Maggiano's - Cincinnati

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant ever! I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. A few years ago, I even hosted my 16th birthday party in their private room, and it was such an incredible experience. The space was perfect for a big group, and they let me customize a menu with all the dishes I wanted it made the night so memorable for me and my guests.When it comes to food, everything here is amazing. My absolute favorites are the mushroom ravioli and the four cheese ravioli both are rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every single time. They used to have an artichoke dip that my family and I loved (we still talk about it!), and while I’m sad it’s no longer on the menu, there are still so many other appetizers worth trying. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything you order here. The atmosphere is just as great as the food the inside is absolutely gorgeous, warm, and welcoming, making every visit feel special. On top of that, the staff is always so kind, attentive, and professional. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a big celebration, this place is a gem!

Italian food at its finest!!! Dave was our server and he was amazing! The pasta was done to perfection and the portions are enough to take some home. We did 3 meals off the Big Deal menu and 2 regular meals. The rigatoni alla Vodka and another with the Italian sausage, spaghetti with Waygu meatball.,Chicken Francese and the Seafood Linguini. The Cesar salad had the perfect amount of dressing and the bread was freshly made. Be sure to make a reservation if eating at 5:00 or later. Highly recommend Maggiano's as one of your top Italian places to dine.!

Best Italian food I've had in a long time, with great portions. I got the chicken alfredo and it was chefs kiss. Bread was good too. Atmosphere was beautiful and great service. I would definitely return.

Absolutely perfect service and dinner with my wife, we came in to celebrate our 15 anniversary dinner with our kids. Our service was on point from order to serving our dinner. Our server she was very careful to ask our kids what they wanted, and even though they didn't have what was on the menu, she made a point to accommodate kids needs. Bravo to the staff here for recognizing and showing you care, and that's all that matters in life.

First time here and boy it did not disappoint. My family and I did family style and we got so much food! Everybody got plenty to take home. Stuffed shells. I would definitely be back

We have always loved Maggiano's, and will often look for one when traveling. This location exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent, and it was the best classic lasagna we've ever had from any Maggiano's, and well above average overall. The salad and bread were also very good. Unfortunately, there is no more Marco's Meal, nor take home classic pastas. Still a great meal, but no longer a great value.

We had a great experience at Maggiano’s for a reserved private party celebration. Everything was exactly as I envisioned it would be! Ambiance and devote of the room and tables were lovely! Service was outstanding, food was excellent!

Delicious lasagne and rigatoni. The service was quick and very helpful. The hostess offered to take my daughter's stroller and tuck it in the coat room while we ate and brought it to us when we had finished. The atmosphere was elegant. The only negative was the only restrooms are up a flight of stairs on the second floor.

Everything was so flavorful and great quality. Our waitress was very helpful and fun. Definitely matched our energy.

This will forever be my favorite place to celebrate my birthday! The food is always amazing and the servers are so sweet and knowledgeable of the food!

Always a great meal with ample space and we’ve honestly never had to wait. Staff is always super nice and very accommodating. I have tried many dishes and they’ve all been delicious! Very good pricing as well. I had the chicken piccata today and it was heavenly. Large portions as well. Highly recommend.

Amazing Thanksgiving meal! Even Santa was great! Especially loved the Maggiano's salad, riggatoni d, and the ravioli!

We dined here for a Galentine’s event. We ordered the spinach, artichoke, fettuccine Alfredo, with salmon, the butter cake, and the apple dessert. The spinach artichoke dish was great. I just wish that they were more pieces of bread. There was way more dip, but it was so tasty. The fettuccine Alfredo was great. Also, I’m just a bigger fan of angel hair pasta than fettuccine pasta. Also, I wish the same portion was a little bit bigger and a little more seasoned. The butter cake was absolutely amazing. It would’ve also been a great compliment with ice cream but nonetheless, it was absolutely divine. The apple dessert was good. I’m just not the biggest fan of the sugar crystals. Our second server was a lot friendlier than our first server because our second server was the closer. However, even though this doesn’t sound like the best review, lol, we had a great time.

We were greeted quickly by the hostess as a walk-in for dinner. Our server was friendly and had made wonderful suggestions. The fried calamari is crispy and seasoned. The tiramisu was the best I’ve enjoyed in years. Moist with strong coffee and rich mascarpone. Halfway through our meal Mariana stopped by our table and is the most genuine good hearted person I met in all of Atlanta. (She asked about our meal, of course I expected.) But she went beyond that and thanked my husband for his service. She engaged with us about our visit to Atlanta and was actually listening not just nodding and checking off a table. Really felt the pride Mariana and Charles take in the restaurants family feel from food to service.

Last minute dining so we arrived late. Not many other customers so one would think that we might be considered an inconvenience. Nope. The service was superb and when I chose an item that was not on the menu, shrimp piccata, they did not hesitate in making it and it was very good. Very nice dining experience.

Loved this place! Even though the restaurant was big, it had a cozy feel. The Sinatra music playing in the background was perfect. Our waitress was superb, arriving to the table with a basket of warm bread. My husband asked her if she would mind choosing his meal. That he knew he would love everything on the menu. She agreed she could do that for him and he LOVED her choice. Our appetizer of Stuffed Mushrooms were melt in your mouth delicious. Our meal was served piping hot and the helpings were very generous. We were offered a deal of buying a regular size entree to take home for only $5. She said we could put them in the freezer til we were ready. We took the deal!

I want to give a huge thanks to Maggianos staff from the host , chefs and waitress/waiters. They went over and beyond for my proposal I couldnt ask for nothing better. Last night was a night to remember. And the cake was amazing! Thank u everyone again. The food was amazing and the hospitality is very welcoming!

My daughter in law is highly allergic to onions. Our server was kind enough to have the chef come to our table to discuss her likes and dislikes. At the end of our meal, the chef returned to our table to check on my daughter in law to make sure she was pleased with her entree. Fantastic food, service and care for a perfect birthday celebration. Topped off with lemon cookies with delicious whipping cream, birthday greetings on white chocolate and candle. Top notch all around.

The service and food tonight was absolutely great. We had a party of 9 with a reservation and had no issues getting our table. Maybe less than a 2 min wait from when we checked in with the host stand. The food was excellent. I cannot recommend the Maggianos House Salad and the Rigatoni alla Vodka with sausage. The flavors they are able to get is truly amazing. I left extremely satisfied and will be back for sure.

It's been many years since I was last here. I think several years ago we were disappointed with our food (and not having the "take home a meal option anymore) . Today was good all around. We had lasagna and chicken caprese- both dishes were very good, plenty to eat, salads were fresh and the birthday cookies were a delicious surprise.

Carli was the best server I’ve ever had. I came in to celebrate my sister’s birthday and it was a blast. She gave good recommendations of the menu as I am the pickiest of eaters and I was NOT disappointed. I will be back specifically for this amazing woman as she was the highlight of the night! Thank you SO MUCH Carli!!

Dined in on New Year’s Eve and had a fabulous experience! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to water refills. The food was delicious and the meal for two deal was perfect for us. We will definitely be back soon!

The food here is absolutely phenomenal and I love the overall atmosphere. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. The only things I dislike are the location and parking. I would come here a lot more often if it wasn't in a super busy mall parking lot.

Our company took us for our luncheon and it was marvelous. The staff, the vareity of foods we had, the atmosphere was excellent. Im going back again an again and again. I was introduced to some Italian foods and I am surely loving it. Thank you everyone who works there.

Carli was such a delight!! She made our night super special with her positive attitude and demeanor! She knew everything about the menu and gave great recommendations! We loved it!

My Girlfriend and her family and my sister were there for my Girlfriends birthday dinner. Everything was great customer service, food was warm (my steak, but very good) her pasta was great also. Atmosphere was good (a tad to dark for my eyes) there were lights on the table, a great touch. Wait staff we had was top notch (name, i don't remember sorry). But I had a hidden agenda.

It’s been 6 yrs since I visited this location! The food was still top tier! I’m going to be honest, We ate the fried zucchini so fast that I didn’t get to snap a picture. The spaghetti with meatball for my kiddo and the lemon cookies she could not stop talking about them. The meatball was very flavorful and the cookies melt in your mouth. This is a great location right off of I-71 with plenty of parking and shopping.

Had lasagna gifted and delivered a week ago. I was thoroughly impressed with distinctive taste and generous portion of lasagna. Yesterday, I placed a carry out for pickup with expectations that portion would be comparable. I ordered the double portion for a few extra $$ to bless a friend. At least a third of container was filled with cheese and runny marinara sauce w/o pasta. The lasagne was delicious but I felt disappointed that so much of the serving consisted of just cheese and sauce. I must say the fried zucchini was out of this world… memorable and a generous serving! Not a serious problem nor deal breaker just an observation! Note: The photo was taken after the fact and is indicative of the amount of sauce included not the actual serving size in full!. Subsequent visit 3/2025 Maggiano’s had a reputation for excellent food however something appears to have changed! I ordered carryout lasagna that was runny and not firm. It had more sauce and cheese spread out to give the appearance of an adequate serving size. The pasta was limp and the ingredients had a grainy texture. The item that disappointed the most was zucchini fritters. They were limp and had no distinct taste. To my surprise, later that evening I noticed there were little to no zucchini inside… only thin almost invisible slivers! I ordered a Caesar salad that consisted mostly of large stalks of romaine lettuce throughout the salad! Maybe, there was less than a teaspoon of Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. Needless to say, I was disappointed that I had spent $60 for a double portion of Lasagna, a small salad and fritters and was left feeling unsatisfied! I am shocked that Maggiano’s standards have been lowered! I was my go-to restaurant for many years!

My boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary. The wait staff was incredible. I made a reservation and was seated almost immediately. The food portions are great for the price.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. But I feel like it’s slowly becoming lackluster in quality over the years. The food is still fantastic, everything I tried while getting early dinner was good except they changed their bread! It’s definitely not as good. It’s soft and sweet almost like a dinner roll and is served with butter instead of oil and balsamic. This in my opinion is a HUGE mistake. The original bread was far better (sourdough I believe). The service was… interesting. I work in a restaurant, I’m a manager and have worked in the food industry for a very very long time. Our servers name was Lexi. I was very kind to her, as I always am because I’ve been in their shoes. But even the smallest requests from me and my family was met with a sour face from her. My aunt requested to order dessert and told her what she’d like and the server turned around and walked away and brought back a dessert menu and handed it to her and walked away. It was more confusing than anything. Food was good as always, I got the baked ziti and shared the four cheese ravioli with my aunt. Fantastic.

The food was good, especially the Chicken Marsala. The service was lacking quite a bit. They were not overly busy, and we were underserved. My grandson ordered pizza with pepperoni, pizza came out without pepperoni, drinks were not refilled with the exception of water once throughout the whole dinner. We ordered the Family Style dinner, which came with multiple courses, plates and empty dishes were not removed from the table, so enjoying the courses was quite difficult. The desserts were not very good. I was not overly impressed with the experience.

This was my first time at the Cincinnati location and I'm a huge fan of this restaurant in Chicago. It was just a very unwelcoming lunch experience and the food was just okay. Had to ask the server Adrian several times just for minor things like pepper and cheese for the table. I'm just not used to that kind of service from Maggianos. They need to step it up clearly it was not busy in there and that might be a reason why.

I have been a fan of Maggianos for years. Lately, I feel that the quality of tge food has gone down. The pasta dishes were lacking flavor and the texture was somewhat dry. As usual, the room was pleasant and the service was fine. Overall, I think the price is not justified by the quality of the food.

Food was sub-par specially for the price. Waiter never even asked us if we wanted drinks we stopped him and asked for some. Maggianos as a whole is good but I would avoid this one

This place used to be great but it’s gone downhill. They changed the what used to be fabulous bread & oil at your meal to Kroger rolls. My fettuccine Alfredo tasted Unusually salty like they added salt ontop my pasta . Before that on a previous visit had to ask for my bread and my server was hard to track what happened to this place

I dined at the kenwood location last night (1/31/26 @ 7:30pm ) with my wife for our anniversary. This was my first time eating here, after hearing how good the food and service were from others. Let me first say, the hostess and the person who seated us were fantastic and very nice. The rest of the service was lacking and left everything to desire. We were seated, bread brought to us - we did not see our waiter until we had sat at the table for ~ 15 minutes, when we did see him it was because he was being us two drinks that were not ours? This was when I told him “those are not ours we have not had a drink order even taken yet.” at this time I was not aware he was our server. At this time he took our drink order and I made a comment about how busy it was and we understood the wait. After getting our drinks, we skipped the appetizer due to having already waited, we went ahead and ordered and then also asked for an additional plate of the bread from our waiter. Our food was delivered, bread never came. We finished our meal before our waiter ever returned to our table to check on us, though he was in our area frequently checking on other guest at the adjacent tables. We had to flag him down on multiple occasions for anything we needed - never got a drink refill until my wife verbally stopped him to request it. When our waiter did return to the table, he cleared our empty plates and took our dessert order - we then waved him down again later for boxes and the check. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the experience we had, especially for my first time and the reason for the evening. The food was excellent, the lack of service was appalling to say the least for a night out. I’m not sure why each table around us warranted being checked on, but I hope if I ever do return that I meet the level to also be waited on at a similar level of service. I may return at some point, we’ll see. Would really be interested in hearing from management if this is the standard for service to be expected.

Went in for my 4 year olds birthday with a small party of 7. She was excited to get her birthday cookies and never did. Menu and Recipes have changed, Alfredo has an overwhelmingly strong herb flavor. Feels like the small details of Maggiano’s has been striped away. Server was nice and accommodating other than forgetting about my 4 year olds birthday.

My best friend and I have been celebrating Christmas at Maggianos for 9 years and always look forward to coming in, and after this year we will NEVER be back. We first noticed the change in bread. Who goes to an Italian restaurant for sweet stale rolls with salt on them? We want the oil to dip it in and the old bread! This stuff was awful. We also noticed The menu has completely eliminated all the good things that was once on there. We decided to get the wagu stuffed shells with fettuccine. I make better fettuccine sauce at home, it was incredibly oily, loose and had literal CARROTS in it?! It was so disgusting and had no flavor other than butter/oil. The service was incredibly slow, and the only thing we enjoyed was our cocktail although we could have gotten that anywhere. If Maggianos doesn’t do some major changes I can foresee them Loosing a lot of business this was the worse Christmas meal we’ve ever had!

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Maggiano’s Little Italy at Kenwood Mall. I come here all the time. It’s usually the little bartender with glasses and the older gentleman. They’re always so kind and so were. But today was different. I walked in at 2:20 PM and was seated at the bar, where I usually sit. Around 2:50 PM, a table of three white women walked in. The bartender on shift, dark hair with visible tattoos, immediately greeted them, took their drink order, and began serving them while I sat there completely ignored. I repeatedly made eye contact with her, and it felt very intentional that she chose not to acknowledge me. She did not come over to greet me until after fully taking care of that table. As a bartender myself, I completely understand being busy, but service should still follow basic first-come, first-served standards. I was the only solo guest sitting there, and there was no reason I should have been skipped over or made to wait 30 minutes for a menu and water. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was witnessing a Black family who was never taken care of. They were left waiting without being acknowledged and eventually had to get up and go to the host themselves just to be seated in the main dining room area. That did not go unnoticed as I too, am black. To make matters worse, all of my food came out at the exact same time. I specifically asked for my salad first, and instead my salad and pasta were delivered together. There was no pacing, no attention to detail, and no effort to provide a proper dining experience. I didn’t even get to enjoy my meal. I called after I left because I didn’t want to cause a scene. The manager, Sean, was so pleasant and kind. Regardless of the great manager, my experience was just extremely disappointing. He offered me a gift card. I honestly don’t want anyone, especially of color, to experience what I just did. Overall, the service felt dismissive and unprofessional. I expected much better.
