Update since visit Christmas Eve 2021 at Mountain Mike's in Castro Valley California. I have to give a shout out to an employee by the name of David. Give that man a raise👏👏👍 he's polite friendly professional and plane just down to earth . This new visit was June of 2023. Went to Mountain Mike's on Christmas Eve after a candlelight service event but That was in 2021. THE pizza is always so good. I would have to say that they're one of the best pizzas around the Bay Area.

We had no reservations, there were about 20 of us and they already had two birthday parties going on. The staff was fantastic. They had to change a lot of things around to accommodate us and we're happy to do so. I have not seen such great customer service in such a long time. You need to deserve a pat on the back.

I ordered online so I wouldn't have to wait. The order was ready on time and still steaming hot when we arrived. Pizza was delicious. We did not order salad and I'm glad, the salad bar was a mess. Otherwise the restaurant was clean. The back dining area is a bit noisy, that's where people with kids tend to sit. The front dining area was very nice. I used an online coupon so the price was very reasonable.

Our go-to is a large pineapple chicken luau, and for the most part we've had good experiences from this Mountain Mike's. We've probably had over a dozen pizzas from this particular location and the only reason I give a 4 out of 5 is because there have been a few times where it seems like the pizza is undercooked. Tossing it into the air fryer typically fixes the problem, just takes extra time.

It's okay. The pizza is fine for California standards. 3 star because I had a bad experience while family was in town where they would not seat us in a quiet place away from the game area because they just did not want to clean up there. Also, the game area in general is not the best for families, especially those with children.

Didn't have vegetarian pizza available at the "pizza bar," but otherwise there were several different choices. Salad bar was okay. All the booths were either occupied or had dirty dishes on them, as did several places at the tables. Very difficult to carry on a conversation because the flat screen TV had a baseball game on, and seating in back is right next to their arcade area, which had several screaming kids in it. There is additional seating right next to the front door which is walled off from the rest of the restaurant. If you're looking for a little more quiet, sit there if you can.

Pizza is good for chain pizza. I prefer it to Round Table, Domino's and Pizza Hut. Can't vouch for the other menu items like wings or delivery. I only dine in or pickup myself.

I ordered a pizza to be picked up at 5:45pm. When I got there, I was told it would be another 8 minutes. I waited for about 50 minutes while other orders were picked up. One of the workers asked my name, and it turned out my pizza had been ready for a while, but my name was never called. The pizza itself was good, but had to be reheated.

EDIT..... no more pinball :( They have pinball! pizza is fine, salad bar is classic..... but yes most importantly they have a pinball machine like every good pizza place should.

Customer service needs to improve. Especially when they mix up my deliveries and pick ups. Sometimes they make me wait for no good reason. I have been ordering DoorDash food from there and they barely to never pick up my order from DoorDash.

The people working there always have dirty hands and clothes, they need to work on there cleanliness, pizza is always dirty on the bottom like they dint wash the trays right, needs better management

Burnt pizza cost me $52.00. Didn't want to say anything afraid they might spit in new pizza. kids were like "dad the other Mountain Mike's pizza is better let's not come here again." I guess we won't eat here again.

The cheese mostly was edge to edge but the toppings barely covered the middle 9” on a 14” pizza. I will be spending my money at another locally owned pizza shop.

I ordered a pizza a few weeks ago asked for combo pizza with pineapple. They sent us a pineapple pizza instead so I called and complained and they said they would give us a free large pizza the next time we order. Then I call today to get my large pizza and they tell me that they can only give me 30% discount. When I asked to speak to a manager they told me he isn't working. I will get my Pizza else where going forward.

I never go here anymore. I didn't get my pizza so I called. They told me they didn't find the apartment so they didn't deliver it. I was so hungry and upset of why no one called me. He said they did and then just hung up. I called again and they put me on hold and hung up on me again. I called again and the manager picked up and he said he would deliver the old one that had been sitting there and still charge me. I was like no. I needed a fresh one and if they were bringing the old one it should be with a discount since it was done 2hrs ago. They ended up delivering it outside my house on somethings I had outside my patio and the pizza was so cold that it was stuck to the box. Even warming it up didn't help. I don't recommend ordering from here. If your from Castro Valley I recommend the one in San Leandro.

This review needed to be written a while ago when I saw some of the staff in the area where the food is prepped, eating right over the vegetable storage. No one washed their hands and seemed to go right back into meal preparation. Today I called to place an order, as I have done the last 3 years and the man who answered claimed he couldn't hear me. I only raised my voice a bit because I repeated myself 5 times and he still coild not understand me and then he slammed the phone in my face. I called back and asked for a manager and each time I asked he replied with "who dis?" Or "who is this?". I finally said please put a manager on the phone and he hung up again. I called back after a few minutes and another rude individual answered the phone and seemed to be more than uninterested when I told him what just happened and asked for the manager. I stopped ordering from Bronco Billy's for this same reason where the staff act as though they have better things to do than the job THEY applied for. All good, plenty of other pizza joints with better quality pizza and sanitary practices.

I had been using this establishment for years for bday parties before covid hit. I decided to use them this year and after this experience I will NEVER go back to this location. The manager was helping someone in line before me. When they finished I stepped up and he was still looking in the computer. He said are your pizzas all payed up. I stated yes, I have the receipts and . He looks up and gives me a dirty look and says "Oh you're not them, What do you want?" I was looking to buy more items and this is after I have already spent over $150 and my party wasn't over. He finishes with me and I watch as he goes back to where they prepare the dough and he starts touching the dough. HE DID NOT EVEN WASH HIS HANDS. I was absolutely disgusted by his mannerisms (especially with the title of manager) as well as his lack of respect for his patrons. I won't get into the fact that I had a few people sick the next day. I am way beyond disgusted. His behavior has lost a frequent customer. I refuse to spend my money where I am disrespected. THE OTHER STAFF ON SHIFT THAT PARTICULAR DAY WERE VERY PLESANT AND RESPECTFUL AND HAD GREAT HOSPITALITY!

They took 2 hours to deliver my food - which arrived freezing cold and gross. I called to ask them to fix it, and the “manager” on the phone told me they’d issue a refund but won’t come pick it back up / replace it. However, they never issued the refund. I called back in but the manager doesn’t return phone calls. Delivery from them is a waste of money.

Super disappointed. Ordered a pizza for the kids from little Caesars and wanted something better for the adults so ordered a pikes peak large from mountain Mike's. The crust was so thick it might as well have been little Caesars bread sticks, very little meat on a pizza that's supposed to be loaded with meat. It didn't have as much meat as the little Caesars 3 meat for more than 3 times the price. Save your money and order better pizza elsewhere. Had plenty of leftovers because everyone chose the little Caesars. Shocking.

It's been over 2 hours and the pizza still hasn't been delivered. Called an hour ago to check they said it was just put in the oven, I asked him to go confirm it, he comes back and said they are going to make it now. Another hour and it still hasn't shown up. Why they lie all this time I have no idea. They need to say call Dominos we can't handle any more orders tonight. Never going back!!!

I ordered delivery as I had surgery and can’t drive, they gave driver wrong order. First they tried to blame the driver then said they couldn’t do anything about it unless I came to get replacement. I was out 30$ for something I didn’t want until the driver connected me with delivery company and they refunded me. Plenty of good pizza will be getting mine elsewhere

This place says on their website to call and book for parties and events. It says they have a party room, and when you call they tell you no, and that it's first come, first serve and they don't take reservations? How does one book an event without a reservation? I guess cool and I'll spend that money somewhere willing to help me but that is SUPER misleading. If nothing else change the website because you don't host events.

Pizza was pretty tasty. However, I and my 10 and 12 year old girls witnessed one of the managers mistreating an employee. Also, most of the video games were not working. If there's a next time, it will be carry out.

Good pizza, awful location. Don’t order from this place over the phone. More likely than not, they’ll get details wrong and delivery takes forever. Then they’ll use excuse after excuse (otherwise, lie), to appease you, but you get bad service anyway. Would rather dine in, and at a different location.

I got pizza and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was good but the mozzarella sticks were cold. We waited for our food for like 30 mins because they said there oven broke down. They never came to update us of the delay in food we had to keep going to the counter and keep checking with the cashier as to why the food is so late. Customer service is the worse and the kind of people come to this restaurant is also not so pleasant.

I ordered a pizza at 620p, and a woman told me it would be 50 minutes to an hr for delivery. 741p I called because my pizza has still hasn't made it. I called, and they told me they are short on drivers, which I felt should have been disclosed at the time of ordering. That would have given me the option to pick my pizza up. I paid $62.00 with a card so they charged my card as soon as I placed my order. 800p my order arrives. The boneless wings I ordered with my pizza had been picked through. I immediately call the branch, and a man answers. I explained that my wings had been opened and touched. He replies and says "thats impossible." I ask him, "How does he know that? He then replies and says I'm the manager. I've been working here for 16 years, and I delivered your order." I reply to him."How did you deliver my order when it was dropped off 5 minutes ago. I live in Hayward, and tpur location is in Casteo Valley?" He then hangs up in my face as if I said something wrong. I have never had such bad customer service. I will be calling corporate in the am. DO NOT ORDER from here. 👎🏾

I ordered a gluten free pizza from the Castro Valley restaurant last night and have been physically ill since eating it. Apparently the crust was not gluten free. Mountain Mike’s managers need to advise their employees to be careful they make the pizzas correctly. Gluten free doesn’t always mean a life choice, for many it is a health choice! BTW I order frequently from the San Leandro restaurant for lunch without issue.

Mountain Mike’s managers need to advise their employees to be careful they make the pizzas correctly. Gluten free doesn’t always mean a life choice, for many it is a health choice! BTW I order frequently from the San Leandro restaurant for lunch without issue.
