Went in a Wednesday recently and absolutely loved it. Wanted to have a nice dinner with the FIL. Our server knew it was our birthday and really made it a special occasion. The service time was I expected for better dining....not rushed! The drinks were great. The dinner was so good. The dessert (we shared) was amazing. Thank you for a cozy place that is still nice. It was better dining but comfortable atmosphere. It really was a great night. Thank you!

Cool retro spot. Service was excellent. The server spoke to us in a normal conversational tone, which made us feel welcome. Great food and apps. Recommend the "Mango Tango" cocktail, touch of spice and nummy.

Ambience and decor were great! The views were amazing. Our service was decent. The food was very good. We had the muscles, and artichoke dip. I had the scallops and shrimp entree. Overall a wonderful rooftop experience.

Went for drinks and to sit on their rooftop lounge. Beautiful view of the city and tasty drinks. Strawberry fields and the water lily were delicious. Old fashioned a d Manhattan a little too sweet for me.

We are in town for a Teddy Swims concert and Reds game. Decided to hit the Shire’s Rooftop for brunch Saturday. Beautiful views, trendy atmosphere, great service and excellent food! My wife had the Of Oranges and Herbs mocktail and avocado toast. She loved both! I had a Modelo and their name sake Benedict. That Benedict hit the spot and the breakfast potatoes were perfect. Highly recommend it! Noon on a Saturday is not busy at all.

The view was amazing and the food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the beetroot salad and the vanilla bourbon mashed sweet potato. The salmon was our favorite main course. Although it was raining, we still managed to take a few photos of the downtown Cincy lights. Our server was very attentive and provided great suggestions.

Skyline view is awesome, food was great, price was very reasonable for good food. The whole table was happy. Amazing place for a guys dinner to see a NFL game.

Shire’s Rooftop in Cincinnati is an interesting study in contrasts—one that hasn’t quite settled into a clear identity, but in doing so, creates a unique experience. On the surface, it’s styled as a high-end dining spot, with sleek decor and an ambitious menu. But then, the laid-back and extraordinarily attentive service staff ground it in a much more casual, almost neighborhood feel. This juxtaposition isn’t necessarily a bad thing; it just makes for an experience that feels like it’s still evolving. Where Shire’s truly shines is in the food, particularly its take on Appalachian tradition with a Mediterranean twist. The fried green tomato dish is the standout, an infusion of crispy Southern comfort with bold, bright flavors more commonly found along the Aegean coast. It’s a dish that bridges two distinct culinary traditions in a way that feels both unexpected and entirely natural. While the restaurant may still be refining its niche, what’s undeniable is the talent behind the menu and the warmth of the staff. Whether it ultimately leans into luxury dining or embraces a more relaxed approach, Shire’s Rooftop is a place worth experiencing, if only to enjoy one of the most creative takes on a regional staple you’ll find in Cincinnati.

Definitely a cool spot to check out downtown! The views and atmosphere were great, along with the dishes.

We missed brunch 😢 however we returned for drinks and was not disappointed. The staff was professional and friendly. The rooftop views were amazing.

Located on vine st. You enter building 309 and then take the "red carpet" elevator to the 10th floor. Amazing decor inside. The rooftop is wonderful. Small but thoughtful menu. The brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese sides were amazing. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Went here for an anniversary dinner. Shared the 3 meat entree called Chefs Feast for 2, and got the side of their mac-n-cheese. Food was fabulous. Staff friendly and helpdul. Atmosphere was really nice with the feel of a cozy dining room. There was even an outside rooftop area that looked fun, but was still wet from last nights storm. We walked out and it has a great view of the river. Parking best option is the Fountain Square pkg garage. A short 2 block away.

Can't beat enjoying the best view and great food, especially with friends and nice weather (they even have heated transparent igloos for winter). This was my third or fourth brunch here. We each got something different: Crab Cake Benedict, Avocado Toast, Sunrise Omelette, Down Home Diner and Short Rib Hash. All excellent. The dinner menu is also good and the bartender makes great cocktails. Our server was very nice.

I would consider this spot a hidden gem in Cincinnati. You wouldn't know it was there (no signage but a small sticker on the door of the apartments/condos). But honestly, it makes it that much cooler. The views were amazing, and we had the best seat in the house. This is more of an upscale restaurant with a semi casual dress code. Kind of the same vibe as Hotel Covington if you've ever been. We had the best service by Rob, and I would actually come back just to have him again 😆. He was that great! He made us feel so welcome, and we never felt rushed. Now for the food.... the fried green tomatoes...🤤 holy. moly. The burrata was also very good. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. I got the salmon which was killer, my husband got the halibut which was dynamite! My best friend and her hubby shared the short rib which they also said was very good. We split the Nutella filled fried doughnuts which was also a great choice. Overall we had THE BEST TIME. Hands down would come here again. Not just for the rooftop, the service, and the food but for the experience!

The staff who helped us was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food. She was very fast, and helpful. She explained all the Chef's special, which we ended up ordering. We spent 2 hours here. Apparently they have a new head chef - and according our friends, the food at this time was very delish - agreed!! It's located on 10th floor, and great to see the sunset (when the sky is clear).

My wife and I came here this morning for our 10th anniversary brunch, and had a great time. We ordered the chocolate hazelnut beignets for an appetizer, I ordered the eggs benedict, and my wife ordered the maple pear french toast. For a drink I got the tequila cocktail that used the ancho reyes chili liquor and had a cilantro infused simple syrup. Everything was incredible, not a single complaint. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion and the service was impeccable (they even brought us champagne and a sample of their margarita to celebrate our anniversary free of charge). I'd say this is the best food I've had since moving to Ohio, and we will certainly be back!

This restaurant is GREAT! Took my daughter there with our family for graduation over the weekend and our server Rob was fantastic. He went above and beyond to create a real experience for us and we loved it. The food was great as well, and the burger was hands down the best. We all got different dishes from the scallops to the salmon to the salads, but the burger was probably the best burger I've had, so much so that I wanted to return the next day. Don't miss this experience. The only downside is no valet parking and street parking was the pits...there were several large events over the weekend and all garages and lots were full. Hopefully parking will be easier the next time I visit.

Went here to share a celebratory dinner with my new husband and was more than delighted. Staff were so kind, food was delicious, and the view lived up to its name. Our waiter, Dominick, was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We shared a few glasses of poema cava and a couple of cocktails; over the moon and the throne of the empress. All were lovely! We also had a charcuterie board for our table. While we weren’t as into the olives or blue cheese, everything else was very tasty, especially the smoked cheddar and honeycomb. For mains, I had the pan roasted chicken which was simply perfection! It was incredibly tender and so juicy. My husband had the cavatelli pasta, which he says was very mushroomy, creamy, and tasty. He added chicken to his dish, which he agrees that was especially good with the chargrilled taste. Since we were celebrating, we also had desserts to finish, which the kitchen added little congratulatory chocolates to - what an excellent way to end a fabulous meal! The creme brûlée was very creamy, and the custard was blooming with a delightful vanilla. The Queen City Crown was everything I have ever wanted a chocolate dessert to be. We could not be more pleased! If you have the chance to go, don’t miss the opportunity.

I did not eat here, but I came in after a bengals game and had a drink before calling a Lyft back to the burbs. The hostess and bartender were very nice. I ordered a rhinegeist Antelope amber lager and then walked outside to the patio which I had all to myself (it was 50 degrees and they had just opened). Really great views of the city and the stadiums and bridges. Also the bathrooms were well designed and comfortable. They have a separate elevator to go up to the shires from the lobby. I cannot give any critique on the food, but I am coming back to try that later.

Came for brunch. The flatbread was very good, but also very small for the price. Probably not worth it. The crab cake benedict, however, was delicious and well worth the price. The crab meat was good quality and there was a good amount of it. I tried the Topshot drink which was like a summer mule, and I was pleasantly surprised.

What an unbelievably beautiful place and what an amazing night I had here. The bar restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments building. The views from the terrace is amazing and very romantic. They have a very unique tents on the terrace which is something spectacular and very convenient when weather is not the best outside. I had never seen something similar in any place I had visited before. The restaurant inside is well decorated and the food was really good, but the most impressive and captivating fact about this place is the pianist Mr Beau Brant, he is truly the most talented, nice and friendly person I have met in many years. If you want to confirm how talented he is check out his Spotify account Beau Brant, there you can enjoy his music and the passion he transmits when playing the piano. A truly jewel of the music. Also the manager Ellie and Marcus are amazing. I definitely want to come back to this place. I discovered a really nice place where I would come back always. I recommend this place, not only because the food but the live piano music and the positive atmosphere you can feel here.

I chose to celebrate my 25th birthday here with 8 of my closest friends and family. 4 of us showed up about 5-10min before the reservation time and were seated in our igloo that was already being warmed up by the fire. The entire igloo set up was very comfortable between the cushioned sofa and the little “windows” in the igloo you could open if it got too toasty. The scenery was also very nice on the rooftop. My party trickled in at different times because of outside circumstances but our waiter, Alex, was VERY patient and welcoming. He checked on us in a timely manner and ordered our drinks and food right on time. The brunch was very delicious and so were the drinks. Alex was even kind enough to sing me happy birthday after he found out what we were celebrating. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and were talking about returning in the future. I am glad I chose to celebrate at this place and I will highly recommend it going forward.

The food was exquisite, and I have never before tried a crab cake eggs Benedict. The view, situated along the river between the two stadiums, was worth the nearby public parking fee of $10, but the building only offer valet parking. The hotel lobby was beautiful! Although there were only three other tables and two servers, I had to request my check even after giving all signals of being done with my meal.

We just ate there January 6th and it was the most delicious food my boyfriend got the 14oz New York strip he absolutely loved it I got the pork chops so tender is was amazing we also had a sweet waitress her name was Jess would definitely ask for her again she gave great recommendations!!!

Limited menu but quality food which is my preference. Two solid dishes and fries had just a little spice kick, baked and stuffed chicken was delicious!. Good weather so sat outside for the few, lining shrubs a little tall but no big. If after 7pm would suggest a reservation

This place is GOOD! The chef is talented and the menu options are great. The views are excellent with views of the Ohio river and partial views of the downtown skyline. They even offer outdoor seating on the roof which is nice. The bar is well stocked with the usual overpriced cocktails plus some really inventive ones. We went on a Sunday at 1:30 when the brunch menu was still active. We shared a fantastic crab cake followed by beef rib ragu pasta and a salmon oscar. All the dishes were fantastic. It wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last.

Great experience. This restaurant went through some rough times but we had an excellent experience tonight. They have a new exec chef and I heard he was a saucier with Jean Robert so we were excited to try it again. There were 10 of us for my parents’ anniversary. My sister in law has celiac disease and my sister can’t do dairy or soy. Our server Brooke was absolutely great with the allergies and so was the kitchen staff. I had scallops and polenta and it was amazing. Most of their others ordered steak or salmon. It was all good. We also loved the spinach dip and I think a crowd favorite was the beef Wellington bites. It was all so good! Will be back for sure.

Booked a table for drinks and dinner to celebrate my aunt and her friend Lucy for cycling from Cleveland to Cincinnati! Super cool cocktail menu! Views were pretty of the city and the bridge! Was getting windy and stormy so we chose to sit inside. We started with the charcuterie board ( not pictured) and it was good but not sure it was worth the price. Moving onto dinner, everyone loved their entrees! I myself had the burger and the fries. I usually don’t crave burgers but it looked so yummy on the menu and I was not disappointed! Staff was nice but felt like they could’ve been a little more attentive to the table with water levels and timing out when they took our orders, other then that a lovely evening!

We have eaten here a couple times now and it’s always a great experience. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch crème brûlée is unbelievable. We’ve had the beef Wellington bites every time and they are delicious, hot, and the perfect amount of food as a starter. Bar service is a bit slow even on the evenings we’ve been there and it was not at all busy. Overall, we really enjoy date nights here.

The View is a neat place - kind of a hidden gem, given there's no street signage that I saw. We had dinner in a rooftop "igloo" (actually a greenhouse) on a fairly cold Feb. 26. The temps in our four-person unit were bearable - but not exactly warm - despite the small electric heater inside. When the server opens the door, cold air comes in - but that's to be expected, and part of the "fun", right? Service was a bit on the slow side, which I also expected after walking in (it was fairly busy). All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, and there was a good overall "vibe". Based on our meals, I would say the food is good, not great. My Wagyu Burger was ordered medium rare, but served well done (it was really nothing special). The short ribs got decent reviews from the two who ordered them. The desserts were good (we moved in to the bar for this due to being cold in the igloo). They ran out of Stella on tap. All in all, The View is a cool place to hang out and drink, but the food has a ways to go to be any kind of Cincinnati dining destination.

Amazing view of the city from the rooftop! Chicken was fabulous but I didn’t care for the roasted potatoes. They were burnt and didn’t have a lot of flavor. Pb&j brownie was also a little burnt but still very tasty! Comfy booths inside and very clean restrooms!

Service was excellent. Dessert was amazing - try the Queen City Crown! We split the Chef's Feast for 2 and it was just ok. Most of the food was overcooked (steak medium to med well instead of medium rare but great seasoning, salmon dry) but still enjoyable. Fingerling potatoes were great!

J
Jordan Ostrander

The overall experience was great. The food was awesome. However, there were some things that could have pushed this to a 5star experience for the price. The appetizer was the sirloin flat bread, flavor was outstanding, but there was hardly any sirloin for the $20 it cost, mostly just the greenery and too much Chipotle aioli. The actual meals, the 3 of all ordered a filet, 1 with Oscar and medium rare, the other 2 medium and came how it is prepared per the menu. The medium steaks were prepared beautifully, the medium rare was just a bit overdone, but the flavor, once again, was amazing, and they didnt skimp on the Oscar! Also, the meals didnt come with a simple side salad or a bread, which seemed like it should for the price, so it was broccolini or a different side. Their salads weren't in a "side " size. Seems for such a price they could have a house or Ceasar salad option to give with the meal. We got the potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sides which were delicious too. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back!

Overall it was pretty good, not great. The service was ok - It would neither prevent me from coming back nor be a driver for me to return. 2/3 drinks were good (Spritzer & Strawberry Fields). The Beef Wellington Bites were very good. The crab cake was ok - just didn't have that crispy outside that you typically get when you pan fry. The Shrimp & Scallops was perfect. The Chicken Roulade was ok, but I wouldn't order it again - I would try something different. The rooftop setting was perfect.

My husband rented one of their outside greenhouse for my birthday. The server was amazing, took good care of us and yes the food was delicious. The only 2 things that put a bad taste in pur mouths about the place was they gave us a cinnamon toast crunch cream brulee, and made it seem like it was a treat from them for my birthday. Literally just brought it out and lit a candle and said enjoy! Then come time for the bill, they charged us for it!!!! Don't make it seem like its complimentary then charge you. Also, they automatically put 20% tip on our bill, no way to change it. We typically tip 20%, but never add the tax into that, so we were tipping that 20% on the tax, which they dont tell you. On the menu it says on parties 8 or more, but it was just two of us. Its the principal and it seemed scammy.

Great views, okay food, terrible cocktails. Bartender doesn’t have a clue how to make a simple old fashion. The garden is shaded which is nice.

If I'm paying 20 some dollars for a burger I expect it to be cooked right... my burger was extremely rare for being asked to be medium-well. Didn't have much taste and could've done with another topping on the burger to give it something. On the other hand, the fries were good but bordered on over-seasoned. The cider cocktail was very good. Service was lovely and quick. The sink didn't work in the bathroom so I had to go running around looking for one that did.

Food is great. Sat outside on the rooftop. The landscaping was terrible and seats very close together . And there was no one there yet the only other people were sat on top of us. Food great service good, drinks great. Weed the planters and spruce them up.

R
Rachel White

We sat on the terrace and the view was amazing. GE building blocks a lot, but there was still a view of the Roebling bridge, the river, and Covington. The waitress was super sweet! The food was just so so, the mashed potatoes were super bland and the burger was nothing special. I expected a little more from a higher end restaurant. The drinks were excellent though. Highly recommend the espresso martini.

My husband and I went to Shire’s for Cincinnati’s Restaurant Week. We went on a weeknight, when it wasn’t crazy busy. The hostess was very attentive and nice. We wanted to wait for an outside table, so grabbed a drink at the bar. The bartender took a bit to get to us, but the drinks were good. We had to flag him down to pay for our drinks once our table was ready. Unfortunately we weren’t aware that half the outdoor seating doesn’t have a view of anything but buildings, so we waited for a worse seat than what was offered inside. Our fault for not peaking outside first! The appetizers were absolutely delicious - I got the fried green tomatoes, hubby got the crab cake, and then we both had the pear salad. The salad could have used more vinaigrette and less oil for flavor, but overall still delightful. Our entrees were lackluster though and certainly wouldn’t have been worth full price outside of restaurant week. Husband got the sirloin - it was tough, choice at best. I got the salmon which itself was great, but the mashed potatoes were thin and the asparagus tasted like charcoal. And our serve kept disappearing; she seemed very flustered and probably just overwhelmed from restaurant week. All in all, may be back for some appetizers and drinks before a game, but wouldn’t waste my money on the expensive entrees.

C
Christina Gates

Visited during restaurant week on an evening that wasn't too busy. Appreciate that they seem to only take reservations that the on-hand staff has the ability to effectively serve, and we were not rushed. Bartender was very inattentive, rude, and was quick to dismiss us after ordering one drink; they disappeared to the other side of the bar and never came back...we had to go find them to cash out so we could be seated. The food was okay, but nothing remarkable, the atmosphere (outdoors) was great! Unique decor in a historic building! Would visit again for rooftop drinks on a girls' night or to try out brunch. Just don't expect a high-quality meal to match the price tag.

E
Eric Milner

The food was pretty mid for the price but the view was decent, I've been to better rooftop restaurants with a better view and food at about the same price range.

V
Victoria Battaglia

The food so good and the views and atmosphere were amazing! Unfortunately the service was not very good. The reviews were pretty on par good food, mid service. We got our bar drinks after we had finished our meal. Our server was very friendly but seemed like she had a lot of tables. The crab cakes, steak and eggs, and bloody Mary’s were so good the only souring part of the experience was the service. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush.

Z
Z Bowman

The three stars are for atmosphere and service. That's about my only praise. We only had appetizers, so I cant speak for the entrees, but I was definitely not impressed. The beef Wellington bites were filled with some kind of pureed meat, covered in a soggy wet puff pastry, and salty as all get out. Sir Wellington himself would be rolling in his grave. The smoked filet flatbread was heinously covered in aoli, and there was almost no meat to be found. Don't be fooled. This is nothing more than overpriced, glorified bar food.

J
Jazz Stealth

The food was a mixed bag. The spinach artichoke dip stole the show, rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. Unfortunately, the steak was tough, and the vegetarian options were sorely lacking. Even the Caesar salad, supposedly a house specialty, fell flat in flavor. That said, the drinks were spot on, and so was the ambiance. Next time, we’ll stick to cocktails and appetizers, they’re clearly where this place shines.

h
holly m

Came here based off of some good reviews and for the view. The service was beyond slow. It took 3 hours to have dinner, our waitress was concerned with larger parties and completely neglected our two top. The food was good, but not worth the price. It was a horrible value. The spinach dip was strange, like tex-mex with cumin in it. The beef was overcooked, but the Mac n cheese was alright. I could have gone to a dozen other upscale places such as Jeff Ruby's, spent the same amount of money and been much happier. The place is neat, but the old creaky chairs are awkward, the massive graveyard of dirty glasses was tacky, the music playing didn't fit at all and each table had an unlit tea candle for some reason. The acoustics are terrible and it's challenging to have a conversation. There is no dress code so the atmosphere was strange - some people were in nice dresses and ties and slacks while others were in cut off shorts. Based off this visit I will not return. If you're going for a drink and want to see the view that's fine, but beyond that don't waste your time or money.

Unfortunately, our experience last Friday was not the greatest. Upon arrival, the customer service was lovely. We had a reservation and requested to sit outside, but our table wasn’t quite ready. We were told we could sit at the bar and grab a drink. The bartender was very friendly, and after asking about their tequila selection, my boyfriend ordered two cocktails with a specific tequila. When the drinks arrived, our table was ready. We signed the receipt quickly on the way out, but I later noticed the receipt listed a different tequila than the one we ordered. I assumed it was just a ringing error. However, after tasting the cocktail, it was clear that it wasn’t the tequila we requested—it tasted awful. To their credit, the staff was pleasant and had the drinks remade, but the replacements were mixed in a dirty shaker, leaving a strong jalapeño flavor from a previous drink. Very disappointing. At that point, we decided to switch to wine, since it’s poured straight from the bottle without issue. For dinner, we ordered the Chef’s Feast for Two ($120), which included salmon, shrimp, chicken, filet medallions, a NY strip, two salads, and two sides. We ordered the meat medium, but as you can see from the photos, it was nowhere near medium. When I asked, the waiter insisted that it was their version of medium, which was frustrating because it clearly wasn’t. The sides were also underwhelming—the mac and cheese looked nice but had no flavor, the fingerling potatoes weren’t enjoyable, and even the Caesar salad was disappointing. Overall, this was a letdown. My suggestion: if you come here for the Friday night fireworks and the rooftop view, just order a glass of wine or a neat drink. The atmosphere is great, but I can’t recommend the food or cocktails. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Shires Rooftop Bar.

M
Marilin Wong

Not sure if it was just a busy night but service was not good and slow (although one person who’s not our server was very helpful and attentive), food was not great, NY strip was way over cooked. Even charged the wrong card at the end when it was a split bill. The drinks were really good (and nice outdoor seating). Definitely liked the empanadas though.

W
Wallis Doyle

Positives: The view is truly beautiful and outdoor space and area is a chic atmosphere. Beautiful bar and indoor area too. The food was fantastic. The staff was kind too, they just seemed under trained for the kind of service I feel they aim to offer. Back story: I booked this reservation for my boyfriends 40th birthday 2 weeks early. When I booked I added a note that said it was for his 40th birthday, so we would love a table with a great view and I again check marked we were celebrating a special occasion and wrote it in, again. What I felt like was over kill, but figured it wouldn’t hurt. Well turns out it neither helped. We arrived at 8:15 for our 8:30 pm reservation. For the record I booked that late, so we could be there for sunset thinking there would be a view of it, not because they didn’t have reservations available earlier. We arrive, we’re told we’re too early for our table which I reiterate is fine because I just want a good view for his birthday. I also thought that inferred they had a table in mind for us. But then they say “oh it’s your birthday? Happy Birthday!” In my head I am thinking I literally wrote it in the reservation multiple times. So we go to the bar while we wait and ordered a bottle of wine for our dinner and he got a glass of bourbon. We are then greeted at the bar again by the hostess and she says do you want inside or outside? Which I am thinking you said our table wasn’t ready which inferred there was a specific table for us but now you’re asking if we want inside or outside…And I say again for the millionth time “whichever has the best view.” We then walked outside (me carrying the open bottle of wine and my boyfriend two glasses). But, we’re having fun still so whatever. To my disappointment our table is about half way back the length of the building, so a beautiful view of the inside of the restaurant, a fire pit seating area with no one around it that has probably the best view of the whole space, and about 5-6 other tables that are all closer to said view. But whatever it’ll be fine, it’s just a view, and by the time we’re being sat my visions of sunset grandeur are waning, so it’ll be dark soon anyways. Plus again we’re still having fun and he just seems happy to be there. It’s fine, I am fine, it’ll be fine. So we sit and we look at the menus and order crab cake appetizer and our entrees. Well we’re chatting and time is passing and we’re not being checked on nor waited on, his empty bourbon class is still sitting there, we’re pouring our own wine, etc. which sounds so petty I know, but if you’re charging Jeff Ruby’s prices I expect a Jeff Ruby’s experience, not an Applebees experience. Anyways, our entrees show up, no appetizer. Which we bring up. We aren’t offered any options though it’s just kind of “oh I am so sorry” and then a staring contest, so then my boyfriend being far less awkward than I am just says it’s fine we have enough food, can you just take it off the bill then? Waitress is friendly about it and agrees. Again, food was delicious and after our food the waitress was sweet and took photos of us next to the view of the city in the empty fire pit area. Then we come back to the table and she brought us dessert “on the house,” but not because it was my boyfriends 40th birthday, but it was instead because they forgot to bring the appetizer. Overall I guess I am just writing to let people know the food is truly delicious (idk about delicious enough to warrant a $200 meal, including the bottle of $60 wine and 1 bourbon), but if you’re looking for a fine dining experience or a place to feel celebrated or celebrate someone then this isn’t the place for you. TL;DR: The View at Shires Garden charges and sets the expectations of a fine dining experience, but delivers a just fine, closer to meh, experience with a view from half the tables.

J
Jazma Sutton

I came in right as the place opened and ordered the fried green tomatoes and spinach artichoke dip. It took about 20 minutes to get my food, which was fine, but the dip came out cold in the center. After sending it back, it came out again with plastic baked into the dish. The server just offered to remove it from the bill, and that was the end of it. The food overall was just or a little below average, and that experience sealed it for me. I’m good on this place unless it’s for a drink.
