Bring your family and friends to this beautiful spot on a Sunday morning. You are just a walk away from Frida's house and the streets are covered with established trees and colorful homes. It's the beautiful parts of Mexico City. The food is great, you get a full breakfast of juice, coffee, eggs, and pan dulces. Linger a bit and take pictures. It's peaceful, relaxing and full of other families having a good time. :)
The place is very nice. We just visited but didn’t eat.
I loved our server, he had a sense of humor and wonderful service. We came early to have a walk through the restaurant gardens and had a great traditional Mexican breakfast.
There are places where time seems to pause — and Hacienda de Cortés is one of them. I had the privilege of hosting a private business presentation here, and standing within so many years of history was truly an honor. The moment you walk in, you can feel the past all around you — from the Spanish colonial architecture to the gardens and archways that whisper stories of centuries gone by. Inside, I found myself standing near an image of the Virgin Mary, surrounded by beauty, grace, and a sense of peace that words can’t quite describe. The staff was attentive, the service impeccable, and the food beautifully prepared. It’s not just a venue — it’s an experience where legacy and hospitality meet. For anyone visiting Coyoacán, this is a destination worth taking time for — whether for dining, private events, or simply to walk through a piece of Mexico’s living history. Hay lugares donde el tiempo se detiene — y la Hacienda de Cortés es uno de ellos.
I found this place on social media, had very mixed reviews but decided to take a chance and try it during my trip to CDMX. Me and my friend went there during winter time, the place was opened till 6pm and we got there almost at the end of their day. We got a table close to the last 2 tables they were serving, outside. It was a lovely set up with traditional metallic white chairs, although a bit chilly and windy. We chose the soup, main dish, dessert choice, which was perfect. The food was tasty and the waiter was very polite and friendly. We had fun taking pics of the hacienda and the bill wasn't overpriced as many reviews were stating. I can recommed this place and if I ever comeback to Coyoacán, would eat at this restaurant once again!
Historic colonial home converted into restaurant. The lush patio in the back is very charming, gives a sense of peacefulness, lots of green, open air. Servers are very attentive and respectful. Perfect spot to take a date or go with a group of friends. CC’s accepted. Reservation recommended.
My second time here today. Get here early the line gets long. The Desayuno Teaneco with fried eggs on top of cactus. So good. Beautiful restaurant setting in a garden with optional indoor seating. Main terrace with umbrellas covered tables and 2 elevated terraces. Food and service excellent. Divorced and Yucatán breakfast so flavorful.
MUST VISIT when in CDMX! Food, service and historic site all in one!
Magnificent venue. The service is wonderful. The good is at a great price. The building has a lot of history. I would consider a must do is you visit Mexico city.
Have you ever wondered where Hernan Cortéz lived? The man who invaded Nmand ked the conquest of Mexico had to have lived in a future restaurant. Spectacular place that is worth the visit. Good food and a wonderful self guided walking tour through history. Even if you are visiting from other parts of Mexico, this is a little detail of history that you haven't seen. Take the time to explorer.

Nice brunch with a lot of food quantities. Come with hunger . The menu is not typical eggs brunch menu. It's quite different
Whenever I visit Mexico City this is a most go! Beautiful Colonial Restaurant in my beloved Coyoacan, where Food, Drinks and Service are a wonderful experience .
Incredibly picturesque restaurant in the courtyard of former facienda of Hernan Cortes himself. You can walk the grounds and marvel at the beautiful architecture of this stately compound. Was lucky to capture lovely traditional music on Sunday afternoon as well. People complain about food, but frankly just having a glass of sangria under the warm Mexican sun in a beautiful patio makes for a perfect afternoon break.

A great place to have afternoon lunch. Food and wait staff service was average. If you are looking for an cool setting, you should try this place.
Well kept Hacienda. It has the distinct touch of massive trees within the architecture. Ideal for a Sunday brunch and then walk around the Hacienda, lovely gardens areas. In the heart of the city it is like a luxury Oasis l. Food was good. Service also good. Price as expected. Recommended.

The place is very beautiful! I really like the house and the gardens. The service is good. The prices are a bit high because the food is not great. Good, ok but not great. I would go back, though, just because of the ambience.

I love Coyoacan, the location could be great but the restaurant is decadent. They need an immediate renovation!

Not worth the hype, place is expensive IMO. Food is good but not great. They have a cat going all over the place. Place seems dirty. Not worth it at all.
Garden setting restaurant. Nothing expectacular about the food. Capitalizes on location where conquistador Hernando Cortes' house once stood. No remnants of his house though.

Beautiful place BUT one of the worst meal of my life. My dish tasted like a frozen generic fish in a bath of tartar sauce from a bottle, with a side of sad limp veggies. My friend's meal was a plate of greasy fried chicken with blah rice. Just bad. We only ate a quarter of our plate because we were starving. I don't understand the good reviews?

Service is the worst thing you will get on any México restaurant. These front service guys are mediocre all the time. From the hostess to the waiter. Maybe they think they are on other place. But their service is full of bad mood and laziness responses.
