Felix Modern American Dining

We were very excited to see a new spot in the neighbor and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The menu has a little bit of everything from small plates to steaks! We had the caprese, crab dip, loaded potatoes, lasagna, and burger! Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. Also love what they did with the place- the atmosphere and vibes are great. We’ll definitely be back, and can’t wait until you have your brunch and cocktail menu up and running!

We ate outside ahead of a ballgame, perfect day weather-wise and our meal and service continued the trend. I started with the delicious purple line martini-surprising flavor. Another guest enjoyed the margherita flat bread and my husband consumed the Reuben sandwich-which has now claimed the top seat in his quest to find the world's best Reuben! We will make a point of returning.

We came in on a Tuesday night during happy hour and had the best time! Lesley, our server, was amazing and attentive. She recommended some happy hour cocktails and we are obsessed with them. Best cocktails in the area, hands down. Appetizers were perfect and we LOVED the Elote salad. We live in the area and are so excited to have a nice place to go for dinner!

This place opened at the end of May 2025 and it has been a great go to for their food and happy hour! The happy hour drinks are very well priced and they have a handful of happy hour plates you can share with people. We had the Lasagna, Parmesan Fries, Calamari, Mac n’ Cheese, and Caesar Salad. The Mac n’ Cheese and Lasagna were the best dishes by far. Everything else was very tasty, too. On top of that, they have a great atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I brought my extended family here for dinner on a Saturday night - we live in the neighborhood and wanted to try this place out! We have also since been back just to sit at the bar and have the Toscana Flatbread (which is truly EXCEPTIONAL) but unfortunately didn’t get a picture of it. Great ambiance and fast service, we had a circular table for 6 by the window which was nice to be able to chat. Drinks were good, and I’m happy to report they have Yuengling on tap! Will definitely return.

It was such a delicious meal! I can’t get over it! And knowing it’s Post Malone’s fav too! The spaghetti croquettes were ridiculously good. Drinks like Golden Negroni wow . Loved that Elote wedge and flatbread. Must get their apple pies!!

Extremely impressed with Felix! I’d been wanting to try it since it opened a few months ago, and was very satisfied with the experience. I typically order beer or wine as opposed to cocktails, but the Mango Grove Spritz piqued my interest and was out of this world. The crab rangoon dip and spaghetti croquettes were delicious crowd pleasers. Our waiter, Israel, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t have had a better experience, and we will definitely be coming back!

Got an invitation to try fall menu & im falling for Felix! The flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection!

Just had dinner at Felix and WOW, what a gem. It’s American comfort food but with modern, thoughtful twist that totally works. Think elevated classics that still hit all the cozy notes. We started with the Crab Rangoon dip (DO NOT skip this) and for entree we had a 1871 burger, crispy skin salmon, lasagna (drool!) and creamy Mac and cheese, all very yummy. The vibe is super chill but stylish, great for fun girl dinners or date night. And since the restaurant is walking distance from Wrigley, it'll be perfect for a pre-game bite or a post-win celebration ;) Definitely adding Felix to our regular neighborhood rotation.

Everything about Felix is so wonderful the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, I cannot recommend it enough!!! The shrimp de jonghe is a must have, the flatbreads are a delight and the crab cakes are out of this world. Highly recommend the 312 martini as well!

Great service and a great vibe for a date night, double date, or drink with friends. I had the beet root caprese for 15$ which was a little underwhelming but it tasted good.

Ate here a couple of times and overall enjoyed it. The burgers are really good.

Went for the first time last night. Nice atmosphere and great food. Would be a perfect spot for a cocktail and some appetizers. Will be returning!

Nice calm and relaxing environment. Great staff, service, and food. Met the owner and great guy and employees. Ordered 20oz ribeye medium Diane style. Not to salty, not to peppery, not to fatty. Came from California for some baseball games and better then fine dining restaurants that serve steaks in California.

Juan Carlos did double duty as bartender and our server and did a tremendous job. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. The pork chop, bacon wrapped with a root beer reduction, was phenomenal. Maybe the best I've ever had. I'm excited to go back and try the other cocktails on the menu. The Purple Rain was delightful, floral without being too sweet. We'll be back!

Food was fabulous, absolutely to die for! We all loved our food on the brunch menu: the BLT, the Reuben, and the marg pizza were our favs! I loved the mimosa and the Purple Line Tini 🥰 we can't wait to come back, and try to enjoy the patio if you can! We didn't get a pic of the food because we ate it SO FAST!

Just stopped in for the happy hour. Drinks and food were great. Service was great as well. The busser was on their game too, we were really taken care of :)

Loved this place. Drinks were on point, great espresso martini. Sides had good portions, mac n cheese was great. Every bite of the ribeye was melt in your mouth buttery. Also, fried giardiniera with the calamari? Cmon. Spectacular. Good vibes, good food, good drinks will be back

I’ve dined here multiple times, and it never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is amazing — energetic yet comfortable, making it great for a casual dinner out or a special night. The food has always been great, with dishes for everyone's tastes. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and always welcoming, no matter how busy they are. It’s become one of my go-to neighborhood spots for the food, great service, and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This is becoming my favorite Lakeview restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food! Must try: Crab Rangoon Dip, Caesar Salad, Crab Cakes, Brussel Sprouts, great cocktails and more. Sunday Brunch Smoked Salmon Benedict and French Scramble. Reasonable prices and Happy Hour specials.

I had a wonderful experience at Felix. The happy hour offerings were an excellent value, and the food was delicious with good portions. The meatballs and the Caesar salad are absolute must-orders. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu! 😊

Everything was incredible here. I came with my family and we all were very impressed. The Felix burger was incredible. The chicken vesuvio was so good. And the peas and leak pasta was so good as well. Very beautiful ambiance and a very quiet family friendly restaurant. Couldn’t recommend more!

Ate there last night for Happy Hour. Amazing food, drinks and service. Had the Brussels sprouts - crispy! Delicious meatballs and ample Caesar salad. Great artisan cocktails and wine. Loved it! Will be back.

Great place by the same amazing owner behind the equally delicious Bites restaurant a few doors down! Cozy, chic atmosphere with great service - our server, Keegan, was a star. Great wine list but the cocktails are a show stealer. MUST order the beef carpaccio 🤌🏻

I've been here for a few times for brunch. The food is good and there's a great bottomless mimosa special! Also, great people watching if you get a coveted spot by the corner windows. I recently tried their dinner menu and dare I say, it was even better than brunch! I will definitely be back to try more entrees!

Was recommended by a friend at work to come here and we are so glad we did! So cute inside and every one of us loved our meals. Our top favs were the spaghetti coquette and the double bacon burger.

We started with the Heirloom Bruschetta which was fantastic! Our favorite dish of the night. For our mains we ordered Double Cut Pork Chop and the Felix Burger with sides of Asparagus and Broccoli. Sadly, the pork chop was a bit bland in taste. While the Burger was pretty good with some unique flavors. The sides were fairly good as well. Excellent service from our server!

Classic American dishes served in a sleek & modern space. The food was solid but leaned a bit safe overall. The aguachile was refreshing though quite spicy with large pieces of jalapeño. The Toscano flatbread had a lovely crispy texture, topped with rich goat cheese & hot honey, and the Brussels sprouts were similarly satisfying with their cheesy notes. The Alfredo was comforting but not especially memorable. Overall, a decently enjoyable meal in a polished setting, though it would’ve benefitted from a few more creative choices on the menu.

Felix has an interesting ambiance inside with a large dining room with lots of plants and a colorful accent wall. It’s almost like a Caribbean vibe. I got the Chicken Caesar Cutlet which was fantastic. A bed of perfectly dressed caesar over a big piece of chicken. I’m glad I couldn’t finish it so I could enjoy some leftovers later. My mom had the Greek Scramble with a side of fruit and really liked hers as well. The service is top notch and they’re always checking in on you to make sure you’re doing all right. If you’re looking for a brunch spot off Clark St, I recommend coming in and trying out Felix. Their eclectic menu is fun and should have something to satisfy any craving.

Food was very good. Steaks were prepared perfectly, great flavor. Drinks fantastic. But service was meh. It looked like obe of our orders was probably forgotten, so the 3 orders came out, and then we just sat there waiting. Noone checked on us and said anything about the 4th order that was like 15 minutes behind. Once ot showed up it was good, but it wasn't even hot. Interestingly, we were there on a Saturday night at 6:30 and the restaurant was half empty. NOT a good sign. The food was good tho. Really good.

Came out to try the brunch menu at Felix. The smoked salmon flatbread was a hit! Tried eggs Benedict for the 1st time & was surprised at how flavorful it was. There is a live dj but the music is not overbearing. You're still able to converse with your group without yelling over each other. Drinks made by Jenna were good also. I had the Peach Bellini!!

3rd edit: Got a nice reply and gift card from the team after previous experience. Went back and burger and apple hand pies were great. A few minor order snafus but bartender was very friendly. Crossing my fingers that things keep going in the right direction Edit: Went for a second visit on a late Sunday afternoon and was ignored after being seated. Left without ordering after ~25 min. Saw reports of similar experiences here in the reviews, so seems to be a recurring problem. When I arrived, it was very slow—there were only two other tables occupied and both parties had their food—so the lapse in service felt particularly inexplicable and unacceptable. - - - Original review: I wasn’t a big fan of Hutch, so I was excited to see a new restaurant open here. Really nice design refresh and atmosphere and friendly service. Had the meatballs and mac and cheese, which were both tasty. Looking forward to trying the entrees another time. My one suggestion is that this restaurant feels like it should have a much more interesting dessert menu. It’s clear that a lot of deliberation went into crafting a thoughtful menu overall, but I feel like the dessert didn’t get the same attention. They can do better than a generic brownie with ice cream or a cheesecake. But overall, good first impression!

Everything is five stars once you sit down. Burger decent but the rest of the food was not great tasting. Wished I had spent elsewhere . update: great people helped remedy it

Kind of expensive for what you get, we got 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and a crab rangoon dip and after tip it was 120. Surprisingly the crab rangoon was the standout

Came here for brunch with a large group this morning. It was pretty hot in the restaurant and I saw they had several large fans placed around the dining room that weren’t really helping. We were asked if the temperature was comfortable when we were done with our meal. Our waiter was fine but struggled to keep our waters full/get us a carafe for the table. I ordered the Goat Cheese egg scramble and was told there was no gluten free bread option or substitute. When my food arrived the plate looked sparse with maybe 5 pieces of potato, a little salad and a small serving of eggs. I doubt there were even two eggs there. However, my friend sitting across from me got the Chilaquiles and her portion was huge. I was super underwhelmed and thought it was pricey for the amount of food I received.

Cute place with decent food although probably wouldn't go out of the way to go. The drinks were good and good happy hour selection too. Meatballs were a bit overbooked but still tasty, calamari was chewy and the fried jalapeños it came it was the highlight of the dish, potato skins were good and so was the Felix burger. The bar area is walled off from the dining room which kept it too low key, lacking in energy.

Disappointing experience at Felix. Upon arrival, there were many dirty tables. We ordered the wedge salad with chicken and double bacon cheeseburgers. The salad was overly salted with store-bought ranch dressing. The added chicken was beyond dry. The cheeseburgers were overcooked and dry. We will not be returning but such a shame as a great location.

Service wasn’t great. Server seemed to disappear after taking order. We had to flag someone down for drink refill. I also had a HORRIBLE steak it was tough and chewy. Only was able to eat a third of it. Served offered no apology. I certainly won’t be going back. However judging from the emptiness on a Saturday night, I doubt they’ll be around much longer.
