Opinions de Pollo Costeño Ciudad De México
🍗 They have good promotions. + They offer home delivery. + It's a restaurant you can visit as a family because they offer table service, or you can go buy the chicken and get it to go. + They sell very good chicken at slightly high prices, but it's worth it for the large portions. + They have a Wednesday promotion where you buy a chicken and get half a chicken for free. + They also have some seafood, very good quesadillas, and some side dishes. + They don't have parking, but you can park nearby.
I 100% recommend everything, it's delicious!!! The chiltepin sauce is absolutely delicious, and everything from the chicken to the seafood is well served. Excellent location 👌🏻 The restrooms are a bit run down, but they do the job. 😀
The food was really delicious and good service
Now I really went wrong. The guy didn't give me the consommé for the flautas. He charged me 15 x for the chitepin for the chicken and the tea, which I love, was past its expiration date. I've been buying for years, but I hope it doesn't start to go downhill.
I really like the chicken here; they also serve seafood, which I haven't tried. But the chicken is excellent. They include delicious roasted chiles, and the tortillas are handmade—highly recommended. The prices seem reasonable. I like the place; it's not very big or fancy. It's a comfortable place to eat, though parking is limited. I recommend it!
Average flavor compared to the price
The service is very slow, if you arrive hungry, arrive with a lot of patience.
The chicken was very good! The only downside was the freshness of the salads; sometimes they taste rancid or are dry. The service is good, but they don't always remember to bring everything. The place doesn't feel clean, and it's very noisy and hot.
Half a chicken for $127 pesos, and they're like a Tweety Bird. The flavor is acceptable. They're generous with the salad, though. A two-liter sangria for $49 is a good price. As for music, they occasionally play reggaeton. I might go again.
I just went shopping and the guy who was taking my order and serving me had a cold and a cough and wasn't wearing a mask. He blew his nose and was coughing and touching his nose, and he never washed his hands; in fact, that's how he served me.
I went in to eat at approximately 3:30 pm the place was not very full just about 9 people spread out around the place, I decided to eat chicken with tamarind sauce, after they took my order I noticed that the service was inefficient and extremely slow, I do not blame them since there was only one waiter on duty and apart from that I had to repeat my order several times and it took hours but in the end the food arrived the plate looked average and presented normal according to the place but the plate arrived cold to the table and charred in some parts as well as bathed in a cold tamarind sauce very sweet to my liking, the meat had a good flavor outside of the burnt parts and disguised by the abundant amount of sauce, the side dishes were tasteless it was just a salad that in my opinion was not a salad since they were separate ingredients on a plate they were not even mixed, they also brought a tortilla holder with handmade tortillas, for my taste very simple plus a strange taste of flour and not In addition to that, my companion ordered beans, spaghetti, and shrimp as a snack. In short, the beans and spaghetti seemed like any food bought at a tortilla shop, bland and plain. The shrimp as a snack was chile water with cooked shrimp, not raw shrimp cooked in lemon. In conclusion, it's a place with inefficient service and poorly prepared food for the price you pay. While it's not much to expect quality, there are better places where for the same price you can eat better, faster, and with better quality.
They have a store outside the Walmart in Cuitláhuac and the service was terrible. The gentleman sent me away with his hands dirty. I know they are like that because of the coal, but he has a sink there. It would have cost him nothing to wash them. When I made the comment, he got upset and I preferred to leave without buying anything, since hygiene is essential in a food stand. I hope they improve customer service and hygiene.
They're currently running a 16-piece special for 299 pesos (includes tortillas, salad, and salsas). When we went in to order it, it turned out to be takeout only. I pointed out that by not mentioning the special on the sign, they were using false advertising. I really didn't see the point; the place only has two tables occupied out of 11. I don't know if management has changed or they have new policies, but it's really hard to understand. There's no one in charge. I don't recommend it anymore.
I'll explain why I rated them this way: Food: Appetizer salsa: salty or bland. Tortilla chips: very hard (inedible), you can tell they re-fry them and end up like that. Chicken: an 8 out of 10. Salads: I didn't get any that were bad. Sides and other hot dishes: salty or bland. Service: incredibly slow and rude, like they're doing you a favor. Atmosphere: it makes me feel like I'm in an old-fashioned diner. Overall, a few months ago the service and food were very good, now it's gone downhill. I won't be eating there again.
As for the food, the chickens are all very tasty, but the service is from the moment they start serving fishermen, not to mention their billing system. No one answers and they don't even have a contact number, and the branch where you buy from doesn't take responsibility or give you a solution.
