Lark was such an amazing experience. Loved the Halloween decor. The patio was gorgeous and covered. I don't know if I've had a better brunch experience. $29 for bottomless brunch drinks. They let us take our time. We ate and drank for about 2 hours. I had the breakfast sandwich which was delicious and substantial. The cheesy hash browns were the quiet hero of the meal. Must be made with witchcraft. I could've eaten them all day. Sam was an amazing server. Made sure our drinks were full, very personable, witty, fun to talk to. Would absolutely go back next time I'm in Chicago

First night in Chicago for a birthday trip! This place is absolutely amazing! Our server took amazing care of us and we just happened to stumble across unlimited spaghetti night which was such a treat. I highly recommend this place! It's affordable and so tasty.

My friends and I go to Lark almost every week because we love it so much. Whenever people come into town to visit, we will always bring them here. The food is great, it’s so cute, and the service has always been amazing. Last night, we had Steven as our server and he was so great! Very attentive, had great recommendations, and just made us laugh! I will definitely be asking for him every time I come back!

Went here for Drag brunch on a Sunday. The food and bottomless drinks (mimosas, bloody Mary's, seltzers, etc) were on point! Fantastic! The drag show was cool but it was less of a show and more or an appearance. Its one queen, who was great, but just popped in for a song or two and then off she went. Regardless I would absolutely visit again!

Came here for the first time for Drag Brunch on Saturday. We were seated right away, the bottomless mimosas were amazing (they have other bottomless options) the food was delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. The best part was the Drag Show! The queen was amazing, kind, and put on a fabulous show. Make sure to bring your single dollar bills to tip the queen. Also, I would recommend reserving your table online on their website or OpenTable. Thank you again Lark! I'll be coming back!

Stopped by for a drink solo. Great selection of cocktails, great happy hour deals. I recommend the cocktail with Chai, it was probably one of the best chai cocktails I have ever had. I also go the Brownie Sundae to go, and 100% will be back for food.

My fiancé and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and we both enjoyed our time here. The ambient lighting and the music were perfect. Our server was very kind and helpful and the food and drinks were great! My fiancé was elated to see that they had THC beverages! I was elated to see the size of the chicken wings! Highly recommend the chicken wings! I’ve been thinking of them ever since! Their cocktails are great. I love their duck mules and especially love that I get to keep the duck! This place is great and we can’t wait to go back perhaps for bingo!

I was amazed by the food here - can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this. Our server told us our orders were his two favorite things on the menu, and I believe it. I can’t imagine anything better than the chimichurri steak and fried chicken we were served. I suggest sitting away from the windows if they’re open, as it’s an unavoidably noisy neighborhood and it can be quite overwhelming. Service was good and, I must reiterate, the food was amazing!

Went here on a Saturday for drag queen brunch! I got the breakfast fried chicken sandwich, which was hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I have EVER had. I also had a Bellini which was good. And the drag queen performance by Vivian Dujour was amazing, I have been to a few drag shows around town but she was hands down one of the best. Love her energy. Love her outfits. Love her commentary. I had such a great time here ❤️

It was a nice place to sit and chill having dinner and drinks. Food was good quality and good. Huge indoor area with bar and music. Outside is breathtaking. Full of greenery and music. Must stop by you. I'll love it

My group received stellar service, our food was fantastic we had burgers, the lemon and goat cheese pizza, bread sticks, and drinks. I got the Lark Smash Burger and onion rings, be prepared to get a to go box the burger is so big! Prices seemed on par for this area. They do have a happy hour between 5pm - 7pm on drinks and some appetizers. Sat out on the back patio which was surprisingly large and very comfortable. I am looking forward to going back!

One of my favorite places in Chicago! They have great food from their brunch menu to dinner and the servers are so nice! Even the patrons that frequent this place are friendly. During brunch hours on most Sundays, they have a drag show or other event to entertain you while you eat. 10/10 recommend.

If you're a pizza lover like me, you owe it to yourself to try Larks. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a family dinner. My girlfriends had a fun night with pizza, wings and karaoke!!

We ordered beyond burger and crispy chicken burger here, they were fresh and delicious. They have a beautiful patio in the back.

Decided to check out Larks from the recommendation of the hotel I was staying at while in Chicago. I ended up going during their brunch hour. Good food and great entertainment as it was drag brunch hour! The mules looked so CUTE though! I wish I had gotten one but I was still dealing with a mild hangover from the night before. XD

It was our vacation home away from home. A group of us were visiting Chicago. Our Airbnb was just 2 doors down. We made reservations one night for dinner and the staff was fantastic. They were excited to greet us. They were prepared for us and even got our food out fast. We went back 2 more times during our trip. Once for their Saturday night Karaoke and again on Sunday for their pop-up drag brunch. 10/10 you should check this place out.

Food was very good. Got a cocktail with sage and it was refreshing like lemonade. Pizza choice was the italiano, with pesto, ricotta and mozz, perfect for after a couple rounds of drinks! Prices weren’t bad either 4 drinks and a pie about $65. Will def be back

Lark’s got an Oktoberfest menu that’s worth checking out. It includes schnitzel, German burger & bratwurst (The Schnitzel is great!). Good vibe, spacious interior and a beer garden make this a great place to come and hang out. The setup suggests to come and stay awhile rather than trying to turn over a table.

Today Lark was absolutely perfect! Just finished a 10K run and needed some brunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. The team kept my glass full #bottomlessMimosa

I felt like I stumbled upon one of Chicago’s best kept pub secrets in Boystown. Their holiday decor is perfect! Seasonal cocktails so cool. The crab Rangoon dip and cheese breadsticks were insanely good. Get all 4 styles of pizzas they have wood fired there! Dubai chocolate cake for dessert will take you days to finish but well worth it! They do drag brunch on the weekends! Awesome place for private parties from bingo to karaoke! Go, go, go! @chicagopescetarian

Just got into town and staying around the corner! We did a take out order and got the ham and shrooms pizza and side caeser salads. It was ready right on time and was SO GOOD! 10/10 would recommend!

I enjoy going to Lark for Vivian Du Jour's Extreme Bingo. The food is always consistent and good. Service overall is good. Vivian Du Jour has a sparkling personality and is a delightful bingo host! Her performances are high energy and engaging. In the past, I've ordered the Arancini appetizer. I describe them as fried risotto balls served with marinara sauce. Scrumptious shell texture with velvety center and a nice cheese pull. Their Beyond Burger is stacked tall with all extras, including lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. The burger is complemented with a generous serving of fries, but I prefer to have their Tater Tots. They have Nachos, but they also have Totchos, with Tots replacing chips. My favorite item is the Lark Lemon Pizza, made with shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, pine nuts, goat cheese, and fresh basil, served with a grilled lemon. I ordered a Brownie Sundae, which is sized for sharing. I would love if they offered smaller dessert portions. I enjoy their wide array of Duck Mules, which are all garnished with a whimsical rubber duck!

On a recent business trip to Chicago, a coworker/friend mentioned that she has never been to Boystown. So we decided we will spend the Saturday night bar hopping. We came to Lark Restaurant for food, but ended up staying for the Karaoke night. What a fun and lively night. The ambiance is lively, fun and welcoming. The food is exceptionally delicious. The drinks are impressive and potent. The service is attentive. Amazing and memorable night.

Love this place. It’s our favorite in Chicago. Love the atmosphere and the food is always great! I’ve tried multiple menu items and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Fantastic beer choices and mixed drinks. Tonight our family went and it was bingo night. We didn’t play. We sat in the side room by the street side with open air next to the wood fired oven. We feel very welcome in a great neighborhood. We’re a straight couple btw. I shouldn’t have to say that but just incase you’re on the fence about going it’s awesome and fun! Just go.

Great food (ultimate fried chicken sandwich A++, elevated comfort food). Cocktails were delicious, my party had 3 different flavored mules and each came with a cute little rubber duck. Staff was welcoming and attentive! We stumbled upon it while walking down the street and heard the crowd having so much fun. So glad we stopped and caught the last hour of drag brunch! Had a wonderful time!

I had a lovely time. I was in the neighbors and stopped in for a quick bite. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. The menu has a little something for everyone. 10/10 will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

The food and drinks were great. The closing manager on Sunday night 10/19 was fantastic. We had a large obnoxious group that can be sometimes a lot to deal with it and through it all he offered quick service while juggling so many different tables. Working in hospitality is not easy… people demand so much and there is very little thanks. I just want to extend a very kind and gracious Thanks for dealing with a loud table.

I recently visited Lark Restaurant after a glowing recommendation from one of my coworkers, who couldn’t stop raving about their outstanding pizza. I’m happy to report that it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place was something special. The patio area was colorful, clean, and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere struck a great balance between casual and charming. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor, which added a lot to the overall experience. It’s always a plus when the staff genuinely seems to enjoy their work. Now to the main event – the food. The pizza was truly one of a kind, with rich flavors and a perfectly crispy crust that could only come from a brick oven. It was fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I also tried one of their burgers, which was equally impressive – juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Whether you’re a pizza enthusiast or just looking for a great meal in a welcoming setting, Lark Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch comfort food with a creative twist.

All the staff are actively friendly and welcoming. I love coming here for karaoke, sometimes with friends, and sometimes I drop in by myself. Different levels of crowd, sometimes a group for a birthday party is there. They have great pizza and fries. They should have a larger size of fries as an option. Good selection of cocktails too.

Lark Restaurant & Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a vibrant drag show. The ambiance is lively and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The food is exceptional, with each dish showcasing culinary artistry. The flavors are bold and harmonious, creating a symphony of tastes. The drag show is a highlight, featuring talented performers who entertain and engage the audience with their charisma and wit. The atmosphere is electric, with laughter and applause filling the air. The service is generally attentive and friendly. However, during the transition to a different waiter, there was a brief moment of frustration, the reason for which was unclear. Nonetheless, the food and drinks more than made up for this minor inconvenience. Overall, Lark Restaurant & Bar is a highly recommended destination for a memorable night out. The exceptional cuisine, lively drag show, and attentive service create an unforgettable experience that is well worth the 4.5-star rating.

Beautiful bar/ restaurant. The vibe was great, music was awesome. Latest EDM hits and mixes. We were seated right away and got water right away but waited for a long time for the server. But the wait for our food was unseasonably long, more then 25 min. I am not sure why, as the bar was not that busy. Service was very slow and kinda lost, both of our servers were like that. The food was very tasty though and the drinks too, but I am sad to say that we have had upset stomachs after we ate. The brownie ice cream was super sweet. The most expensive item we got was a ceaser salad, $20, and definitely not worth the price. I have to say that they are overpriced. But I loved the atmosphere and vibe.

Went here to grab a quick drink for Market Days. It was not that busy and we were quickly seated at a table in the middle of their drag show. Everything was going great until the server said we were each required to order food. We had just eaten and were stuffed and we're not told about this requirement. So we paid for our drinks and left.

We just had the happy hour here, which was a great special on well drinks. This is a seriously classy looking place with a bit of edge to it. When you first come in there's a rubber duckie cut in half to show a skeleton. Lots of other off the cuff but classy arty stuff. Staff is great, music is great.

Great spot in Boystown for pizza and drinks. I’ve also gone for the weekend drag brunch where seating and food can be hit-or-miss.

Great location. Once of the few restaurants in the area. I am not impressed with the food. It is average, so if tasty food is your primary goal this is not your spot. What this place does well. Great service and friendly staff. They are also being really good about following guidelines for COVID-19. They have a large patio out back with plenty of umbrellas to protect you from the sun. The food comes out quickly. The drinks are great. They also have an all you can drink brunch mimosa special on Saturday and Sunday. It is a great place to have a LGBTQ meet up or casual meal.

Nashville hot fried chicken and pancakes, was too spicy, but give it a try if you like it extra spicy. The shrimp ceviche was incredible, very well flavored and balanced, sorry, no pic of that. Service was great, thanks Jose.

We were a group of 5 and we dined here on a Friday evening. The 4 others ordered a cocktail and everyone was happy with theirs. For appetizers we orders an aracini and Buffalo cauliflower. The aracini was well made but the buffalo cauliflower was just a downright miss. When we ordered it, we thought that we cannot go wrong with cauliflower. And boy, they made sure that we were proved wrong. The cauliflower that came out was uncooked , and the Buffalo sauce (which was all on the bottom of the plate and not over the cauliflower)was tasteless. We pointed this out and they took back the cauliflower and brought it out after two minutes with pretty much no change ( it was slightly more cooked but still very raw). The pizzas were decent , have had better ones. ( we ordered one pepperoni and one vegetarian ). A big disappointment. Service was good, food took a while but not an unreasonable time. There are plenty of better places in the area.

DRAG BRUNCH: Let’s start that drag brunch is kind of boring. A lot of potential of space, performer, food, mimosas and lighting. BUT. we stay there for 2 hours and ONLY 3 songs were performed. Kind of expensive brunch for so short time of show. not RECOMMENDED

This place is fine. Relatively clean, food is decent, and the location is prime if you're hanging out in Boys Town for the day. The menu is basic bar food with a focus on pizza; we were not overwhelmed by choices nor did anything stand out, but it tasted fine. I woulda have given 4 stars but the pop was flat, the food took a while, and the vibe was meh at best for a Sunday evening. The waiter was... well, certainly not fun or notably pleasant. But the 20% tip was the lowest default option during the "rapid checkout" he provided so he got that at least. Nothing was glaringly bad, I just wouldn't say anything about this was above average with the exception of the price tag. $96 for a pizza, a salad, 3 beers and Pepsi. I get that they're getting by in an expensive part of town, but there wasn't anything redeeming enough to bring us in again. That being said, it's not bad if you want a decent bite in Boys Town.

This was a weird experience... We came for brunch with our friends that got married last night. We had a group of about 14... asked about separate checks when we made the reservation... the person we spoke with said "no problem!" We arrived right at 11am. At 11:20, the server, Noe, finally took our drink order... then at 11:45 took our food order. Again... we've been there 45 minutes and you're just now taking our order? The menu says tables have a two hour max... interesting... and dude had one other three top. The place was not busy. A couple of us ordered bottomless mimosas... could've fooled us though. I had to get up twice to find our server to ask for refills. I wanted to split an entree with my partner. Noe tells us that we CAN'T share a plate of food... that we HAVE to order separate entrees... Then he tells two of our GF friends that they don't really have a GF menu... just to let him know what they don't want (e.g no toast, sub fries). I wanted a bagel... which btw, you cannot order on its own... you HAVE to order it as an entree add-on. Well... even though bagels are clearly on the menu, they haven't had bagels in awhile... Food came out. Three orders were wrong. They were corrected relatively quickly. Food was VERY mid... lukewarm stuff I could make at home. Bill comes. Were informed- no separate checks... and of course no one knows who we talked to on the phone. My boyfriend and I Venmo'd our buddy for our meals. We each had an entree, bf had one cocktail, and I had bottomless mimosas. With tax and 20% auto-great, our portion was $142... IKYFL!!! Pleaseeeee tell me why a breakfast sandwich on a hard ciabatta roll with a small scoop of "funeral potatoes" was $34? Drag performance was wonderful! Here's the thing... we dine out a lot and this is obviously a very competitive neighborhood... plenty of options. The experience was unsavory... if I am spending close to $150 for brunch, I expect great service and food. Lark really missed the mark. We will not recommend this place to friends and most likely will not be back. I do hope Lark can get it together. We want to see businesses in the neighborhood succeed!

I want to preface this review by saying I’ve been to Lark many times before, and my experiences have been inconsistent. This review reflects my most recent visit. I stopped by Lark on Friday, January 9, to grab dinner before meeting friends for an early birthday celebration. The bar area was packed due to RuPaul’s Drag Race being on TV, so I sat at the bar since I was alone and didn’t want to take up a table. I ordered the Chipotle Lime Chicken sandwich with tater tots—and the wait was excessive. The kitchen was moving extremely slowly, which was noticeable not only to me but to other patrons at the bar as well. When my food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The chicken was shredded and poorly presented, barely warm, and overall unappetizing. The dish was a complete miss, and I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. As someone who has visited Lark multiple times, consistency and food quality clearly need attention. There are solid dishes—especially during brunch—but outside of that, I would proceed with caution.

This past weekend, my fiancé, two friends, and I visited Lark Restaurant & Bar. Upon arrival, we walked through, had our IDs checked, and proceeded to the bar rail. While I was placing a drink order for the four of us, my fiancé and one friend stepped away to use the restroom. Shockingly, the General Manager, Ralph, followed them and stated that the restrooms were for customers only. They explained that we were, in fact, customers and that drinks were being ordered. Ralph then proceeded to ask them where their drinks were, an unnecessary and inappropriate line of questioning that, in this case, was rooted in racial profiling and discrimination. As the only white person in our group, it was obvious to me that my Black fiancé and friends were singled out solely based on appearance. They returned visibly uncomfortable to share what had happened. I immediately addressed this with the bartender, who informed Ralph to stop. Ralph responded by rolling his eyes and giving a dismissive head roll, a completely unprofessional reaction. After finishing our drinks, I waited to speak directly with Ralph, but he was nowhere to be found. This type of treatment is unacceptable in any business, but especially in the hospitality industry, where customer service should be the top priority. No one should be harassed, questioned, or judged based on the color of their skin. Treat all patrons with dignity, respect, and professionalism from the moment they walk in the door. We will not return to this establishment and strongly urge management to address this behavior immediately.

P
Pete Calcasola

Service seemed good but the food never arrived. The server said the kitchen was small and they were too backed up 45 mins after we ordered. We sat in the bar area which had many open tables. Looked like the back patio was full, so they said. This restaurant needs to get their kitchen act together. Never have eaten there and I guess we never will. Adios Lark

DON'T PRE-ORDER DRAG BRUNCH TICKETS (like I did!!) TOTAL WASTE OF $$$ it's $85 for the brunch w/ bottomless drink. the food sucked so bad. the "drag" part was boring- there were two queens and they each did one song, after an hour I left so I'm not sure if they did any more songs in the second hour. Between the garbage food and non-existent drag show, I felt soooo jipped with ordering tickets online. Plus I don't even drink alcohol very much so I got the free shot and one mimosa but after that I was done drinking. Plus we tipped server and the drag queens. If you want to try out the "drag brunch", I recommend just showing up and ordering what you want (food and drinks) unless you're going to drink $85+ in alcohol alone. only about a 1/4 of the tables were occupied so unless it's some crazy event that has a high demand to be there, I recommend NOT reserving with event brite on the website. overall it was really boring and felt like a huge money grab by Lark. Also, Lark- get some more vegan items added to your menu. I'm so sick of beyond burgers, and the avocado toast didn't seem like it would be filling at all (and doesn't justify the $85 brunch), so I went with the asian crunch salad and it was horrible so gross and over-dressed. At least add some avocado or tofu. It was all cabbage and canned mandarin oranges with a ton of dressing. Someone at my table also had the biscuits and gravy and said it was bad too. And that stupid coffee cake in the beginning of the meal is just extra padding to make it seem like youre not totally ripping people off- let's be real.
