Absolutely loved my experience at SYN! The vibe was immaculate from the moment we walked in—elevated, intimate, and effortlessly cool. The cocktails were top-notch—creative, well-balanced, and served with style. But what really set the night off was the music. Johnni Bravo (the DJ) absolutely nailed the energy. He started with smooth, chill house vibes that set the perfect tone, then gradually built into some groovy, feel-good mixes that had everyone vibing. You could tell the crowd was locked in. It wasn’t just background music—it shaped the whole atmosphere. If you’re looking for a spot with great drinks, a sexy ambiance, and music that actually makes you feel something, SYN is the move. Can’t wait to go back.

SYN is hands-down one of the best cocktail bars I’ve been to in Charlotte. The space itself has such a cool, laid-back atmosphere—dim lighting, stylish décor, and that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The drinks? Incredible. Every cocktail I tried was mixed perfectly, with unique flavors that weren’t over the top. You can tell the bartenders actually care about what they’re serving. And then there was the DJ… wow. Johnni Bravo was on the decks that night, and he made the whole place come alive. He started with some smooth, mellow house tracks that got everyone in the zone, and then gradually brought in these groovy, uplifting mixes that had the whole room smiling. It was the kind of music you feel in your chest, not just your ears. If you want an amazing night out with great drinks and even better vibes, SYN should be at the top of your list.

Fun new speakeasy that opened. Much more refined vibe than the place next door. Great ambiance with even better cocktails. Definitely remember to grab a reservation to avoid the waitlist (though the wait was worth it) will come back for many date nights. Bartenders are top tier and super knowledgeable

We came here for a 30th bday and they gave us a super sweet welcome and made it special. Atmosphere is really moody and upscale without the overcrowded bar feel like Southend usually has. I’ll come back just for the fun drinks.

Gorgeous bar, great cocktails.. and the paintings on the wall are dope! The manager, Dave, is always so warm and professional every time I visit.

Very nice “Gentlemens Club” and the bouncer An**** super guy. This is not like the clubs around in the 90’s and 2000’s but classy, and now you know my age:)

I definitely thought I was gonna hate this place. I was ready for a snobby, overpriced bar and was instead blown away by a very courteous, knowledgeable staff. Drinks were well made and reasonably priced, especially for the level of craftsmanship that went into the drinks. Be careful in the bathroom though — the faucet is high pressure and the sink is very shallow!

We checked out SYN a few weekends ago and instantly loved the vibe. We’d been wanting to try the new speakeasy and it did not disappoint. The drinks were excellent and the atmosphere felt cozy and intimate. Johnni Bravo was DJing that night and his set was amazing from start to finish. We loved it so much we actually came back this past weekend because we saw he was DJing again. it was just as good the second time, if not better!

Went here last night after dinner. Cute entrance and friendly staff at the door. Were seated when we arrived though we were early for our reservation. I highly recommend reservations as this place is cozy . Once seated , the male server took our drink orders and then we never saw him again. Our drinks were sat at the bar and we had to ask one of the other servers to grab them for us which she did. But the server assigned to us never checked in on us the entire hour we were there. He just kept walking by and serving other tables. We finally had to walk up to the counter and ask to close out with the bartender. Honestly the cost of the drinks were escalated and the service was not great . The aesthetic was cute and could be a good date spot. But I wouldn’t go back on a girls night.

First time at a speakeasy. Atmosphere was very nice, and the staff were very friendly and courteous. On the hand, drinks were overpriced and they do not serve any food. Good experience, but unlikely to return.

The interior was beautiful designed and the drinks were good, but the music is so bad that we definitely didn’t stick around for more than one drink.

Walked 10 minutes to get there and nobody is outside to let people in. :(

Bad drinks and worse bartenders.

The service here is what makes this place a bad experience. The hostess makes it feel like you are walking on eggshells here. The drinks are pre mixed. You are basically paying $20 for a mixture of juice and a splash of alcohol. They dont have food but they has some popcorn mix that the waiter gave one small bowl for three people to share but the other table he gave everyone a bowl. The music choice at this venue caters to the people they want to attract to come there which isnt many.
