McCollum’s on York

We came in for restaurant week and each ordered a different main course- and shared. Everything was delicious! It’s refreshing to see a group of people who give an establishment that was shut down new life. It’s obvious how hard the owners and staff work to make each guest feel welcome. A welcome addition to Newport!

Best pork chops i ever had. I was able to meet the cook and he was awesome. Everybody must try this place. Mccollums on York has an amazing atmosphere, great food and excellent service. Don't take my word. Go try for yourself. 6 stars if they would let me.

We loved the atmosphere and service. I had the Asian ribs which were a bit dry. The peanut butter pie was outstanding!

Four of us had dinner at McCollum’s tonight, each ordering something different. Each meal was delicious! We also shared the crab and lobster appetizer and key lime pie for dessert. The atmosphere and service were fantastic! We look forward to next time. 😋

We had the pleasure of dining here Friday night and enjoyed it immensely! The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I got the ribeye steak with bearnaise and everything was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back soon.

This place is a hidden gem! I highly recommend. The atmosphere was very chill with excellent taste in decor. The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the owner came to our table to check on us. We will be back many times!

Finally got a chance to visit! Honestly I dont know how there isnt a wait for months for a table here. This was honestly one of the best meals and steak I have had in a long time here in the KY/Cincy area. Everything was cooked to perfection, atmosphere was relaxing, and service was so nice, even met the owner. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try! Dont skip over this gem, its truly worth it!

After Stained Glass Theatre, visited this warm, inviting restaurant. Loved the decor, music and most of all the acoustics were great. There was no need to repeat yourself over the noise! The shrimp alfredo linguine was so good, perfectly cooked.

WHAT A TREAT... Amazing dining experience tonight. My wife and I enjoyed every part of the experience... the food, the ambiance, the owners (spent time with Jennifer M). Our waitress was also great. The food is homemade and something to be experienced!

I decided to take my husband and myself out for dinner a few days ago and what a wonderful treat it was! The food was just amazing, I absolutely loved my crab cakes and my husband had enjoyed his meal as well. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, I do not recall her name but she was a lovely woman! The only hiccup was the owner. He was having a conversation as me and my husband were on our way out. My husband was using their restroom and I wondered off a bit and overheard him having a conversation with someone. He seemed very… off? His words were slurred, he was practically yelling, he was swaying like he might tip over… He seemed under the influence… I am very upset that he was acting this way. I adored the restaurant but I will not be returning!! P.S. My friend had dined there before and she loved everything but the new owner!! He had stopped by their table and was very unprofessional and she was so uncomfortable, she also described him to be drunk. So upsetting…

We went here for lunch and it was amazing. Soup, Salad and Sandwiches all at a super reasonable price. $12 for a sandwich and chips in a great atmosphere. Staff was super personable and the chef even came out to wish us a happy anniversary. We got the spicy turkey club and the Italian. Both great. The club was the right kind of spice. We then got the bread pudding and peanut butter pie. Everything this was great. For lunch this is crazy cheap for a sit down place. Can’t wait to go back for dinner.

I had an incredible experience at McCollum’s on York in Newport tonight! The updated decor is beautiful, perfectly complementing the building's charm while paying homage to the former York Street Cafe. It's a fresh, modern space with a nostalgic touch. Our server was exceptional, and the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the New York Strip. It was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and of the highest quality. A truly memorable meal – the kind you can’t stop thinking about long after it's gone. There are so many other tempting dishes on the menu that I can't wait to return and try. The owners, Richard and Jennifer McCollum, were warm and welcoming, and it’s clear they’ve created a dining experience that’s well worth the visit. I highly recommend checking it out!

McCollum’s is a hidden gem in Covington! The staff is wonderful and the food is so delicious! They have a beautiful patio and a really cool dining space inside.

We ate here with a large group on a Saturday evening. Our server, Adi, was so great. She was kind, personable, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was phenomenal. Between the 12 of us, we got a range of items on the menu for each course and everything came out perfectly. The house manager, Jenifer, came to check in after our meal, and was so welcoming and kind. We will absolutely be back.

What a wonderful restaurant! We had a prix fixe menu due to Valentine's Day but I'm sure this place will not disappoint anytime. The atmosphere is charming and a bit quiet for a lovely, relaxed setting. The service was wonderful. And the food! Yummy! Upscale and delicious!

My husband and I went here for our first time and as soon as we walked in the door instantly welcomed by friendly staff. The charming ambiance of oil lamps on tables and decor throughout the restraunt really made us feel so comfy and relaxed. Our waitress was wonderful and friendly. The owner came to table to thank us for coming. The food was absolutely top notch!! We will definitely visit here again!

We found this gem of a restaurant on our evening walk while we were visiting the Cincinnati area. The ambiance is inviting and the old pharmacy furniture creates an elegant and nostalgic atmosphere. The food was unique and delicious. And the service was warm and friendly. We will be back when we can!

I have visited twice now, once with a friend and once with my family in a group of 12. Both visits were fantastic. I had a half salad with grilled salmon on my first visit and a filet mignon on the second. The salmon and filet were perfectly cooked with lots of flavor and the salad had fresh ingredients and nice light dressing. An excellent wine list and some fun cocktails to try, as well as some great appetizers. Highly recommend!

Food was marginal, at best.

We walked into an empty restaurant 1 hr and 15 min before they close and they were "capping" walk-ins. BS if you ask me. Won't be back.

Most I've ever paid combined with close to the worst food I've ever been served. Couldn't finish my plate. That's a bad combo. Wish I had gone out literally anywhere else for my anniversary. I think our server knew the food is bad because they didn't ask how it was.
