I come here EVERY Wed for take out. It's worth the stop. Food is fresh and excellent. Plus they have a great variety and it's all great. It's always hit and tastes homemade. Plus Samantha upfront is always nice with her suggestions and her smile. She makes the coffee just rt. It's a family run place and you can tell. It's A+. Trust me. Dee-lish!
10/10 on everything! The pork with rice and beans are always perfect. Seems like the recipe might have changed but still very tasty!
We recently visited Cedeno's Cuban Restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance felt like stepping into a cozy Cuban café, complete with lively music and vibrant décor. The menu offered a fantastic selection of traditional Cuban dishes. We started with the classic Cuban sandwich, which was perfectly pressed with just the right balance of roasted pork, ham, and pickles. The flavors were authentic and brought back memories of Cuba. Their black beans and rice were rich and comforting, and the plantains were crisp and sweet. Service was prompt, and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations, ensuring we got a true taste of what the restaurant has to offer. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or an introduction to Cuban cuisine, Cedeno's does not disappoint. We’ll definitely be returning for more!
This place has awesome food cheap and really really good food
Went for the first time and liked the food. I bought the churrasco with tostones and avocado salad. They give you a lot of food, I was expecting a lil salad, but was a big plate, which is really good. Employees are very friendly too. Good atmosphere.
6/5 stars. Food was Phenomenal everything was super fresh with amazing flavors (ask for the cilantro sauce trust me ) . The entire menu looks incredible so excited to try everything.Prices are the best in the mall hands down not even close. The owner Alex is an awesome person, I came in last minute so they were out of French fries but he turned the fryer back on and accommodated me. Can’t recommend this place enough.
EVERYTIME I visit this restaurant I get nothing but pleasant results with the food and staff. The individuals here are not only friendly, but genuinely make your food with care and love. The food is absolutely phenomenal, I recommend the chicken and steak with yellow rice and black beans with tostones but all of the food is 10/10. I am here once a week and the owners know me by first name now, that’s how good it is. I am currently obtaining a nutrition degree and am a 500 hour yoga instructor so this food is not only healthy and fits my criteria but it’s convenient on my busier days where I do not want to cook. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. This restaurant needs more recognition and support but something I can guarantee is it will ALWAYS have mine.🫶🏼 go try them out you will not regret it, and try the absolutely yummiest cilantro garlic sauce ❣️ Eddie and Robert the owners are the best!!!
I have enjoyed this local Cuban cuisine that I ate here every lunch during my three days stay in plantation. I would recommend for people who are less seasoned palate, this is only my personal opinion.
I am visiting the area for a few days to get away from my hometown in The Bahamas. I choose this restaurant as I entered the mall, I glad I was leaf there. The pull beef with white rice plantains was definitely a game changer! Food was really delicious..
My daughter goes to college near by and whenever we come down to move her in or out, I have to stop at Cedeno's. The people are amazing and the food is too. Make the time to try their authentic Cuban offerings! You won't regret it!
Authentic Cuban food... in a mall food court? Who knew a gem like this existed in the heart of Broward Mall! Cedeno’s Cuban Café completely surprised me. From the moment I walked up, the staff was incredibly friendly—welcoming, patient, and genuinely eager to help. The menu had a variety of home-style Cuban dishes, and the prices? Absolutely jaw-dropping (in the best way). I ordered the daily special: goat stew with three sides—all for just $9.99. Yes, you read that right. My sides were lentil soup, sweet plantains, and yucca. The goat was perfectly tender and full of rich flavor. The lentil soup was comforting and hearty, and the sweet plantains were caramelized just right. The yucca was the only thing that fell a bit flat—I personally like mine tossed with sautéed garlic for that extra flavor punch. I also couldn’t resist trying one chicken and one beef empanada. They were HUGE—seriously, each one was the size of my head—and both were crispy on the outside and generously filled. Final thoughts: Cedeno’s offers flavor, hospitality, and value all in one spot. It’s not every day you find food that tastes homemade, served with heart, and priced under $10. Whether you're in the mall shopping or just craving authentic Cuban comfort food, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. A true hidden gem in an unexpected place
I stumbled upon Cedeno’s after shopping at the Broward Mall. It was late and I wanted to eat, but didn’t want the usual fast food options. I was pleasantly surprised by my meal. The food was fresh and delicious. I would argue it rivaled the food at some of the local big name Cuban restaurants at about half the cost. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered me different sauces to try with my meal. I won’t hesitate to eat there during my next trip to the mall.
I recently placed a large order for my entire production team of 18 after a long and busy day, and I’m unbelievably happy that I stumbled upon Cedeno’s. The restaurant called to clarify a few details, which I always appreciate, especially with big orders. Not only was the meal incredibly satisfying, but every single one of my team members was happy—and that’s a rare case! With our new warehouse not too far from Cedeno’s, I can see this becoming a go to spot for us. You have a new fan. Thank you so so much.
Wow, this food was super authentic and delicious! Their prices are worth every bite. I appreciated the amazing staff who attended me at the very last minute before closing. They treated me special and made sure I left with a wonderful experience. Thank you!!
I love it. I had Beef and Potatoes with rice and beans. I would come and eat here again. Definitely recommend to anyone.
5 well-deserved stars for Cedeño’s Cuban Café at Broward Mall! I ordered chicken with rice and sweet plantains—everything was spectacular, homemade, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, friendly, and fast. Definitely a place to come back to!
There's plenty of options, and I wanted to try this restaurant. The menu is easy to understand. The food ends up being very good. I like the rice and salmon here. I would eat here again. I recommend it if you want to try out some delicious food.
In passing by the food court at the Broward Mall in Plantation, I spotted this much-needed Cuban food eatery! They have a varied menu of all the Cuban favorites, so it was hard to make my selection without being glutinous. The attendant was very pleasant and helpful. I opted for something quick to go: chicken croquettes (made with béchamel sauce), an Iron Beer soda, and a tres leches. It was a better-than-good experience and I want to go back and have an actual meal there.
Wow!! I have eaten here several times, but I just had the chivo, and it was spectacular!! This would be great food if I was in a very nice cuban restaurant. But right here is the Broward Mall food court is the best Cuban food!! That's crazy! It's a nice mall, but this place is a total gem! Do yourself a huge favor and try it!! They have 2 homemade sauces behind the counter. Ask for them. The red is super spicy, and the green is mild. They are both delicious!
I have to get to the point on this amazing Place Located in Broward Mall in the Food court. I am back at it again, just circulating around the area, I have been here serval times now and it still has the amazing freshness of flavors, I have tried several dishes and you can mix it up if you want, you need to let the cashier know what you would like different from what the menu has. Now! they do give a good size portion of food, the food is made fresh to go as you can see them in the back cooking, also give it a try to some of the flavorable drinks they have. The price is all worth it. If you are in the area of the Broward Mall area great place to eat and walk around after a Yummy Meal. Enjoy....
A great place to go get food! Found it while I was on the train down to Florida and it was near our hotel. We went there and found out it's a giant food court of a shopping area, but the owner she is very nice. Recommended picadillo and I believe pollo de jardinera and it was delicious! We ordered extra for later and also empanadas, cordadito, flan and tres leches. All of it was delicious and can't wait to come back!
Surprisingly good Ropa Vieja for being located in a mall food court. The maduros were nice and tasty. They have Dr. Brown’s soda, which is one of my favorites. The beef empanada was good.
The service was good, the cashier was very friendly. The food was soo good and they serve a lot for a good price.
The high quality food, friendly, fast service, and authenticity at Cedenos is a welcome reprieve from the food court doldrums. My first visit included an order of the Bistec de Pollo with rice and beans, plantains, yucca and cheese croquettes, and a Cortadito all under $15; enough for 2 full dinners. I’ll definitely make this a regular stop at the Broward Mall or for my next DoorDash run!

We ordered twice from here while vacationing. The black beans were okay. Sweet plantains and yellow rice were yummy. Pulled pork is outta this world!! Portions are very generous for $10 - I shared it with my two young kids.
I just have to say this is the best Cuban food I’ve ever had, oxtail was amazing, chicken rice super yummy! Everything fresh and tasteful. And honestly to be inside a mall I wasn’t expecting much of it but definitely impressed me. Definitely would be coming back
Daily you will find a wide selection of food choices, they are all tasty! The portions are plentiful and service is quick. I'm so grateful that they are just minutes away, so I can get my favorites whenever I want.
The food here was amazingggg!!! Perfectly seasoned and good, super affordable and the staff are super sweet. I had the palomilla steak with yellow rice black beans and sweet plantains and everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing definitely recommend eating here and they’re prices are really good and affordable
The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Had the Cuban sandwich with sweet plantains which was delicious. The plantains were the best I've had.
Ive only been fortunate enough to try Cuban food a few times. When I knew I was coming to the area it was my mission to find a great homemade feel Cuban restaurant and even though this is in a mall food court it felt like I was eating in someone's kitchen. The staff were polite and friendly. Thanks you all for a great and affordable meal
Wanted to find something to eat on my break and I’ve always looked at this spot and finally decided to try it . Everything is hot and fresh the atmosphere is great I had the breaded fish . It was very delicious and i definitely will be returning
Wow , I don’t have enough words to describe the food !! Only I can say was SPECTACULAR!!! And the customer service was faster and very , today was my 1 time but can’t be the last !!! I WILL RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
Best Cuban food in the area!!! Always fresh. Homemade sauces are amazing! You forget that you are in a mall food court and think you are at abuels's kitchen table!! I'm bringing a flowery plastic table cover next time I come😂

Food is pretty good, only issue is you get a lot of rice and a small scoop of meat. My go to is cuban toast with cheese and tostones, its really good. It comes with toast cheese and plantains but Depending on the person you order with. Sometimes they'll give you your side and Sometimes they wont. Ive made them aware.
Had the pork sandwich and the pork tasted great. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Food was not great, but pretty good considering the price. It is a great value. Would give it four stars if they gave decent fork and knife. I mean they give you literally the cheapest, most flimsy, unusable plastic ware on the planet. I had to pick up my steak with my hands to be able to eat it. 🙄
I order the breaded steak with yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains... black beans were plain, yellow rice hard, plantains was the only thing that it was ok. The steak horrible, it was like a piece of hard leather and not sure how they breaded the steak because the crust came off intact...never again
Was charged 12:95 for the Salmon plate when the menu says 10:95. When I brought it to the cashier's attention she said she knows and that the price on the menu is wrong😳, to which I said the price needs to be changed on the menu then and she says she's been "telling them for months".. so people are just being falsely overcharged! The food was decent.
The pastelitos empanadas and croquetas were soaked in dirty cooking oil had taste like old oil, to top it off the pastelito had a hair on it and a little fly. Also the tostada tasted hard and like they put it in a garlic resedu grill that wasn’t clean! Disgusting and the guy looked at me funny like it was funny and said it’s probably just an eyelash do you want another I said no that’s disgusting, total disappointment. Not fresh food at all. 0 stars
In a mall, and really terrible Cuban sandwich that comes on a plastic looking not-crispy bread. Cheese was barely melted and the meat was rubbery and bland. Easily worst Cuban sandwich ever had, which suprised me given the reviews being positive and located in South Florida near Miami.
Found hair in the food Today disgusting it was to late for me to take it back I was already far headed home just threw the food away waste of $13 dollars I will never return here disgusting and unsanitary.
Great food! I usually get great customer service from all the staff 💯. 🛑 The cashier, who was an older lady thought I didn't speak Spanish and criticized my hoodie I had on, because it was hot outside. It doesn't feel good to have someone talk crap about what you're wearing, especially when they don't know why you're wearing it. I asked her and the other employee that she was with, if they were talking about the weather. She replied yes, and she had all the time in the world to apologize for criticizing what I wear, and saying it in a language that she "thought" I didn't understand. These are the top of things that shouldn't be happening when a customer comes to eat great food.
Ordered these food for my grandma and paid $19 for these junks. Was supposed to be “skirt steak” but it’s just a dry, very salty piece of thing that looks like someone’s leftover food. What was supposed to be “empanada” was very dry and thinnest one I’ve ever seen in my life. And where is the meat? Quality is horrible. Definitely not worth it. Threw them away immediately and bought other quality food. Not sure how they have the good reviews, probably from those that just want cheap food, not about the good quality.

I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. It is literally a waste of money and you will end up completely unhappy. I ordered two dishes, a churrasco and roast pork. Instead of roast pork they sent me ropa vieja. They kindly told me that I could go pick up the roast pork, although I’m not going to do that, because the quality of the food is very bad. Let’s put it this way: the churrasco, on a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it a five because the meat wasn’t bad, but it was not churrasco meat and that was more or less the only thing I liked. The ropa vieja that these people sell, which I did not order, is terrible very poor quality, very badly made. Let’s talk about the sides: red beans for one dish and black beans for the other. I didn’t even try them because just by the horrible smell they had, I threw them straight into the garbage disposal. The tostones seemed like they had been made a week ago. As for the maduros, they were not freshly cut plantains they were frozen ones reheated, which was terrible. The vegetables were okay, nothing special just boiled vegetables. In addition to that, I ordered a chicken soup and some chicken croquettes. Let’s start with the chicken soup: it looked like a pot of noodles with a small piece of chicken, and it looked like they spilled a ton of yellow coloring in it it looked horrible. I didn’t try it either; it also went to the garbage disposal. And to conclude, the croquettes: I took one, cut it in half, and it looked like a fossil of a croquette. The appearance was so disgusting that I didn’t even try it. It looked like it had been fried a month ago and then reheated. It would be good for the owner of this restaurant who I imagine invested a lot of money into it to pay attention to the quality of the food that is being served, because that is how businesses are lost.
