Had a great time here! Super inclusive and safe. Tasty drinks and a large dance floor where everyone actually dances. Also a large outdoor patio. I look forward to coming back! Only downside was the DJ who kept switching the song every 30 seconds and randomly scratching the record. Otherwise great!
One of thr best places in the city! Cocktails are good. Ambiance is great. Very inclusive and friendly staff! Major s/o to Sydne. Very knowledgeable and friendly! Made being here 100x more enjoyable.
Really fun place for drinks and dancing. Has a dance floor area, a bar area, a seating area, and an outdoor area that allow you to take a break from dancing or go somewhere we with the music quieter without leaving. The staff is really nice and friendly, the drinks are good (love the margarita), and the DJs make dancing all night a blast.
Attended an event here last weekend recommended by a friend. Despite it being hotter than hades, the vibes were 100% there. It draws a large crowd but there’s PLENTY of room inside and outside depending on your preference. Felt like the workers there were fantastic, and the drinks were just as lovely too! They have a nice fruity drink called Ceral Killer that I can’t recommend enough. A word of warning with the crowd it brings you may wanna get some earplugs with how loud some guests can get but that’s really any bar. Drove all the way from Pittsburgh to this event and will do it again for the next event. Great stuff!
Personally I LOVE Alice! I always feel safe there. And the vibes are great! The dj usually plays well known music and the drinks are fantastic. It is a crowded bar so the service is not going to be quickest. But they're a great bar to go and dance at!
If they named this Alice because of The L Word, then I give it 5 stars for the brand of a gay bar. I feel like this bar has so much potential, but I went on Goth night and it was not the vibe for me! Loved how they had 2 DJ areas for diversity in music. This place was super busy! I enjoyed the pear cider ◡̈
Pretty chill bar I was able to stop into. It’s got an out door area and large bar to have a non crowded space. I loved all the colors and artsy feel of the spot. Plenty of bathrooms too, the only thing I found personally odd was the party lights in them. Like imagine tryna do a number 2 and it feels like your at a nightclub in France; but either way it was cool.
Newer and still great bar in OTR. It's huge, with four different areas: an outdoor patio as you walk in from Main St, (just south of Liberty St), a main bar room straight ahead, a lounge room to the left, and a dance room to the right. I've been when there's DJ music and had a blast. But also enjoyed the very chill vibe without it. Either way, drinks and staff including security were all good. There's cool decor all throughout, including wall art, greenery, neon lights, a wall of music speakers, comfy couches and hanging swing chairs. Even ordinary things like ceiling pipes (which also list the drink menu) and the restrooms have flair.
The decor is the best part. Fun vibes. They usually have a good DJ for dancing on the weekend. I went when they first opened. Drinks were uninspiring to disappointing; honestly some of the worst I've had given what you'd expect from a venue such as this. I went again recently to dance with friends, which was fun but crowded. Didn't order any drinks at that time. If you want incredible cocktails with a similar aesthetic, I'd say go to Somerset instead.
This place has a LOT of potential to become a really hyped up place in cincinnati. a few things i thought were on POINT: the male staff that would hype up the crowd on the dance floor MADE MY NIGHT. he was literally the best. he made sure everyone was having a good time. he kept the place clean and collected empty cups. he danced with people! he was ALWAYS smiling, so friendly. protect him at all costs and maybe give him a raise. he loves his job so much. maybe give him some of those flashy light sticks you see bottle service girls with. (but also i want X10 of that guy. WAY more fun than bottle service girls) the drink menu was FUN. i got the drink that had beets in it. super unique! drink prices seemed fair. my personal opinion on a few things: the front of the bar is great, great atmosphere. the rugs were a little weird tho bc they just got bunched up everywhere. bar is cute. couches are cute. LOVE the lights on the ceiling. LOVE the clock on the back wall. the dance floor area kinda looks unfinished. i know this place recently opened but like maybe a cool epoxy floor design (with some non slip grit!) would be cool. also some lights in the ceiling would be cool (idk i was thinking like some funky color changing orbs or something, nothing bright, just something up there would be cool) the DJ Nest was a great idea. i love how they’re up above everyone, but play on it! want to see them have some fun and run the party. fog cannons, bubble blowers, streamers, light it up there a little more. make the DJ Nest a space accent, but not overly distracting. Also, themed DJ nights was be awesome. 90s night, emo night, halloween party, let’s do this. a few things i hope to see improve: while we were there, at least 10 glasses were dropped on the dance floor. this got really annoying really fast, and dangerous! a lot of people were wearing open toes shoes. as much as i HATE plastic, i’d rather not step on glass / have breaking glass keep hitting my feet. i wish there was more variety in the scenes that replay on the walls in the dance area, though the ones that did play were really cool. the bathroom situation was also at little confusing but i’m glad someone was there to help manage the chaos. the music was 7/10 there were some good beats and the DJ in the beginning of the night was really throwing down things to dance to, though as the night went on, it just ended up being the same popular songs you hear with the typical throw backs. i hope they can get some DJs in here to MIX, DROP, and SPIN for something unique. this place seems really unique and the music should match. OVERALL i do think think was a pretty fun place to go. i hope to see it grow and develop. cincinnati really needs better venues and better club vibes and this could be it. it’s at least headed in the right direction.
Im from indy, the clubs close at 3am, and the streets are always lit. This place closed I think 2 -2:30 on a weekday, I get its a week day but even in indy our clubs, bars, etc are open and streets are lit. Aside from that, very nice inside and chill relaxing place.
Cool spot. Good crowd. Was much better when the bouncers didn’t ask for cover charges. Doesn’t look good for the business and definitely keeps anyone that actually lives in otr away.
I had an incredibly upsetting and disappointing experience at Alice tonight. Upon entering, I followed your policy and surrendered my pepper spray for safekeeping, trusting that it would be securely returned to me when I left. However, when I exited and asked for my pepper spray, I was told it wasn’t there after I watched the doorman hand what appeared to be my pepper spray to someone else as they were leaving. When I asked about it, staff dismissed my concerns, said there was no purple one (the color of mine), and offered me someone else’s pepper spray. I felt incredibly uncomfortable being forced to take something that wasn’t mine not knowing the expiration date, how full it was, or even if it worked properly but I wasn’t left with a real choice. This is unacceptable. Pepper spray is not a casual item, it’s a personal safety device that I trusted you to take care of. Thoughtlessly giving it away, and then trying to cover it up without accountability shows a serious disregard for guest safety and trust. Not only did this make me feel unsafe and disrespected, but now I also have to spend my own money to replace something that your staff lost. I’m extremely upset that I’m left paying for your mistake on top of the stress this caused. As much as I love this bar, I don’t think I’ll be back for a while. I hope you take this feedback seriously and implement better policies around handling personal safety items, because the way it’s being managed now is completely irresponsible.
The drinks were good and the atmosphere was nice, and every employee was extremely nice with the exception of one bartender I ordered my drinks from on 12/14. (Mixed, short haircut, late 20’s probably) I don’t know if he was in a foul mood or what, but I have never had a worse experience ordering drinks. A few others around me noticed it immediately. I get it’s busy, I also work in customer service and sometimes you run out of steam throughout the night but I was really really surprised at how rude he was. I don’t normally write reviews but I can’t stop thinking back on it.
Held personal credit card information for over a week before charging account. Be weary they will take your credit card information and charge you whenever they decide too, could be a month later. Terrible business practice.
Went in to get a drink with my fiance and was told they couldn't make a drink from their website menu. Then asked for them to make me a drink from their current menu, just leaving out a single thing (pepper sauce) and was told no... Decided then and there to not order anything and leave. Bartender was rude and couldn't accommodate any requests even though they were dead. There were only 4 people in the entire bar...
