Very nice place. It was busy with the after church crowd but there was very little wait time for the food to come out of the kitchen. Everything was delicious and hot. I love cheese enchiladas and don't get them very often living in Arkansas. So I was very happy to see theirs was excellent. Too bad that this place is 3.5 hours from my home.

Driving through during a road trip & if I lived nearby this would be my go-to spot! Parking lot was packed but they still got us seated immediately. Salsa was perfect - I think my mom ate like 3 bowls of the salsa all on her own. The food came out fast and hot. Everything tasted great. I got the Grande Sampler to share with my two kids and they really loved the chicken quesadillas and fiesta egg rolls. We take this trip every year so we’ll definitely be coming back!

Had not been in here for many years until tonight and I don't know why! The food was great and our waiter was even better! The quacamole was great! I couldn't decide on which kind of enchiladas to get so I got a plate that had 3 kinds (beef, cheese, and chicken) and they were all great! I couldn't eat it all so I got all the leftovers to go and look forward to eating them tomorrow! Thanks for a great waiter and great food. 👍

We brought in a party of 7 on a Friday night. The service was excellent from each person. The chips, salsa, and the queso shrimp dip in a bread bowl was so good. The taco salad with chicken was fresh. Everything came out hot and delicious. There was a solo mariachi player who came around to different tables to sing with his guitar. It was someone's birthday at another table and the wait staff came out with a guitar and put a sombrero on the birthday person while they sang.

Fantastic. We went slightly after lunch. Four top and seated quickly. We were just passing through town but were told it was good food. We started with the guacamole and it was the largest bowl I have ever seen. It was great! Then the food arrived. I ordered beef fajitas and they were perfect. The beef was well seasoned and the preparation was spot on. Slightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. What a dish!

Whenever I'm in town I usually stop by here to eat, more recently they've been getting way busier a bit earlier than usual, they have really redone the place quite a bit in the past few months too. The food always comes out pretty fast, though the speed at which they bring out food does make me question how they prepare each item, regardless the food is pretty consistently good in the items I've ordered. As for the service, it is definitely a bit spotty and they do have their occasional off days, though this is of course very dependent on the waiter you get. This place is also very popular with big parties, so this may be the place for you if you want to have a party. Overall this is a good restaurant and even if sometimes the service is off, the majority of the time it is great, and I recommend it if you want to eat somewhere fast with a unique decor scheme and consistently good food. I'd certainly return here next time I'm in town.

The best service and great food!

Good was very good & more authentic Mexican than many Mexican restaurants. Prices were all somewhat high - no a la carte listed on the menu. Service was great.. I ordered chicken tortilla soup because it was the cheapest thing on the menu. It's was very good & it was a large bowl - enough to take some home!

What a hidden gem. This is truly some of the best Mexican food we’ve had since moving to Texas. My sister, and I were raised on the west coast, and have never liked the flavors, and extreme heat of Tex-Mex food. This place features AMAZING flavor, on all of their dishes, and sauces. Even their table salsa, that comes with a large portion of house made chips, is so good, you’ll be tempted to drink it. This isn’t exaggeration, this is delight. We live close to the best Mexican food we’ve had in years. Do yourself a favor, and find out why we’re overjoyed now.

Yummy warm salsa, I always get tacos and they’re always delicious. The creamy sauce on the shrimp tacos is spicy and oh so good! Portions are generous - I had leftovers for 2 more meals! We had a late lunch on a Saturday, around 2PM, and we were in & out in 30-ish minutes.

Amazing food. Chile Rellano was unbelievable. Stuffed with fajita meat. Beans and rice were amazing also. Top it all off, homemade tortillas! Definitely will be back when passing anywhere near!

The food is awesome, very large portions at a very reasonable price. I've eaten there several times and I've needed a to go box every time. If you're in Carthage it's one of several really good places to eat.

This is my favorite restaurant in Carthage. I love the menu and the fresh taste of their food. Their guacamole....oh my gosh....it is fresh and made on the spot. If it weren't for the amazing choice of food , the guacamole would be enough of a reason to come. Oh and not to mention that their customer service is outstanding 😁

The food here was fantastic. Especially for someone like me from Louisiana.Who doesn't get good mexican food anymore. This restaurant has very good chili gravy for their Enchiladas. And their green mild salsa is off the hook extraordinary!! The service was good, and the atmosphere was okay except for a broken table they had at a booth. I wanted to sit at the booth and couldn't because the table top was broken. But otherwise it was a fantastic experience and we went twice. That's how good it was!

The food was fantastic. They were a little short on late staff, but they were still friendly I did what I could. At one point our glasses disappeared and we had to ask for refills and they reappeared with our same glasses that we had before. 🤔 I'm not sure where they got them from it kind of made me nervous.

I recently had family in town for a funeral and took them to Rancho Grande for lunch and a few margaritas. This was my first time, so it was a first for all of us. Everybody enjoyed their food, our server was on point and the Margaritas were some of the best we'd ever had. Highly recommend.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a great experience. I think it definitely depends on the waiter/waitress but we had a really good one. He was really polite. It was packed and we still got our orders faster then to be expected. They kept our drinks at least a quarter full. All in all, the service was great. 10/10 would recommend.

Tonight we visited Rancho Grande. We went to have a few Margaritas ( regular and strawberry) . Both were delicious. We weren’t too hungry so we enjoyed the egg roll appetizer which was really good. Food was good , service was good. We visit often and enjoy it. Our kids really love the chips and hot sauce.

I had the spicy/jalapeno margarita. It was great. It was spicy but still tasted like a margarita. The family ordered $1 tacos on Tuesday. Such an incredible offer considering how great the tacos were. They provided individual salsas with the chips for everyone at my table. I thought that was cool. Not sure if it’s a Rancho Grande thing or a Texas thing, but it should be the standard everywhere. 😂

Awesome food, great atmosphere. Would have been 5 stars but we've had a waitress twice who is slow, never comes to our table, we have to get up and go ask for refills, napkins, even silverware. Lots of great waiters and waitresses though.

Love the enchilada dinners. We would order to go quite a bit. Their queso is delicious also! My favorite queso in town by far. The chips tend to taste a bit oily and it hurts my stomach. Overall it's a nice place.

I like how we got treated and the whole setting. The chips and salsa were so amazing. As for the food I have to say I wasn't so convinced it's not authentic at all. This restaurant specializes it Mexican plates and I'm used to eating these foods because I am a Latina, but those foods did not meet my standard.

Update 1/ 25/23 food was good but the veggies was yuk hella mushy and not fresh 😭 also took a while to get a seat when no one was really there and had to stair down our waiter a few times for refills, and check. I've been to this place a few times now, and it never lets me down! Great food! I absolutely love the salsa, the grilled chicken with shrimp and cheese & fresh grilled veggies and rice, oh, and the margaritas are top-notch!

My wife and I shared chicken fajitas. Chicken and tortillas were great. Refried beans were ok. Chips and salsa were good as well.

The only thing I really didn't like was the automatic gratuity added and a credit/debit card fee. I ordered fajitas 17.95 2 sweet teas because me and mt granddaughter shares. It cos us $32.00 to get out of there due to the fees.

Hostess was kinda unfriendly and establishment was warm. Service at table was excellent and food was very good.

Love the Thursday night Entertainment.!! Food was on point and nice environment. Service was great when he was able to come. With so much going on and an hour wait till table. I would suggest more staff to handle bussing down tables faster and getting food out with drinks , chips and salsa quicker. We arrived at 8:00pm seated at 9:00pm and served 9:35pm. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and it was exactly to my liking loaded with cheese, red and green bell peppers I give a low mark for the queso, you could get that flavor off the shelf at the grocery store in a can. Unless you just have to have too I suggest you go to the store and buy it for 1/8 of the price. Make your own with crazy additives. Whatever.

Lots of items on the menu to choose from. Quesadilla is greesy. Asked for Pico inside the quesadilla, but came on the side. Good job on the salsas, lots to pick from, chips was good. I am aware that this is a small town and not too much resources but always like to give my critique based on what is out there in different places. Maybe this will help your business. Music in the background was very low, barely hear it. Always offer a specialty beverage once you see grownups sitting on table Always offer desserts before bringing checks. We met some friends there for dinner and arrived early. It was prom night in Carthage, so the place got really busy later with people waiting in line. The food was okay, but not great. I'm sure the locals would disagree, but I've had better.

Decent place to eat or have a drink. Food is good, but just that honestly. Nothing to turn flips over, but good enough to finish the plate.

I was going through town and stopped here to eat. Great place! I had the lunch speckle el kike. Comes with a toco, cheese enchilada and a tostada. Their salsa is really good. The chips were good but I prefer thin. That’s just a preference though. I’d eat here again any day.

This place is good enough to eat if you're hungry. Otherwise, the food is pretty bland. The service is generally awful because servers manage more tables than they can handle. The salsa misses on flavor. The tortillas are the best part because they're made on site. The staff is generally very professional and polite, but don't expect many refills.

I'm from Arkansas, and we stopped here on the way home. This is like the most basic Mexican food you can get. Salsa was decent. The quesadilla was delicious. All the other food we had was pretty basic. Thankful we didn't have to get fast food though. 🤷‍♀️

I had a ok experience. The fajitas were kinda bland and basic. I ordered a margarita with no salt and it had salt on and inside the cup and couldn't taste any alcohol in it (Patron) just tasted like salt and mix. I then ordered a draft bud light and the server forgot about me and then disappeared. When I finally saw him and flagged him down he went to get it and then came back and said they don't have bud light in draft 🙄. The upside is the establishment looks neat i guess 🤷‍♂️

THE SERVER WAS GREAT. ALWAYS CHECKING ON US. I was very disappointed in my food. Hardly ate it. I should have had them take it off my ticket. Ice cream machine broke. 😔

My street tacos were very dry. I had the fajitas steak on them. And my husbands chicken and steak fajitas were very dry and overcooked. The salsa was delicious but we never did get a 2nd bowl.

I have been to this place twice, and it just keeps getting worse. Service was not the greatest, waiter kept forgetting to bring us our drinks or some food we would request. There were bugs in the dining room, a table around us literally swatting them and screaming. Food taste like it came out of a box. In general, we were really unsatisfied any time we would go in there.

This was one of our favorite places in this town until tonight. We come in and bring visitors and business associates weekly. I have eaten here 3 nights some weeks. Tonight after 3 of ate (my wife, our friend, and myself) we went onto the patio for them to have a drink. When we went to bar the bartender (Oscar) said we couldn't order drinks at the bar also we had to use styrofoam cups while everyone else had glass glasses on the patio. It was their 2nd drink and no one was impaired or anything. We ask the manager and she said she didn't know why. I wonder if it was racially motivated? We will eat and spend our money somewhere everyone is welcome.

This place is hit and miss. When they're busy, majority of the wait staff run around like chickens with their heads cut off. I have received the worst service I have ever had from any restaurant at this one. The little young girl who seats you is a nightmare. She will let you stand there without saying a word and seat other people ahead of you. She's too timid and uncommunicative to be in a service position. You must approach her and all but demand to be seated and pray she lets a member of the waitstaff know you're there. There is one guy bartender who is very good (ie great service and tasty well proportioned drinks.) The rest pour very skimpy, weak beverages, not worth the money. The food is pretty good, probably the best thing about the place. They cut the ice cream machine off at 8 so don't expect ice cream after that. I tend to have a 50/50 chance on whether the experience will be pleasant or so bad I want to walk out but when you live in town so very limited on restaurants, what choice do you really have.

Fajita meat was great! Other than that, it was bland food and the fresh made guacamole was bland and had very little flavor. Went after a funeral and needed a good drink for my wife and ordered a double shot margarita on the rocks, it was watered down and weak and definitely not a double. Worst margarita we'd ever had. By far.

I was truly disappointed. I used to love the Rancho Grande In Magnolia. This restaurant was definitely not like the one in Magnolia.

Ordered something that I have ordered often, and they added a sauce to it this time that was so spicy I could not eat it. Neither could my grandson. We requested different food for my grandson, and the waiter actually laughed at us. Whoever was the manager at that time told us there was nothing wrong with their food, Mexican food is supposed to be spicy. But as I said before, I ordered the same thing I always order and I’ve never had a problem. Nothing in the menu stated that there was a spicy sauce either. I won’t be going back.

Horrible experience. Came in town for a funeral decided to eat here after. The service was sub par . We waited a long time for food and when it came all items did not come. By the time the rest of it came out my food was cold. Never got a refill on water and we were the almost 2 hours! (We waited on our check for atleast 30 mins) I asked to speak to the manager and her customer service was even worse! Ana is what she said he name was, was extremely rude and dismissive. I wanted to just wanted to explain how the service was and she could careless. I would not go here again. We spent a couple of hundred and should have done that elsewhere.

We were passing through and this place had great reviews, but it did not meet our expectations. The service was terrible, not only with us but with other costumers as well, he took to long for everything and he’s treatment was not great. The food was subpar, the vegetables in the tacos weren’t fresh. The atmosphere was ok, and the bathrooms were clean. Overall not a good experience.

Never again. Been cleaning all day from a tornado, didn’t have electricity. Went in, was seated, no one said we are closing soon. Ordered a margarita, told waitress we were tired, just wanted to relax and have one before we ordered and one with meal. She came back less that two minutes later at 9:04 and said the kitchen is closing you need to order. We did, and asked for two more margaritas. She said let me see if bar is still open. Came back and said bar is closed. At 9:07 the waitress came back with our food and at 9:11 asked if we needed a box. I asked her if she was rushing us and she said “you don’t have to be rude”.. We asked to see manager and she refused to come to our table and send the bar “manager” who proceeded to tell us the “state law says they can’t serve alcohol after their posted closing time”. 1. Their closing time was not posted and 2. Why wasn’t we told that when we went in? Not happy, will never go there again

After being loyal customer since the beginning, I have to admit that I will not longer be coming to eat here. The last three times my food was burnt, the shrimp was bad, and the host continues to have a terrible attitude not only towards me but I seen her be disrespectful towards other customers.

I have made multiple attempts at having a good experience here... lunch, Dinner, and ordering take out. It seems everyone I’ve encountered is always in a bad mood or doesn’t have enough time to be bothered. I love the green sauce here but it’s just not worth the rude owner/employee dealings. I just drive to Timpson to that Rancho for top quality everything.

We ordered 3 plates to take out. The meat was raw and cold. My onion looked like someone had already ate part of it. My chili relleno was so hard I couldn't eat it. So my granddaughter, my husband nor I could eat our food. I ate the chips. That was it. Three strikes and you are out. Oh and one of the beef fajitas plate only had 2 strips of beef. We usually ordered every week. Horrible. This is how businesses go out one Cust at s time. It looked like we were served left over food!!!! I have pictures. I will try to add.

Upon entering your establishment tonight to have dinner, I couldn't help but notice that there were several tables that needed to be cleaned. Working in the food industry myself, I understand what it's like to be busy and unable to clean right away, so at first I decided to overlook the dirty tables. I was seated at my table and ordered my unsweetened tea, and I noticed that every single table you have in this establishment had signage on it advertising your fried avocados. That instantly got my taste buds working on overtime, and I had decided on ordering some. When I placed my order with the server, she promptly went to the kitchen to place my order with the cook. Approximately 5 minutes later she returned informing me that y'all didn't have any fried avocados available tonight. That made me extremely unhappy as I was looking forward to those tasty avocados. Now if I had known that you didn't serve/have any fried avocados I would have taken my business elsewhere. Of course by this time my blood sugar had reached a point to where I was unable to take my business elsewhere, so I settled for something else to eat. The hour that I was there tonight I noticed that those tables that had been uncleaned when I arrived, continued to be uncleaned as I left. The food was tolerable, but nothing spectacular. The service was decent, but I will say that my overall experience tonight leaves a bitter taste in my mouth when my mind plans a return to this restaurant.

A cockroach crawled from across my husbands shoulder, and when told about the problem, the “manager,” met us with a huge attitude and added things to our bill that weren’t received. I will be turning them into the health inspectors. What a disgusting birthday experience,

Was in town for a event so stopped in for dinner. What a big disapointment. Salsa is warm and watery, not good at all. My husband and I had different enchilada dishes and both were horrible. The meat had no seasoning whatsoever, it was very bland and their red sauce is just tomato sauce! Seriously use enchilada sauce!! Probably the worst Mexican food I have ever had.

If I could give the food less than one star I would. The salsa was served warm and lacked any flavor. It was like water with chunks in it. I ordered grilled shrimp skewers. I received grilled ship on a plate. They had no seasoning whatsoever. This was the “butter” I was served to dip them in. I asked the waiter if this was normally how they served the butter for grilled shrimp. His response was “No. I think they made a new batch. That normally it sits there a lot longer and melts.” There was no offer to change or correct this. My son and husband ordered fajitas that should have come out on a sizzling skillet. They were not and warm would be gracious. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
