Fosters Freeze

I've been going here consistently over the course of 7 years driving up and down the Grapevine, and this is a truly wonderful classic establishment. The owners operate the store full time and are always a pleasure to interact with, and their food is surprisingly good for fast food at its price.

My first impression of the building almost made me think of eating elsewhere but I'm glad I chose Fosters Freeze anyways. My chicken sandwich was great and onion rings were crispy and not overly fried. Vanilla shake was great too and my friend loved his burger/fries. Inside is closed and the building could use some updating but as the food goes, everything was great.

I’ve never heard of this place until today and I went there unsure if it was even still open. It seems a bit sus from the outside: drive thru only, faded menu, and old speaker system. But…this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. And I don’t mean just “drive thru food” I mean like food as a whole. The ice cream is amazing and delicious with generous portion sizes, the chicken tenders are cooked to perfection and significantly outdo more popular chains, the chili cheese fries were the best I’ve ever had, and the burger? By far the best I’ve ever had I was shocked on how it manages to outdo in and out’s. The bbq sauce was okay but the honey mustard was amazing and generously filled. I adore this place and WILL be returning.

When I moved to Castaic I was so happy to see a Frosters Freeze first thing. Their Triple Berry Cheesecake Freeze is my personal favorite. They may be closing down sometime this. This is heartbreaking because I used to go with my father when I was a little girl all the time. Nice memories of Frosters Freeze from the 1960s.

Always love coming here! Run by a nice couple, and they always thank you for tips. Sometimes a little hard to understand through the drive-thru mic quality and a bit hard to read the menu but I'd say it's charming. $4 milkshakes and ice cream is a blessing once you've gotten used to the other overpriced ice cream places you'll find around...

Long time customers, drive thru location only traditional style hamburger spot, the menu is great plenty of ice cream shake choices. Only complaint if any is drive thru speaker is not so great, Be prepared to order the location is ran by a husband & wife no one else so the husband runs drive thru and is very fast at asking exactly what u want band doesn't not stop asking til you say "thats it". They are Asian and sometimes the accent can make things a bit complicated but besides that everything awesome great prices and good quality

This is a great place with wonderful owners. Stop in for the food or any of the great soft serve treats, shakes, sundaes. Quick drive thru. You know you want to go. I have friends in Valencia who drive to Castaic just to get treats at this Foster Freeze!

Love this Fosters! Best fish and chips ever! Their spicy chicken sandwich is awesome too! Don’t forget to try their sundaes. Super great owners. We drive all the way across town just to come here. Thank you for always adding extra strawberry to my sundae and extra seasoning salt to our fries!

Lobby is currently closed, but the food is absolutely delicious. My wife got a double cheeseburger with a fries and A vanilla shake burger was cooked correctly and was delicious fries were super crispy and had a great taste, and the vanilla shake was thick and creamy overall definitely recommend this place. They would get five stars at the lobby was open. The staff was also very friendly and Brought our food outside to us. We will definitely stop by again.

You can't even go inside to order because it's closed except for the drive thru. And when the guy opened the window at the drive thru to pay, it stunk so bad inside. I should have just driven away right them, but I thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. Worst mistake ever!
