I cannot recommend Frankie’s enough. From drinks to dessert, this place is outstanding. The Arancini and Mezze board were to die for. We also adored the staff who made our evening special. Shout out to Miles who was so friendly and helpful! Truly can’t wait to come back!

Atmosphere feels more as a cocktail bar (duh Frankies “SIPS”) than as a restaurant, but boy oh boy the food is good!! Mediterranean specialty. The grilled Branzino fish over a mushroom risotto bed was outstanding, the arancini great appetizers and the chocolate mouse dessert superb.

We shared the Mezze Platter and that’s all we needed. It was delicious. Every dip was seasoned well and was unique. The falafels were incredible- crispy outside, delicious inside. Along with the dips, sooo good! Tip- we didn’t need the extra pita bread because it’s almost like bread, it is that thick. It too was perfect. Drinks were very good. One little thing, they used an older lime and presentation wasn’t great for the price. Overall, great experience! We will be back!

Stepped in because the place looked nice and saw they had great reviews; they had great drinks, the bartenders were friendly and the charcuterie with cheese (especially the pita) was amazing. Will definitely be back!

Had both pita dishes and they were so delicious. The spicy pickled veggies with the Falafel pita was awesome. The bartenders are very friendly, drinks and service were great, but that food, so good!! Definitely recommend!

Tucked away in a quiet narrow corner. Long narrow space with a long narrow outdoor alley area and a front patio. Bar space is nice and comfortable. Split the Mezzo plate of various Mediterranean spreads and some falafel with pita. All of them were very good. Hearty and filling.

We stopped in after a Reds game ! I'm so glad we did! The food- Excellent! The drinks were fresh and so tasty. Great music and vibe cannot wait to go back! The service was impeccable despite the bar being very busy! This is a new FAVORITE!

The food at FSS is seriously good - from fresh house made pita bread to small plates that are absolutely delicious- - the chicken stew - was a grilled chicken placed on a flavorful mixture of garbanzo beans with a savory sauce - the salmon was perfectly cooked and the the risotto ball with lamb (Arancini) was a deep fried ball on the it side which opened up to massive deliciousness!!!! We also had The Mezze Board - can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!!!

Frankie's has been a favorite place for my wife and mine for years. The dinners are delicious and Naya always seems to wait on us. She is awesome. I was excited to see that it was open for lunch. I went with a close friend who was raised in the Middle East. He was truly impressed with the quality of the food. Naya was awesome as usual. I would recommend Frankie's for lunch or dinner to anyone. It is a hidden gem on Piatt Park.

Frankie's is a hidden gem. I've eaten there several times and every time I think about which foodie friend I want to take there next. The mezze board was a perfect starter for 4 people. The deviled eggs were also great. I also had the lamb chops. The service is always amazing and I'm a big fan of their cocktails.

The food was amazing!! We saw a video about it on Instagram and went to check out their $25 lunch menu, and it totally blew us both away!! We had the curry chicken stuffed pita and the musakhan stuffed pita and they were both flavor bombs! The orange, ginger juice was an amazing pairing, just the perfect balance of citrusy sweetness with the kick of ginger and it was freshly pressed juice too, which is so hard to find these days. Loved everything about this place and the food and will totally be heading back to try their dinner menu soon!

Frankie’s is a gem snuggled right along Garfield Park. The atmosphere is intimate, cozy and full of warmth. My falafel-stuffed pita was absolutely delicious and the drinks were great, too! Taline was an excellent host—personable, helpful, and kind. I’ll be back for sure 😊

We came with friends before an event we were attending downtown. Frankie's was the perfect way to start our night. Everyone was hospitable & helpful when explaining the menu. We loved getting to know a little bit about them & their history. The food was AMAZING and I definitely plan on returning. I wish I would've taken more photos, but I was too caught up in the moment. My team and I came here for lunch & it was FANTASTIC! Amazing apps like falafel, arancini & halloumi were so delicious & really unique flavors! I got the curry chicken salad and it was so fresh and flavorful. Loved chatting with the wonderful staff at the restaurant and they were so hospitable!

Traveling to a Midwest city can be tough. I want to eat well but not feel too full or bloated. A lot of the best spots are meat and cheese forward. I’m lactose intolerant. It’s a challenge. So happy I found Frankie’s for a late night dinner. We had the mezze board, chicken thighs and lamb chops. Excellent all around. The dips were delicious. The pita was fluffy. The falafel was flavorful and not over fried. The meats were perfectly cooked and accompanied with really yummy sauces and sides. Fusion done incredibly well.

Loved this place. Food is wonderful. Interesting items on the menu that were perfectly prepared. Especially the pomme paillasson and gem salad with sumac. Delicious cocktails. As the evening progressed, a lot of young people trickled in to mingle at the bar which we love to see. When an establishment can appeal to a lot of different age groups that all appreciate good food and drink, it’s a keeper. Our server Myles was delightful.

Everything was amazing. The food. The service. We knew as soon as we walked in by how amazing it smelled that it would be fantastic. We had a large group and they had no issues accommodating us. Everyone who had a cocktail loved it. Their wine selection was great. They had a Lebanese rose that I WILL be trying to find elsewhere. Mezze board - get it! Lamb - fantastic. Falafel pita - yes please. Deviled eggs were amazing. Wagyu kebab - amazing. Prime strip - SO GOOD and perfectly cooked. All around everything was perfect.

We enjoyed the wine tastings, which were excellent and perfectly paired with the food. Our waitress, Taline, was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

We dined here last night with our family and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our server , Frank’s granddaughter was truly amazing. Such an absolute sweetheart who made the evening even more special. One of the most touching moments was seeing the picture of our late father playing the OUD and that image brought back so many beautiful childhood memories for our family. It made the night feel even more meaningful. Great food, great service, and a place filled with heart. We’ll definitely be back.

For lunch, I had Frankie's Combo, and it was delicious. The service was excellent: quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. One of my little secrets for testing a new restaurant is to order a lemonade. It's a simple drink that's insanely hard to get wrong. This place served one of the best lemonades I've had in a very long time! Freshly made, perfectly balanced, and incredibly refreshing. It's a pity that they don't serve desserts during lunch. Otherwise, an absolutely wonderful experience.

Honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had! Service was absolutely outstanding. Seating (we had reservations and ended up at the table in the window) was intimate and lovely. And the food was simply scrumptious! Can’t wait to come back <3

This is a set up for a great date or professional gathering after work. The service is great and the decorations are cozy. The food are delicious except for my fish, which is a bit salty. This makes perfect sense for a bar where salty food is complimented by drinks. But may not be the most ideal for a family dinner with young kid. I believe if we come back just only adults, we would thoroughly enjoy the joint. And I would love to come back to try stuffed pitas and other appetizers. Also, I think the food is a bit pricey for what you get.

This was a great find. It is more Middle Eastern than Mediterranean. You have to try the Arancini. Drink choices were alright. But if you are in the mood for a light meal and good time then you have to try this place. Also make sure you make reservations - not a large dining space.

We ate here for a late dinner and enjoyed it very much. From the start, this was a great experience when our server shared with us the story of Frankie, her grandfather, and how the restaurant came to be. The food was great! I had the pita and my wife had the salad. Both were outstanding. If I have one criticism, I wasn’t jazzed about their cocktail menu. Nothing stood out as being worth trying to me. My wife tried one, however, and the balance seemed off. It just didn’t seem like a well-crafted drink. Maybe it was a one-off mistake. Hard to say. Either way, it was the only downside to an otherwise near-perfect evening. Would love to have a return visit here!
