This was my first time here & I was very pleased. I ordered the chicken taco salad & it was very good & fresh. Every single table along the walls were filled so yal must be doing something right. Service was great & she kept our drinks filled. Will definitely have to come back for a second round.

Just moving to Alabama from Texas. Not many places to eat in this remote area but the Mexican was pretty good. Back home, it's called Texmex. Maybe this is the difference. The food was good but missed the bite I am accustomed to. I ordered the Carnitas. I almost avoided them since the menu said deep fried. Carnitas is slow cooked like a pot roast, not deep fried. I figured, what the hell and tried them. It wasn't deep fried. They were really good. Next time I'll ask for jalapenos to get some bite. My wife had the same feedback. She's from Alabama but been in Texas long enough to enjoy the bite. I'll be back to try other items on the menu.

This restaurant is very plainly decorated: It's not unique or beautifully decorated, but it's a good Mexican restaurant with an as-expected menu and good, consistent service and food.

Always good food. Love eating here. Today, however, the food was not prepared like we ordered. The taco salad is never spicy but today was FULL of black pepper and i ask for no cheese sauce and they left off the shredded cheese. The tamales were chicken instead of beef as ordered. The cook was off today 🙂, but I will always come back here!

We had very good service. Our dinners came out fast and hot. Our chip and salsa bowls were kept full. The chips are the thick yellow corn type and the salsa is thin with no chunks. Overall decent for inexpensive Mexican food.

The cheese sauce was great at this place! The chips were freshly made, decently priced and nice portion sizes as well. The interior was big and the options for seatings were awesome too! Big tables, booths - I'm sure 2 person parties can be accommodated with no issues. It was easy to find, the parking was decent and the staff and owner were wonderfully cheery and hospitable. My brother and his wife live nearby and them and their kids go there all the time. It's a nice small town vibe, my brother and his family knew lots of people walking in and the town folk are extremely nice with that top notch southern hospitality that I've come to adore and admire! Definitely recommend to try! The food was good, forgot to mention! They were accommodating for the kids who weren't too big on spice. The meat was cooked perfectly on all dishes and they have no problems or delays when it comes refills, extra sauces/sides or even a baby spitting up on the floor 😅 my 1 y/o nephew had an accident and they were so sweet and caring! Loved this place!

Sub par for Mexican food. I ordered the Chili Rellenos that the only pepper was cut piece placed on top, wasn't an entire whole pepper and so small; although tasted good, doesn't come with the rice, beans or tiny lettuce, tomato salad which is extra. The service was nice, older gentleman was friendly and fast. The salsa is pureed not chunky and was okay, chips was good. Very sub par food.

Just an opinion, it's ok but not good. It's a mediocre Mexican restaurant that is busy due to a lack of competition in very small towns.

I ask for large taco salad n below is what a recieved ..😡There was also some kind of leaf in it ..I dont think leaves belong in a taco sald ...very disappointed..

You might need to think twice about ordering top shelf when ordering Margaret's. Save money and stick to regular. Just as good if not better. I'm not to fond of not having an itemized ticket when going to pay. Seems like I've been charged two to three different prices for the same meal on different visits. Maybe an update in that area for them to consider.

Food was great. Service was bad. Asked for onions & spoon & never received them. After asking someone else she said she'd take of it & we still didn't get it. We had to retrieve our own straws for our drinks. Whole dining experience went from bad to worse, but the food was good. Maybe I need to order out next time. I'd get better service, I'm sure.

Are there new owners?? The food wasn't nearly as good. The veggies weren't even cooked on the fajitas
