Opinions de Cocodine Thai Cuisine Chico
Party of 2 went for dinner the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Reached the restaurant around 6pm and were seated within 5 minutes. Really liked the interior decor of the place. I had the mango sticky rice to start, and we shared the papaya salad as an appetizer. I had the signature fried rice with beef. All the food was good quality but it took almost half an hour after we had ordered for anything to arrive at our table. We were starving after a day full of hiking in Lassen NP. The restaurant was packed for sure. Ample parking in the lot outside. Total including tips and taxes came to around 65 bucks, so pretty reasonably priced I'd say.
I've long heard of Cocodine's delicious food, but only just tried it myself - and it lives up to the hype! Everything was extremely flavorful, the tofu was cooked to perfection, and there were plenty of clearly labeled vegetarian options. The staff was also extremely nice. We'll definitely be back.
My favorite Thai place in Chico. Been coming for years. I ordered Phucket Island, Pad Thai, Sweet Nut curry for my 2 yrs old, and Angel Wings. I never tried the Phucket Island before, loads of scallops and Shrimp. Sweet mild curry flavor with what looks like eggs mixed in. While it was good, I probably will stick to my normal Garlic Short Ribs. Other items were good as well, sweet nut curry is perfect for my kids. They love it. No spice at all.
They hit it out of the park with their calamari. I rarely order this dish because it’s so hard to perfect, but I was NOT disappointed by the portion size or flavor and texture!!! It’s hard to get calamari right! The Pad Thai was very good too. There was a nice balance of noodles to mix-in’s. While there were only 3-4 shrimp, there was plenty of chicken and flavor. My husband and I shared the Basil Calamari, Pad Thai, and Sticky Rice with Custard dishes. We were full before the plates were empty. Good portion sizes. The atmosphere is quiet and friendly. The staff are nice, tho not overly attentive.
It was HOPPIN! But we didn't have to wait for a table and the food came super quick. It was delicious and just the right amount of spice. Thai ice tea was pretty tasty as well. Wish I could eat here more often because it was super yummy!
Tonight we had our dinner here . Usually I would order the pad thai or pad see. For a change I ordered the eggplant chicken and their calamari. The way they cook their food it's always delicious. The service is fast , staffs are friendly and their pricing is very reasonable.
Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Chico. Anyone who says otherwise is mad trippin. I got the red curry, absolutely delicious. We got the Garuda wings as appetizers, amazing flavor, crispy, highly recommend. My other family members got the drunken noodles and Pad-See-Eiw, they were both delicious and flavorful. Exceptional service, got refills, got checked on, and the prices are very reasonable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
Food was great and service was attentive! We had the bbq chicken and bbq pork and split the pad Thai. Mango rice for dessert. All was tasty & flavorful.
Good food awesome service. What more can you ask for? The best Go To Spot when your in the area for some Thai food.
As someone who's Laos, the food is AMAZING. Everything was hot and tasted like home.
Delicious Thai food..!! Best Thai food in Chico. That place was satisfying. Totally recommend it.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Massaman curry, som dtam (papaya salad), and tom kha soup was close to authentic. Could have used a little more flavor, but good enough to go back. Average size portions and fair pricing.

My family LOVES this restaurant. The staff is so welcoming and their food is sooo delicious. My one year old LOVES their noodles and salmon.
Food was delicious and the server was great. I like that they have a lot of options for people with various food allergies/restrictions. Every dish I have tried there so far has been so good. And the atmosphere and decor is also nice.
Tasty food, basic dining area that was very clean in spite of being very busy when we arrived. Friendly, courteous server in spite of being seated at the end of lunch rush.
best thai food in chico hands down no question whenever my family is here we get a big order of this stuff
Even though the store was packed we were still able to get a table in quick succession

Reasonably priced delicious food with excellent service in a great atmosphere. Hands down the best Thai food in Chico.
Google map didn't do justice for this place. It pointed me at the other side of the plaza by starbucks. Idk what was up but there's was a difference between typing the address vs the name of the place. I was in the area and was open to all options. There's not a lot of places at Chico to go to. Staff were nice but there were only 3 the day I went and the restaurant was busy so it was difficult to get their attention when I needed something. The staff assigned to my seating area didn't really come back after I was fone with the food to ask if there was anything else I was concerned with. Anyway, I ordered chicken satay with a side of sticky rice. This was enjoyable which I would order again if I visit for next time. Then I added papaya salad (thai style, not laos). It came out pretty salty that I couldn't eat it so I barely touched it. When the bill came, they didn't charged me for the papaya salad but I gave them a tip because food like that still costed a bit of work time and ingredients.
Best Thai spot in town, hands down. Extremely authentic and close to food in Thailand, except American price tag 😂 Strongly recommend the phucket island curry 🤔

Cocodine Thai Cuisine has its devotees that lavishes high praises to the place. Was even listed on an obviously misguided list as a top pick for restaurants in Chico. With such impressive credentials, and with our naivety that tends to believe what we read, we ventured on a very special Sunday to this some what hiding locale with high hopes for a memorable, positive memorable, evening dinner. Sadly it was not to be at all. Food ordered: Spinach Wraps with Shrimp, $11. Plate arrived with Spinach leaves in a circular patter with small sections for us to prepare as our waitress helpfully described as Thai Tacos. The shrimp was dried tiny pieces in such small amount that we knew we had been misguided by the title. Fixings included peanuts, red onions, lime wedges, ginger, toasted coconut bits, jalapeño and peanuts, with a little container of their secret recipe ginger-herb sauce. Sounds enticing? Not at all, not a made wrap we were supposed to do our own mix of a decidedly overly expensive nonsense. Appetizer was rejected immediately. 1 Star. Titanic Soup, $10. Combination seafood: shrimp, scallops, salmon in a hot and sour broth. Blended harmoniously is what it said, but broth was lemony, not hot and sour, and nothing like the photo, still managed to be the better of the order, which was not all that impressive. 3 Stars. Phuket Island (the “h” is silent) at $19 each. Jumbo sea scallop and shrimp pan fried with red bell peppers, green beans and onions in mild yellow curry reduction. Sounds good? Not at all. The curry covered the food, and it was probably the sweetest curry I’ve ever had the misfortune to try. The Jumbo Scallop was small to medium, and mostly butchered into even smaller pieces. Very little of it. The shrimp the exact one offered on the Titanic soup small to medium, a real downer of a dish covered with sweet curry. They should have saved the sugar for their own which I am almost convinced they would not eat. Their Jasmine rice could have fooled me, but that’s what they called it. 1.5 Stars. Water served the best of what came to the table. So this is the big honcho? Top pick? Total with gratuity $60, not charged for the ridiculously Spinach wrap, which was anything but. The place busy at 95% capacity, staff prompt and nice. Yes, sorry to say I disagree with those that bestowed greatness to Cocodine. 2 Stars.
