I had never heard of Poke before. Went for my girlfriend's birthday with her mom & sister. It was delicious. Basically sushi in a bowl. I enjoyed it, and it's in my neighborhood.
Food is very good!! Great service. It's our first time here and our server was patient with us. I enjoy trying pad thai from different thai restaurants and I gotta say, their paid thai was really good.
I have had their poke bowls. Which are good but today I entered for Thai curry and my God, I liked their Thai curry too.. really good service 👍
Wow! I Fish Poke Bar Thai Kitchen is really really good! I had their Phad Thai, Rainbow Roll and Philly Roll (way too much food for one person) but it was fantastic! I never heard of the place until today but I will definitely be coming back. The establishment was very clean and the staff was very professional and pleasant. I really want to try a Poke bowl next time
Lucky Poke is my favorite poke place, but this place is really good too. I really like sushi burritos so I was excited to find another place that has them! The food tasted great, their hours are pretty good, and the staff was super friendly and courteous. I definitely recommend checking it out!
amazing poke bowls, red curry, and pad thai. just wish they had cilantro as an option in their poke bowls.
Went for a second visit tonight. It was very delicious! The avocado spring roll was fresh, well made, and came with a tasty sweet chile sauce. The veggie bowl and veggie deluxe were both well made, but the veggie bowl, like all their bowls, is customizable to match your palate. As before, the staff bent over backwards to be as helpful as they could.
I am very lucky to have such a dope sushi spot so close to home. Both the food and the people are great. I come here entirely too often. lol
I go here often enough that I feel obligated to leave it five stars. I've actually never had their poke (it's never been my thing) but all of their Thai dishes are great. The Tom Kha, the Yellow Noodles, fried rice, all awesome. Special shout out to Fried Chicken Over Rice, a huge slab of fried chicken katsu of a bed of simple egg fried rice. Probably the best hangover meal I could ever ask for.
Very friendly folks with great food.
This is my absolute favorite poke place of all time! The prices are good and I've always had a positive experience here. I haven't had many other of the menu items, but the poke is absolutely worth it.
I love their poké! Not only do they have ahi tuna but it's one of the few places I've been to that properly washes their rice and also uses sushi rice. One of the few poké places that's good as leftovers as the rice doesnt become a huge inedible mass after cooling.
My favorite place for affordable and fast sushi. My sister loves their poke bowls and my boyfriend is obsessed with the chicken pad thai. We eat here constantly and love it everytime.
I tried this place out the other day and I was very satisfied. I got a poke bowl with ahi tuna, salmon and spicy tuna. It was delicious! The staff was also very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!
Poke bowls are actually good! Extremely clean and nice atmosphere with lots options to choice besides bowls! I highly recommend there bowls and everything Looks fresh!
First time here today 08/24/2025...very good too! Had a octopus poke bowl, custom made is great! Love the flavor!!!
Poke bowls are great, costs a bit but quality is there so makes sense. Thai options range from fine to great & is slightly cheaper. For instance, Pad Thai is slightly too sweet for me so it’s okay, but their curries impressed me.
I tried a poke bowl with shrimp, salmon, and yellowtail. I also had the crispy salmon poke burrito, both meals were outstanding. so tasty and so good for you! I'm excited to eat there again. Highly recommend =)
This place is AMAZING!!!! Food is always fresh and the portions are definitely generous. Thai food, shushi, and poke bowls... I mean what more can you ask for?!
Their salmon poke crispy tacos taste good. Also love getting thai iced tea.😊

This Thai restaurant is a true treasure in the city! The service was flawless; every staff member we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food was nothing short of phenomenal – the Red Curry had a depth of flavor that kept me coming back for more, and the Pad See Ew was expertly cooked. The ambiance was tranquil yet chic, with soft traditional music playing in the background and a beautifully designed space. Can’t wait to return!
Most overlooked spot in Chico! Dont let the location scare you away, y'all this food is fiiiire. I order from here multiple times a week for more than a year now and have never been disappointed. The ahi poke tacos with a side of rice and Thai tea is quite possibly my favorite $20 meal in town. You will not be disappointed
Wow! I’m so glad I tried this place. Really flavorful food in good portion sizes. Lots of menu options. The staff was friendly and attentive, too. Highly recommend!
Absolutely the best poke in town! They have a great build-your-own menu! My kids love their bento box meals, and the gyoza that comes with them are delicious 😋 The sushi is good for a place that isn't strictly a sushi restaurant and hits the spot when you just want a quick roll to split along side your Bowls. We love this place and I go almost once a week!
Honestly one of the best Poke place I have ever been to. This food is cheap and they are not stingy either which is super important. With most poke when you aske for extra vegetable they change extra but not here. The Staff as well are extremally kind. They always welcome you in and they have a verity of foods not just poke. Also as a student at CSUChico it is a 10 minute walk for campus which is a plus. All in all everyone in town looking for some poke or sushi should 100% go check out this place.
Lots of customizing options for your poke bowl here. Great pricing! Everything always tastes fresh. Love the ability to order online, pre pay & just walk in and grab my order from the counter all ready to go. Place looks clean and employees always masked.
Really good poke with large portions at a reasonable price. The past two times I've gone, the service has been impeccable.
My boyfriend and I went here for our Valentines date night. The staff is incredibly friendly, seating was clean and spacious, and prices were very reasonable considering food quality and quantity. We got the bento box with chicken and tempura shrimp, as well as a crispy salmon sushi burrito. I highly HIGHLY recommend them both, it was so delicious and such a nice experience

We ordered sushii and a poke bowl at IFish. The service was very good, and all the staff were really helpful. They have a sushi happy hour in the afternoon through 6 pm, so we got a free California Roll in addition to the tuna and salmon rolls that we ordered. The poke was very good and the sushi was inexpensive. The next time we are in Chico we will go IFish again.👍
Quality is pretty good and convenience of the online order tab is very easy to use. They also provide the Grubhub option which was the way I knew about this restaurant at the first time. Like I said the quality is fine but it is a bit priceyyyyy that is the downside, but I am going to use this anyway because this is the only one affordable sushi burrito place in this area :p
Got a bowl, food was delicious however the Thai tea was incredibly watered down, bowl ran me a solid $20 after tax with triple protein (small scoops) and avocado. The female worker that served me was very hospitable and wonderful at her job. Music and environment could use some work however.
Have ordered food multiple times, and food is good. Not great, but good. Prices are reasonable too especially their nigiri so we order often from here.

I ordered a make-your-own poke a bowl and very much enjoyed it. I ordered salad only (no rice), tuna, salmon, and various toppings and sauces. There was plenty of fish, which was very fresh, and the sauces and toppings complemented it well. if you're looking for a healthy lunch option, you can't beat a salad poke bowl!
This is the first time I ordered my own poke bowl. I would have liked a little more help choosing what to get. The amount of sauce to rice was way off. It was good but not as good as my friend got me somewhere else. The California roll was delicious!

Food is really good, I highly recommend their pad Thai. But it seems as though their staff speaks little to no English, and are judgy when someone tells them that they can’t understand them.
I ordered the Pad Thai. Taste was okay. There wasn’t a ton of flavor in it like I’m used to, and the chicken that was used for it was cut thick and over cooked. I asked to receive a medium spice level on the pad Thai, and they gave regular chili flakes instead of Thai Chile’s, which made me think that this was not authentically made. I ordered the Lao sausage, and it was mediocre. It came a bit dry. When I asked for sticky rice, the employee had no idea as to what I was referring to, and five times, we had to go over what that rice was. When I received my order, she gave me sushi rice, which was very salty and had a strong vinegar taste. This place is not authentic Thai food. It was very upsetting to order three different things and receive items that did not taste or even have a hint of Thai influences.
Went here 2 days after they opened. and compared to the poke place that I usually go to, there were quite a few issues with this poke bar. Pros: -The scoops of fish were large. Cons: -Not all the toppings and sauces that they have are listed on the menu so if you don't know what something is called and its not labelled then you are out of luck. -The slices of cucumber that they had were huge/ way too thick. -The crab salad was overall dry. as if it had no mayo in it at all. I'll probably try this location again soon-ish. but for now this is not my top choice for poke in Chico.
The food was ok, we had the poke bowl and seafood pad Thai. Some nice topping choices for the poke bowl, but didn't seem super fresh. Definitely better poke bowls in town. The pad Thai was ok and was a lot of food for the price. The spring rolls we're really good. No bathroom in the restaurant so you need to walk to Safeway, loses a star for that.

I know people who swear by this place, but unfortunately I have been 3 or 4 times and never had a positive experience. The poke bar does have a lot of options, but it didnt taste fresh to me at all. The sushi is lower quality than premade sushi youd find at a Safeway or Raleys in my opinion. The time I ordered a thai soup there was a long hair in it which I found a couple bites deep. The people are very very nice, but the food is just not up to par with the cleaner, more conveniently located poke options in town. Also if you order pickup online there is a convenience fee.
We got Pad Thai and Red Curry and it was not very good.
On 6/8/2020 my wife and I bought food (for take-out) for the first time at I Fish Poke Bar. My Pad Thai was great. My wife’s Poke Bowl was soooo spicey she couldn’t eat it all. She actually rinsed it off with tap water! I Fish Poke Bar would do well to warn folks about spicey-burn dressings, or added burning spices.
If you're looking for tasty authentic Thai food, there are much better options in Chico. I can't speak to the poke or sushi on offer, but the Thai food was very underwhelming and the Japanese Tempura was also not authentic which doesn't bode well for their other Japanese dishes. We ordered Pad Thai (the national dish of Thailand), Panang Curry and Tempura Vegetables & Shrimp. Pad Thai didn't have the authentic flavor and ingredients we expected; it had hardly any bean sprouts and a few pieces of very overcooked asparagus for some reason (I've never had asparagus in Pad Thai and I've ordered it many, many times from different restaurants); and the rice noodles were overdone. The Panang Curry was a bigger disappointment. The curry base was extremely salty, like to the point of being offputting and inedible. The Panang curry sauce was also watery/soupy without much coconut milk flavor, instead of creamy and rich with flavors. The Tempura was also not up to par. The shrimp had what seemed like more correct tempura batter with crispy texture, the veges were battered with something else that seemed like lots of cornstarch and was not as crispy. We suspect the shrimp was some premade, frozen food and the veges were prepared fresh but not with good tempura. It was also served with Thai sweet chili sauce instead of the traditional umami and sweet Japanese Tensuyu sauce which is always good. We ordered takeout and service seemed friendly. Sadly, the food was all wrong. I don't think it's impossible to offer a variety of cuisines in one restaurant, but it would surely be easier to be consistent if the menu was more focused. Maybe the sushi or poke are good, but skip the Thai for sure.
This place was amazing at everything up until 2/28 when they re-opened the kitchen with a new Chef.Specifically the Curry. The issue is reducing the size of portions by more than 3/4 while charging the same price and then when asked we were lied to about it being the same size in a different container. The new amount inside of its new packaging literally fits inside of the old portion container with room to spare. The Curry itself is still tasty, no longer has bamboo shoots and instead has lots of other veggies but much, MUCH less curry itself. Probably wont be eating there anymore, very disappointed in place I loved.

The food was pretty good but my boyfriend overheard them saying THEY DON’T LIKE WHITE PEOPLE so we will definitely be finding a different place next time!
Do not recommend. Ordered pad thai, cheese wontons, and a thai iced tee. Pad Thai was really lackluster, couldn't finish it. Cheese wontons were straight gross, like the cream cheese had gone bad. Last but not least, the thai iced tea, which was apparently cheap black tea with milk. Not great all around.
This is not authentic thai food. I ordered a green curry which is supposed to be made with coconut milk. This was made with dairy instead. It doesn’t have much thai or curry spice and other options ask what type of meat you want. Curry and rice does not say it includes meat on their menu. If you’re reading this and it does they updated it. The only animal products ever used in thai curry is usually fish sauce. Dairy is an allergen and if your food includes me that needs to be in the description like all the other menu products.
Not high quality food at all. Not worth the price. Ordered sushi delivery and got no wasabi and no ginger and nothing no condiments and no tempura sauce fir shrimp. Horrible to have to eat it plain. It’s like ordering a hot fudge sundae and receiving no Fudge or whip cream.
Been here twice and hated the rolls! Dont know about the poke bowl but every time i had a roll from here, its just poorly made. Shrimp inside the roll was cold and not even crispy. The rolls fell apart every time i tried to grab with my chopsticks. The tai iced tea was good however. But i think they should hire a new sushi chef or lower their sushi price. Couldnt believe i paid 27$ for 2 poorly made rolls
