Was here with a larger group and we all enjoyed our meal. I had gotten the Chicken Pot Pie and was not disappointed. Great brunch place!
Our favorite breakfast place in the city and has consistently been for the past few years. We keep trying other highly rated placed but keep coming back.
Food was very delicious and extremely fast. Place looks very pretty and stuff was awesome!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere, it was very modern and eclectic. I got the lemon blueberry pancakes, they were incredible!
The food is incredible. Great waiters and cooks. Brunch is very good.
Great food and service. Fresh ingredients. Fantastic omelettes.
Innovative menu! Excellent staff!! Attention to details... The best!! Gin and Jeffrey are the BEST!!!
Excellent food great service one of the best places I've ever ate!
Nice upscale cafe nestled in the Lincoln Park neighborhood that serves a wonderful breakfast and lunch menu. Interior is spacious and inviting, and they have a small outdoor patio as well. Across the street from the Whole Foods and a hidden little gem in the neighborhood.
Very popular for Saturday and Sunday brunch! They have a great Bloody Mary bar, and serve several Bloody Mary variations (e.g. with bourbon instead of vodka). Good service, friendly staff. Good is also on a par with other restaurants.
The food was great - we sat at the bar, no waiting. The waiter was super friendly and made great recommendations. Delicious savory, delicious pancakes - there aren't enough stars to praise it. We'll be back!
The owner has been crafting pastries and treats for decades! Everything that comes out is truly amazing and sensational to my taste buds! Beautiful views inside and outside! Breakfast lovers heaven!
Best shrimp and grits in Chicago. They are only offered on special, so call ahead to be sure they will be available if you are planning to order them. Scones and maple bacon, both available all the time, are also highly recommend.
Phenomenal. Very nice, simple decor. But more importantly, killer food. We sat outiside in the sun and enjoyed the bloody marys, whole wheat carrot pancakes (really good), and the chilaquiles scramble. It was a fantastic meal and I can't wait to return.
This is a great location by whole foods, but no parking available. Great food, excellent service. Only problem is the noise level being too high. They need to put sound reflector panels on the ceiling.
Great coffee, good breakfast and great sandwiches. Little on pricey side so I don't go often, but I always enjoy coming here for an early lunch.
Best brunch I have ever had. Service was excellent and owner was extremely kind. 10/10 would recommend.
Loved it!i Great brunch for the area and not too long of a wait. AND right by whole foods!
Amazing breakfast and brunch joint. Wait times can be long on Saturday and Sunday mornings but well worth it.
Consistently solid food and service. Had the avocado toast and was super pleased with my choice!
Suggested by a friend, great food. Had lunch there after I Fly. Not cheap but food quality to price ratio was appropriate.
Great place for a healthy breakfast or lunch, or even a delicious muffin. Great gluten free choices
It's lovely, clean and fancy. And also the food is fantastic and great service
Very creative take on breakfast and brunch. Really good Eggs Benedict on the weekend.
Delicious food, but don't buy the orange juice... They just bring it from Mariano's...
This place is great. Very open, welcoming vibe just across the street from Whole Foods. There's a valet parking lot they share with VIPs. So I suppose you could get a lap dance and brunch if you'd like. But otherwise, the food is rock solid and the servers are very friendly. We took our one year old son here and appreciated the fact that they had kid-friendly utensils and a kids menu as well. Highly recommend this place!
I was in the area looking for a different breakfast place but tripped over Kingsbury. I'm so pleased I did! The menu was unique and diverse. The prices were downright reasonable and the house blend coffee is outstanding. Service is thoughtful and attentive without hovering or intruding (this might be the first restaurant I've ever been to who's server didn't wait until I had a wad of food in my mouth to ask me how my meal was). One minor misstep was corrected quickly and I have no complaints. I had the yogurt with lemon zest and a self built omelette of fresh spinach, avocado, chicken and gruyere... All mouth watering.. And that bread! Drool city!
We came for breakfast. The service was excellent. We had our 18 month old with us and ordered the egg, potato and bacon kids meal. It was an impressive portion for a kids meal. The bbq chicken eggs benedict was really good as were the lemon blueberry pancakes.
Good atmosphere. Across the street from the gigantic Whole Foods is a genius business idea. The food & watermelon/strawberry mojito were very good! They initially delivered all the food to the table but the waiter forgot the pancakes for my 6 yr old cousin, BUT it was immediately corrected & comped. The drinks are reasonably priced for the size but some of the food is overpriced. Toast & fingerling potatoes sausage ot toast can't be the standard add-on for everything, when you have other places that offer a short stack for the same exact price
I've tried them at lunch time and I was pleasantly surprised! I had a salad but the Iced Tea and desserts were my favorites. The place is super organic in a neat space! When checking out their menu and peeking in I was offered a free muffin that was very tasty!!
This place is pretty unique. The menu has unique options such as Vietnamese coffee and salad. Makes me think that maybe the owner is influenced by SE Asian culture. Anyway, the lemon pancakes are bomb. The only downside is that wait can be long. We went on a Sunday for brunch and had to wait 1 hour with a group of 3. It also gets really crowded inside so we waited outside.
Kingsbury Street Cafe offered great food and a good atmosphere for a Saturday brunch. I had the Kingsbury Eggs Benedict, which was great, and came with some great potatoes as well. They also had one of the best cups of coffee I've had at a brunch location in Chicago. The only downside to Kingsbury is that it's somewhat out of the way. If you shop at the Whole Foods across the street, or have some shopping to do in the North and Clybourn area, this won't be a problem, but either way, it's worth a trip to check out this spot.
I've only done breakfast and bruch, but they've got delicious pancakes, and the Cluck Moo Oink (i think?) sandwich i had was amazing as well. Portion sizes are large and well worth the price.
A great place with enough seating to get a spot during the ever-popular Saturday and Sunday brunch scene in Chicago. Though pricey, the food options are delicious — especially the barbeque chicken eggs benedict. Don't forget to pick up a pastry item or cupcake by the cashier before you leave!
Love supporting the local kingsbury street cafe which has a lovely brunch menu and great food. I'm a huge fan of the decadent kingsbury street benedict with barbecue chicken and poached egg on an English muffin and they have a large selection of baked goods and cocktails. The service can be hit or miss, but that won't prevent me from coming back. They also offer valet parking for $4 at the lot next door.
Decent food, but great ambiance. Kingsbury gets a little packed on Sundays, but if you come after 1pm, the wait should be manageable (less than 15 minutes).
First visit, great place delicious food. The lemon pancake is a must to enjoy. Nice waitstaff. Right across from whole foods on North Avenue
Make sure to make a reservation for Sunday brunch! However if you forget, counter service is available. Great mimosas!
Been twice. First time I went it was fantastic. Second time it was OK at best. Pancakes are delicious.
Great food. Great service. Good suggestions when you can't decide what to get. Cosy atmosphere
A bit pricey, but very delicious. The coffee is so thick it sticks to your ribs. Mmmmmmmm
The food was delicious, a nice fusion menu, the waiters we're on top of the water hardcore, but the high ceilings and loud music made it hard to hear the conversation
Kingsbury Street Cafe was a pleasant surprise. It's a surprisingly big, nicely decorated restaurant. The staff was great and responsive. I managed to drop two pieces of silverware and don't think I went more than 15 seconds without a new one. Our waitress was really enthusiastic (maybe a bit over the top) and did a great job. I had the Kingsbury Street Breakfast. The eggs and bacon were really good. The cheese scone was excellent. The tomatoes and potatoes were good, but a bit bland for my taste. It didn't really feel like a single dish, but 5 little ones that were each pretty good. My wife had the lemon pancakes and they were delicious - a little tart and not too sweet. $4 valet parking in an area without much street parking is nice as well.
Lovely brunch spot. Good decor. BBQ Benedict and salmon hash were great. Waited about :30 at 10:30a. Food came fast, server was delightful but slammed so a tad slow. Parking in the lot was only $4 with validation. Week be back but week come earlier or later to avoid a wait.
A cute brunch spot with tasty and affordable options. I went with a party of 10 and everything looked and smelled delicious. Solid Bloody Mary. The croque Madame was wonderfully savory and topped with the kind of egg you just can't wait to cut into. Great, strong coffee.
In the area, the only actual brunch establishment around. Parking is a nightmare (even with valet) because Whole Foods is across the street, but this place is worth the trip. Quality brunch fare if you're into the sweeter side of things. Kind of like a hipster/yuppie IHOP with way better ingredients. They have great seasonal pancakes—you should order some and plan on sharing with your table. I'm partial to the strawberry and pumpkin varieties. I've never tried the savory fare, but all of it looks delicious, so maybe one day I'll get past the tasty pastry side of things.
With all the fuzz we expected quite a good breakfast. It wasn't the case ... average at best
This place was middle ground for us. I didnt really find the food outstanding in terms of taste or variety. I did really like the vietnamese coffee- I had it cold, I would get this each time I go there. We also liked the devilled eggs- they come with chorizo on top but that doesnt really add to the taste sadly, more the texture. We got a side of maple bacon too, this was also well made. We tried the special- the shrimp with cheddar bacon and a fried poached egg on top- while this sounds amazing, it wasnt really out of the ordinary, and we also tried the lemon pancakes. they come with a lemon sauce on top which can be rather tart but the rest of the sauce is nice. The pancakes were a little dry to me. I like the look and feel of the place, nice open space with high-ish ceilings and minimal atmosphere. The service was pretty good- only one lapse when we asked for sweetner for our coffee and that never showed but we just grabbed some from the next table.
Easy location. It is on the first floor of 900 n Michigan shopping mall. Decent coffee. Great lemonade. Small variety of bake goods. Cookie is good though. I wish they open earlier but same as other shops in the mall..guess that make sense but I need early morning coffee sometimes before 9 am.
Food was plated well and looked delicious but was not very good. We ordered french toast and shrimp and grits and both were served cold. The replacement french toast was still cold along with the sauce. The turkey sausage was underdone. This was my 1st time here and will probably be my last time.
