Cedro is owned by the folks who own Bartletts and The Rotten Bunch (they used to have the best mozzarella appetizer, but closed a few years ago). We have been wanting to try Cedro for a while now. I'm so happy we finally made it! Our waitress was Emily and she was great, and friendly! There was a lot to choose from! My husband had the PEI mussel appetizer and thoroughly enjoyed it, although he wished it came with a little fork (but he made do with fingers!). Everything is made in house - so we also ordered the focaccia bread. It comes toasted and with parm on top. They usually give you olive oil and balsamic for it, but because of my restricted diet, I couldn't have. Bread was good! I skipped the appetizer so I had more room for dinner! I ordered the branzino and gnocchi (potato) in a cream sauce with mushrooms and butternut squash. It was VERY good - a bit rich, so be hungry if you go! I couldn't finish it! The fish was perfectly cooked. My husband had the lamb shank over polenta - and savored every bite. It was tender and the polenta was well cooked. I skipped dessert - I was stuffed - but we got the Tiramisu to go. One minor note - all of their red sauces, including the marinara, have wine in them, which I can't have. I wish the marinara was like most places - alcohol free. Overall a lovely meal! We will be back!!!

The seafood risotto was amazing. It was creamy, flavorful, and full of fresh seafood. The rice was cooked perfectly, and every bite had great texture and taste. Carlos, my waiter, went far and beyond to make the experience truly worth more than five stars.

Literally this is the best Italian restaurant in Austin!! I tried a coupled of famous Italian restaurants but no one could beat this one! Recently I saw this restaurant on the company lunch website (please keep offering on Wed plz!) and I couldn’t be happier! Also yesterday was my first time they gave me free bread so I should start writing a review. I visited this restaurant fairly regularly more than attached pics since 2022. (Can you please serve the gnocchi back? It was the best gnocchi ever!) (Not sure if the recipe had changed, but I like old way mussel…) Their pasta is the best, you can change the noodle and sauce! Service is great. Restaurant itself is big enough, honestly not as fancy as other luxurious restaurants but their pasta is the best. (I tried their pizza once but I like pasta better….lol)

Came here twice while in Austin on business. Both times had polite, friendly and quick service. All the staff recommends the calamari and all food was great but a couple standouts were the bruschetta and fig pizza. The bruschetta was well constructed and better than many I had in Italy. The fig pizza was also fresh and balanced. Edit: finally remembered to take a photo before eating the food. Blueberry cheesecake made fresh in house, tastes great.

My review is based solely on my to-go food delivered to me by a third-party; I had the most amazing fig flatbread pizza . I’m always up for something new and while I’ve had fig on pizza it seems like a different combination so I thought I’d give it a try . My goodness I’m glad I did. I was only gonna eat half and save a half for the next day - yeah I ended up with about a third left. The side Caesar salad was delicious. The Caesar dressing is really unique with a really rich Caesar dressing that I can only guess as flavored from anchovies or some kind of special ingredient because it has a very rich deep flavor in the back of it. Wonderful. And to end all of this -like I needed more -I got the cheesecake which is whatever isn’t season so the cheesecake flavors change… again I’m always up for whatever so I was hopeful. And man, I was pleasantly surprised. I am a lover of lemons and this cheesecake with a fluffy whipped kind of texture full of little bits of lemon, fresh and wonderful, zesty and creamy on a very thick crust, but not overpowering. Just a great combination. Absolutely wonderful . Next time I’ll have to head to the restaurant… when I have more energy😆✌️ so I can fill in the rest of those stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a sister restaurant of Fig Italian Kitchen and Bar. Two highly recommended dishes were the braised lamb shank and the seafood risotto, both of which were nothing short of perfection. The lamb shank was tender and flavorful, slow-cooked to perfection with a rich, savory sauce that complemented the meat beautifully. It practically fell off the bone, and the accompanying vegetables were perfectly seasoned, adding a delightful balance to the dish. The seafood risotto was equally impressive, with a creamy, velvety texture that showcased the chef’s skill. Packed with fresh shrimp, scallops, and mussels, each bite was a celebration of flavors from the sea. The saffron-infused rice added a luxurious touch, making it a dish to remember. The ambiance was welcoming, with attentive staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!

15 dollars for 2 Arancini balls is a bit ridiculous esp as they weren't that great. The mozz in the middle was a chunk and not mixed in. Other than that, the service was exceptional, he made wonderful cocktails, served our pasta on our dishes and was really great. The facility itself is nice, however the large painted : SCRATCH KITCHEN looks very unfinished.

Overall, it’s a cute little spot to grab lunch or dinner. There was nothing bad about it. We had the grilled focaccia and arancini to start. The focaccia didn’t really have the crispness expected with the grilling and the arancini had way too much rosemary. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs while I got the pappardelle ragu. We both could tell immediately the pasta is absolutely freshly made which makes a huge difference. My ragu was good but the sauce was a bit bland. The spaghetti and meatballs were also good but the sauce was a bit bland. Overall, I think it’s still worth trying and the staff/atmosphere are amazing.

Cedro is tucked into a shopping center near Lakeline Blvd. This is my 2nd time but sadly only have had snacks to nibble on since the time of day I’m going is in between lunch and dinner. IRS only getting 4 stars for food because I’ve only had snacks but they were mighty tasty. It was hot outside so I was craving burrata and a cold vino. Ir was happy hour so I dined on calamari too. The inside is smaller with a larger covered patio. Sadly the patio view are cars from the strip center parking lot but gives the option at least for those who enjoy sitting outside. That’s a plus for me. One of these days I’ll get to try one of their main dishes and pasta. Oh and the limoncello spritzers go down your throat too quickly. :)

The food was decent overall, but the Caesar salad was far too garlicky for my taste. The main issue was the service timing — our child’s meal was served significantly later than ours, which wasn’t appropriate and made the experience stressful. To their credit, the staff tried to make it right by offering a complimentary dessert for my son and removing his meal from the bill. I appreciate the effort to correct the situation, but better coordination with kids’ meals would greatly improve the experience for families.

Visited Cedro Scratch Italian & Wine Bar with a friend and had a mixed experience. The restaurant definitely has a nice Italian vibe, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our server was really friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. We ordered a chicken pizza with mushrooms, pasta, garlic bread, and focaccia. While everything was well-presented, the food itself felt average from our perspective. The flavors didn’t quite stand out and came across as a bit bland, especially compared to other Italian restaurants in Austin that offer bolder and more memorable flavors. I also tried a cocktail, which was decent but nothing exceptional — I’d rate it around 3/5. Overall, this place earns points for its ambience and service, but the food has room for improvement to really shine. With more depth in flavors, it could become a much stronger dining option.

First time ever eating from here so I tried something simple which was the spaghetti and meatballs and let me tell you it was MID ladies and gentlemen. Maybe it’s because I’m from New York City so I’m very spoiled with Italian food but this is one of the easiest dishes to get right and they failed. The marinara is lacking, the noodles were way too mushy and the meatballs can knock out your grandmothers dentures. The people inside were very nice at least. Definitely won’t be ordering here again.

Small mom and pop restaurant in a strip mall. Food is good but not great. Clientel is very nice. Downfalls are No specials and menu rarely changes. Little to no marketing done tl get people in the door. Cheesecake best thing on the menu and the caprese salad. I noticed dishes are often cold or undercooked and sent back. There's only a few tables in the restaurant with rickety tables and chairs, minimal decor. You can tell they didn't have much money to start this restaurant or spruce it up. Management runs around yelling at staff, especially the big girl, instead of helping and supporting them during busy times. This leads to constant staff turnover. Bread is only available by request or with purchase. Pizza tastes bland. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want carry out. This is coming from a NY Sicilain Italian person with almost 30 yrs. In the Restaurant industry.
