I started going here in the late 80's but it's not that dive bar anymore, it's now a cool hangout with two pool tables and friendly bar tenders, like Jade and Elliot. The bathrooms are clean and the men's room urinal has a one way window that lets you keep tabs on the table and make sure no one messes with the game while you are in there 😂
Went for Karaoke on a Wednesday night. There were 20 people. We got a lot of songs in which made it fun and the atmosphere was great for the people that were there.
Great place the vibe is on point. Best Happy Hour deals. They have special night with food available. Example on Thursday Sals Steak night.
Such a fun atmosphere and the happy hour is great! It’s interesting how different the atmosphere changes on the day but it’s always fun!
This is so much not the dive it used to be. It's now a great neighborhood bar with probably the best happy hour around. Usually a good vibe and great mix of people here. Jillyin, Angel, and the rest of the staff always take great care of us.
This is a great dive bar spot in La Mesa. They have great service, and fun events like karaoke (turs-thurs) and DJs and country night and all sorts of things like that. It's not a super busy, packed, crowded environment and though it can be busy, you can usually find a spot to sit. There's no food offered, but they have free popcorn and you can bring in any outside food you want. If you come in on a day the Padres are playing, if they WIN then Coors Light pints are only $2 for an hour after the game!! Definitely this is a great place to hang out, play some pool, have some drinks and watch the game. We love this place!
Atmosphere was great, not too busy but just enough people, pool table, arcade games, they even have a grill to make sure that you're food is Hot and fresh.
What a great job they did injecting life into this sleepy bar. The Fletcher Pkwy section of La Mesa finally had a great bar! Great bartenders and customers! Fun games, amazing staff, clean bathrooms, convenient location and stellar selection of cocktails....what else could you want?!? This is the ticket!
Newly renovated, old school hangout in La Mesa. They did a nice job on the place. Staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Was told there's live music on Sunday's and that's a huge plus. Stopped by for a drink after work and was definitely what I was looking for. Going back with my girl on a busy night and I'll update this review. Definitely worth checking it out.
Super Bowl Sunday was excellent. Normally they don’t serve food but that day they had pizza, wings and assorted sweets. Angel was working that day and she is super nice and a great bartender. I would highly recommend this bar and will be going back.
Jade the bartender is amazing, I waited for someone to acknowledge me she came in and jumped right on it ❤️
Went in 9/17/25 for my Birthday for a quick drink. 🍸 The Place looked Amazing. I haven't been here for 10 or more years... Bartender, She was very nice 👍 Told her it was my B-Day. She made me a coffee martini, it was well made and received a free drink for my next visit. Sorry, I don't remember the bartender's name or the exact kind of cocktail....lol
Hearth House was the perfect spot for our wedding after party. The local crowd had great energy, the DJ was killing it, and the bartenders were making really good cocktails all night. We had so much fun wrapping up our wedding day here. Totally recommend it for anyone looking to keep the celebration going.
Thursday steak & baked potato. All bartenders are amazing and friendly. Great DJ on Saturday night starting at 9p Best happy hour!! Half off all drinks

Spendy !! For 2 drinks. They have done a great job redoing the place!!

Great spot for karaoke and just hanging out. Excellent service. Friendly crowd.
The ambiance was great, but the true highlight was the bartenders Elliot, Jade and David. Great personalities and masters at their craft.
The band that was playing the night that I went, Lefty Martin and his right hand band, was on fire and made this experience even more incredible. Double thumbs up for choosing such an incredible band and hiring such excellent bartenders(Angel)!!!

My first visit was wonderful. I loved the decor (Xmas decorations were a plus), vibes and their happy hour deals! The bartender Jessica was very friendly and I loved her White Russian. There’s enough space for group gatherings. A bonus when they have either Dj or Karaoke nights. I’d go back when I’m in the area again.

Well this is the first time in the year I've been here and it's changed. .... On the good side it's looks good and clean. But I have to say all the flavor of the place is gone. If you want a vanilla neighborhood bar, perfect. As far as service, I walk up to the bar to order a drink. The bartender walks away into the arms of the evening bartender who's just coming in, they hug for a solid 2 minutes having a little conversation, then they walk to the side of the bar to have an even longer conversation. 15 minutes later one of them walks up and asks me if I want to drink. Oi
First time here. Had a great time with great music!

Love the remodel but sadly it took 30 minutes waiting at the bar to get drinks which put a wrench in our group's good time. There really needs to be proper staffing for a busy weekend like St. Patrick's weekend. Bartenders seemed to cater to friends a lot quicker than the average joe that was standing waiting for 30 minutes. Definitely not the best customer service.

It's not a sports bar. They play sports on the TV's, but you can't hear it or see it because of the obnoxiously loud DJ and the people on the dance floor block your view. There is no food, just a food truck that shows up at 10:30 or later after you've already gotten food somewhere else. And trying to get the bartenders attention is like fighting through a mob. If you sit down at the bar, they won't ask you if you want a drink....you have to wave and shout to get in a drink order. Nice people, but misleading name... it's not a sports bar....it's just a bar with a mediocre DJ that plays music so loud you can't hear your friends speaking to you unless they shout.

This Bar hasn’t even reopened yet & already a problem. They just added some lights to this building as part of its renovations & they have added 3 extremely bright spotlights on their roof facing our house. (Added a photo I took from my dinning area) It’s completely ridiculous. I hope the new owners Cline and Nichols see this post and get some dimmer lights & PLEASE be considerate this is a family neighborhood that ppl live and sleep near.
I came in Friday afternoon (11/14) around 3:30pm and sat at the bar. And waited for about 30-40 minutes with not even a hello. Bartender spent the first 15 minutes of me sitting down just chatting with another bartender. For the last 20-30 minutes of me sitting at a the bar she continued to ask all the patrons around me if they needed anything. While people continued to get refills and new drink orders I sat at there wondering if I would ever get any service until I just left.
