. The clam chowder was sweet and it was missing that kick. Drawbacks are that it can get noisy in the dining area, a limited menu, and it is a little pricey. The live band was good and the outdoor seating area was nice. Will definitely return for the appetizers and music

Disclaimer: I'm a foodie and eat as much as possible at farm to table/local producers style places. If you eat normal grocery store food and eat at chain restaurants, you'll be fine here, as the 5-star rating are. Grabbed a bite before a flight. The food is very average. Shrimp cocktail was weak for the price, just a few flabby fairly small shrimp. But it took the edge off my hunger. Asian chicken salad was also very average, but not "bad" in any way. Service was fine, he knew we were leaving soon so he kept it moving, thank you. Nice to be outside next to the airstrip. Probably best for a drink?

Excellent staff and service. We were there when it opened so not very busy. Food options were promising, but flavors were less than expected. Just not what you'd want or expect for the higher $20per person price. Good, but needs to be better. Also the fries and sandwich bread wasn't crispy or toasted enough. So flavors bland and textures limp. Parking was minimal. There's a tiny 2hr lot for free, but I'm not sure where you'd park if the spots were taken. Inside and outside seating available. Umbrella shades outside. AC inside. Kid friendly. View of the planes were good.

Not family friendly at all. Got dirty looks from all the patrons and the wait staff was initially rude regarding our children. However, the kitchen staff did agree to make a grilled cheese, which was redeeming. This was after I asked if they had a grilled cheese because it is on their online menu, but I was told no several times. My kids were satisfied with their food, but our food was just meh.

Ambiance : inside, ordinary. Outside a bit better, especially because you can hear the planes. You can see the planes from inside, but it’s not as spectacular as I had imagined. Music inside was really all over the place. Food, common. Not great, but okay. Would I go back, nope. Selection of Breakfast or Brunch was very limited.

We used to go here for entertainment mostly, but decided to stop in for brunch as it's been awhile. Went around 1pm for brunch/lunch as it was Sunday. We were looking forward to revisiting, but upon arrival the restaurant was disheveled. Uncleared tables, broken glass under one two-seater near the entrance, and wait staff looking like it was an already very long day. I couldn't understand why so many tables were not cleared and a broken glassware safety hazard wasn't cleared while people were standing around. A female manager or what seemed like a person in charge told us we could sit anywhere! My wife and I decided to sit at the bar where the disinterested bartender decided to wipe the spaces where we were sitting. Since the bartender didn't serve us he got a female wait person to help us who was already extremely busy- it seemed. It appeared as if some people had plenty to do, while others just stood arounhd. When she came back she served us waters and said she would return shortly. It wasn't shortly, and the bartender had disappeared- for quite awhile. When she returned we ordered two coffees and I ordered a mimosa. I had to return the mimosa because the glass was dirty and smelled. It was replaced with apology but the barware should've been checked prior to serving. When we did place our order it came quickly. I had a crabcake benny and my spouse had an omelet. Both tasted well but I had a few crab shells in the benny and I had to wipe off our utensils before using them. I think they need a new dishwasher or something. Our wait person was cordial about the dirty glassware and the forgotten coffee and even made some small concessions but, I am sorry, I cannot remain silent about the whole visit. We should have taken a queue from the very start upon our less than stellar greeting and the lack of pride in the appearance of the dining room. I would recommend not "landing" anytime soon at the The Landings, or at the least, keep your eyes open to the lack of pride, work ethic, cleanliness, and tired service. Hopefully the management will take a hard look and make some needed changes. The Landings used to be a good destination.

The overall experience is “meh”. The server was confused the entire time. Missing items from our order. We were sat at a folding table out on the patio. Next time I fly out of the Carlsbad airport I’ll just plan time to eat somewhere else.

They never answer the phones, phoned on multiple occasions on a Sunday no one ever answered the calls. I was curious if their patio was pet friendly. It is! Unfortunately the service was subpar. We had a dog so we could only sit out in the patio. The menu I received was outdated as I tried to order the Lobster Roll but was informed it was no longer available. Our server was an older white woman who completely forgot about us even though we were the only table out on the patio. When it came time to ask for the check the server was no where to be found then appeared from the airport area, we asked for the check when she came out and once again disappeared for almost 5-10 minutes again. We could see her wandering inside the restaurant so we finally had to go in and settle the bill ourselves as she never came back out to us. Had previously loved this restaurant for the view but after this experience would not recommend to anyone.

I took my friend there today for her birthday. We went for their Sunday brunch and entertainment. The waitress was so rude and grouchy it was like walking on eggshells just to talk to her. She literally walked away twice while my friend and I asked questions. Any question was like a huge imposition. And the way she answered the question, which she did stick around for, was rude. I’m not sure why she’s a waitress. I had the mahi mahi tacos and the fish was so dry. I could hardly swallow it. I asked if I could have a different side other than black beans and I was told no. The black beans were cold and tasted bad. My friend had the eggs Benedict. The English muffin was the smallest English muffin I’ve ever seen. Much smaller in diameter than a regular English muffin and about half the thickness. The Canadian bacon was a small triangle instead of a full round slice. The hollandaise sauce looked like it had been sitting around for a while. the waitress didn’t care if we were happy with the food or not. Honestly, I was not going to give her a tip, and that’s not some thing I usually do, however, when I went to pay, she stood over me with the credit card machine and watched everything I was doing. When I got to the screen that asked a thumbs up or a thumbs down about my experience, she grabbed the machine and said you don’t have to answer that. Their food used to be good. Now it’s incredibly overpriced and underwhelming. The entertainment was actually great. That was the only highlight of my friend’s birthday meal. We will definitely not be going back. This place has definitely gone downhill I.

Hours online and on the door say open until 8:00. We arrived at 7:00 tonight and were sent away because it was “too slow.” Terrible business practices here by the owner, won’t be returning despite having been long time customers. Fail.

We used to come here regularly for the Sunday brunch, live music, and a great outdoor patio. Went yesterday and was really disappointed. Music was awesome so we had a Bloody Mary (which took 20 mins to get ) but the waitress was rude and they took forever to get our drinks and check. Won't be coming back anytime soon!

Truly Horrible. I waited 50 minutes for a burger and an app on a Wed at 5:30pm. My app was freezing cold--clearly had been sitting there waiting for the burger to get done. The 'jumbo coconut shrimp' were the size of a quarter. LITERALLY. Also dry and brittle from sitting under the heat lamp. Took another 20 minutes to get my bill. Ate only one shrimp and told the server they were cold and burned. He said, 'yeah, we are busy.' I don't blame the servers-kitchen should time food better and the management should staff better. Absolutely awful. Don't understand these high ratings except I am guessing they are from the people who come to drink and watch the band. They did appear to be enjoying themselves.

Go for the music and drinks, skip the food. Seriously, don’t pay for the terrible food. It should be an embarrassment to this restaurant to take money from people for the AWFUL food.

For years, The Landings at Carlsbad Airport has been our go-to Easter and Mother's Day brunch dining choice -- NEVER AGAIN! From the time we got there everything was sub-standard. From not having a hostess at the front door on Easter (we had to look for someone to seat us at our reserved table) to the waitress deleting our first drink order and bringing our ICE COLD FOOD out one plate at a time - all at different times - and never bringing our second order of drinks out at all. Our server (Amber) was clueless and never even tried to right the ship. The table next to us had the same experience. No manager was on site (or so I was told). The only thing that made this horrible dining experience bearable was the live music (thank God there was that!). After two hours we left there without eating and very frustrated. I am so sad that this Carlsbad hidden gem is not the place it used to be. With service and food like we got yesterday, they won't be open much longer. They did take the food portion off our check but as far as we were concerned, it was too little too late -- and too late to find another restaurant that could seat a party of six with no reservations on Easter.

To say this place was average would be kind. The atmosphere is bottom of the barrel and looks nothing like the pics. There is no outdoor space. We went on a beautiful SD day and although I reserved outdoor seats, website allowed, it’s not only under construction but not the restaurant’s space. Food was average not exciting but not horrible. Menus were dirty and atmosphere lacked in all fronts.

Just sat outside with a party of four and was ignored for 20 mins before we had to leave. Unfortunate this is the only place to eat at this airport. However been other times, and despite lacking service the ambiance and live music is great.

We had been to this lovely restaurant in the past. We were looking forward to returning. The hostess (the one who is an ASU graduate) said there would be a 20 minute wait and pointed us to an empty table. We sat down to wait. And wait and wait and wait. After she seated others and took their drink orders, we continued to wait. And wait. After 25 minutes we left. We were never acknowledged by this young lady. We even said goodbye and thank you as we left. The young woman allowed an $80.00 dollar table walk out without a word. This same group would have left her a substantial tip as she was an ASU alumni. This same group will never return to this restaurant.

Overall experience was a little disappointing. Was really excited to try this restaurant and their drinks. My fiancée and I arrived for our reservation, and immediately upon seating, the table was very dirty and dusty, like something that’s been sitting in a shed for weeks. Wiped my finger across the table and instantly picked up a lot of dirt. Our waitress was kind enough to wipe it down for us. The menu we were handed was also dirty. The drinks we ordered were a big let down. Her pineapple marg tasted like salty pineapple juice, and my manhattan had weird particles floating around in it like the cup wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. My fiancée asked for a straw and the waitress gave us a straw, however half of the packaging on the straw was completely torn off and the straw was dusty and gross. She walked away before we could ask for a different one, and I’d find it hard to believe she didn’t see the straw was opened already. Completely unsanitary. Later on we ordered fries, and later on we never got them. Some 30 minutes later. I have understanding for our waitress as she was balancing multiple big parties of tables. Tried flagging down our waitress to get our check, but she walked right past us twice. Again, I have understanding because she was busy, but I didn’t think I could make myself more noticeable. Long story short, we either didn’t get a good experience, or your money is better off spent elsewhere.
