The service was fast, friendly, and full of good vibes — special thanks to Eric, Hope, and the rest of the kind staff who made our morning even better. Definitely a must-visit in Palm Springs.

A Palm Springs Favorite Townie Bagels Townie Bagels is hands-down one of the best stops in Palm Springs for a real-deal breakfast. Their olive & fennel bagel (weekend special!) is incredible chewy, savory, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of bagel that feels like a treat and a ritual. I paired it with a smooth cup of Joshua Tree Coffee rich, roasted just right, and totally worth lingering over. And don’t even get me started on the black and white cookie buttery, soft, with just the right balance of chocolate and vanilla glaze. It’s hands down the best black and white cookie I’ve ever had. Classic New York vibes in the California desert. Friendly staff, great vibe, and seriously good bagels. Worth the line every time

This shop has some of the best bagels in Palm Springs! This place is busy almost every day with both locals and tourists. They always have an amazing selection of fresh bagels and all of the fixings, as well as pastries and other baked goods. We like getting their breakfast bagel sandwiches, too. We love their large selection of options for both vegetarians and vegans on their menu, including vegan bagels, vegan cheese, vegan eggs, vegan cream cheese, and vegan sausage and bacon. They have gluten free options, also. They also have carry out items available like chicken pot pie, shepherd’s pie, and cheesecake, as well as fresh pizza dough. Service is usually pretty fast, but on busy days there is often a line out the door, so expect a little wait. Prices are very reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating are available.

Incredible Bagel spot. Freshly made with a fluffy bagels and toppings. High quality products full of i credible flavours. Beautifully balanced options available in a menu. Good coffee too.

The most insane bagel I’ve ever had, our whole family of five each got something that was custom which I loved, price totaled about 80$ for food and drink which is alright. The place was packed with locals so you know it’s a good spot. Will definitely return and recommend. (Come early big line but sooo worth it).

My friends and I came here around 9am on a Sunday, the line was out the door, but the food was delicious! We ordered the bagel and lox as well as the egg and cheese bagel. The egg and cheese bagel was smaller than the bagel and lox.

Townie Bagels is a gem of a bakery that offers a variety of fresh and tasty bagels. I appreciate that they post their baking schedule, so I can always get my favorite flavors. The bagels are light and delicious, with a perfect crust and chew. They also have a bake your own section, where you can buy dough and toppings to make your own creations at home. And if you’re looking for something more than a bagel, they have a menu of savory items. Townie Bagels is a great place to enjoy a satisfying breakfast. Closed every Tuesday

Ordered the Lox Works and was one of the best Lox Bagels I’ve had in a while. What makes this place special is their dessert bagels like French Toast bagel with Maple cream cheese! This place does get lines out the door partially because they aren’t the fastest at being made. However the quality is worth the wait.

Traditional NYC style boiled bagels - yes they are probably going to be smaller than you expect but they are still very hearty! Breakfast sandwich was excellent, service was nice, went at 9am and they were out of some bagels already so make sure you come early! Will be back the next time we are in town.

Decent bagels and definitely a hot spot in the area, it was very busy both days that I visited. I enjoyed the Townie Bagel Sandwich on sesame. Only thing that wasn’t great was the cashiers attitude. The tall guy with glasses and hat acts like he’s doing you a favor taking your order. He just stared at me as I was trying to had him my order card. Maybe it’s just his personality but it’s definitely off putting.

Unique hotspot to grab breakfast and coffee! •Cold Brew Coffee 5/5: best cold brew I’ve ever had! I think they brew Joshua Tree Coffee, which had an incredibly deep and bold flavor, yet it wasn’t bitter. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend! •BLT, and Egg + Bacon Bagels, 3/5: I had a BLT, friends had Egg & Bacon. It was packed, we waited 30mins for our order. The waiting wasn’t the issue, it’s clearly popular, we were just a bit underwhelmed with the bagels. •Lemonade 5/5: “refreshing”, according to friends. Excellent homemade lemonade with just the right amount of lemony tartness and sweetness! •Service 1/5: my encounter could’ve been a one-off, I’ll preface by saying it’s very busy, so I’m sure staff are under a lot of pressure! The person who took my order was, um, I’ll say brisk… I asked if he could please add a light splash of cream and one sugar to the cold brew coffee I ordered, he got surprisingly irritated and quipped that I could go to the condiment station. I hadn’t seen the station since people were blocking it waiting for their orders, so had I seen it, I wouldn’t have asked him to add anything.

The bagel was amazing and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured by the person who took our order — Eric. He was incredibly rude, sighed loudly, and made us feel like a burden. It was uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. It’s a shame because everyone else was great, but his attitude alone makes me not want to come back.

With two toddlers begging to eat the staff in an incredible rude display of holiday spirit. It’s clear the staff here do not care about children. Fact, their request was to cut the bagel that just slice it once. How pathetic, I’ve been coming here since they opened now with no worries I’ll stop. Hopefully, they get replaced by people with a more flexible and open mindset. Update: Andy, owner, below used “safety” and “policies” as reason to avoid making this right. The amount of safety issues that were all too obvious at his establishment are not being addressed but cutting a bagel for a toddler is top priority 👍. Pretty sure Eric was part of the staff, all male coincidentally of course, that hated on another male with children. Anyone can easily search Eric’s name in the review and see he is a source of discontent for the customers here and the fact that the ownership provide provides lame pacification in response is true to who they are as people. Good job Andy, keep your fake attempts at caring to yourself. Before you were successful at this location, you were kinda nice, but it was clear you were hiring a bunch of jerks. Now you have a reputation in town of being one.

We have always had positive experiences at Townie's until Sunday 11/8. The bagels were stale and hard as a rock. They added 3 bagels to our bag free of charge, presumably to make up for the poor quality but that just resulted in more bad bagels. We have enjoyed their food so much in past that we will probably give them one more chance but that's all.
