Fish District

This was good. I wish there was a fish district in my town. I think it would do well. The fish was fresh, the service was fast. We were a party of 7 and we didn't sit together because the seating was limited. I got the bowl pictured here with citrus sauce and spicy sauce on the side. It was really good.

Spectacular fish and chips! The batter on the fish was light and not greasy at all. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The server was super nice and answered any questions that we had. Small seating area inside but on a nice day they have a few tables outside also.

We had a nice dinner at Fish District today 1/20/22. I got the swordfish with battered fries and sautéed veggies and my husband got blackened fish tacos. Fish was fresh and succulent with good flavors. We also had the bread pudding with whisky sauce which was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick & tasty bite.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fish and chips restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The crispy golden batter on the fish was perfection, revealing flaky, moist fillets inside. The fries were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. My wife had their poke bowl and grilled fish and kale salad. She said they're flavor-packed delights! Quick service and a welcoming atmosphere make this place a must-visit for satisfying cravings. Highly recommended!

Fish and chips were nicely battered and crispy. The tartar was homemade and delicious. The poke bowl was fresh and not frozen ingredients. Overall a very pleasant experience. A must try.

We recently stumbled upon Fish District in San Diego and was pleasantly satisfied by the quality of their food. As someone who's tried seafood from various places, I can confidently say that Fish District stands out. Their clam chowder is great andthe misti friti is a winner. Fried seafood in a light, crispy batter. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. Utensil are all earth friendly.

Fish District has the Clam Chowder game on lock!! Prove me wrong 🤷🏾‍♀️ it was not too thick, not watery but perfection and full of all the good stuff, potatoes, clams, celery and the usual. Phenomenal!

I missed fish restaurants when I lived in SF Bay Area, it is good that Carlsbad has them. They sell 3 different fish types: salmon, mahi-mahi and rockfish. The price is the same, but different portion sizes, for example, rockfish will be bigger than salmon, pic related. I don't like rockfish, but salmon and mahi-mahi are the top tier fish (my full list is arctic char, steelhead/rainbow trout, silver/troll king/other salmons, yellowtail, mahi-mahi, opah). The online order begs you to buy beer and wine, but you can ignore it and buy only fish with nothing else. The order was always ready on time and was easy to pick up.

This is a chain store. There seem to be three of them in SD. I went to the one in Carlsbad. It was recommended by a friend. You can scan the code to order directly. No tip is required. My friend always orders salmon + salad every time. It's very fresh, healthy and delicious. I ordered a poke bowl and a taco. The poke bowl was great, very filling. The taco was a bit ordinary and not recommended to order.

The environment was super clean. Customer service was great. Presentation of food was beautifully done. Portion of plate was great. Taste was good but a bit bland for me. The ingredients were fresh and sauces were good. Price was on higher side but ok. Will I return? Absolutely!!!!!

We came back here after a few years, but I'm just reviewing now. Ordered 5 poke salmon bowls for a family of 5 after craving for some healthy food after indulging greasy unhealthy foods at San Diego County Fair. My kids wanted to bring home their leftovers, even its only rice and some veggies left. They love everything fish (including raw fish in sushi), and this definitely made it a place to eat at again and again. They even exclaimed to eat here at each Legoland visit. I have to try the other items from the menu next time. The only suggestion is to offer a wild-caught salmon. Currently, it is only farmed.

As someone who soley orders shrimp burritos, I will say that Fish District is a solid choice. Their shrimp is fresh and flavorful, and I love the cabbage slaw with pico de gallo combination. However, I fear that the portion sizes often fall short with the wrap only coming with five or six small shrimps! Will still be back if I am in the area but hope that the portions are more generous in the future.

However, I fear that the portion sizes often fall short with the wrap only coming with five or six small shrimps! Will still be back if I am in the area but hope that the portions are more generous in the future.

I got the fish plate with mahi mahi, mixed vegetables and fries. My wife got the clam chowder. Nothing was bad but everything could’ve used a little more flavor and salt. Her chowder was too loose. I would give it another try but order something different.

The service was excellent and attentive. The food left alot to be desired. Although the food was well prepared there was little to now flavor. The fish and shrimp lacked any real seasoning. Most of the flavor came from the dressing or sauces which were light.

*Update The flavor in the batter is lacking. I could have single handedly kept this place running, but I fear I won't be back because the batter is just bad. Flavorless and thick all the time. If ever fixed please let me know, I want to love this place so bad. Solid 4 stars. Quality of fish has been amazing. But the breading on the fish and chips was thick last time I got it, wasn't a fan. But the first two times my food was 🤌🏾. Will definitely go back. Great place to have here locally. BUT VERY EXPENSIVE!
