Ok I will admit was kind of concerned about trying Eddie Merlot's due to the recent reviews but my step son wanted to bring us here. Will start will our server Adam. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Actually the individuals that assisted Adam were also professional and courteous. The atmosphere was actually more casual than I expected. We were able to actually able to have a conversation and hear each other with no worries. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Crab and corn bisque. So smooth and rich how it should be made. My wife tried it and was trying to trade her French onion soup to me. Being a steak place you expect the steaks to be done correctly. I will admit all 3 of our steaks ordered were done correctly. The Prime ribeye I ordered literally melted when I ate it. The wife's filet Del Mar was the same way. Will definitely say this is a true steakhouse and meets those requirements.

Incredible place. The service was friendly and attentive. Our server was Kirk and he was great. The food was, legitimately, the best I’ve ever had. It was a little loud but overall the vibe was perfect for a romantic date night. 10/10

Went out to celebrate my first night out in a while and had a WONDERFUL dinner with tremendous service. The cocktails were great, loved every course, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Jo was our server and very helpful in informing us on all the options. My husband and I had elk and Australian filet mignon. I definitely recommend this restaurant and especially loved Jo’s help in cultivating the experience!

Went here tonight for a double birthday celebration two weeks before we get married. We're still not sure what was more incredible, the food or the service. Both managers came by and talked to us for a while and were not only extremely friendly but fun to talk to. Our waiter was also, top of the line, he cooked the dessert right in front of the table and it was obvious he not only knew what he was doing but had a real passion for the work. The food was also top notch, the charbroiled oysters were amazing and the steaks easily justified the price. To the owners and staff: thank you so much for the great service, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

My server Mark was amazing!! The steak was cooked to perfection!!! Not to mention the cake and sweet potato pie and Brussel sprouts are to die for as well. Our favorite place hands down. The ambiance is great, the room temperature perfect, a great atmosphere all around!

We had a lovely night! Ordered too much food but enjoyed our steak and crab legs immensely! The French onion soup was so good as well. We ended up taking desert to go and did the peanut butter cup one and it is rich but worth it!

The atmosphere was quiet when I came in on a Friday. I did have a reservation since March 2025, but that was because I know that business is super busy, but I was seated almost immediately and I was greeted at the door with nothing but smiles too. My server Mr. Joe was amazing. Wished me happy birthday and constantly checked in on me and made conversation. Gave me a birthday dessert and a bread ball on the house. I truly felt special and I will most definitely come back. For quick and friendly service, I’d recommend this to anyone!!!!!

We had such a wonderful experience at Freddy’s Merlotte thanks to our server, Alexis K.! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. She had great menu recommendations, kept our drinks full without us even asking, and somehow balanced being quick and efficient with being warm and personable. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. Our meal was delicious, but Alexis was truly the highlight of our visit. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be asking for her!

Great experience, and amazing place for date night. We started with the hot appetizer platter, which had Barbecue Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Filet Mignon Potstickers.. the best part for this platter was the shrimp, yet we ordered it without the bacon. Then we had the Wagyu steak with the twin lobster tails. The steak was PERFECT! I highly recommend this place.

1st time visiting Eddie Merlot’s for our 9th anniversary. It was exceptional all down the line. Great quality food, variety of food in case you don’t want steak. We received the steak for 2 it was Wagyu and Lobster. It was absolutely amazing. The best cheesecake around by the way! The appetizer we ordered was the sweet and spicy shrimp. It was the best thing about our night. Not a bad thing from tonight. We will be back.

We celebrated our 19 year anniversary at Eddie Merlot’s last night. As usual, it was an amazing experience. The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. We have been coming here for years and the quality and service has always been outstanding. Our waitress Jo was fantastic! She had great suggestions and was able to answer all of our questions. She was very attentive and never let our glasses get empty. Eddie Merlots is always my top choice for a fancy restaurant. I always feel comfortable there unlike some other high end restaurants. I will definitely come back and will continue to recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family!

What a wonderful evening for an Anniversary. Let’s start with the service; Jennifer made my wife and feel like we were the only people there, while she served her other tables. Never were we left wanting or waiting. Thank you for your outstanding service! The food, oh my goodness; We both enjoyed an 8oz sirloin. I enjoyed the Asparagus and a house salad. My wife had the Mac n cheese. We are so happy we decided to make this his our Anniversary dinner every year and you will too!

Our waiter Captain Kirk was fantastic! My brother was in town for my birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience. Food was great as always and the tomahawk trio (forgot to get a pic) was perfect for our dinner! The crab cakes are a MUST!

Celebrating husband’s birthday. We enjoyed our experience here. Great ambiance and service. My husband had me mover had a rack of lamb and it was his “best meal ever” (see picture this was after his first bite). Thanks so much to Kirk and crew for their amazing service. THE BEST!!

My wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here and we had a wonderful time. The ambiance relaxed and all the staffwe encountered were friendly. Our waiter Michael was very attentive,kind and helpful. The food was top notch and the drinks were good. I had a ribeye and the wife had lamb chops. We were alittle disappointed in the lobster mac & cheese but still gave the food 4 stars overall. We got the carrot cake to go and it was hands down the best I ever had. For special occasions I would definitely recommend giving Eddie Merlot's a try.

Kirk was amazing and the dinner was the best I've had in years. He lead us to all the best choices and was amazing at delivering a 5 star experience. We were out for our 20th anniversary and we could not have pick a better place or server. We had the Australian Waygu Ribeye Special and it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant and definitely recommend Kirk! Can't wait to come back!

Eddie’s Merlot’s was nothing but phenomenal. Their BBQ shrimp was majestically delicious. The crispy bacon was gorgeous and drenched in amazing sauce. The steamed broccoli was excellent and the interior was both soft and crunchy. But best of all, the tender and perfectly cooked filet mignon was mouthwatering and the scrumptious New York strip played awesomely with it. The vibe was off the charts. I kinda don’t how to act in a place as beautiful as Eddie’s Merlot’s. I kinda got crazy off of by two yummy cherry soda ( can’t spell what they are actually called 😳🤪🥸. The service was like watching stand-up comedy. I felt at home with the jokes that were spread around the table. I’m looking forward to my next visit 👀 😀‼️ - Written my Dan Ring

We had an amazing meal on Christmas Eve! The steaks were perfect! Our server Hunter did a fantastic jobs the entire dinner. He did not miss a beat & was very well versed with taste advice throughout the entire menu giving each one of us in my party proper advice while ordering our meal. Definitely coming back soon

We had such a great experience at Eddie Merlot's! My mom and I came in not expecting much, but the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was amazing. Jonah was super attentive and friendly, and the manager even came over and gave us two complimentary sides when they were out of the Chicken Dégian — which we really appreciated. The sea bass over shredded carrots and artichokes was immaculate, and the lamb was juicy and cooked perfectly. Definitely coming back!

We had an amazing NYE dinner. The ahi tuna wontons were incredible. Unique bourbon cocktail was quite tasty. Steaks were tender and perfectly prepared. And, of course the crème brûlée was delicious. Jonah was perfect! Knowledgeable, patient with us as first-timers, attentive without hovering, and gave outstanding food and drink recommendations. Will definitely return and request Jonah.

We came here to celebrate a birthday on a Friday night (party of 6). They have a classic steakhouse menu with all the essentials, plenty of seafood starters and entrees, and tons of good-looking sides. Overall, I love the food and drink menus. The vibe is classy, comfortable, and fitting for a special occasion, but tastefully casual attire is fine; everybody dining there wasn't dressed to kill. At our table, everyone liked their cocktails. For me, the sea bass entree was a 7/10 dish -- great crust on the fish, and solid flavors on the plate, but the bass could have been a little more tender. Everybody at our table was pretty pleased with their entrees; no complaints were made. The carrot cake was huge and I'd rate it 7.5/10. Our server, Larry, was excellent, but the service up front, before we were seated was definitely sub-par. I have no regrets that we came here and I wouldn't deter anybody from giving em' a try.

Disappointing experience for the price point. The steak was fatty and under seasoned, the lobster was tough, and the macaroni looked like it sat in the back too long so by the time it came out it was noodles on top of white sauce. Our choices for water were two paid options, while tables around us drank iced water free of charge. The bread was very good and we enjoyed the garlic potatoes. The presentation of the food was good and our waiter was friendly, although as it got busier it was difficult to get his attention. Atmosphere was alright; a little dated but quiet enough to carry a conversation. It was our first time in and we were disappointed in the food for the price. We won’t be back.

Expectation sets the tone for any experience. In a country where the opportunity to enjoy so many things is available, it is difficult to grade the performance of a restaurant without seeming ungrateful. Still, the beauty of a free market economy allows entrepreneurs to bring their goods and services before the general public, who will then decide if the thing being offered is worthy of the price, or any price for that matter. Our server, Jo, was, for the most part, attentive and helpful, even though she was handling the workload of two people. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, but the lobster, accompanied by an average fillet mignon, was tough and stringy. The side dishes were okay, and the bread was light on flavor. The still-frozen carrot cake was great, although it was likely brought in. We have not been back since and don’t intend to visit again.

Awful experience. I don’t recommend. Our server is Jonah B. is awful, a bully and racist. He treated us differently than other guests he has been serving. We were there to have a good time and a great dining experience but because of him my night was ruined and I came home crying and had a panic attack. I had the Filet Del Mar so I started eating the shrimp (which was already salty) but was okay then the potatoes. He asked us if everything was okay and I was like yeah because I haven’t had the steak yet. I was eating slowly and was talking to family members. When I had my steak, it was so dry and was well done when I asked for medium. My aunt told one of the servers who was refilling our water so that server told Jonah B. Jonah came back to our table and talked down to me. He was like, “this is why I asked everyone in the first place if everything was good and you said it was.” He grabbed my plate and brought it back to the kitchen to get replaced. To be honest, i didnt care if he replaced it but for him to say that to me was appalling. I was so furious and cried. When he gave me back my steak, I can’t even look at him at the eye because of how mean he was. Everyone is going through things so for him to gaslight and bully me like that is unacceptable. He should never be allowed to work in the service industry. My whole night is ruined and I had to take medications to calm me down. Hopefully, management will do something about this because one awful employee can ruin the whole restaurant. I also submitted this review to Eddie Merlot’s site.

We visited Eddie Merlot’s a few nights ago and the experience was extremely disappointing. The service was so poor it ruined the entire night. Our cocktails sat so long the ice melted, I sent one drink back after only a sip and was still charged for it, and the appetizer was mediocre. The manager was the only positive—he was friendly, brought great conversation, and apologized for what we were dealing with. He also comped a dessert. His effort was appreciated, especially because our server was rude, very dry, and had no knowledge or education on the menu. However, even the manager’s professionalism couldn’t make up for how unacceptable the overall service was. After speaking with him, our server took my card and disappeared with it for nearly thirty minutes, and we were the only table in the entire restaurant. The entrées were okay, but combined with the terrible service, they were absolutely not worth it. I’m extremely upset that I spent $400 on this experience. Had the service been even decent, this review would have been different. But after this visit, I will absolutely not be back to this location.

My husband and I had dinner reservations on 1/2/26 for our anniversary. Our service started off slow and it stayed sloooooooow. We each ordered a cocktail and wanted to order an appetizer but there were out of our choices so we settled for a soup. Our drinks took 10-15 min to arrive and then our order was taken after we told the waitress we were ready to place an order. I ordered a chef favorite of filet del mar and my husband got a ribeye with a Caesar salad and a baked potato. They were out of a few other sides that we would have chosen over the baked potato. It was at least 30 min before we received bread service. The waitress mentioned there was a large party in the private room but that should not have delayed cocktails, bread, and soup, and if that was the reason, than they should have staggered patrons. We finally received our entree 1 hour and 15 mins later. Our food was very good, but the service was incredibly show and lackluster. We were asked if we were celebrating anything and we told her that it was our anniversary. We had to ask for a dessert menu and we didn't receive it. We finally just chose something that looked good when another waitress brought it to a table nearby. We ordered that, and our waitress said she would give us a complimentary chocolate cake. She packed up our leftover entrees and we didn't receive our dessert to go. I had to find another waitress to get our dessert to go. For the $211.00 that we spent, we expected attentive service.

Usually we get excellent service but not today! Only 1 server taking care of the whole restaurant. She is very inexperienced and needs a lot of training. We had to wait for a long time to even order! She didn't even gove us steak knives for our steaks. We were there almost 2 hours!

Came here for New Years, understandably, anywhere on New Years is going to be busy, our reservation was for 7:45, we don’t expect to be sat right away but we were not sat until 8:30. Once we were sat we’re looking forward to drinks and dinner , our waitress walked past our table many times , looking at us but not stopping to greet us or even offer us water , again we understand everyone is busy and we were not upset until the table of people that were next to us , and were sat after we were , were helped first, brought their drinks, and then we were helped. Service the entire time was bad , waited 15-20 min for drinks each time we ordered , steaks came out rare when ordered medium. None of this would be an issue if we weren’t paying $200-$300, to received trash service and food, we’ve made better steaks at home. Save your time and your money. I highly recommend any of Jeff Ruby’s steakhouses over this place.
